Tread Perilously's Failed Prestige month continues with the second episode of Hap and Leonard, "The Bottoms." Hap is still trying to find the bridge from his childhood that will lead to the river that, in turn, will lead to the money Howard hired him to find. Leonard is less sure as Howard's goons are both dumb and dangerous. He also gets a phone call that will force him to leave town. Later, Hap finds himself in a show of bravado with Howard and facing renewed affections from his ex-wife, Trudy. Will it turn out she's been withholding the real location of the river? Erik is thrilled to see James Purefoy in a series, but is unsure about the episode as a discrete segment of story. The rest of the cast, which includes Michael Kenneth Williams as Leonard, Christina Hendricks as Trudy, and an almost unrecognizable Neil Sandilands as one of Howard's goons are also welcome even as the plot flounders. Howard's actor, however, ends up being the one Erik and Justin want to recast. Justin tries to recall if he finished Hap and Leonard's first season. Erik's opinion of Ahsoka slides a little bit. A wild Jimmi Simpson appears and the pair debate whether or not connective tissue episodes work.

This week on Fabulous Film and Friends we are pointing our compasses southward to the land of doom and gloom:Australia! Don't be fooled by the likes of Paul Hogan, Yahoo Serious and Thor, underneath that loopy, whimsical Australian charm, lies an unparalleled grim and sober yet prophetic outlook about life on Earth as evidenced by 1971's Walkabout directed by Nicholas Roeg, though full disclosure: he's an Englishman who shepherded Jenny Agutter, Luc Roeg, David Gulpilil and John Meillion to cinematic prominence, then 1982's The Road Warrior aka Mad Max 2 directed by George Miller and starring Mel Gibson, Bruce Spence, Kjell Nillson, Max Phipps, Vernon Wells, Mike Preston, Arkie Whitely, Viginia Hey and Emil Minty then topped off with The Road directed by Australian native John Hillcoat and starring Viggo Mortenson, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Charlize Theron, Garrett Dillahunt, the late Michael Kenneth Williams, Guy Pearce  and Robert Duvall.  My guests today are once again the series regulars who have both the stomach and gloomy disposition to take solace in rewatching these films back-to-back-to-back, Roseanne Caputi and Alex Robertson.Okay before we go on a walkabout of our own, the synopses: In Walkabout, a perfectly ordinary pair of upper-class English siblings get lost in the Australian outback after their father takes them for a picnic then tries to murder them. They look to be perfect candidates for either heat stroke and/or vulture food until they are rescued by a young Aboriginal teen out on his Walkabout.  The Road Warrior/Mad Max 2  raises the stakes of the original Mad Max and picks up the story with ex cop Max Rockatansky travelling the barren, hellish, post-apocalyptic highways and stumbling upon an evil road gang led by a brute named Lord Humungus. Humungus is hellbent on invading a compound belonging to a group of  civilized and intelligent settlers who have built an oasis around the last of the oil wells and have running lights and supplies. Losing numbers and their morale under the constant attacks of Humungus, the settlers hatch a plan to escape the vermin on wheels and flee to the coast with their oil in tow. With the help of Max and a pilot called the Gyro Captain, the settlers are given a slim chance to survive.  In The Road a Man risks all to protect his Boy and teach him survival skills in another bleak and nightmarish future where all plant and animal life is gone and the dominant humans subsist through murder and cannibalism.    Which film is king of the outback/queen of the end times?Find out!

