Stephen Wolfram answers questions from his viewers about business, innovation, and managing life as part of an unscripted livestream series, also available on YouTube here: https://wolfr.am/youtube-sw-business-qaQuestions include: Physicists that "could code" used to be the hot commodity; is it helpful now? Seems like CS/ML people are more in demand than physicists now—why? - I find that building simple frameworks in software GREATLY helps understanding of the underlying material. Mathematics especially, but I don't think it's limited to hard sciences. - I kind of doubt my trying to self-teach cryptanalysis is going to be very transferrable. - Would you consider "science communicator" a career? What skills would be most important? - How would you think about approaching school in the age of AI and LLMS? Should I, as a university student, embrace AI and LLMs? Or should I avoid them to eliminate risks of being too dependent on technology? - I did specialized things for the government and just got laid off. There are no similar jobs in the public sector. How can/should I pivot? - Is it better to stay at one job and "move up the ladder" over decades like our parents did or adopt this trend of staying at a company for no more than three years before salary-shopping elsewhere? - Do you see any solution to the "iron law of oligarchy" on the scale of generations? - Interesting point; so how do we break the mold? I'm northeast England, a deprived region—any advice to get my children (15F, 20F) to realize their potential? - What about economic barriers to "success" and fields where someone can be successful needing expensive education? - What would you say to someone who could change the world but who lacks any resources or academic backing, so nobody wants to help?

Send us a textUncertainty and Anxiety. That is what many are feeling as Donald Trump prepares to return to the White House. Add to that unpredictability, a hallmark of the first Trump administration. We are seeing that now with the people nominated for top governmental posts. All of this adds to the uncertainty and anxiety. So how do we handle it? For advice, Chino Y Chicano host Enrique Cerna called on Karla Blanco, who holds a Ph.D in Psychology from Washington State University. Blanco works as a psychology professor at San Diego City College. She talks about the impact on her students. Many are Latino who are concerned about the talk of mass deportations. It is not only the students who are worried but also Karla Blanco who wonders about her own status. Send us a textPhillip Bobo works in Hollywood as a writer, director and producer. His journey to working in the entertainment field is compelling and definitely worth a listen. As he tells Chino Y Chicano host Enrique Cerna, it's a journey that began at Washington State University where Bobo was a standout wide receiver in th early 90s. After deciding to leave WSU after his junior year for a shot at a pro career, Bobo found himself facing challenge and adversity. Still, he pursued what he wanted to do most in his life, a career as a writer and producer in Hollywood, receiving mentoring from an Oscar winning actor, and discovering a new attitude and purpose in life. Among the 14 people indicted, Marty Jackson, the executive director of the SE Network Safety Net, a community group that is part of the Boys & Girls Clubs of King County. The U.S. Attorney's Office says the indictments are linked to fentanyl that killed a member of the Lummi Nation in September 2023. BEES IN THE HOUSE! Yes, mild panic ensued but 5 bees was 5 more than needed. One of Acorn's nightmares... Turns out, it was a few mason bees hatching out after hibernating in the bark of firewood that Blind Hog brought in.... PHEW!!!Yo-yo temperatures continue. Acorn may have to buy cold crop garden starts after all... The cabbage, broccoli and kale did not enjoy the below 20F mornings last week...76F today at the farm. Moved the bee hives further east towards the new chosen bee-spot for the two hives. Both were doing just fine.
