Hotel room amenities and their convenience & order of dative and accusative in a sentence when both objects are nouns. It's getting late and bad weather is coming. Paul's rain jacket was in the backpack which he lost. He sees a clothes shop, but it closed 5 minutes ago. He has been looking for Fritz for two hours today. Now the e-scooter battery is almost empty. Paul sees another red BMW, but is disappointed again - it's not Fritz's car. He's hungry and still doesn't have a hotel room. He gets a message from Laura: She wanted to call him, but that didn't work. Is he ignoring her? Paul had told her to read his blog to soften the unpleasant news for her. Unfortunately for Paul, it seems like she only read the beginning where he was just dating her because he needed information. She's very angry! It starts to rain and Paul accelerates, because he wants to find a hotel fast. That's when the e-scooter battery dies. He gets soaked. Hopefully his cell phone and laptop won't get wet, otherwise his online work will be over. He wants to give up the search and write about it in the blog. Will Laura read the rest of the blog and see Paul's good side? What if you never find your person? That question hit me hard, and honestly… it's one I know a lot of us have avoided. But instead of spiraling into fear, I decided to turn it into an opportunity—a 28-day commitment to falling in love with myself. Because self-love isn't something we wait for; it's something we build. In this episode, I'm sharing why I started this challenge, what I've learned so far, and how you can start prioritizing your own self-love today.
Australia continues to produce horror films, and like many movies, they can be hit or miss. The horror-thriller from early 2024 entitled YOU'LL NEVER FIND ME (2024) is the latest. After playing the festival circuits, including Tribeca, it had its United States release on Shudder on March 22nd, 2024.From IMDB: "Patrick, a strange and lonely resident, lives in a mobile home at the back of an isolated trailer park. During a violent storm, a mysterious young woman appears at his door seeking shelter from the elements."The film was jointly directed by Josiah Allen and Indianna Bell from a script by Indianna Bell. The film stars Brendan Rock, Jordan Cowan, and Elena Carapetis. Though receiving fairly good reviews from critics, audiences were a bit cooler on it. Your co-hosts take a look at the film and see if it lives up to the critics' thought.
What if all your efforts to create happiness and meaning are actually driving them further away? In Ecclesiastes 2, the Teacher of Ecclesiastes hits rock bottom, confronting the stark truth: every attempt to create lasting meaning or happiness is fleeting, ultimately undone by the certainty of death. But it's here, in this moment of despair, that he uncovers something extraordinary. He realizes he doesn't have to strive to make his life meaningful—because meaning isn't something we achieve; it's something God gives. When the Teacher finally lets go of the need to control and define his life, his hands are open to receive life for what it truly is: a gift from God.
In this episode, Kayla and Martina provide the latest update on the Bri vs Grace drama over at Barstool. They also discuss their recent holiday activities and plans for 2025.

Tayler tells us how celebrities are just like us and sometimes historical figures get their body parts stolen after death. The list includes a military general that lost his manhood and now its a family heirloom CUUUUTE! Spank you for listening. Do less God bless. Gloom & Bloom out!

AudioFile's Robin Whitten tells host Jo Reed about the fun of diving into the start of a new series from a favorite author, Allison Brennan. Hillary Huber has the perfect voice for PI Margo Angelhart, portraying her as confident, righteous, and brave. Margo's chapters, told in the first person, let listeners experience her thoughts and emotions as she protects abused women and uncovers her own client's deceptions. But listeners also hear the points of view of several other characters in their own chapters, adding depth to our understanding and all masterfully differentiated by Huber. A fantastic start to this new series. Read our review of the audiobook at our website. Published by Harlequin Audio. Discover thousands of audiobook reviews and more at AudioFile's website. Podcast 296 This week, we've got a full stack of new films. We'll open with the much-hyped “Longlegs” and see if we agree with the buzz. We'll stop in and check out an “Oddity,” try not to die in “Tuesday,” figure out how to get by while “Handling the Undead,” and maybe go to a place where “You'll Never Find Me.” All of these have been released in 2024. We've also got five fun shorts this week as well. Since our little restructuring last month, we've decided to bump up the benefits for paying subscribers. Earlier this week, we also sent out our first subscriber-only newsletter. In this first one, we examined all the movies in “The Prophecy” series, mostly starring Christopher Walken. We're not cutting back on the free newsletters, but we're offering more than we did to the paid people. Subscribers also get full access to the archive of more than three years of back issues, which is easily searchable. Esther delves into the complexity of modern relationships and the increased expectations we place on them.[4:55]: The perfect recipe to fail in your relationship and remain single for life, according to Esther.[8:55]: The fundamental reasons why people get together in the first place.[11:05]: With 40 years of experience, Esther has developed a keen intuition. She shares how she leverages it in her practice.[15:25]: An example from her practice: Should I break up with my dad? Esther offers insights into understanding and improving familial relationships.[18:25]: The overemphasis on psychotherapy's focus on what people lacked after Freud, and how this perspective has shifted.[20:55]: Applying Esther's approach to other fields like geopolitics or the business world. Over the past week, so many of you have expressed how much Angela's story in my new book, Love Life, touched you deeply (in the chapter titled “Have Hard Conversations”). So this week I thought I'd share the actual interview with her from my Live Retreat. I've found that one of the biggest confidence-killers in dating happens when we dwell on the reasons why someone may not be attracted to us. Our looks, our age, our past, even the fact that we have kids—the fear of rejection for who we are can stop us before we get started. Angela's story is one of the most impactful I've heard on confidence and insecurity, and I think you'll love hearing it in her own words. ►► Order My New Book, "Love Life" at → http://www.LoveLifeBook.com ►► Transform Your Relationship with Life in 6 Magical Days. Thank you for listening to The Following Films Podcast. Today, I'm joined by Directors Josiah Allen and Indianna Bell to discuss their film YOU'LL NEVER FIND ME In the Australian outback, a lonely, paranoid man, Patrick (played by Brendan Rock) gets a knock on his door during a torrential storm. He finds a woman, only known as "The Visitor" (played by Jordan Cowan, who also produces) in need of a phone to find her way home. He cautiously lets her in, which sets off a claustrophobic night of doubt, hidden motivations, and a tense, ever-shifting game of mental cat-and-mouse. All of which leads to, without spoiling anything, an explosive finale that turns the paranoia thriller format on its head! Directors Josiah Allen and Indianna Bell approached their feature debut like a challenge. Indianna, who also wrote the film, set out to see how much tension they could conjure with potentially limiting factors like a singular location and just two actors. With a small team of trusted collaborators from their previous short films, such as their remarkable cinematographer Maxx Corkindale, the duo sought to capture a brooding and anxious atmosphere a la 'Enemy' or 'It Comes At Night' while channeling the darkness and isolation that Australian filmmakers do best. The final product that subverts the dialogue-driven, chamber piece structure on its head and serves as yet another bold entry to the recent renaissance of horror down under!