This is our last Re-Release and it is quite the goodie. We are so excited to finally have the chance to dip our toes into the pool of Nightmare on Elm Street sequels and no better place to start than with Part 4 The Dream Master. We talked broke down all the iconic kills, Freddy's one-liners, how they get rid of the dream warriors pretty quick, Alice's amazing character transformation, and of course the karate fight involving "invisible" Freddy. We couldn't discuss a horror legend with just the two of us, so we are joined by Amy Koto to help break it down. This is the only Purge movie I have seen in the series and man it had an awesome cast. Frank Grillo, Carmen Elojo, and the late Michael Kenneth Williams. It wasn't what I was expecting and loved it. For it, I chatted with Actor Jasper Cole. Jasper has been an actor for years and is now the go-to bad guy that you have seen in "MacGruber" and so much more. Jasper was a sketch performer for The Tonight Show w/ Jay Leno, was in Jason Takes Manhattan, and has had guest spots on classics like "Married w/ Children", "Everybody Hates Chris", and more. Welcome to OTTplay Lost and Found podcast, I'm your host Nikhil with you. In today's episode, we take a look at the 2007 neo-noir crime thriller film, Gone Baby Gone. Ben Affleck, popular for essaying the role of Batman, co-writing Good Will Hunting, and directing the Oscar-winning film Argo, has most certainly established himself as an accomplished actor and filmmaker. But one of his lesser-known films, is in fact his directorial debut, Gone Baby  Gone. Based on a novel by Dennis Lehane, the film follows private investigators from Boston, Patrick Kenzie, played by Casey Affleck, and Angela Gennaro played by Michelle Monaghan. They are hired to investigate the kidnapping of a little girl named Amanda, a case that has become a  media frenzy. They soon discover that Amanda's mother, Helene, played by Amy Ryan, is a drug addict and mule for a drug lord. To make matters worse, it is revealed that Helene had stolen money from the drug smugglers and that Amanda is used as leverage so that Helene returns the money. But the film's twists and turns do not end there. The film's protagonists, Patrick and Angela, stumble on to a larger conspiracy behind the kidnapping. The provocative narrative compels the audience to identify the true meaning of justice and also opens a discourse on legality versus morality. The film is grounded in realism and is one of the most thought-provoking films of the 21st century.Ben Affleck received praise for his writing as well directing, while his brother Casey was also lauded for navigating through the complexities of his lead character. The film also stars Morgan Freeman and Ed Harris in pivotal roles, with John Ashton, Titus Welliver, and Michael Kenneth Williams in supporting roles. If you haven't watched this flick yet then do so its streaming on Netflix.Well that's the OTTplay Lost and Found episode for today, until the next podcast it's your host Nikhil signing out. Aaj kya dekhoge OTTplay se poochoWritten by: Ryan Gomez

Career Q&A with Michael K. Williams. Moderated by Jim Halterman, TV Guide Magazine. Michael Kenneth Williams is one of this generation's most respected and acclaimed actors. By bringing complicated and charismatic characters to life - often with surprising tenderness - Williams has established himself as a gifted and versatile performer with a unique ability to mesmerize audiences. Williams is best known for his remarkable work on The Wire, which ran for five seasons on HBO. The wit and humor that Williams brought to Omar - the whistle-happy, profanity-averse, drug dealer-robbing stickup man - earned him high praise and made Omar one of television's most memorable characters. Williams co-starred in HBO's critically acclaimed series Boardwalk Empire. In the Martin Scorsese- and Terence Winter-produced show, Williams played Chalky White, a 1920s bootlegger and impeccably suited veritable mayor of Atlantic City's African-American community. In 2012, Boardwalk Empire won a Screen Actors Guild Award® for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series. Giving back to the community plays an important role in Williams's off-camera life. He is working to launch Making Kids Win, a charitable organization whose primary objective is to build community centers in urban neighborhoods that are in need of safe spaces for children to learn and play. Michael currently serves as the ACLU's ambassador of Smart Justice. Williams also executive produces and serves as the investigative journalist for Black Market, a documentary program that exposes and comments on illegal markets throughout the world with a focus on the people involved and connecting with them on a human level. Black Market is a flagship show for Vice's newly launched network VICELAND.

This is a sad story about the death of a Beloved man. l regret to report that the Great Actor, Michael Kenneth Williams, passed away today at home in New York at age 54 of unknown causes. Speculation on the cause of death given by the NYPD and in the media or rumors point to drug overdose. Discretion is advised. May not be suitable for some audiences. Graphic details of how he was found dead by a family member and the alledged struggles in his life with chemical substances are presented. Discussion of the issues around drug dependency and other conjecture can be hard to hear at this time after loosing this Beloved man. There are strong opinions expressed by a reporter. Profanity is used by the reporter. Possibly due to the shock and sudden death of this beautiful person, Michael K. Williams. The opinions expressed by the reporter about drug dependence are his alone and do not reflect my views. Genuine grief and pain in this situation is totally understandable. The numerous lives lost to drug overdoses are tragically too frequent. The painful and shocking sudden losses continue unabated. Once more, we sadly witness the heartbreaking loss of the Magnificent Actor, Michael K. Williams. I salute the handsome, generous and kind Michael Kenneth Williams. Rest in Power Michael K.
