The guys are back and breaking down the good and the bad in the NFL in Week 2. Did any teams jump out and surprise or was everything predictable? We can tell you there was at least one fan hoping for a shock on Monday night, but unfortunately, even God couldn't give him that.

The guys are back this week and kick things off with Olympic coverage. The main topic being all the love and hate surrounding what's happening with Simone Biles. Greg and Paul both give their thoughts on what has occurred with her and the need for athletes and their mental health to be taken seriously. They also touch on some of the first time gold medals won by Americans in different events. Next, it's all about A-A-RON!! Rodgers makes his return to Green Bay and gives a brutally honest press conference that let's the fans and league know just exactly his thoughts on the off season were. The guys give their thoughts on his comments and what they expect from the reigning league MVP. Finally, the MLB Trade deadline is looked at and what deals may be made and have already been made. Last, the BIG 12 may no longer be with Oklahoma and Texas looking to move out of it and onto bigger and better things in the SEC. Check it all out! Until next time. IT'S DRAFT WEEKEND!!!! The NFL draft is here and the guys talk about the top picks and how the 49ers pick particularly could shift how the rest of the draft unfolds. Plus how does the Broncos trade to acquire Teddy Bridgewater change things? Will the Patriots trade up? Will the Eagles blow it? All that and more! Next it's MLB talk. The biggest story being the famed “Dodger Dog” will no longer be made by Farmer John. Will the taste ever be the same? The guys also talk how an Independent league is bringing the HR Derby to tiebreakers. Can it work? Oh, and Madison Bumgarners No-Hitter, was it or real or not? Then the show wraps up with Conor McGregor and his “Live Ya Life” lifestyle and a quick Kentucky Derby look. That wraps it up until next time. As always don't forget to like and subscribe to us and ALL the great shows at 12oz Sports!
The guys start everything off less awkward than the Golden Globes so it's a step in the right direction! Tiger and his tribute was the first part of the show. Was it a good tribute by players? Did it feel almost morbid? Besides the Tiger tribute, his little black box was requested by the Sheriffs office to make sure of no wrong doing. Will anything turn up? Next, it's some Boston sports talk. The Red Sox were the first to use a new Spring Training Mercy Rule. Does the rule make sense? Then onto the hardwood where the Boston Celtics can't seem to figure things out. Should they make a move? Will it solve any of their issues? The guys then talk about the ASG in Atlanta and how the 3 point contest big star studded lineup shines an even brighter light on how much of a dud the Dunk contest has become. Finally, some NFL talk with the shocking news of JJ Watt signing with the Cardinls. Did he do it all for the money? Are we all sleeping on the Cardinals SB contention possibilities? Plus a few players who've been cut and how they should be looked at by Belichick and the Patriots, but probably will not be, because well Belichick. That wraps it up until next time. As always don't forget to like and subscribe to us and ALL the great shows at 12oz Sports!
The guys start the show off with a crash, literally, the Tiger Woods car crash. What we know so far and how do we think it plays into the rest of Tigers career. Does he have a career anymore? If he comes back, can he win? We break it all down. Then it's onto What Not To Say As A CEO in MLB starring Kevin Mather. Greg and Paul don't want to waste much breath on him, but talk about how he couldn't be removed quick enough. Nowadays you need to be open to anything and everything and clearly Kevin was not. Next, it's the NBA All Star Game. Who got snubbed is always the discussion and the guys give a few picks to who they feel were shunned. They also give thoughts on wether or not the game should even be played at all. Finally the show wraps up talking about the Carson Wentz trade, but more importantly the fact that Michael Pittman Jr. told Wentz that “Nah, he can't have No.11” was this the right move? Plus, what number would Greg and Paul wear as professionals. That wraps it up until next time. As always don't forget to like and subscribe to us and ALL the great shows at 12oz Sports!
