Notre première discussion comportera de nombreux exemples du point de grammaire de cette semaine : The Passé Composé with the Auxiliary “avoir” (Part 3): Verbs of the Third Group Lesson 2: Verbs ending in “re”, “rendre” , “mettre”, and “aître”.

Jamie Hagen's got the inside scoop, but won't divulge the name of the new Mack tractor model set to be debuted next month in New York in this year of Mack's 125th anniversary as a company. Small Fleet owner Hagen has actually driven one hand-built production model already around the company's test track hidden behind the walls, and come June he expects to be leasing one of the first production units in an arrangement with Mack's marketing arm -- it'll add to his all-Mack fleet, South Dakota-headquartered Hell Bent Xpress, among finalists in 2024 for Overdrive's Small Fleet Championship: https://www.overdriveonline.com/small-fleet-champ/article/15704803/small-fleet-champ-four-finalists-to-square-off The new truck will add 1 to Hell Bent's power-unit count, currently sitting where it was back when we last spoke around the Small Fleet Champ program's conclusion in November, at 9 trucks, so there's big things ahead for Hagen and Hell Bent, no doubt. Yet the new Mack wasn't the principal reason we brought him in for this edition of Overdrive Radio -- rather, the forward-looking small fleet owner happens to be the first U.S. owner to install a new-to-the-U.S. auxiliary air-conditioning unit in the sleeper of one of his Macks. That's the Fresco 9000 MaXX system built by an Italian manufacturer and powered by U.S.-based Dragonfly Energy's Battle Born Batteries Lithium Iron Phosphate battery to deliver cooling power in the warmer months: https://www.overdriveonline.com/gear/product/15684579/autoclima-fresco-9000-maxx-batterypowered-auxiliary-ac-unit-hitting-us-shores Hagen walks through the unit's design and, along the way, his rationale for jumping into the modular, portable system after years forgoing alternative A/C for his mostly upper Midwest regional fleet. (Yes, he's got auxiliary heat in the form of Webasto bunk heaters.) If you'll be in attendance at the big Mid-America Trucking Show later this month, too, Hagen will be part of a panel discussion opening the event on Thursday, March 27, about small trucking business issues. It also features a past Overdrive Small Fleet Champ in Silver Creek Transportation's Jason Cowan, among many others: https://truckingshow.com/opening-breakfast/ Hear more about that in the podcast, likewise the story of how a 2023 Mack Anthem in the small fleet of Hell Bent Xpress came to be the first truck to get an install of the Fresco 9000 MaXX battery-powered alternative air conditioning system, performed by the way by Jim Fowler and his team at Michigan MD Alignment. Notre premier dialogue contiendra des exemples du sujet de grammaire de la semaine The Passé Composé with the Auxiliary “avoir” (Part 3): Verbs of the Third Group (Lesson 1): Verbs ending in “ir”.

This is how he got introduced to Jack LaLane. He started mimicking what he was learning. Weightlifting 101 You'll want to take notes. (27:00) Both aerobic (cardio) and anaerobic (weights) training are important. Only work the muscles you plan on keeping! (29:00) It's important to balance with both pushing and pulling movements. Compound movement is moving more than one joint at a time. (31:30) Auxiliary exercises are good for isolation and definition but aren't as necessary as compound movements. (34:30) Compound movements will also save you time. Reps and Sets (39:00) Vinnie has tried various protocols. He describes what his preferred method is. He likes three sets: one for warm-up, one for just short of failure, and one until failure. Do not go to failure when you are alone for moves like bench presses when doing free weights, etc. Do not drop or throw your weights around—you'll just look like an asshole. (42:00) You don't have to go to failure if you're noticing an increase in strength over time. Leg Day Never skip Leg Day. (45:30) His four preferred exercises for this are squats, lunges, deadlifts, and leg press. He picks at least three of the four every time. He describes a twice-a-week workout, which can work great for maintaining muscle strength. (50:00) Basic bodyweight exercises can be effective, too! Where there is a will, there's a way! Some artists manage to carve out a space in your mind with a style so distinct you find yourself constantly returning for more. Over the past year and a half, one name has been on steady rotation here at Delayed: Sciama. Whether it's his original productions or hypnotic mixes, the London-based producer has consistently delivered. His work has earned a home on ASC's outstanding Auxiliary label and, more recently, on Forest Drive West's OODA imprint. Today's feature is a special treat, a thrilling journey through Sciama's set from this year's Perpendicular festival. Our ongoing collaboration continues to shine a spotlight on the freshest talent and cutting-edge mixes, and this is no exception. This is Sciama at his most exhilarating: a 130-minute thrill ride recorded late at night deep in a Spanish forest. Packed with polyrhythmic wizardry that straddles the line between halftime and techno, it's a rollercoaster of tension and explosive release points carried by a relentless groove, impossible to resist. This is a set to get lost in, move to, and feel visceral. It's crème de la crème DJing from one of our favorites. In this informative episode of the HVAC School podcast, host Bryan Orr sits down with Tom Lorenz to talk about some of the Sensi thermostat features, particularly aux lockout and balance point. Tom leads the traditional and smart thermostat lines at Copeland and has over 25 years of experience in the industry. The discussion focuses on two key features of heat pump thermostats: auxiliary lockout and balance point. Tom explains that auxiliary lockout is crucial for energy efficiency, as auxiliary heat (whether electric or propane) is typically more expensive than heat pump operation. All Sensi thermostats now include this feature, which can use internet weather data or a physical outdoor sensor to determine when to engage auxiliary heat. Balance point settings are complex, and there's no one-size-fits-all approach. Factors like heat pump efficiency, home insulation, local climate, and energy costs all play a role in determining the ideal balance point. They emphasize the importance of contractors understanding the specific equipment and secondary heat source when setting up a system for optimal performance and efficiency. The conversation also touches on Sensi's approach to thermostat design, prioritizing ease of use and essential features over feature bloat. Auxiliaries were some of the most important troops in the all-conquering Roman Army. Unlike legionaries, their more heavily-armoured and widely famed counterparts, auxiliaries were recruited from across the Empire and were renowned for their versatility. Deployed as border guards in the far-away hinterlands near Hadrians Wall or as mobile cavalry in the deserts of Parthia, they helped aid the advance of Rome's military behemoth in many more ways than one.In today's episode of The Ancients, Tristan Hughes is joined by historical novelist Ben Kane to delve deeper into the fascinating stories of these soldiers and uncover who they were, where they came from and how important they were to Rome's many conquests. This episode was edited and produced by Joseph Knight.Enjoy unlimited access to award-winning original documentaries that are released weekly and AD-FREE podcasts.
