We'd love to hear from you. We'd love to hear from you. Send us fan mail!In this 5-part series premiere of From Stuck to Leading, a five-part self-coaching experience on Shedding the Corporate B!tch, executive coach Bernadette Boas opens with the question at the foundation of every coaching engagement she runs: Who are you as a leader when no one is watching? Not your title, not your results, not your LinkedIn profile, but the leader who shows up when the pressure is on, the recognition is absent, and the next five minutes are going to reveal everything about who you actually are.Drawing on 18 years of coaching over 400 executives, Bernadette walks Powerhouses through two diagnostic spotlight questions from her Leadership Gap Diagnostic — a free 25-statement assessment that places leaders in one of four performance tiers. The gap between how you intend to lead and how your leadership actually lands, and the gap between knowing you need to develop and actively closing that gap, are the two fault lines most leaders have never honestly examined. This is the coaching experience designed to change that — without the price tag of private coaching. Download the free Leadership Gap Diagnostic and start the series with your full baseline in hand. What You Will Learn Throughout The Series:•       How to close the gap between the leader you perform and the leader you actually are•       Why self-awareness in leadership is about accuracy, not self-indulgence — and how most executives are overestimating theirs•       The difference between intending to close your leadership gaps and actively doing it•       How one executive went from being passed over for VP to landing the role, at a different company, on her own terms, in 18 months•       How to use the free Leadership Gap Diagnostic to establish your baseline for all five episodes in this series Key Quote: "The leaders who sustain their impact, the ones who lead well under pressure, who earn genuine trust, who grow over decades instead of burning out, they are not the smartest or most talented. They are the ones who know who they are, clearly, honestly, and without the title doing the work for them." — Bernadette Boas Episode Chapters: 00:00:00 — Series Hook: Who Are You When No One Is Watching?00:01:00 — Welcome + Series Introduction: From Stuck to Leading00:02:00 — Bernadette's Story: From Fired to Foundation00:03:00 — How to Use the Leadership Gap Diagnostic00:05:00 — Branded Intro / How the Episode Works00:06:00 — Spotlight Question 1: Do You Know How Your Leadership Actually Lands?00:08:00 — Spotlight Question 2: Are You Actively Closing the Gap?00:10:00 — The Four Leadership Tiers + Diagnostic Reminder00:11:00 — The Identity Question: Returning to Who Are You When No One Is Watching?00:13:00 — What Shaky Leadership Identity Looks Like00:14:00 — Bernadette's Firing Story: The Identity Problem00:16:00 — Client Story: Dana's Path to VP00:18:00 — The I Dare You Challenge00:19:00 — Wrap Up: What to Take Away Today00:20:00 — Series Commitment + Subscribe CTA00:21:00 — Preview of Episode 2: What Are You Avoiding? ABOUT THIS SERIES — From Stuck to Leading: The Five-Part Self-Coaching ConversationEvery other Tuesday, Bernadette Boas asks one coaching question — the same question she asks every private client. Many thoughtful Christian women believe they're stuck because they need more clarity. But what if the real issue is something deeper? If you've ever silenced your desires, second-guessed your voice, or waited for permission before stepping into something God placed on your heart, this conversation will resonate deeply. You'll learn: • how self-abandonment quietly keeps women stuck • why thoughtful Christian women often silence themselves • how to begin trusting what God has already placed inside you • the first step toward stepping into your calling with courage If you've been feeling the tension between faithfulness and stepping into something bigger, this episode will help you recognize what might really be happening. For a long time, I thought the reason I felt stuck was because I needed more clarity. More confirmation. More certainty about what God wanted me to do. But the truth was… I already sensed the direction. I was just afraid to admit it. In this episode, I share a personal story about the moment I realized I had been circling my calling—not because God was silent, but because I didn't yet trust what He had placed inside me. If you've ever felt the tension between wanting to honor God and wondering if it's okay to pursue the desire on your heart, this conversation will resonate deeply. You'll hear: • the question that changed how I viewed calling • why many Christian women stay stuck waiting for perfect clarity • how learning to trust what God placed inside you can unlock movement • what changed when I finally stepped into the work I felt called to Today I get to coach women around the world who are wrestling with the exact same questions I once had. Have you ever felt a strong desire in your heart… but immediately questioned it? Is this from God? Or is this just me? For many thoughtful Christian women, this question creates a cycle of overthinking, hesitation, and