After years of fighting, Joe Kagan along with his manager, L.Moody, arrive in Walnut Grove. The residents see it not only as a new form of entertainment but also a possible way of winning $50. Johnathan Garvey is busy practicing up in the Mill storage room, Mr. Oleson is being drafted to fight by his family,  and Charles is busy building the boxing ring for the match. An unfinished job takes Johnathan Garvey out of the fight and Charles steps in to takes his place.  And he wins....and Joe Kagan doesn't get up.   A visit to Doc Baker reveals some news that puts Joe Kagan at a crossroad: Continue to fight and you will die. A slow road to recovery brings a friendship between Charles and Joe, the rest of the Ingallas, and the residents of Walnut Grove.  In fact, Joe Kagan enjoys his new way of life he feels ready to finally settle down and buy a farm.  Heading to Springfield to make a purchase on some property, Joe Kagan comes across his old manager, who abandoned him in his time of need, and now has a new fighter:  Joe Kagan's son, Tim, whom Joe hasn't seen in fourteen years.  It's soon revealed to Joe Kagan exactly how bad of a manager L. Moody has been to him over the years.  Wanting to keep his son from following in his footsteps and to help his son get over his anger, Joe Kagan has one more fight in the ring to complete.  What sort of crops will Joe Kagan grow on his farm? After building the boxing ring, will Charles help tear it back down? Will Laura ever be the main character of an episode again in this season?

Upon returning home from Newton/New Deadwood at the end of last season things seem to be as they were. But this is the prairie and things never are just as they seem. A new resident has shown up in Walnut Grove, Kizia Horn, and she is living it up in a house with no walls...in fact she is living in the deserted house root cellar. Which is making some of the residents feel a little unsure of the situation. This of course is led by Harriet Oleson. Meanwhile, back at Plum Creek, Jack is acting a little unusual, a little run down, a little tired and sadly, passes away. Laura is now living her life without he bestest friend. And Charles seems to think the best solution is...A new pet. #toosoon. While Laura is dealing with her lose and the Town is wondering what to do about Kizia, we're also introduced to Jonathan Garvey. Why? I'm not sure just yet. And he helps to supply the a bit of humor for today's episode. He also seems to be the only adult who is giving Kizia a chance. And, Mr. Oleson spends part of the episode inebriated. Will Laura find a way to accept having a new dog in her life? Does Nellie Oleson realize that she will never be an actress? Should Carrie be allowed to help prepare any more food?

Elmer Dobkins is not like the rest of the student body of Walnut Grove. Aside from being a little shy and having a fondness for taking care of animals in need, Elmer is also a few years behind everyone else in school. Which is the main reason he is picked on/teased/bullied by the older kids. And just like Carrie White, Elmer Dobkins soon finds himself being nominated for something he never wanted to be: Class President. It's nothing more than dirty politics from this point on. While Nellie Olson continues to resort to her one true and tried method of retaining friends/voters: Bribery, Mary Ingallas is working on being an honest candidate. And, Sadly, Elmer Dobkins election campaign managers have promised Elmer will eat a worm for each vote he receives. After witnessing how Elmer is treated by his classmates Elmer's Father tells him to withdraw from the election. Even though Elmer, now, wants to at least make an attempt at trying to win. It all comes down to speeches, votes, and little bit of election history proving that a single vote can make a difference. How many Bullies live in the Hero township area? Will Laura be a successful campaign manager if her spelling is usually incorrect? What other crops, in addition to corn, are being held in the Ingallas Soddy pantry/air BnB?