As a college student at Vassar, Rick Shenkman was a fervent supporter of Richard Nixon. As the Watergate scandal unfolded, Shenkman was unwavering in his defense of Nixon. He was a poster boy for cognitive dissonance, unwilling to admit he was wrong about Nixon. But the firing of Special Prosecutor Archibald Cox in the infamous Saturday Night Massacre was a turning point for the then young conservative. Shenkman is a former journalist, turned historian and the author of seven books on politics. He talks about his days as a Nixon supporter, his cognitive dissonance and how this behavior is playing a role in today's unfaltering support of Donald Trump. The Chino Y Chicano mark National Sunshine Week, a time to shine a light on the importance of public records and open government. But according to Mike Fancher, retired Seattle Times executive editor and currently the president of the Washington Coalition for Open Government that sunshine is lacking especially in our state legislature. The independent, non-profit, non-partisan organization released a report that is highly critical of Washington's public agencies and state lawmakers for their lack of transparency. The Coalition argues they are making it harder for the public to access information and that is eroding the state's Public Record's Act. Reddit rSlash Storytime r relationships where Bf (27M) said he expects me (20F) to make him dinner. How do I address this? my best friend is getting married and when he and his fiancée asked if I would be a bridesmaid, I declined because I know she is not very fond of me, but cited financial and work reasons instead. Eventually I have a conversation with my best friend about it and we come to a mutual understanding but the whole situation makes me feel uncomfortable, so I'm asking for input on whether I handled this well or not.my girlfriend wants to breakup with me because I can still feel a slight attraction for other girls. Is that normal? My partner is an addict and suffers from severe mental health issues. I made a decision to leave him but found an engagement ring and it made me rethink the whole situation. Dad won't give me a ride even though he offered before and there are 5 people for 5 seats. Is this a sign of something else and that I should be wary/create distance? My girlfriend of 3 years started dating someone new before we broke up and completely abandoned me and her stepdaughter Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

It is a fascinating story of picture brides, Japanese culture, Lori's family history and her childhood in Hawaii. About the author (2023)Emmy award winning journalist Lori Matsukawa tells a charming tale based on two real-life women who inspired her during her childhood in Hawaii - her babysitter and her maternal grandmother who was a picture bride. Set in the early 1960s, the story shows how simple cultural activities and a personal revelation by an immigrant woman inspire a young girl to be more than she thought she could be. Lori, who lives in the Seattle area, graduated from Aiea High School, Phi Beta Kappa from Stanford University and received an MA from the University of Washington. She was Miss Teenage America 1974. She and her husband Larry have a grown son. Author and illustrator Tammy Yee has worked on more than 36 children's books over her career. Her most recent title is The Angel of Santo Tomas. She lives in Hawaii.https://www.amazon.com/Brave-Mrs-Sato-Lori-Matsukawa/dp/1634050398/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=9781634050395&linkCode=qs&qid=1700769144&s=books&sr=1-1Read: https://www.nytimes.com/2023/09/08/us/lahaina-fire-families.html#:~:text=The%20F.B.I.,survivors%20wonder%20what%20comes%20next.: Read:https://www.spokesman.com/stories/2022/apr/15/fentanyl-involved-in-more-than-half-of-overdose-de/Read: https://pharmacy.wsu.edu/2021/08/23/how-one-professor-is-combating-a-silent-epidemic-in-eastern-washington/Read:https://www.courts.wa.gov/appellate_trial_courts/supreme/bios/?fa=scbios.display_file&fileID=gonzalezRead: https://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/mental-health/seattle-libraries-transit-branch-into-social-work-to-take-on-mental-health-drug-use/: Read:https://www.seattletimes.com/opinion/editorials/buoyed-by-poll-seattle-mayor-harrell-should-go-big-on-public-safety/Read: https://crosscut.com/news/2023/01/two-seattle-asian-american-community-newspapers-go-out-printRead: https://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/law-justice/leesa-manion-sworn-in-as-king-county-prosecuting-attorney/Read: The Best & Worst Awards for 2022https://i0.wp.com/nwasianweekly.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/04-05-Matt-and-Gei-1.jpgRead Marcus Harrison Green's Seattle's Times column about Black Youth suicide. https://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/mental-health/more-black-kids-are-dying-by-suicide-the-reasons-unfortunately-arent-surprising/

According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention: Fentanyl and other synthetic opioids are the most common drugs involved in overdose deaths. Even in small doses, it can be deadly. Over 150 people die every day from overdoses related to synthetic opioids like fentanyl. Nicole Rodin says the big concern is illegally produced fentanyl that is cheap and too easily accessible in communities throughout America. Rodin is an assistant professor at the Washington State University College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences where her focus is on Pharmacotherapy. She joins the Chino Y Chicano to talk about what the public needs to know about illicit fentanyl, and how addictive and deadly it can be. I'm your host Kate and today's story is either a tragic story of lives lost in a fire, a kidnapping, or who knows what. But it is the case of the 5 Sodder children who have been missing since their house caught fire on Christmas Eve of 1945. I