The guys get right into NFL news, that's right the season is over and the off season hasn't really started, but there's plenty to discuss. The first being the Carson Wentz drama continues. At this point the guys the agree the Eagles either have to sh*t or get off the pot. Besides the QB news in Philly, it seems like the QB situation in all of Pennsylvania is undecided as the GM for the Steelers doesn't seem as ready to commit to Big Ben as Big Ben is committed to the Steelers. Last is where will JJ Watt end up now that he is going to be released from the Texans? Our picks will NOT shock you! Next it's some NBA talk with Anthony Davis going down with a sprained achilles what does that mean for the Lakers repeat chances? Can a 36 year old LeBron keep the boat afloat in LA for about a month by himself? They guys also take a look at the weird situations in Cleveland and Detroit and both teams deciding to not play Blake Griffin and Andre Drummond until they can be moved. After that some quick NHL talk about how distracting the Golden Knights Golden Shiny Helmets are. Then last, but not least it's time for MLB high heat talking. Pitchers and Catchers have reported and the guys get into wether or not the one advantage MLB has over all other sports is the fact that Spring Training is such a draw for crowds. That wraps it up until next time. As always don't forget to like and subscribe to us and ALL the great shows at 12oz Sports!
The Big Game came and went, but we were all left feeling a bit unsatisfied. The guys kick off the show talking about Mahomes and how the Bucs D did not let him or the Chiefs offense get anything going. Mahomes was running for his life, but still tried to make magic. Then Greg and Paul discuss the celebration of 7 titles of Tom. He let himself have a good time. He threw the Lombardi trophy around (literally) and may have cheated on his TB12 diet just a little. After all the talk of Bucs and Chiefs, Greg gives a quick rant on all the Carson Wentz chatter. Next it's NBA MVPs. Paul gives his top 3 obvious choices for the award, but Greg decides to give 3 dark horses who are clearly the most valuable to their teams and could be rewarded for that. Finally, What is The Most Heartbreaking Moment as a fan? Greg posed the question into the Twitter world and got plenty of responses. The guys go over their own personal heartbreak as a fan and talk about some of the entries they received. Don't forget to like and subscribe to us and ALL the great shows at 12oz Sports!
It's time to discuss the big game, the Super Bowl, BUT first the guys have to talk the Stafford/Goff trade. Who was the winner? How can the Rams keep mortgaging their future? Was Goff a gaff? Then it's onto THE game. Brady v. Mahomes. Chiefs v. Bucs. Greg and Paul talk all about it. Who wins? Final score? MVP? Whose the game bigger for, Brady or Mahomes? We even get in on prop bets that you can make at MyBookie! Anything from the National Anthem length to color of Gatorade poured on the winning coaches head. Next the guys talk LeBron and the bleacher Karen who trashed her way all the way into social media joke. After they discuss the fact that Zdeno Charas hockey sticks ended up in NJ at a random persons house. How could this happen? Last, it's onto the MLB where the Nolan Arenado traded sparks the discussion of, do all these blockbuster trades hurt the game more then help it? This is followed by Greg and Paul reminiscing about Dustin Pedroia and his retirement. As Red Sox fans. Greg ends the show with a special clip of when he got to announce one of Pedroias at bats.
Greg and Paul got a lot to say this week and Greg is especially ready to go off on a rant about the baseball HOF vote. First though, it's time to recap the AFC/NFC Championship games, what Aaron Rodgers said after, and give some early thoughts on the Super Bowl featuring the young G.O.A.T Patrick Mahomes v. The G.O.A.T Tom Brady. Next up, a fastball of takes from Greg who is disgusted with what the voters did with the Hall of Fame vote in baseball. Paul let's Greg take the plate and swing on all the high and mighty baseball writers who think they're judge and jury. Some uplifting news follows the rant, Caris Levert who was apart of the James Harden trade found out during his physical he had kidney cancer. Luckily, the news just came in that he had successful surgery and is cancer free. Finally, some NWHL v. Barstool talk. What was the drama? Who was in the wrong? Should both sides have just said nothing and moved on? Oh, and if you could master one carnival game, what would it be? Don't forget to like and subscribe to us and ALL the great shows at 12oz Sports!
