#128: There are no dumb questions when it comes to food allergy awareness! In this episode my colleague pediatrician Ron Sunog, MD and I are answering YOUR questions about introducing allergenic foods to your baby. What if the parent has a food allergy, will the baby inherit it? How much of an allergenic food do you introduce in order for it to “count”? What about feeding babies with peanut allergy peanut oil, how to handle reintroducing cow’s milk foods if baby had cow’s milk intolerance and lots more! Dr. Sunog & I just launched our brand new food allergy program called EAT THE 8. It’s all about how to safely introduce your baby to the BIG 8 allergenic foods (+ sesame) and we’re also including a 4-week live Q&A component where program members can ask us any allergy related questions if you get stuck introducing these new foods to your baby. You DON’T need to buy into expensive supplement powder programs to introduce allergenic foods. Babies can learn to eat allergenic foods & we can show you how. Check out EAT THE 8 program at www.foodallergyclass.com & come join us in this FOOD FIRST REVOLUTION!!! If you’re ready to raise an independent eater and prevent picky eating then let’s get started learning about baby-led weaning together! Subscribe, rate and review the podcast here. #126: When did allergenic food introduction become about feeding babies supplements and powders and stick-packs? What about good old fashioned food? Research demonstrates that early introduction of allergenic foods helps prevent food allergies...but those studies were done with FOOD - not gimmicky subscription model supplement programs! My fellow FOOD FIRST colleague, Dr. Ron Sunog and I have teamed up to bring you a really novel approach to preventing food allergy in your baby...wait for it...feed your baby actual FOOD! And our new program EAT THE 8: Preventing Food Allergy with Food shows you EXACTLY how to do that (safely) and is now open for enrollment. If you’re interested in learning how to safely select, prepare and offer your baby the BIG 8 allergenic foods (plus sesame) - we’ve got a step-by-step road map for you, taught by 2 experts specializing in food and feeding. As long as your baby is 6 months of age + showing the other signs of readiness to eat, we can help your baby eat the allergenic foods in as little as 9 weeks. In this week’s episode, we will be speaking to Annessa Good and Merle Good in the first of a two-part episode about Farm Transition. Merle is a Farm Business Management Consultant and has been working with farm families for decades. Annessa is a Farm Transition Advisor with Farm Credit Canada. We are excited to have this dynamic duo on the show this week because, as father and daughter, their unique situation allows them to bring a multi-faceted and multi-generational view to farm transition planning. In this week’s episode, we will be discussing Succession Planning, and in next week’s episode we will be discussing Estate Planning. In this episode; Merle and Annessa define succession planning and estate planning and share how they see them as two pillars within the umbrella process of transition planning. They expand on why they encourage farm families to look at who takes over the farm (succession planning) and the farm wealth (estate planning) separately and then again as part of the much larger picture. They speak to the importance of communication and how unspoken expectations are the silent killer on family farms. Merle and Annessa discuss farm roles, responsibilities, and compensation. They share how farming is an equity game versus an income game and they speak to why this difference is important. This episode is jammed packed with nuggets of wisdom and strategies from Merle and Annessa’s work with Canadian farm families. You DON’T want to miss this one, and make sure to tune into next week’s episode for part two of this interview. ***Don't forget to sign up as an Impact Farming Insider so that you are first to know about all-new episodes, fantastic contests, and new promotions https://www.farmmarketer.com/impact_farming_show/sign-up …………………………. 152: How to Become Money Literate In this episode you will learn about: Why ignoring our money is selfish How God instils gifts in you to be used for wealth “Love of money is root of all evil” perspectives What to do when you are overwhelmed by money Wealth vs money Resources: Profit Ready Road Map: https://networthit.org http://aseatatthetable.life Show Notes: What if this was the last year that you felt scared there would be enough money from your business to cover your needs? What if you knew what to ask when you met with a potential future accountant? What if you didn’t have to rely so hard on your accountant to explain things to you? Guest Bio: Mandy Scheller (@ownitaccounting) is a CPA with a Master’s degree in accounting… and it STILL took her many years of experience and experimentation to figure out how all this money stuff works. Let’s face it: many of us learned practically nothing about money or entrepreneurship in school. If you don’t want to learn from trial and error, you’ll need to draw on the experience of others. Mandy comes from a rural, blue-collar background. In fact, just 10 years ago, she was a broke freelance graphic designer trying to run her own business while working two dead-end jobs. She decided she needed a financial education, so she went back to school to become a CPA. Thankfully, things have turned around, and her and her husband are on an active path to leaving a legacy for our two daughters. For the last 7 years, she has worked in corporate and public accounting, and realized that many small business owners can’t afford to get the business and tax advice that they really need in a one-on-one setting. The secret is – you don’t need a fancy degree to become financially literate. You DON’T want to be at the mercy of someone else’s professional judgment, especially if they are charging you by the hour.

