“After a paddleboard yoga class you’re usually more sore than after a regular yoga class,” said Alex Keller '15, the class instructor. Keller says that when you transition from a stable surface to an unstable surface you begin to use different muscles to remain balanced. Medical student Ali Meier loves the class because “it’s so much harder than regular yoga, it just engages a lot more muscles.” Since January, the class has meet every Friday from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in the Student Union pool. The class is free for students, but regular Rec Fit pricing applies for faculty and staff. Currently the class is limited to four participants at a time. Indoor session will wrap up on April 22, after which the class will transition to outdoor instruction as the weather warms up.