The guys jump into retirement, no not their own, but the end of two stellar careers in the football world. Drew Brees is assumed to be retiring and Philip Rivers announced his retirement as well. Two great QBs. We talk there legacies. Then it is onto the conference championship games. Does Tommy still have it? Can Rodgers dethrone the great one? Will Mahomes be 100%? A lot to unpack, but Paul and Greg discuss and give their locks for Championship Sunday with two tickets to the Super Bowl waiting to be punched! Next, the “Where in time is Kyrie Irving?” Saga has been solved. The guys discuss where he has been and what him returning to the Nets means. Plus, how bad is the Covid situation in the NBA? What can they do? The guys also take a look at the NHLs Covid situation and how bad it is. Finally, the team to make a big splash this week in the MLB was the Toronto Blue Jays. They signed George Springer for a hefty price tag. Was he worth it? As always don't forget to like and subscribe to us and to check out ALL the great shows on 12 oz Sports!
Greg and Paul are here with the last stance on the Wild Card Weekend games before heading into the Division round. We breakdown the games including if Goff and his surgically repaired thumb can withstand the Lambeau cold, Can Lamar play in the snow, and will Brady or Brees turn to dust? Plus our locks for the Division Rd sponsored by My Bookie! Then it's onto the NBA. Covid has become a better passer than John Stockton around the league. Do they have to halt play? Is the bubble the only answer? Then it's onto Where's Kyrie? Is he hiding? Retiring? No one knows, but Paul and Greg give their thoughts on the weird situation. Finally the huge trade in the NBA. James "Twinkie Stuffed" Harden has been dealt to the Nets. Is it to fill the Kyrie hole? Will the trio of Harden, Durant, and Irving work? We discuss. Last, but not least, Sports New Years Resolutions! The guys give their resolutions of what they can improve on sports fan wise moving forward. Like and subscribe to us as 12oz sports and check all the other great shows out!
New year, same show!! The guys breakdown the Eagles and their integrity along with the best vacant HC job in the NFL. They then break into Wild Card weekend and give their picks for who wins, plus a lock for the weekend games. Paul and Greg finish off their NFL talk by giving their Super Bowl prediction. Next, it's all about the CFP matchup between Alabama and Ohio State. Who wins? Is the game pushed due to Covid? Finally, the guys talk about the NBA and KD being quarantined and finish with the last question of the show which is: What climate is a bigger advantage: Cold/Snow or Heat/Humidity? As always make sure to like and subscribe and check out all the great shows on 12oz sports!

The guys are back this week after a one week hiatus due to Paul being on the IR. They start off talking about their respective teams and what they future may hold. The Patriots are all but eliminated from the playoff picture. Should they finally let Stidham start a few games and see if he's worth a shot going forward? Similarly in Philly the Eagles benched Carson Wentz for Jalen Hurts and he comes into beat the Saints. Is Jalen the future, and if so, what happens to Wentz? Next the guys discuss their “Must Watch and Locks” for Week 15 of the NFL season. Besides that there's a little bit of friendly trash talk as Paul and Greg face each other in the semi-finals for their fantasy football league. Then it is onto the MLB. The Cleveland Indians will be no more, the guys try and come up with a few names for the team to consider. After it is onto the NBA, and James Harden is living LARGE!! He packed on the pounds over the small NBA off-season, the guys discuss. They also take a look at Giannis super max deal and what it means to a small market like Milwaukee. The final NBA point focuses on the good heart of Larry Nance Jr. who is helping the small business community in Cleveland, one game at a time. Last, Paul and Greg give their must watch Christmas movies of the week! As always make sure to like and subscribe and check out all the great shows on 12oz sports!
The guys have gotten past their post turkey naps and are onto the newest stories in the sports world. They kick things off recapping week 12 and the Turkey day games along with some of the impressive feats that were accomplished. They cap it off with Steelers/Ravens talk after some Wednesday afternoon football, before heading into their Must Watch and Locks for Week 13. Next, it is onto some college football talk. Ohio State is potentially on the verge of being left out of the College Football Playoffs. It's not because they aren't talented or lost a game, no, they may not play enough games. Covid is hitting hard. The guys discuss if they think Ohio St gets an exception from the committee and if Michigan is going to press for player safety amidst their covid outbreak which could be the straw that breaks Ohio States playoff backs. Finally, the guys round up the show discussing LeBrons extension and if it's his last one and the disgrace of the NHL owners and league trying to go back into the CBA that was signed in July to restructure financials. As always make sure to like and subscribe and check out all the great shows on 12oz sports!
