We've reached 700 episodes of Uplifting Only, and it's time to celebrate! We will journey in time from 2013 — the first year of the show —to the present. And this will be an all-instrumental episode. Ori has chosen finalists (both winners and runners-up) from the yearly Tune of the Year votes, choosing only all-instrumental tracks, and will play them in roughly chronological order. (Plus, to represent 2026, we have an exclusive world premiere of a forthcoming orchestral uplifter on Abora from later this summer.) We'll begin with the TOTY vote winner from 2013, and end with the TOTY vote winner from 2025. Enjoy this special episode! Schylling's CEO Paul Weingard is betting on it and honestly, the numbers are on his side. The NeeDoh Nice Cube Swirl isn't just another sensory stress ball. It's a Specialty Toy of the Year finalist that's been an Amazon best seller, is selling out in stores, AND building real emotional connection with kids and adults worldwide. One founder says “absolutely” and she's got the award to prove it.In this episode, I'm chatting with the amazing Courtney Peebles, founder of Solobo Toys, about how she won a TOTY Award for her hit plush toy, Emotional Baggage, and how rising manufacturing challenges pushed her to transform her business using 3D printed toys.Courtney gets real about the challenges she faced with manufacturing overseas, and how jumping into 3D printed toys helped her reduce costs, improve margins, and take back control of her production.
