Ahead of Edinburgh International Film Festival kicking off on 13 August, Ellie, Peter, Jamie and Anahit have got together to take a deep dive into three interesting-looking titles in the programme. First they take a trip back to 19th-century Edinburgh for The Education of Jane Cumming, a true-life story that inspired the classic 60s queer drama The Children's Hour. It's then off to France for Goodbye Cruel World, a beautifully shot film that begins as a story of teen bullying and depression before morphing into a dreamy coming-of-age romance. And things then take a turn in our kooky third film, The Peril at Pincer Point, which follows a feckless sound recordist searching for unique field recordings on a strange island. We also pick out some other picks from the festival and get a bit too animated about an unlikely inclusion in the programme: Michael Bay's delightfully ludicrous action thriller The Rock. This week Heff is joined by original co-host of The Keeper League Podcast, Kaes, to review Round 16 of the 2026 AFL Fantasy season from a draft and keeper league perspective.Sam Cumming was one of the most encouraging names of the round after spending the day in the Richmond midfield. With 21 CBAs and an 83-point score, he's starting to look like a genuine fantasy player of the future. We discuss whether this is the start of something coaches can properly buy into, or if we still need to see a bit more.Josh Lai also caught the eye for Port Adelaide. He hasn't quite put the fantasy numbers together yet, but there are signs there. With 10 marks from just 13 disposals, he showed he can intercept and find the ball in the right spots, so we look at whether there's something developing from a keeper league point of view.Zeke Uwland put up his best score of the season for Gold Coast, finishing with 86 from a half-back role. It was his first score above 70 for the year, so we dig into whether the role has changed, whether the score is repeatable, and what to make of his upcoming matchup against Collingwood. There's also plenty more to get through, including Rhyan Mansell, Cooper Harvey, Patrick Retschko, Cooper Trembath, Billy Wilson, Sam Durham, Karl Worner, Blake Hardwick, James Rowbottom and more.As always, it's about working out what's real, what's role-driven, and what's just a one-week spike. If you're playing draft and keeper leagues, this episode is packed with the insights you need to stay ahead of the curve.Become a Keeper League Podcast member:https://keeperleaguepod.com.au/keeper-league-membership/Join our Discord:https://discord.gg/APjqvT22zePlay FootyNumbers:https://footynumbers.comPlay FootyHeads:https://footyheads.com

Shoot us a Text.Episode #1351: Today we talk about the growing affordability squeeze facing car buyers, why dealerships are now negotiating with customers and ChatGPT at the same time, and the Kansas Ford dealer whose sold F-250 is temporarily protected by federal bird lawShow Notes with links:New-vehicle demand is holding strong, but affordability is still doing consumers no favors. Higher prices, rising monthly payments, and stretched loan terms continue shaping how buyers shop and finance in 2026.Cox Automotive says the average new-vehicle monthly payment climbed to $757 in April, while the average new-vehicle loan rate increased to 9.45%. Buyers now need 35.2 weeks of median income to afford the average new vehicle.JD Power projects May average monthly payments will trend even higher toward $810 as consumers continue battling affordability pressure.Buyers are leaning harder on longer loan terms, with 13.4% of loans now stretching to 84 months or longer.Negative equity is becoming a bigger issue too, with more than 30% of trade-ins carrying negative equity year over year.Despite all of that, demand remains strong. JD Power forecasts May retail sales will rise 6% year over year as incentives increase and interest rates slowly improve.AI is officially part of the showroom process. More shoppers are showing up armed with pricing advice from ChatGPT and Claude, pushing dealers to sharpen how they explain value beyond the numbers.A customer at Beaver Toyota of Cumming tried to renegotiate a Grand Highlander deal after consulting ChatGPT and Claude overnight. The dealership kept the deal alive by focusing on added value including a lifetime powertrain warranty, oil changes, and roadside assistance.Cox Automotive says 17% of new-car shoppers and 11% of used-car shoppers are already using AI tools during the buying process.Vincue executive Daniel Govaer is developing a white paper to help dealerships respond to AI-driven objections and pricing conversations.“I'm trying to get the word out that there is life in negotiating with AI. This is just another opportunity for us to adapt.” — Daniel GovaerOne Kansas Ford dealer sold an F-250 that can't be delivered yet because a robin built a nest on the truck, laid eggs, and now the whole thing is federally protected. Somewhere, a customer is financing both a pickup and a tiny wildlife preserve.Employees at Olathe Ford Lincoln discovered a robin's nest on the front passenger-side tire of a black F-250 back in early May.The eggs hatched on May 14, and under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, the dealership legally cannot move the truck until the birds leave the nest. The dealership thanked the customer for being patient while the baby robins grow up and move out.Staff say they've become emotionally invested in the birds, joking that the dealership is slowly turning into an animal rescue. One employee told local news: “We found some cats in the cars before… and just today, someone came in to get their oil changed, and we lifted up the hood, and there was a mama possum with about seven baby possums.”Join Paul J Daly and Kyle Mountsier every morning for the Automotive State of the Union podcast as they connect the dots across car dealerships, retail trends, emerging tech like AI, and cultural shifts—bringing clarity, speed, and people-first insight to automotive leaders navigating a rapidly changing industry.Get the Daily Push Back email at https://www.asotu.com/JOIN the conversation on LinkedIn at: https://www.linkedin.com/company/asotu/

Massimo D'Ambrosio is back on the 2G4P list after another strong score on the wing. It was a friendly matchup, but with three good games in a row, we ask whether he has finally turned a corner and become a legitimate draft and keeper league option again.Sam Cumming has wasted no time making an impact, going straight into Richmond's midfield mix and attending 23 centre bounces this week. With Taranto out and Prestia going down early, the opportunity is clearly there — and he now looks like one of the most interesting young names to track moving forward.Noah Balta might be the wildest talking point of the week, rucking for Richmond and scoring 119 with 20 hit-outs. With DEF/FWD status and Richmond short on ruck options, we discuss whether this is just a short-term fix or something that could actually hold value for fantasy coaches. We also dig into the other big role changes and waiver wire names from the round, including Kane McAuliffe, Tom Brown, Lincoln McCarthy, Sam Durham, Colby McKercher, Liam Henry, Peter Wright and more.As always, it's about working out what's real, what's role-driven, and what's just a one-week spike.

Today is the day before our Spring SHARE begins, and we spent time praising God's power in our lives. We asked callers, "What reminds you of what you've been saved from?" One of our guests included Jed Coppenger. He is the lead pastor of First Baptist Church in Cumming, Georgia. He is also a speaker and author. We highlighted his book, "Fake Christianity: 10 Traps of an Inauthentic Faith", as we discussed the influence of counterfeit gospels in our culture. Then, we had Dr. Andy Bannister join us to discuss how to know the absolute Truth and share that Truth with someone in a loving and gentle way when there are opposing ideas. Dr. Bannister is the Director of Solas, and he speaks and teaches regularly throughout the UK, Europe, Canada, the USA, and the wider world. He addresses audiences of Christians and people of all faiths, or none, on issues related to faith, culture, politics, and society. He also hosts 2 podcasts called PEP Talk and Pod of the Gaps. He also wrote several books, including “Have you Ever Wondred?" Finally, we invited Dr. Hormoz Shariat back for more updates on the situation in Iran. Dr. Shariat is the Founder and President of Iran Alive Ministries (IAM), which uses satellite broadcasting and the internet to reach Iranians with the gospel. Dr. Shariat has been named “the Billy Graham of Iran” and “the most influential Iranian American” by Christianity Today.Donate to Moody Radio: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/morningshowSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