Fore on the green!! That's the lead Dustin Johnson had going into the final round of The Masters and he finished one better beating the field by 5 strokes. Greg and Paul breakdown their picks performances and how Tiger showed he's just like us average golfers…..sometimes. Plus as a bonus we predict what DJ will choose as his champions dinner in a few months back at Augusta. Next, it's onto the NFL. The guys get into the Must Watch, Don't Watch, and Locks from Week 10 of the NFL season before giving their picks for Week 11. The Week 10s had a bunch of up and downs with the Patriots v. Ravens ending up being a torrential must watch and the Bengals not keeping it close in anyway against the Steelers who look like a team on a mission. The Week 11 picks come in ready to go with surprise Must Watches and Locks that are sure to hit! Finally the guys take a swing and shot at the MLB and NBA. First, Theo Epstein has stepped down as the President of Baseball Operations for the Cubs. Why? What's his future look like? Then, the Baseball Hall of Fame nominees came out. Who should get in from the group of Clemens, Bonds, Manny, and Schilling. These are guys that have been on the list for several years now, and how steroids have affected them getting in. Greg gives his thought on the whole situation and tries to change Pauls views. Last, James Harden is passing on earning $50 million annually for a shot to try and get traded to the Brooklyn Nets and chase a ring. He clearly sees no shot in Houston, but should he really give up the money? As always make sure to like and subscribe and check out all the great shows on 12oz sports!
The show starts off with a most obvious topic, the Champions dinner served at Augusta in honor of Tiger Woods, last years green jacket winner. Greg and Paul take their sports food news very seriously, and then give their own choices for when they win the green jacket in their dreams. They then move onto the main part of The Masters, which is the actual golf aspect. Paul and Greg give their thoughts on who may win. Will Tiger repeat? Will the oddball Bryce DeChambeau work his way to the top? All that and some talk about the crazy Jon Rahm hole in one. Next, it's onto the NFL. We start off with a heartwarming story out of Buffalo. While Josh Allens Grandmother passed away over the weekend, Bills Mafia stepped up to show their love and support in a very generous way, we talk about it. Then the guys get into the Must Watch, Don't Watch, and Locks from Week 9 of the NFL season before giving their picks for Week 10. Greg is very happy to recap week 9s “Don't Watch” , but knows overall that his support of an NFC East team is still laughable. Finally the guys take a swing at the MLB. Red Sox fans rejoice with the news of Alex Cora returning, how do the two hosts who are Sox fans really feel about it? Are the Mets about to overtake the Yankee as NYs team with Steve Cohen at the helm? Should Tony “I'm a Hall of Famer Baseball Person” La Russa still be allowed to manage the White Sox? All that and more! As always make sure to like and subscribe and check out all the great shows on 12oz sports!
The guys get into the NFL and get started with the overly boring trade deadline that saw no major moves happen in the league. Should any team have made a big splash? Why were the Patriots not sellers? We take a look at Bill Belichick and his latest comments where he opens up about why his team may be struggling. That's right, the great Bill seems to be making excuses after Tom left town. Then it's onto the guys Must Watch, Don't Watch, and Locks for Week 9 of the NFL season. Greg is very happy to recap week 8s lock, but knows overall that his support of an NFC East team is still laughable. Finally, the guys go around a few of the other leagues to touch on a few things such as MLBs possible idea of a neutral site World Series, and Jon Lesters buying a round for all of Chi-town. They also talk about the start to the NBA season and the financial loss at stake if it doesn't start before Christmas. As always make sure to like and subscribe and check out all the great shows on 12oz sports!
The MLB season ended with a Champion and a controversy. The Dodgers came out on top winning the World Series for the first time since 1988, but the bigger story was Justin Turners Covid-19 positive test that had him removed in the 8th inning of game 6. He returned to the field once the game ended. Should he have? Does it being a once in a lifetime moment make a difference? Greg and Paul discuss the series and the sickness. Speaking of being sick, a DFS player thought he won $1 million dollars only to have a stat correction cost him $997,000 of it. How would you react? Should the DFS company be to blame? Next, the NFL season is in full swing and some former big name WRs are making a comeback. Does Antonio Brown keep his cool in Tampa? Will Dez Bryant make his way back from the practice squad? All that and more heading into this weeks “Must Watch, Don't Watch, and Lock It In” for Week 8 of the season. Last, some NBA news with the Jazz being reportedly sold for 1.66 Billion dollars and Danny Green referencing the fact that veterans like LeBron James may take the first month of the season off. If vets make this move, how will they be viewed? Does LeBron get a pass?