don't have the heart to cover this during Christmastime, so Christmas in July will have to do. Colin Huwyler is the CEO of Optimus Technologies, a firm that designs and builds EPA compliant biodiesel conversion systems (“Vector Systems”) with integrated telematics to allow medium and heavy-duty diesel engines to operate on up to 100% biodiesel in temperatures to -20F. Colin founded the company in 2010 after previously founding Fossil Free Fuel, a renewable fuel company. Optimus Technologies' Vector System seamlessly integrates with existing engines or as a ship-through option on new commercial vehicle purchases. They focus on the highest efficacy solutions to carbon emissions by focusing on diesel (and biodiesel) over other forms of renewable energy. Jolien is revolutionizing the field of horse training. There where other fields of raising and training animals (and humans) has changed massively in the last 70 years, the field of horse training is left behind. Jolien, an amazing colleague of mine, is revolutionizing this field. She has a completely different take on training horses and on how we should treat them. Good morning, good afternoon and good evening wherever you are in the world, welcome to EV News Daily for Sunday 3rd October. It's Martyn Lee here and I go through every EV story so you don't have to. Thank you to MYEV.com for helping make this show, they've built the first marketplace specifically for Electric Vehicles. It's a totally free marketplace that simplifies the buying and selling process, and help you learn about EVs along the way too. QUESTION OF THE WEEK WITH EMOBILITYNORWAY.COM RAJEEV NARAYAN I can't imagine going back to an ICE vehicle as my daily driver, that being said, I would agree with you, that if I had to, it would be due to the lack of charging infrastructure. Earlier in September I had to make an emergency trip due to a death in the family to Atlanta from San Antonio and back, for which we had to pull out our Honda Odyssey Minivan that has been sitting for 2 years. I would not have been able to do the trip with our 2 EVs. This is also the reason, for now, that I keep an ICE vehicle around. PHIL KEMP I find it hard to envision a case in which I'd get another ICE car. Just one comes to mind - if I was forced to live where my daughter does - a tiny town at the end of a long rough road and a vulnerable power line. Failing that, I'd NEVER revert. DAVID TRIMBLE Why give up On EVs? For our family it's vehicle choice. Here in the US there are no electric station wagons. I need to replace my 2002 Mercedes wagon but with a dog an Electric SUV is not workable. Older dogs cannot easily manage the high floor height in SUVs. The other vehicle class not addressed is a small roadster. I also have a Mazda Miata - I don't see anything on the horizon that will scratch that itch! Use our older Leaf for about 80% of our driving but am painfully holding on for new offerings to replace our other cars! SCOTT BERGER I think studies showing that BEV drivers went back to ICE are confusing and sound erroneous because they are missing a key clarification. In other words, people/families with more than one car might buy an ICE car after owning EVs. That is my case. Since test driving an EV a few years back it was obvious my daily driver would never revert to a combustion car. I would like to know statistics for those with primary daily drivers that reverted. Those numbers I think would be vanishingly small. However, I'm a motoring enthusiast from a family of enthusiasts and there still remains no mainstream EV 1. sports car, 2. convertible. I'm also extremely passionate about manual transmissions for their engagement, which are hard to find in EVs. I recently bought a 4-seat BMW convertible with a turbocharged six-cylinder ICE engine. Both my siblings daily drive EVs but also own gas-burning manual sports cars. We might be an aberration, but I'm not so sure. So, yes, I technically have bought two ICE sports cars since going primarily EV, but the proportion of my driving on ICE is low since these gas-burners are niche cars used for nice days and weekend joyrides mostly. Once there's a viable, lightweight, sports car EV in convertible, I will strongly consider trading my BMW for such a vehicle. That said, my family will likely keep a few legacy ICE cars in perpetuity for occasional use. KARL CRAMER I imagine if I left electric it would be because of service. Some areas only have one dealership per make of car and if that one is bad you're out of luck for repairs because there aren't many independent garages that do electric. IAN WATKINS Just completed a 10 day holiday down to the Sth France, and we decided to drive and take our dog, including a overnight destination stop half way near Lyon down and Dijon on the way back. As a new ev owner of a iPace model year 20, I am a bit of a novice to the charging planner apps, so used a combination of A better route planner Plug Share Google Maps iPace navigation - rubbish ABRP failed to indicated a stop where we were relying on a 175kW charger was out of order ( the 1 and only) so had to use the 50Kw. Other times were sent down farm tracks to non existent chargers.... So on this basis, I would have loved to have my 500 mile range Diesal Volvo back just to get us down there, stress free with no range anxiety. Granted that was a 1 off, and not likely to do that trip again with the current 220 mile range limit on the i pace, maybe with a EV that had 350 miles and improved motorway infrastructure, which is coming and Ionity was the best and most expensive. PHILLIP OPRIE Price! I bought a third hand used 2013 Fiat 500e when I totaled my previous car. It's real world range (50 miles) just barely works for my daily commute, but doesn't allow for any route changes for errands. With the current price of a decent used EV and new ones having wait times getting longer and longer, I couldn't get another EV if something happens to my current car. Thank you for the show. DAVID ALLEN 1) My wife has suffered a blow to the head which has changed her personality such that she would divorce me if I didn't drive one. 2) Someone has taken my cats/dog or both hostage. 