When it rain it pours...metaphorical rain, not real rain. Giving herself a point, Laura manages to convince Charles she has grown up and is ready to go on a hunting expedition with him. After some reluctance from Caroline and some bad advice from Mr. Edwards, these two are off on a Father-Daughter weekend trip. And what a trip it turns out to be. From leaving loaded weapons out in the open, being dragged along the forest ground, having the horse fall down a cliff side, and so much more this weekend is anything but pleasant for Half Pint. And the only options Laura has, once Charles has been brought to a safe place, is to 1) wait at the Shelby Trapper Cabin with Big Daddy Shelby for the return of his son, Ben Shelby, so he can fetch some help or 2) try to navigate the wilderness with the help of Big Daddy Shelby...who hasn't left the area around the cabin for a number of years. Oh, also Big Daddy Shelby is blind...hence why he hasn't done much traveling away from the house. Of course, they decide to leave Charles alone as they try for the search for help. And Charles, even with a gun shot wound, falling off a horse and rolling down a steep hillside, manages to find the strength to.....almost drown himself when he goes looking for water. And you thought hanging out with a drunk goat was a rough weekend. Will Laura reconsider ever going on another Father-Daughter Hunting trip? Will Big Daddy Shelby ever make it beyond the woods and visit the world? Who brings a Doctor to the scene and doesn't bother to introduce him to ANYONE?

So taken by the young woman, Danny decides to kidnap her and keep her as a pet in his totally unprepared apartment where she is sure to slowly starve to death OR, maybe, choke as he tries to shove bran down her snoring throat. Volpe doesn't take kindly to this and soon orchestrates events to a show down crammed with imagery ripped wholesale from dystopian surrealist Beksinski. Will Laura rouse beyond her dream or will her Parasomnia envelop them all?     Episode 246- Love Spectrum

From Plum Creek WIth Love turns 1...and what better way to celebrate than with A Halloween Episode!!! On Halloween night, with a Full Moon nonetheless, Laura and Mary head into Walnut Grove to pull some pranks on the Mercantile. However, while peering into the Oleson's windows instead of soaping them Laura witnesses something far more gruesome. And what is more frighten to Laura is no one believes her about what she witnessed. Not Her Family. Not Willie or Nellie. But Carl Sanderson, after a little persuasion, he does. Together these two try to solve the mystery of what happened to Harriet Oleson. And truth be told, nothing happened to her....but Laura doesn't know this because Nellie and Willie don't tell her and decide to pull a prank of their own instead. Devilish fun ensues ...as much as it can out on the Prairie. Will Laura consider a future as a detective in homicide? What other meals does Mr. Oleson know how to cook? Again, should I be concerned about Carl Sanderson?

A quiet evening on the prairie is interrupted by...a twister. The action on scene lasts only moments but the repercussions last the remaining of the episode. Charles is not only struck upside the head by a wooden plank , he is also struck with questioning his faith and makes a rash decisions to move the family back to Wisconsin. However, the womenfolk in the family are trying to prevent this action. Unfortunately, practically overnight, the Ingallas end up with a potential buyer of the property. In fact, we come to find out the buyers 1) lived on the land 40 years ago 2) built the sod house and 3) also had an experience with a tornado on the land. hmmm...Ghosts of Walnut Grove past/present/future? While Charles is taking care of things to get ready to move, the episode's second story line kicks in....the budding relationship/feelings between Big Sister Mary and John Junior Sanderson. And it only took a tornado to bring them together. While these young lovebirds are exploring and being introduced to new feelings, Charles, after ignoring the advice from everyone...comes to a decisions that will affect the Ingallas family. However, the Potential Buyer of the land has some plans of his own. Will Charles soon realize that he needs to listen to the womenfolk in the family first? Now that she's had the experience, Will Laura respond sooner when seeking shelter during a tornado? Did we just finish season 2 with a relationship cliffhanger?

There is a storm brewing and not just the one that is overhead. Laura and Nellie have come to a crossroad in their own relationship when both of them have eyes for a new boy at school, Jason. Jason simple loves science, technology, and flying kites in the rain. Laura doesn't mind getting herself a little dirty or wet when it happens to be in the name of science. However, she is in for a shock when Nellie reveals that she has her own copy of the newest and latest technological discovery. And although those are not fighting words, this new machine can repeat anyone's words good or bad. It seems pretty amazing and it does get Jason's attention momentarily, who seems to be more interested in how it works than who owns it. Unsure of how to handle being denied something/someone, Nellie is compelled to do something terrible with something new and wonderful. Will Laura just sit back and Listen? Will Nellie Oleson finally take it one step too far? Did Mary really deliver an eye roll to Laura at the dinner table?