The World is focused on baseball…..at least for now. Greg and Paul start off this weeks show talking about the World Series between the Dodgers and Rays. Who wins it all? What player steps it up to take home World Series MVP? The guys answer it all. Then it's time for some NFL talk. Tua time has arrived in Miami, but why? Is it the right move? Greg and Paul also discuss the “Disarray in Dallas”. Things are not going well for Americas so called team. Can it be fixe? Greg sure hopes not. After it's onto the “Must Watch, Don't Watch, and Lock It In” for Week 7 of the NFL. Paul and Greg both feel good about their locks this week. Hopefully one hits and you're using 12OZSPORTS promo code for MYBookie. Finally, some talk about The Match 3. It was announced that Phil and Peyton would be back, but this time no Tiger or Tom. Instead, Steph Curry and Charles Barkley will be pairing in for the golf round. Are we watching? What could Tiger have to do? All that and more in this weeks episode. Make sure to like and subscribe and follow 12 oz sports!
This week Greg and Paul are kicking off the show with the end results of the NBA Finals. The Lakers took home the bubble title and the guys detail what they thought of the series. Greg also drags Paul into a LeBron v. MJ debate, but both are on the side of LeBron as the all around better player with a better career. Then it's time for some NFL talk and lately that means Covid conversations. The guys talk about the Titans, Patriots, and now Falcons who have had to deal with positive tests. What can the league do and how did the Broncos get the short end of the stick in all of it? After it's onto the “Must Watch, Don't Watch, and Lock It In” for Week 6 of the NFL. Paul and Greg both try to rebound with their locks this week. Hopefully one hits. Finally, some MLB playoff talk. The ALCS and NLCS are going on and Pauls top picks to reach the World Series are still alive. Who do we think advances and why it's not the Astros. All that and more in this weeks episode. Make sure to like and subscribe and follow 12 oz sports!
Paul and Greg are back and hit the ground running. As we know Titans were the first team to deal with Covid positive players. Now, other players and teams have been impacted as well such as Cam Newton and Stephon Gilmore. The can the season continue? We discuss our thoughts on it. Then we move onto our “Must Watch, Don't Watch, and Lock It In” for Week 5 of the NFL. Paul is riding a hot streak for his locks so you wan't to make sure you listen to his advice. Next, they talk about the NBA Finals and the fact that it seems to be a forgone conclusion that the Lakers will be taking home the championship by Friday night. Paul thinks that Anthony formerly known as AD has stepped up for the Lakers. Greg thinks the Lakers come away with it and goes on a bit of rant about the reaction people have had about LeBron and the legitimacy of this bubble title. Finally, some MLB playoff talk. The guys both give their division winner predictions. They even discuss what would happen if in a cruel MLB world that the Yankees and Astros meet with a World Series berth on the line. All that and more….. Make sure to like and subscribe and follow 12 oz sports!
Paul and Greg are at it this week with lots to talk about. They get the final words about the NHL season when discussing the Lightnings Stanley Cup title. After drudging on about that for a few moments they get into the big story of the week. The Titans have become the first team to deal with Covid positive players. How will the league handle it? Can the season continue? We discuss our thoughts on it. Then we move onto our “Must Watch, Don't Watch, and Lock It In” for Week 3 of the NFL. We talk a little fantasy football and about how bad the Eagles are in tying the Bengals before moving on. Next, they make their NBA Finals predictions. Paul assumes that Anthony formerly known as AD will step up for the Lakers. Greg thinks it will be a decent series that at leasts last 6 games. Who they choose though? You'll have to listen. Finally, some MLB playoff talk. The guys both give their World Series finalists and winner predictions. The biggest surprise about it all? Both of their picks come from the same League and Division, BUT they aren't the same team. Make sure to like and subscribe and follow 12 oz sports!
