What if the secret to scaling your high-ticket offer wasn't a bigger audience, but a smarter funnel? Today's case study unpacks how Vix Meldrew's surprising move to lean into an unscalable funnel strategy actually added $150K of revenue and signed 99 clients in just one year. After seeing shifts in buyer behavior, Vix leveraged the Lipstick Effect (an economic theory explained in our conversation) to tweak her funnel, swapping out a traditional webinar for a micro-class and private podcast combo, and offering an unscalable but high-touch, high trust-building opportunity on the backend. The result? A 35% conversion rate on her first launch, consistent evergreen sales, and a staggering speed-up of the buying cycle, with the average new lead converting after just 10 days or less on her list. Here are the exact changes and execution that transformed Vix's funnel. #545: Kat feels thrown off. She's realizing that the simple investing strategy that nearly 5x'd her portfolio in six years might be unwise. Should she course correct? And how? Ryan and his wife are torn between buying what they want (a single-family house) and what seems prudent (a multi-family house). How do they decide? Is there a third way? At 30, Danielle has saved enough for a traditional retirement. But she's confused about how this meshes with planning for an early retirement. How should she think about money buckets? This guided meditation is all about creating space for possibility in the face of challenging situations in your life. While we all have challenging situations in life, I created this meditation for my 12,000 Google colleagues who were laid off last year and the thousands of other people affected by layoffs in the tech sector since then.I am grateful to still have my job but so many of my friends do not. These layoffs are a wake up call to all of us - a reminder of why it's so important to be intentional about your life and to build financial resilience to overcome challenging times. Overview of the practiceWe begin by finding a comfortable and alert position, then taking three deep breaths to notice the breath sensation in our body. We are practicing mindfulness and observing our thoughts in a kind and curious way. Then we zoom out on our life a bit and bring to mind a challenging situation we are dealing with - a layoff, a divorce, death of a family member or pet.We observe this situation with mindfulness, which is simply a kind, curious awareness Then we shift to exploring what possibility might exist, however small, in this challenging situation.I sincerely hope this meditation is useful to you as you process the challenges you face and shift into embracing the possibilities life is presenting to you.Wishing you all the best on your journey. This December is my final year end month for Martinis and Your Money and around this time every year, I'm always talking to clients about goal setting for the following year. And if you've listened to this show before, you know that one of the most important financial goals that I am most passionate about is Financial Independence and that's the ability to work because you WANT to work and not because you HAVE to work. Fi is the number one goal we give to all of our clients at Financial Gym and it's the number one goal I beg of you to set for 2024 and beyond. Joining me today is Tanja Hester, founder of the Our Next Life blog and author of the books Work Optional and Wallet Activism. I have always appreciated Tanja's approach to Financial Independence and she joins me today to share more of that journey and what she and her husband have been up to since the declared Financial Independence six years ago. Episode 184: Leading a Work-optional Lifestyle Victor Gaxiola of TechGirl Financial
This week's theme on the Retirement Quick Tips Podcast is: Retire…Never? Today, I'm talking about reframing the retire never idea with the work optional idea instead. Saving and investing with the idea that you could retire sometime between 60-65, regardless of when you actually do retire, should be the goal. You'll save enough and have the ability to retire, but there's no pressure to keep working and you could retire at any time without a significant financial cost or downgrade in lifestyle if you happen to retire sooner than planned. There's tremendous strength and freedom that comes with work optional. There's no pressure to keep working or hold on tightly to a career or a job you currently have, because you could take it or leave it. It's the detachment that gives you the freedom to enjoy your last working years and focus instead on what you enjoy doing, and what brings you the most satisfaction and meaning. And it's only by saving as if you'll retire sooner than you planned that you'll get there. That's it for today. Thanks for listening! As women founders and leaders, we talk often about making money, and lots of it. But are we using the money we make to create the kinds of changes that we want to see in the world? I like to say that money is power, but only if you make it so. Your money becomes a powerful force when you use it in a way that advances your mission, aligns with your values, and brings your vision to life. And this week, I have someone who is a living example of what's possible when you're intentional about how you generate wealth and use your money to advance the causes you believe in. Keep reading Tanja Hester has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, and CNBC, just to name a few. As the author of Work Optional and Wallet Activism, she's been widely recognized for her thought leadership in the area of wallet activism. She also spent a long career in political consulting until she retired in 2017 at the age of 38, and she's offering her insights on her road to retirement on this episode too. Join us this week as Tanja gives us the lowdown on wallet activism. She's offering her deep well of wisdom on what wallet activism looks like, why it requires critical thinking and discernment on our parts, and how it's truly a long-term, life-long project we all need to be on board with. Today on the Power + Presence + Position Podcast: Tanja's earliest memory of being a person who wants to make changes for the greater good. How Tanja retired at the age of 38 and made it so work is optional for her. Why wallet activism is truly a long-term, life-long project. What wallet activism means and how Tanja's interest in it started. Why wallet activism isn't just about spending. Tanja's thoughts on the problem with organic food. What surprised her most about the themes that emerged in her research on wallet activism. The biggest shifts Tanja has made since embracing wallet activism. Why responsible banking is more important than you realize, and responsible investing is less important than you think. Many spa owners get into their path of entrepreneurship because they love the work, the people, the transformations they help their clients make. But as many spa owners discover, being a provider in the treatment room isn't something many of us aim to do forever. If you've been thinking about your next stage of spa ownership and crafting an exit strategy that keeps your spa successful but allows you to remove yourself from the treatment room, I've got a treat for you today. In this episode, I'm talking with my long-time client and dear friend, Andrea Klein, who is now on the “work optional” path of entrepreneurship. This is a woman who was operating as a solo aesthetician just a few years ago and has now built her spa to 7-figures and is branching into the world of ecommerce and non-profit work. If you don't know Andrea yet, she is a licensed aesthetician, multiple business owner and self-proclaimed women's activist. She started her career by going to beauty school at age 34 and in less than 9 years she's built a 7-figure day spa that she was able to retire from so she could focus on her life's purpose, the Liberté Foundation for Women. Andrea now travels the world documenting women's stories of freedom and entrepreneurship, and through her nonprofit, she is able to share the gift of freedom through grant giving to female small business owners around the world. In this episode, we discuss: Some of the mindset shifts Andrea has to go through as she removed herself from her spa and relied fully on her team What things Andrea had to get clear on in order to pave the path forward for her spa to be able to operate in the day-to-day without her The importance of acknowledging and overcoming limiting beliefs and a discussion around feminine energy and embracing our natural gifts and inclinations How Andrea is scaling for impact through her work with her skincare company and her 501-c3 non-profit, the Liberté Foundation More insight on how AddoAesthetics is participating in the the Liberté Foundation's mission through grants for women in the spa and beauty industry To read the full show notes for this episode, visit: http://www.addoaesthetics.com/blog/282 Keep the conversation going inside the Spa Marketing Made Easy Community by clicking here.
