Typically, athletes compete in either the Summer or Winter games specializing in one sport, but there are always exceptions to the rules! Our guest for this episode, Lauryn Williams, is the first American woman to earn a medal in both the Summer and Winter Olympic Games. Lauryn won a silver medal in the 100-meter dash at the 2004 Olympics in Athens, she won a gold medal in the 4x100 meter relay in the 2012 Olympics in London, and then a silver medal in the 2 women bobsled competition in the Sochi Games in 2014. Not only did she have a tremendous Olympic career, she accomplished it all the right way! That is why Lauryn has been a member of our ALL ME Advisory Board for many years now, showing others they can achieve their goals without the use of Appearance and Performance Enhancing Substances. After retiring from sport, Lauryn has had a tremendous career as an entrepreneur as well! After seeing many athletes not get the financial guidance they need during their athletic career, Lauryn became a Certified Financial Planner and started her own company, Worth Winning, which offers virtual services to help young professionals get the answers to the financial questions that matter most to them. Lauryn is also a motivational speaker, a podcast host, a community advocate, and an author. She wrote The Oval Office: a 4x Olympian's Guide to Becoming a Professional Athlete. It is actionable advice on how to succeed at building a career as a professional athlete. Lauryn has had an amazing career both on and off the field, and we want to thank her for inspiring and helping others to do the same!