Paul and Greg are at it this week with lots to talk about. They get right into the NFL and go over the weeks “Must Watch, Can't Watch, and Lock It In” for Week 3. After they show off their new segment, “In Your Fantasy”. The guys talk about their biggest Fantasy Football performers of the week, and who they think will break out in Week 3. Next it's the NBA. The Nuggets look for signs of life in their series against the Lakers. Does LeBron have to play even better than he has so far in this series? In the Heat/Celtics series, Paul still thinks the Celtics take the series 7 games. Can the Heat keep playing catch up and winning games? Plus they take a look at the NBA season being pushed to 2021. After that, Greg and Paul talk some MLB standings and surprises, the Stanley Cup playoffs have ACTUALLY begun, and Notre Dame has got the Covid. Finally, Greg talks about the potential bets with Mike from Craft Brewed Sports in a battle of the losers, when the Eagles and Bengals square off in week 3 after both starting 0-2. Don't forget to like and subscribe to us and 12 oz sports!
There almost wasn't a show this week, but Greg made sure to find the time. Things start off talking about the NBA Playoffs and the laughable fact that the Clippers blew a 3-1 lead to the Nuggets even when holding huge leads. Oh, and the fact that Kawhi Leonard was suppose to arguably be the best player in the league and disappeared in the spotlight. Then Greg wrangles Paul for a few minutes to discuss the Celtics/Heat series. Both agree that the Heat are talented, but Greg views them as a series threat to the Lakers title chances. Meanwhile, Paul hopes to see the Celtics turn it around, but is not so hopeful. Then It's onto the NFL, Greg and Paul discuss Brady and Cams debuts. Plus a few happenings around the league. Greg talks some Thursday night football and brings back his “Must Watch, Don't Watch, and Lock It Ins” for the week. Finally, some Stanley Cup Finals and MLB talk to round out the show. Make sure to Like and Subscribe to the show and the 12oz Sports Network
Greg and Paul are keeping it short this week. It's Gregs birthday and he wanted to make sure he at least got a few takes in before heading off to celebrate. The guys first talk NBA Playoffs. The Heat are trouncing the Bucks, the Rockets speeded up against the Lakers, and Kawhi looked like a normal New Balance Dad for a game (by his standards). Next it's another round of “BS with Hockey” where it's not a segment, just the truth. Paul and Greg give their conference finals predictions for who will reach Lord Stanley Cups Finals. Finally, we talk a little Kentucky Derby and how much horses make for being studs before going into predicting 3 games for the NFL as it's season starts on Thursday. That's all though, make sure to like and subscribe and check out all the great shows at 12 oz Sports!
Paul and Greg are back at this week talking about a move that shook the sports world globally….and no it wasn't the NBAs protest. Lionel Messi the soccer God of Barcelona has requested to leave the team. The guys discuss what it means and how Greg was completely roasted on Twitter for a simple comparison. Next the guys get heavy with the NBA protests because of social injustice. It's a deep conversation, but one that has to be had. After, they do cover the NBA playoffs and make a prediction for the Raptors and Celtics series. Then it is time for “BS the NHL” not a segment, just the truth. The guys aren't hockey experts and they don't try to hide it. They give their 2 cents on the playoffs and just how bad the Bruins were spanked by the Lightning. Next, some MLB talk about east coast baseball with the Red Sox and Yankees both stinking up the AL East for two different reason. Oh, and the Mets may finally be sold to none other then Steven Cohen again. Last, the guys discuss how to get free Bud Light, sadly it means sacrificing your fantasy football team. Is it worth it? Check it out and all of 12oz sports. Like and Subscribe!
Greg and Paul are together and socially distancing for their latest show. The guys dive right into the NBA playoffs and talk about how Luka Doncic is the guy that makes the Mavs go, Lakers and Bucks bouncing back as 1 seeds, and more... Next, it's time for that hockey talk. Paul and Greg admittedly aren't hockey guys, BUT that doesn't stop them from predicting the winners for the second round of Lord Stanley Cups Playoffs. After, it's time for some NFL talk. We discuss the Earl Thomas release from the Raven and how much of a pain he must be to do let go of a talented player. They also discuss the large number of false positive Covid tests coming from a NJ Lab and how that could impact the season. Finally, some MLB talk, but not the normal kind. Greg and Paul discuss Mike Trouts rookie card going for a record number, plus the Padres grand slammin everywhere and not caring about the "Unwritten Rules" of baseball. Oh, and this weeks" OH NO BABY WHAT IS YOU DOIN" goes to two announcers who made some verbal blunders. Don't forget to like and subscribe!