Have you ever avoided getting you pictures taken because you just feel unnatural or awkward in front of the camera? Girl....read on!I know far too many people that have had a bad experience with pictures. Having a bad session can totally turn us off from taking photos. But what I want to tell you first and foremost, is that if you are hiring a personal branding photographer, you want to make sure that you are hiring someone who knows their stuff. There’s a HUGE difference in someone who will just push a button to take pictures and someone who knows how to guide and direct you. If you are not in a position to hire someone right now, or if you find yourself in a situation where you are not getting the posing direction you need, I’ve got 4 tips to help you feel and look more natural in front of the camera.1. Incorporate MovementI always start off my sessions this way. Whether walking, talking, or working, it can help to loosen you up and get more comfortable in front of the camera. So start with an action. Move around. Walk, talk, make a coffee. Do the things that you normally do in your business. Got it? The ideas are endless.2. Create Candid MomentsIf you do not want to be posed or look stiff, then don’t do stiff things. It can be as simple as playing with your dog or reading a book. These moments shouldn’t be perfect or staged. What this does is it brings people into your world, virtually, of course….and allows you to be relatable and authentic. The best way to be authentic is to invite your audience into your life ever so slightly. Almost like they are a fly on your wall, or your best friend that you’re meeting for coffee.3. Change Your FocusSo if you’re like, "I’m terrified of getting in front of the camera because I can NEVER take a good picture” then I’ll let you in on a little secret. You DON’T have to look at the camera! Think about looking in a different direction, off to the side, even down at the ground. Changing your focus can actually help your viewer follow along to where you are looking. This also adds a ton of variety. You could honestly be in the exact same position, but just turn your head and change your focus a few times and BAM! You’ve got 4 different looks. 4. Show EmotionsLet your guard down a little and accept who you are….all of you. It’s usually the people who say they want natural looking photos that are stiff and critical of themselves and they think that if they just had a natural looking photo they would like how they look in photos. That is 100% backwards. We have to be willing to get comfortable with how we look in photos first….no matter what our faces are doing...and THEN we will start to look natural. *BONUS* Practice, Practice, PracticeIf you want to know how to look natural in your pictures, you need to practice. The more you practice, the more natural you will feel when you are posing. I promise. So get practicing, got it?!*BONUS* LaughJust laugh. I spend a huge portion of my sessions with my clients laughing. Because nothing feels more natural or loosens you up more than laughing. You’ve been asking it of me for forever and I’ve finally got it for you! Introducing the:Quick Start Brand Posing GuideThis beautiful guide has 10 of my favorite and best selling poses that you can immediately. It’s the perfect guide to start practicing with!

He’s a meeting planner who controls some of the world's TOP stages, and is the founder or co-founder of multiple brands worth over $1 billion! We first met over 10 years ago when he donated to a non-profit I was involved with, called Rachel’s Challenge. Fast forward to present day, and we have now established a partnership with Tony Robbins and Dean’s and company, Knowledge Business Blueprint! In this episode, we discuss the power of self-education and having specialized knowledge. He opens up about the moment that changed his life for the better, and opened his mind to an entirely new world. We also discuss the BOOMING industry that Forbes says is headed to $1 billion PER DAY, and how you can use this to your advantage. Alcohol Outline Quick Recap from Episode 2 - Morning Routines (0:15) Todays podcast is focused on alcohol (2:15) I’ve experienced both sides of drinking Side 1 - the unforgettable nights Side 2 - nights we’re drinking for all the wrong reasons I cut back A LOT on drinking alcohol to focus on myself (12:05) The scary truths (13:05) I’ve had family members die, get DUI’s, lost careers, ruin relationships etc from booz I’ve been behind the wheel when I shouldn’t / been in a car with someone who shouldn’t have been either I’ve drank beyond my limits to the point I’ve blacked out I’ve used it as a form of escapism from things that I’ve dealing with in my life What I’ve realized about myself with drinking (22:50) I can only drink in moderation or else it can become a problem Depending on the situation it’s better for me NOT touch it at all Alcoholism is a disease that I think can pass on from generation to generation Moving to LA helped me cut back on drinking significantly (25:30) I lived with Dylan (who has never drank) & Steve (who rarely does). Felt like an outcast if I was to drink solo First night out in LA, I missed a handful for networking opportunities because i was too busy drinking. Hard but valuable lesson to learn. Driving for Uber full-time, I worked every Friday & Saturday night I surrounded myself with go-getters, hustlers & passionate people Alcohol can bring people together for the right reasons or can be the only reason (32:20) One common goal : to drink & go out But would we still be hanging with these people if we removed the booz? Now I drink to REWARD myself for a great week (34:15) Sober October in 2019 was incredibly beneficial for me (34:55) 30 days of no booz The benefits from doing it I slept better every night, I saved $$$, I didn’t waste time hungover / unmotivated, made better eating decisions, energy levels were consistent everyday, had better headspace to think / create & I realized I didn’t need it to survive Cutting off drinking completely (39:40) Alcohol is the cherry on top. It’s not necessary but it’s appreciated. I try to avoid at all costs during business environments Bearded Man Community Q’s (43:15) Does it take time and space to break the cycle of being addicted to drinking? @JoeySher37 3 internal benefits of being sober for 30 days? Things you feel but people can’t see? @JordanTarver (46:40) How easy is it for you to enjoy nights being sober compared to them when you were drinking? @Ben_Bradfordd (47:50) What’s the worst alcohol experience you’ve had? @NickCincotta (50:05) When did you realize it was a problem? It’s social and fun to have but when is it excessive? @TylerxJay (52:35) We have to be responsible with it. Self control = key 2 enjoy @Aalbergarcia Big takeaways (56:40) Moderation with alcohol is key It should be a treat to reward ourselves I can’t control past decisions but I can control todays / future ones Would you still be around certain people if we removed the alcohol? You DON’T need it to survive Episode wrap-up (59:10) Today was the last podcast EVER recorded in the bedrudio at the content crib Hope this pod gave you guys/gals some insight on alcohol Please screenshot & post this podcast to your IG story tagging me! @Bobbbaaay If I provided enough Bearded Wisdom, plz leave a 1 sentence review on the iTunes Podcast App!
