This week we welcome Patrick Donohue, Attorney at Law.  Patrick specializes in veteran's law, specifically VA claims.  We discuss the ins and outs of filing an initial VA claim, and also the process of upgrading a previous decision.  Patrick describes the three factors that go into a VA decision; in-service incident, current diagnosis, and the all important Nexus.  The nexus is the connection between the current condition and the in-service incident, or event.  Patrick specializes in proving the nexus, and getting veterans the compensation the deserve.  We go through the entire claims process; from completing the intent to file, to filing a claim, the official examination, and finally the VA's rating decision.  We also discuss the importance of having an attorney, or VSO, help you through this process.  The key is that it is never to late to file a claim, and the most important thing is to get the process started as soon as possible.  So if you have been icing your shoulder since taking a spill on the flight line in '04, this is the episode for you.For more information about Patrick go to https://www.patrickdonohuelaw.comOr to setup a consultation call 833-9VETLAW (833-983-8529)Patrick is also the founder of Project9Line.  Project9line's mission is to support all Veterans including but not limited to those with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, by providing venues for them to communicate their experiences and express themselves. The aircraft was named ‘Flagship District of Columbia' and was only the 12th Boeing 707 ever made. It was delivered to American Airlines in February 1959 so at the time America was taking its first steps into the void of outer space it was a mere 3 years old. It hadn't long been out of it's periodic inspection and with less than 8,000 hours on the airframe N7506A was expected to have a long and productive life ahead… a wish that would be dashed in a few short minutes.