Greg is riding solo this week and gets things started by getting into Tuukka Rask taking a piece of Bruins fans hearts and opting out of the bubble. Besides that he talks a bit about the other series in the playoffs so far. Then it's onto the NBA Bubble, where the Suns got jipped. You can't convince me otherwise. They deserved a spot in the play in game, but we also as fans deserved a potential chance at the Dame v. Booker matchup for bubble MVP. The main point is Skip Bayless is going after Dame and I break it down. Then it's some MLB talk and college football conversation about seasons happening or not. Finally, the NFL gets the “Oh No Baby What Is You Doing?” This week. Specifically one now former Seahawks rookie. Check it out and all of 12oz sports. Like and Subscribe!
Paul and Greg did the show in person (socially distant). The guys are hanging out and talking about all the sports. Starting off with a “Would You Rather” of the different fan situations for the sports. Would you rather have the digital fans of the NBA, the cardboard cutouts in the MLB, or just tarps on the NHL. Next it's a lot of football talk. Both college and the NFL and how they can even have a season. Players are uniting or opting out and it makes the idea of a season seem bleaker. Plus, rumor has it that the Power 5 may in fact cancel the fall season now that the MAC has made the first domino fall. What may happen? After that, Greg and Paul discuss the MLB season and its up and downs, the NHLs playoffs with the top teams faltering in round robin play, and finally the dumb down argument Skip Bayless makes about LeBron James. Finally some PGA talk. Don't forget to like and subscribe to us and 12oz Sports!
We are back from baby hiatus. Greg was off with his wife last week welcoming their newborn daughter, but this week he is back and ready to break it ALL down with Paul. They start off with the disaster that is the Marlins and their Covid outbreak that has threatened the MLB season. We should really just blame Derek Jeter for all of this. Besides that the MLB isn't off just yet, they also decided to suspend Joe Kelly 8 games for trash talking and throwing above some Astros heads. It seems like an overreaction, because it is. Next, players are opting out of the upcoming NFL season left and right. Will big name players opt out before the deadline? What does it mean for the season? Finally we talk some NBA. It has returned officially and that means we have to talk about Lou Williams chicken run to Magic City and JR Smiths underwear issue. We end it all with a “Would You Rather” of what bubble life would we prefer, the NBA or NHL? As always don't forget to like and subscribe and check out all the great shows at 12oz sports
The guys are back this week and Paul is feeling feisty. Things get heated right from the beginning with the rumors surrounding the NFL team in Washington. What speculations have been made? Do we think any are true? Next it's off to Hollywood aka Foxboro where it seems that to be a QB in New England you must have a documentary or podcast about you. Greg gives Paul a good ribbing about the whole situation, and it leads to some more when it is discovered that Bill Belichick has made a Subway commercial. Players in the NBA Bubble seem to be having a good time, but Paul wonders if that's a good thing or not. Greg embraces the players having some fun in a new and odd situation. Next, A-Rod tries suggesting players consider a salary cap for the MLB. The guys talks about why this is foolish. Last, some uplifting stuff where the guys talk about the 6 year old hero little boy who stepped up and protected his sister from a dog attack. Even Chris Evans made a video for the young man to commend him on his bravery. As always don't forget to like and subscribe!
Paul and Greg fought through technical difficulties to bring you a shortened, but still fantastic show this week. The guys start off talking about all the money Mahomes will be swimming in over the next 12 years. Did he deserve it? Will he win multiple Super Bowls? The answer is yes, but we still discuss it. The NFL gets this weeks “Oh No Baby What Is You Doin?” Award for their stance on players swapping jerseys. College sports may be confined into smaller fields or may not take place at all. How should college sports proceed? Last, the guys talk about the Covid testing results in the MLB and if we would be willing to pay big bucks to sit on the apartment stands outside of Wrigley this year. Don't forget to like and subscribe!!