3) Little Timmy's kidney must get to the hospital and that's all that's available. 4) Zombie hoards have cut me off from my EV, and that's my only choice of a escape (However, I will circle back and get it at first opportunity). 5) I have fallen into an alternate dimension where Elon Musk is an evil coal baron. 6) The LHC at CERN created Strange quarks in an experiment gone awry, and electrons no longer work (which also means I'll have to drive an old diesel). 7) Jacob Rees-Mogg becomes Emperor Exxon I, and EVs are banned (though I will immediately join the rebellion). 8) Legacy auto pays me ONE TRILLION DOLLARS! [insert evil laugh here]. Hey, let's be everyone has a price, but I ain't cheap. But then that will mean Model Y's for everyone, especially hardworking British EV podcasters with three-year olds who live in the South of England. ROBERT GRACE I don't ever want to drive ICE again, but I still do for various reasons. If I had to pull a heavy trailer for a long distance--thousands of miles--I think that both the limited range and the trailer-adverse geometry of US charging stations would make that particular trip much easier with gasoline as an energy source. JEFF IN INDIANA As far as going back to an ICE car, I really can't think of a great reason at this point, aside from perhaps my preference of driving a manual transmission car, which obviously is irrelevant with an EV. But I do find that the regen paddle on my Bolt gives me SOME of that engagement back. My sister, however, did own an EV before me. Her husband and she bought an early Leaf. Unfortunately that also corresponded with one of the coldest winters we had had in recent years, with temperatures often hitting -20F that winter. The Leaf didn't cope well with that. She found that she was barely able to make it home from work, even with only using seat heaters and no heated air. After that, they traded in the Leaf for a Sentra. Today's EVs do much better with the cold, of course, but I have as yet not been able to convince them to give an EV another try. I walked into the kitchen wearing shorts and a hoodie with the sleeves rolled up.

17Corrige a tu hijo y vivirás tranquilo y satisfecho. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/yamy-cruz/message

Tonight the Swingset opens the mailbag... but does so carefully, as it's -20F outside. Dylan Thomas, Ginger Bentham, Bex Caputo, and Lunabelle answer your listener questions! Question 1: My boyfriend and I have been together for 8 years. We have amazing sex, but I can't seem to get satisfied sexually. We have sex/oral sex at least twice a day, but it seems like the more I orgasm, the more I crave it. He's slightly below average size, and I don't have any problems with his size because he knows what to do with it, but he's very self-conscious about his size. I'd love to bring up the topic of polyamory to him, but I'm afraid he'll feel like I want to do it just to be with someone bigger. In fact, I'm 100% positive that is what he would think. I've always felt that I might be bisexual. I'm fascinated with being with a woman, but I don't know how he'll react. Of course, it's every guys fantasy to have a threesome, but because of his self-consciousness, I don't think he'd be interested. I won't lie, being with someone bigger is also a curiosity of mine. He has a phobia (?) of someone bigger changing the way my vagina feels to him, so even if he were interested in swinging, I don't think he'd want me to be with another man. I love him very much, but I feel like there are a lot of things I want to experience and I'm not getting any younger (I'm 36). I don't want to break up over it, because I'm very happy with him, but I'd also like to see what his thoughts are about it. How can I bring it up in a subtle, non-threatening way that might make him more interested? Question 2: My spouse and I are considering divorce. We love each other so much, but 15 years of marriage has left it's scars. We both have other partners, and breaking up with them, or closing our relationship at all is not on the table. These relationships are long standing, and breaking up would hurt multiple people and breed resentment. Besides, the openness of our relationship is not the issue. Do you have any advice for maintaining secondary relationships while the primary is in trouble? How to maintain boundaries when your whole life is up in the air? Hope that's not too long! I love your podcast, and I especially love listening to it at work, where everyone thinks I'm a sweet normal and slightly boring office manager. Question 3: We are always taught to think of ourselves as being sexy but we won't look at ourselves and imagine ourselves as being sexy individuals. One of the problems that I've seen recently is you look at profiles or even advertise it for things even the desire takeover is we talked a get-together of sexy people or people say we are looking for other sexy couples. The man that couples look it up and see that she is a BBW or I am a short chunky guy we no longer fit that is sexy category and both know hurts her feelings hurt our feelings. Why is it that BBW it's almost turned into a niche versus just a description of an individual? It's almost like you're not an individual you're a BBW so you don't fit into this category and I've seen this very very bad in the swingers world. So my question would be for you all is have you seen this how open are you to BBWs in your opinion of BBWs and how suggestion would you make to BBWs to get themselves more confident comfortable and energetic about the lifestyle itself? Lunabelle mentioned her post, "I Like Big Toys and I Cannot Lie". Ginger mentioned the Unfuckwithable video. Dylan mentioned Elle Chase's book, Curvy Girl Sex . Trucking Vocabulary Basically two types of trucks Conventional - A truck with the engine mounted in front of the cab. Has a nose Cabover - A truck with the engine mounted between the frame rails and under the cab. Manufacturers These are the class 8 tractor/trailer makers. 