We are back with another “P” in the 12 Oaks (pod)cast. Mark and Lauren Hanna moved to the 12 Oaks community from Massachusetts four years ago and have no desire to look back. They are parents to a wonderful little girl and share more about their lives, family, and upbringing. Both Mark and Lauren are only children, raising an only child. They also give a bit of insight on what it’s like to raise their only daughter and their ability to provide her with every opportunity. They are also fur-parents to the most adorable little Maltipoo. We have reached the end again. Today, we gather one last time to share our final impressions and thoughts on season 36, Survivor Ghost Island. Much like last season, the finale got mixed reviews. While most of us have given up on poor Adam, there are still quite a few cheering and hoping that Jay can mount a comeback. This week's feedback reminds us that not everyone was happy to see Taylor go and there are still a few Will fans out there too. We've reached the half way point in the game this season. It's a good time to look back over the first six episodes and see how this season is fairing. Most of us have been surprised by who is still in the game. Early favorites have been decimated either through gameplay or the elements, and several of us have been surprised to find ourselves cheering for castaways that we expected to go early. Overall sentiment remains positive and we look forward to seeing where the chips fall after the merge. We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great LF show. Well, the first episode allayed some of our fears for the new season and certainly managed to give us a new one regarding creepy crawlies getting into our ears. The general consensus is that it looks like we have a good cast and most of us are hopeful for what the season holds, but not everyone is convinced just yet. We are anxious for the next episode, and we want to continue to encourage CBS to make all of them at least 90 minutes long. Survivor fans agree, this Thanksgiving brought us a cornucopia of riches with a double episode, epic blindsides, fantastic challenges, and best of all it kept us guessing the whole time. The consensus seems to be that Spencer, Jeremy, Wentworth and Abi are all strong candidates to make it to the end now, but who knows given all the unexpected results we've seen so far. Improvise, adapt and overcome is a core mantra for any successful castaway. The split to three tribes really challenged the six members of the new Angkor tribe and it prompted lots of discussion in this week's show. While we all know the show does not play fair, the extent of the imbalance seemed way out of whack for some fans. Most of us agree that it was fun to watch how well Tasha excelled, while some of us were surprised how quickly and completely Varner spun out of control, only to grab a safety line at the last minute. We are all anxious for what episode four will bring. We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great LF show. There were some very interesting developments in this episode from a gameplay perspective. There were also examples of some really ugly, human behavior. Survivor is a reflection of the human experience which includes the good and the bad. There are often teachable moments after episodes like this and we really appreciate the fans that share their reactions and observations to help us all expand our understanding of each other and the game. For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. The outcome this week was without a doubt predicted by many, but the circumstances that led to this result included many surprises and twists. The fact that several fans talked about how it is still anyone's game, is a testament to how much many of us are enjoying this season. With so many castaways that know the game this season it continues to keep us guessing as to how it will all play out. Yes, this was much better. We had some classic Survivor game play in episode 8, and the fans heartily approve! The two big rivals faced off, and the consensus from the feedback this week was that Jon and Jaclyn made the best choice. The tribe swap certainly shook things up, but not everyone in this week's LF show is in agreement on the results. It does look a bit lopsided giving Hunahpu an advantage and the conspicuous couples vs singles result left some of you suspicious of foul play by the producers. Looks like quite a few of us will be picking Dale as next to go, again. We are all kind of wondering why folks at the Hunahpu camp are not able to find anything else to eat and are hoping Jeff really makes them pay the price for mismanaging their food. For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Spencer is the obvious choice for the next one to be voted out, but he has a habit of saving himself when the chips are down. If that were to happen again, the feedback this week says Woo will be the most likely to join the jury next. Based on your responses, it is clear that Kass has more in common with Russell Hantz than Tony, by a long shot. In spite of all that, hope is not lost for Kaos Kass. Some of you still think she can pull out a win if she is sitting beside the right folks at final tribal council. For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. No one shed a tear over Morgan's exit. If anything she'll be referenced as a comparison for the extent of her shallowness. Spencer took us on a roller coaster ride. He seems to have as many ups and downs as Tony, but now he has an advantage. According to the feedback this week, Kass