It's Americas birthday…..almost. Greg and Paul get into of all things, HOCKEY. The NHL has narrowed their decision down to two hub cities. Edmonton and Toronto seem to be the choices for the Stanley Cup playoffs. The guys discuss the decision and how the pandemic took the US choice of Vegas out of the running. Next, they discuss the NFL's choice to narrow the pre-season down to two games. What effect will it have on roster decision or veteran players on new teams? Speaking of new teams, Cam Newton joins a new one and it's the Patriots. How does Cam fit in? Is it a smart move by Bill? After that, it's all 4th of July! Greg and Paul talk Nathans hot dog contest. Who wins? How many dogs? In a Start, Bench, Cut who reigns between 4th of July staples, Burgers, Hot Dogs, and Pulled Pork? Finally, a game designer back in 1993 placed a glitch in NBA Jam to help his beloved Pistons against the Bulls. Was it worth it? Is he just a big fan nerd? All that and plenty of laughs. The guys jump into MLB talk with the announcement of a season finally being solidified. They take a look at the shortened season, its temporary rules, and even get a guest appearance by Joe Lonergan to talk about the extra innings change. After, the guys head down the NASCAR road and into the Bubba Wallace situation. It's a heavy topic, but one that needs to be discussed. Next, the PGA has had a lot of positive cases of Covid among golfers and caddies. Should the tour stop and reset before moving forward? Should stricter rules be put into place? The guys then quickly discuss if the NBA bubble will work as they along with the NHL also have had a large number of positive cases. Last, Greg and Paul have a Start, Bench, Cut that is on the lighter side of things, Frozen summer drinks, where they decide where Daiquris, Pina Coladas, and Frozen Margaritas fall. Check it out, give us your stance and don't forget to like and subscribe!
Greg starts off the show solo and tackles the latest comments from The President, Roger Goodell, and Anthony Lynn in terms of Colin Kaepernick. The thoughts on Kap and a potential return to the NFL has changed significantly in wake of the George Floyd protets. Greg gives his take on it all. Paul then joins the show and the guys discuss the Madden Curse. Is it real or just a coincidence? The MLB gets this weeks "Oh No Baby, What is You Doin?" award because....well do we really have to explain? Then it's time for bubble talk, NBA bubble talk and what that will look like for the players who enter. It sounds like heaven on earth, but would either be willing to live there for a year secluded from friends and family for $10 million? HOT DOGS UP! Nathans will hold it's July 4th Hot Dog with a shrunken field and no spectators. Thoughts on the contest and how many dogs Greg and Paul think they could eat in 10 minutes. Last, the guys talk NHL. Have we all forgotten it's coming back? Seems like it. That's all, check it out and all the other great shows at 12oz Sports! Like and Subscribe.
Greg and Paul get into this week by kicking things off with the first ever "Oh No Baby, What is You Doin" of the week. It goes to Drew Brees and his misguided words regarding the current protests and potential future kneeling of players in the NFL. It is the serious part of the show, but a part that needed to be discussed. Afterwards the guys discuss the fact the XFL is going to the bidders. Who should take a chance on a league that has already closed up shop twice? Will the third time Bezos the charm? Speaking of shutting down, the MLB may shut down before even getting a season started. The players and owners can't seem to settle on anything games or money. Will this hurt the game more than the strike in 1994? We give our thoughts A league that doesn't seem to have a problem getting its act together is the NBA. They have in place a 22 team set up to finish the season and start the playoffs. Paul and I give our thoughts on the idea and how it could work if injured players return such as Kevin Durant return for a playoff run. Last a quick Would You Rather involving game winners. Check it all out and don't forget to like and subscribe!
Greg and Paul tee off on The Match 2. They give their thoughts on the golf in general, but also on Tom, Peyton, Phil, and Tiger and their personalities. It also leads to "Like A Boss" where if you did a boss move or comment, you earn that weeks "Like A Boss" title. Next the guys get into the NHL and NBA playoffs and the formats and setups they are looking to use when starting back up in mid to late summer. Finally, the MLB hasn't nailed it, but a brewery in NJ HAS "Nailed It" and gets the newest addition to the random segments award. He gets his team and whose bat flips he'll be cheering for the rest of the year. Next it's did Brett Favre really do that? Another scandal for Favre or as Paul says Fav-ray. Is it as bad as his others? Lastly we cover the Great golf match that is set up between Phil, Brady, Tiger, and Peyton. Four guys who only need one name for you to know who they are.