1. Peterbuilt - Pete, Petercar 2. Freightliner - Freightshaker 3. Kenworth - Kwhopper 4. International - 13 letter shit spreader, corn binder 5. Mack - Bulldog 6. Ford/Sterling 7. Western Star Types of Trucks Kind of confusing because a “truck” is known by it’s trailer. Freight hauler, Dry Box, Van - regular dry van. Typically 53’ long. Occasionally see a 48’ Also some are called soft sides which are trailers with tarps for sides but still has the typical hard roof, nose and doors on the rear of the trailer. Reefer/Refrigerated - A refrigerated trailer for hauling fresh/frozen food or special chemicals. No trailer that has ever hauled hazmat can ever haul food. Temp ranges from -20F to 70F Flatbed/Skateboard - A trailer with no solid walls that require straps and/or chains to secure the load to the deck. Most often needs tarps to cover the freight. A flat bed may also have a “tarp system” which consists of aluminum frame with a tarp attached to the frame. There are also a type of tarp system that has a portable plywood sidewall sections that have a tarp stretched over the top of the freight. These are referred to as covered wagons because they resemble the covered wagons of the old west. Dumps . End dump - A open roof trailer that lifts up and dumps the load out of a tailgate at the rear of the trailer. Typically used in construction for dirt, gravel, rocks, etcBelly dump/Hopper bottom - A trailer that has a dump underneath the frame. Most used for grain. Several different types. ● Full Grown Bear - A state trooper ● City Kitty - Local city cop. ● County Mounty - Sheriff deputy --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/TruckinNutz/support
My husband has always wanted to raise pheasants. Since we are usually game to try anything once, we started our research, prepared their space, and ordered some pheasant chicks. But there were many things I didn't know before raising pheasants that were made abundantly clear after spending time with them at our farm. I'm gonna let you in on five of these things today. (Don't want to read all the words? This blog post is also a podcast—just press the triangle play button on the little black bar at the top of this post!) Before raising pheasants, I didn't know they were so noisy: Pheasant roosters are noisy. Roosters screech, and if you have a lot of them that get all worked up, it can get rather annoying. I would say it ranks right up there with the noises a guinea hen makes - although I would also say that pheasant roosters talk less, even if it is just as loud. Pheasant hens are rather quiet. Pheasant hens make a sort of peeping noise that sounds a lot like a little chick. Also, be aware that pheasants hiss. Yeah. For real. Before raising pheasants, I didn't realize how different they were from chickens: It seems obvious to say it, but pheasants aren't chickens. They are wild animals. You won't be training a pheasant to come for treats. You will not be picking up a pheasant and letting it sit on your lap. They are rather elusive. We rarely ever see them in the barn. They must come in because that's where their food and water is...but we don't see them. They're not curious, and if they see you, they generally want to get away from you. My oldest, catching a pheasant on release day. Notice the fancy eye protection. ;) Before raising pheasants, I didn't know how aggressive they could be: They pick at each other. They can be aggressive. They can even be little cannibals. This is common for game birds in captivity, but pheasants are by far the worst offenders. Some say that giving them enough space and enough to do will decrease this practice. I can assure you we have plenty of space and plenty for them to do, and this has still happened a couple times in our outdoor run. You can buy blinders for the pheasants, if you so desire, but wasn't anything we ever tried. Before raising pheasants, I didn't know what little ninjas they were: If you don't prep their housing correctly, you're going to have a lot of escapees. Pheasants want to escape—they want to be in the wild!—and they are really good at escaping if given any inkling of a chance. One day my sons went in to feed them and two were waiting at the door. Those pheasants ran out like lightning bolts before my boys even knew what was happening. They are so fast. In fact, even as chicks their speed and agility is amazing. Pheasant chicks are far more active than chicken chicks, and much earlier than chicken chicks. I've never had to cover a brooder for one week old chicken chicks. Baby pheasants were hopping out in a few days like it was nothing at all. Oh, and baby pheasants are tiny. Like, really tiny. Having only dealt with chicken chicks, I was surprised how little these babies were. Here is a short video we made right after our first batch of pheasant chicks arrived. *Please know that if you're going to incubate your own pheasant eggs so you don't have to purchase chicks, you may need a game farm license from your local Department of Natural Resources. So, yes - they are tiny. When the pheasant books recommend netting no larger than 1" squares, and covering all the possible areas that a chick/young pheasant could escape, they mean what they say. Before raising pheasants, I didn't realize how hardcore they are: Weather wise, pheasants are hardcore. Whereas chickens will generally stay in the barn when the weather turns bad, pheasants tough it out. Cold? Snowing? Sleeting? Windy? There's the pheasants, taking it all in. Even when we had windchills of -20F to -30F, the adult pheasants still spent most of their time ...