waiting for perfect clarity before moving forward. In this episode, Christian life coach Renee Booe explores one of the most common fears women face when discerning their calling: What if I get this wrong? If you love God, want to honor Him with your life, and feel a pull toward something more—but aren't sure whether that desire is truly from God—this conversation will bring clarity and encouragement. As someone who studies both faith and neuroscience, Renee explains why our brains often try to eliminate uncertainty before we act—and why that approach can keep us stuck. You'll learn: • Why many Christian women distrust their desires • The difference between discernment and overthinking • How God often reveals calling through participation, not certainty • A simple filter to help you evaluate whether a desire aligns with God's design for your life • How to begin moving forward with faith, courage, and wisdom If you've ever wrestled with the tension between faithfulness and stepping into something bigger, this episode will help you understand how to discern your next step. Have you ever felt like God might be calling you to something more… but you keep circling the decision? You pray. You think. You wait for clarity. But the next step never quite feels clear enough. In this episode, Christian life coach Renee Booe explains why high-capacity Christian women often struggle the most with calling, purpose, and decision-making. If you're thoughtful, responsible, spiritually serious, and deeply committed to honoring God with your life… your intelligence and discernment can actually make calling feel harder, not easier. As someone who studies neuroscience, mindset, and faith-based transformation, Renee shares how your brain processes possibilities, risks, and responsibility—and why this can lead to overthinking, hesitation, and waiting for perfect clarity. But the real issue might not be a clarity problem. It might be something deeper. In this episode you'll learn: • Why high-capacity Christian women often overthink their calling • How your brain's ability to see possibilities can also make you see more risks • The hidden pattern of self-abandonment disguised as humility • Why many women wait for perfect clarity before moving • What the Bible actually shows us about calling, obedience, and taking the next step • How to begin trusting what God has placed inside you If you've been feeling the tension between faithfulness and stepping into something bigger, this conversation will help you understand what's really happening—and how to move forward with confidence. Dacia Moore, LPC, NBCC dives right into one of the biggest and all too common drawbacks of the nonprofit sector: BURNOUT. She draws from her training as a Licensed Professional Counselor, nonprofit executive search partner and personal experience with burnout to teach us how to manage our own emotional regulation and find long-term success in the nonprofit sector. Nurture a Championship Mindset. This isn't about winning a sports trophy. This is about resilience, optimism, and a burning desire to work with excellence. It sounds like, “I'm in this for the long haul, we're doing a good job and getting better everyday.” Acknowledge what needs to be improved and give the most energy to what works well. Avoid perfectionism, it will kill you. Sweeping your own doorstep, an idea she learned from Mother Theresa. Do what you can and what's in front of you. In a nonprofit leadership context this means not doing other people's job instead delegate and trust your staff. Then support the staff. Nonprofit leaders need to provide direction and vision and then move over to let staff execute.Remember that your piece, whatever it is matters. You matter and we can think about a tiny bolt to illustrate this. There was a bolt that got loose and an airplane door flew off midflight. Leaders need to focus on their part. Be the bolt, don't try to be the bolt, the plane, the FAA…And as you are working, remember that we all play to mixed reviews. In any group, you will have 40% with you, 40% not with you and 20% on the fence. Recognize the negativity bias, spend the bulk of your energy on those who are on the fence and those who are with you. As a job seeker, try to determine if the organization has healthy boundaries. Ask about the last person who was in this role, how long did they stay? What are the key traits of the next person who fills this role? How does the person that is interviewing you maintain healthy boundaries? Consider the interview process, was it designed to allow conversation or were you as a candidate just grilled by staff? Dacia leaves us with two big ideas: If Oprah and Michelle Obama can do it, so can you. Think of those who you admire. They're all human. If they can figure out how to achieve excellence and have balance, then you can too. Protect your mental and physical health; they are too important not to take care of them. The nonprofit sector needs leaders who can sustain their energy and keep coming back to do this challenging work.Resources: DaciaMoore.com From Stuck to Unstoppable: 5 Strategies for Getting Your Second WindABOUT THE GUEST:For eight years, Dacia L.