appears to be unaware how similar she actually is to Morgan when it comes down to being liked by fellow castaways. Wonder Woo remains a fan favorite, but LJ is hands down the favorite to win in JSFL now. For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Kass unleashed a "chaos" virus after the merge and left many of us scratching our heads. At least one fan thinks she was on to a truly "calculated" move to get her to the end though. While many were sad to see Sarah go, most of us agreed that she had lost her luster earlier in the game and never recovered. Several questions remain as we head into the second half of the game. Who will find the TP idol, and will it's potential power change the course of the game for one castaway? Can anyone count on Kass in an alliance? Will she become this season's goat? Can the majority alliance hold it together long enough to "Pagong" Spencer, Tasha, Morgan and Jeremiah? All these variables are keeping it exciting, and we're very thankful to have a season with so many people that really want to play Survivor, and an edit that hasn't been spoiling the surprises! For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Judging from the feedback, this season continues to deliver on multiple levels. Most of you believe LJ and Tony must have had a deeper conversation that we did not get to hear, but no one was complaining about the blindside at Tribal Council. Theories were split on whether it was Tony's best move, whether Lindsey will actually quit, and especially on Morgan's future. The challenge now will be to see who can build alliances to last through the merge. We can't wait for episode 5. For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. There was a definite split in the feedback this week. Some thought they should have kept J'Tia and the other group was ecstatic to see her go. Morgan's ability to think on her feet continues to impress, but many doubt that she can leverage that to get her to the end. Sarah's attempt to throw the challenge made her look much like Tony from the perspective of playing too hard before it was required. We are all hoping that the tribal shuffle gives us two balanced tribes that will have to face off and fight hard for every victory as we close in on the merge. This reset should be really interesting as we watch close to see who adapts the quickest. There was little remorse for Aras's loss. Vytas is expected to follow shortly, and many are worried for Tina. Tyson, Hayden and even Cierra were all floated as potential winners now that the merge has occurred. We are headed for a double elimination. Lady Rupert was a focus of the discussion this week. It is easy to see why BrandonA would consider her for worst Survivor ever. The consensus says that LauraM will return from RI. Dan from NY reminded us that she was a fitness instructor, so this prediction has merit even if we haven't seen her do anything physical in the challenges so far. It is clear from your response that we are all thrilled to have a normal Survivor episode back this week. Several of you had some interesting predictions for how it might play out from here. The consensus remains that the "fans" are doomed. Contrary to what we initially thought, the shuffle might not have been random at all. As observed by Jen, James and Paul, Probst offered the original Gota tribe what appears to be an suspiciously imbalanced set of eggs. Go back and take a closer look. Up until now, a lot of us had a generally positive view of this season. We could overlook the wasted space that Shamar occupied and look forward. Unfortunately, Episode 5 and all the ugliness that occurred inside has shifted the majority opinion. While several people mentioned they liked this episode, the spectacle that became Brandon's exit has cast a bad perception on everything. He had been hyped from the NToS outburst for episode 1, but it was easy to overlook his threats. Episode 5 made him the sole focus of the show which equaled an unpleasant experience for some but not all. The great thing about our SFP community is that we love the show, have diverse life experience and a have combined that with our willingness to share that allows us to step back and look at what transpired through many lenses to help make sense of it all. Plus, we got a bonus bad boy crush confession from a fellow fan. For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. There was definitely one thing we all agreed on. Regardless of how he left, it was good to see Shamar make his exit which also resulted in many of you voting karma as "Player of the Week". Reviews on Laura's departure were mixed. Many valued her for her strategic play, but the exit interviews left many wondering how much of that was favorable editing. We had some good back-n-forth on the classic strength versus loyalty question, and opinions for the season overall are still generally positive with much credit being given to the return of serious water challenges. Feedback on episode 3 was mixed. Some are enjoying it and for others the disappointing nature of Shamar's influence has cast a negative funk over the show. For those that enjoyed it, the highlights centered on Laura, Sherri, Corrine, Malcolm and Andrea's choices. The finding of the remaining OPII, pre-emptive attack on Corrine, handling of Shamar, and management of the votes provided ample topics for strategic speculation. It is not clear yet if the fans can save themselves from self destruction, but most of you seem to think their utter destruction is imminent. The family visit episodes are always charged