Guest // David George Haskell, PhDHost // Louise Kuo HabakusThe #1 ranked high school in the country is requiring this book, The Forest Unseen, as summer reading for all incoming freshmen. I picked it up and was hooked. The premise is simple — what can we learn by closely observing the same square meter of forest over a one year period? It’s no surprise that the forest can teach us biology. But does it also hold lessons about social connections, social responsibility, and our essential humanity?Yes.Imagine a contemporary biologist who writes like a poet — giddy with delight about the surprises and secrets that Nature will disclose to anyone who cares to take a closer look.We know that our kids need to spend more time outdoors. For this to happen, maybe parents need a dose of inspiration, too. This isn’t a quick read; you won’t (and shouldn’t) knock it off your list in a weekend. I’m reading it with my boys, individually. Each is drawn to different ideas — the brutal parasitism of the horsetail worm… stripping naked in -20F weather to experience winter as the chickadees do — but it feeds curiosity and spurs some terrific conversations. If you’re headed to the lake or mountains — or wish you were — this is the perfect summer read. The chapters are short and the insights are unexpected. It’s no wonder that this book was a finalist for the 2013 Pulitzer Prize and received numerous awards, including the National Academies’ Best Book Award for 2013, the 2013 Reed Environmental Writing Award, and the 2012 National Outdoor Book Award for Natural History Literature. A profile in The New York Times said that Haskell “gives the natural world the kind of open-minded attention one expects from a Zen monk rather than a hypothesis-driven scientist.”David George Haskell, PhD holds degrees from the University of Oxford and Cornell University. He is Professor of Biology at the University of the South, where he served as Chair of Biology. His scientific research on animal ecology, evolution, and conservation has been sponsored by the National Science Foundation, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Fish and Wildlife Service, the World Wildlife Fund, among others. David serves on the boards and advisory committees of local and regional land conservation groups. His classes have received national attention for the innovative ways they combine science, contemplation, and action in the community. David was born in England, raised in Paris, educated at Oxford and Cornell, and now lives in Tennessee where he helps his wife run a CSA called Cudzoo Farm.

He composed over 600 works, many acknowledged as pinnacles of symphonic, concertante, chamber, operatic, and choral music. He is among the most enduringly popular of classical composers.Mozart showed prodigious ability from his earliest childhood in Salzburg. Already competent on keyboard and violin, he composed from the age of five and performed before European royalty. At 17, he was engaged as a court musician in Salzburg, but grew restless and travelled in search of a better position, always composing abundantly. While visiting Vienna in 1781, he was dismissed from his Salzburg position. He chose to stay in the capital, where he achieved fame but little financial security. During his final years in Vienna, he composed many of his best-known symphonies, concertos, and operas, and portions of the Requiem, which was largely unfinished at the time of his death. The circumstances of his early death have been much mythologized. He was survived by his wife Constanze and two sons.Mozart learned voraciously from others, and developed a brilliance and maturity of style that encompassed the light and graceful along with the dark and passionate. His influence on subsequent Western art music is profound. Beethoven wrote his own early compositions in the shadow of Mozart, and Joseph Haydn wrote that "posterity will not see such a talent again in 100 years."[3]From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
