Rasul is a 2L at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. Rasul's journey is one of the best this podcast has ever had to offer. From tire technician to College Valedictorian and Rhodes Scholar finalist, and now a rising 2L and an upcoming 3L Class President at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law.Rasul and I started before he arrived at college. Being an average High School Student, Rasul did not have many intentions of attending college. Inspired by a coworker at BJ's, he would begin his search. After finding out a scholarship could get him to Prince George's Community College for free, he would start his unforgettable journey. Following his time at Prince George's, Rasul finished his time at Towson University, being top 1% of his class, President of numerous organizations, a Rhodes Scholar finalist, and finally, Valedictorian Speaker. We then moved to his introduction into Law School, his 1L year, which he thoroughly enjoyed. It was a thought-provoking experience and a testament to the hard work he had accomplished in the 4 years before it. Even with the large workload, Rasul would become 1L Class President and follow his intellectual curiosity, speaking on the many internships he has held thus far. This episode with Rasul is one of my favorites of all time, full of amazing stories and a testament to pulling yourself up by the bootstraps and not limiting yourself, no matter what. Craig kicks off the show reacting to Maryland's big hire—Buzz Williams as the new head coach of the Terps. The former Texas A&M coach takes over for Kevin Willard, bringing his fiery coaching style and proven track record to College Park. Craig gives his initial thoughts on the hire, what it means for Maryland basketball, and how Williams fits into the program's future.
Craig welcomes Seth Emerson, senior writer at The Athletic covering the SEC, to break down Maryland's hire of Buzz Williams. Emerson calls Williams a “solid hire” and a much-needed boost for the program after a turbulent week. They discuss Williams' old-school coaching style, his track record, and whether Maryland's donors will step up to financially support the basketball program at a football-centric school.
With Buzz Williams now leading Maryland basketball, Anthony believes his ability to keep top DMV talent—like Kevin Willard did with 5-star recruit Derik Queen—will be key to energizing the fanbase. Craig and Anthony discuss how local recruiting was a weakness of the previous regime and why securing homegrown stars could define Williams' tenure.
In the first hour of Inside Access, the guys discuss Buzz Williams being named Maryland's MBB head coach. They also listen to John Harbaugh sound and share their thoughts on the Orioles rotation so far.

Rob and Jeremy took some time from Wednesday's BBMS to share their reactions to Mike Locksley's apparent frustration with Kevin Willard's comments about Maryland Athletics. Where do you think his exact frustrations lie? Is it fair to compare the slices of the pie that Maryland Football and Maryland Basketball each receive?
Rob and Jeremy took some time from Wednesday's BBMS to share their thoughts on Kevin Willard's Tuesday interview with Kevin Sheehan of The Team 980 in DC. Willard was asked if he's staying at Maryland and the Terps coach did say he and the school are "good" right now. Can we take that as a confirmation he'll return?
In the second hour of Inside Access, the guys discuss what Kevin Willard leaving Maryland would say about the University. They also talk about the Ravens plans at kick/punt returner and the Orioles plans with Gunnar Henderson headed to the IL.
The University of Maryland has been making tons of headlines both good and not so good. The Terps dominated during their win over Grand Canyon in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Then, Kevin Willard gave everyone a look behind the curtain at what his contract negotiations have looked like with AD Damon Evans as he is on his way out to SMU. All this leaves Lynnell to ask "what does Maryland have to do to keep up in the NIL Arms Race"?