with emotions and we certainly got a double dose of those this week. You had a lot to say about that aspect of the game, and talk of the impact that Justice made was front and center. The featured religious moments prompted several comments, but certainly lots of us were happy to see it toned down from the over the top productions from seasons past. The predictions you offered up pivot on Abi, and it will be interesting to see her role in all of this play out in episode 13. For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Nineteen fans shared their thoughts on episode 12 and predictions for what we'll see next. We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great Listener Feedback show. How many shows that you watch have ever prompted you to want to write a song about them? How many of the shows that you watch cause you to get so anxious at the outcome that your heart starts racing or cause you to end up yelling at the T.V.? Survivor does that for lots of us, and it was great to hear your stories and predictions based on your experience watching episode 11 this week. Special thanks to EMP for sharing his awesome "O Penner" tribute song. Today must be reverse day. Carter is a dark horse to win and responsible for masterminding reward and individual immunity challenges? You feel sympathy for Abi and are mad at Denise because she's a bully? Skupin is playing smarter than Penner? You guys had some surprising revelations in the feedback show this week! We may not all be in agreement on how well each of the remaining castaways are playing and who stands the best chance to win, but we still agree that this season rocks! We are thankful that Survivor has finally provided a mostly, gimmick free season with smart people who are all trying to win. For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Twenty three fans shared their thoughts on episode 10 and predictions for what we'll see next. We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great Listener Feedback show. Artis' thankful demeanor won back a lot of us, and the returning players, Penner and Skupin, were definitely the heroes of episode 9 for most of us. Penner's savvy approach to the Reward Challenge brought high praise, evoking comparisons to challenge god Ozzy. Skupin appears to have transitioned from coat tails to strategic force by winning individual immunity and then casting the vote that turned the tables on the evil trio. Several folks were left wondering what strategic details went into Skupin's decision to flip. Quite a few are convinced that it was a plan that he and Lisa must have plotted out together. We all seem to be in agreement that we are still loving this season! For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Great Survivor episodes tend to result in great LF shows, and this was no exception. It is clear now that Jeff Kent became a very polarizing player. Many folks ended up despising him but there were also those that were surprised that they ended up liking him too. Several folks provided explanations for Penner's confusing vote for Abi. We are all thrilled with how the season is proceeding, and this episode ensured its place in Survivor history. It it great to have so many viable players working hard to win. The merge episode really delivered and prompted a lot of discussion. As a special bonus we were also treated to a couple of Survivor impressions with BrandonA channeling Russel Swan and Jody doing a version of RC's laugh that she thinks explains her early exit. Most of us were thoroughly confused by Jeff Kent's obsession with getting rid of Penner at this stage. Several folks suggested it was simply his overwhelming desire to gain control. Those of you playing JSFL have some tough choices to consider this week. This is the only chance you get to change your USB pick. From the preview this week, it looks like Penner is a cinch to win it all. You should take this opportunity to switch to him before the timer expires. The decomposition of the disastrous Matsing tribe and return of the two tribe format pleased some and disappointed others. Most of you saw this as another strong, entertaining episode. Several of RC's fans hold out hope that Malcolm will somehow rescue her from the clutches of evil Abi and Pete. Many of you believe that Denise is in a better position now too, although being outnumbered 7 to 5 does not bode well for Kalabaw. We are looking forward to seeing what unprecedented event episode 6 will bring. This edition of the Listener Feedback show was powered by Lil' Russ' incredibly delicious World Peace Cookies! You knew it was coming. There's no way Angie could utter that now famous Tribal Council response without it becoming the center piece of the LF show. She was not the only one that came out looking less like the sole survivor this week. Malcolm willingly and knowingly suffered the collateral damage. Abi's open threat put RC's security at risk. Lots of folks are worried that Penner's obsession with the HII has put him in a precarious position in his tribe, and many are just sad for Lisa. The verdict is in and you agreed that this was a good solid, first episode for the season. Now it is time to see how you did with your JABBIC predictions and weigh in on what you think of the cast now that we finally got to see them in action. Malcolm and Denise did not disappoint and scored well with many of you. RC was another standout and several of us had to admit that we misjudged Angie and Dawson. Zane's sense of humor will be missed, but it looks like we got a good cast this season.
