The group's second (seventh overall) album for Nuclear Blast pivots on many fronts. Advanced, elegant yet refreshing, A Sonication sums up past endeavors effortlessly as it gazes with purpose and conviction into the future. OBSCURA are fan-renowned and critically acclaimed for challenging and then expanding upon norms.From Retribution (2004) through A Valediction (2021), the band flourished and made significant progress in a musical genre unprepared for a creative shot of German invention. A Sonication spearheads OBSCURA into a new era of extreme metal.Guitarist/vocalist Steffen Kummerer founded Obscura in 2002. Early on, he set out to improve, redefine, and push forward. Under his self-label creation, the Bavarian released debut album Retribution (2004), followed by heavy touring throughout Europe. Word quickly spread that a brand-new band from the south of Germany was on the rise. Buzz lead to a deal with U.S.-based Relapse Records. The first record out was Cosmogenesis. In Europe, Metal Hammer Germany awarded the album 6/7 while in the U.S. Cosmogenesis hit the Billboard charts at #71. The cross-continental praise and fevered momentum landed OBSCURA on high-profile tours in Europe, North America, and Japan.When follow-up Omnivium arrived in 2011, they upped their chart success, received more accolades from publications like Terrorizer, Rock Hard, and Decibel and had another massive round-world tour cycle, while enhancing and making progress on their clever brutality. OBSCURA further developed their sound on Akróasis (2016). Moored by jaw-dropping tracks like Sermon of the Seven Suns, Ode to the Sun, and the title track, Akróasis elevated OBSCURA to the highest levels of international renown.OBSCURA's most significant accomplishment was, however, just around the corner. The final part of a tetralogy, Diluvium (2018), fiercely pursued OBSCURA's multi-album transformation into musical innovators and metal powerhouses. Music videos for the title track, Emergent Evolution and Mortification of the Vulgar Sun, in concert with a substantial interest in virtuosic, forward-thinking metal, posited OBSCURA in the good graces (yet again) of the worldwide press in addition to rocketing up, for the very first time, the official album charts in Germany. The Germans also topped out at #3 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart with Diluvium.A turning point in the career of the Germans manifested with the first release for the biggest independent metal label on the planet, Nuclear Blast Records. A Valediction granted the band worldwide success, topping their previous albums in a heartbeat, and saw the band climbing higher chart positions worldwide. Nassim Haramein was born in 1962 in Geneva, Switzerland. Haramein's father was a scholar at the University of Geneva completing a thesis under the guidance of the notable Jean Piaget, considered one of the fathers of child psychology. Although offered a position at the prestigious Piaget Institute, his father choose to accept a position at the child psychology department of the University of Montreal becoming the director of the orthopedagogy department. As a result, Nassim Haramein grew up in the Canadian environment and wilderness most of his childhood leading to an early successful career in the ski and mountaineering industry affording him a significant amount of time to observe and ponder the mechanics of the natural world. Starting in the early 1980's, Haramein developed a significant interest in sciences and philosophy, specifically in physics and the nature of the material world. This led him to a deep and dedicated self-study of both the foundation of general relativity and quantum theory. After some ten years of intensive study and exploration, Haramein started lecturing in various contexts both in Canada and the USA. This resulted in a first physics paper published in 2004 with co-author, prominent physicist, Dr. Elizabeth Rauscher "The Origin of Spin": a consideration of torque and Coriolis forces in Einstein's field equations and grand unification theory. Eventually Haramein published a seminal paper entitled “The Schwarzschild Proton” which described the proton as having equivalence energy and force structure to a mini-black hole due to quantum vacuum fluctuations. With the event of the holographic principle in physics, Haramein eventually published a series of papers describing the source of mass and the confining forces of subatomic particles being related to quantum vacuum fluctuations in a formalism dubbed the holographic mass solution. This peer-reviewed paper entitled “Quantum Gravity and the Holographic Mass”, published in 2013, employed a generalized holographic principle, relating the proton's charge radius and mass, and predicting a radius differing from the Standard Model by 4%. This proton radius was later validated through experiments at the Paul Scherrer Institute and is now the official CODATA value. From 2013 to present, Haramein publishes multiple papers addressing the nature of the electron and the so called missing mass issue in cosmology as well as a first paper on biophysics relating the structure of spacetime to the biological organizations of the brain entitled “The Unified Space Memory Network: from Cosmogenesis to Consciousness”. In September 2023, Haramein et al. pre-published a paper entitled “The Origin of Mass and Nature of Gravity” detailing the correlation functions related to the dynamic of the quantum vacuum and demonstrating that the mass and confining forces are the result of a screening mechanism of the density of the vacuum at the Planck scale. This initial paper is the first in a series that set the foundation for the unification of forces and physical constants which will follow.

Brian Swimme is an evolutionary cosmologist whose latest book, Cosmogenesis, is autobiographical, but is also an attempt to tell the story of the universe as science knows it, placing human beings inside the story. Brian believes that, properly told, the story is awe-inspiring, beautiful and unifying, and potentially a foundation for a better world. In The Secret DoctrineThe Stanzas of Dzyan are, according to Helena Petrovna Blavatsky part of the Book of Dzyan of Tibetan origin. The Stanzas form the basis for The Secret Doctrine, one of the foundational works of the theosophical movement written by Mme. Blavatsky.   The Stanzas and its commentaries were originally written in the sacred language of Senzar, which is unknown to modern Anthropology:    This first installment of the esoteric doctrines is based upon Stanzas, which are the records of a people unknown to ethnology; it is claimed that they are written in a tongue absent from the nomenclature of languages and dialects with which philology is acquainted; they are said to emanate from a source (Occultism) repudiated by science; and, finally, they are offered through an agency, incessantly discredited before the world by all those who hate unwelcome truths, or have some special hobby of their own to defend. Therefore, the rejection of these teachings may be expected, and must be accepted beforehand. No one styling himself a "scholar," in whatever department of exact science, will be permitted to regard these teachings seriously.[1] Helena Petrovna Blavatsky Mme. Blavatsky refers to Sanskrit, Tibetan, and Chinese translations of commentaries:    The Stanzas which form the thesis of every section are given throughout in their modern translated version, as it would be worse than useless to make the subject still more difficult by introducing the archaic phraseology of the original, with its puzzling style and words. Extracts are given from the Chinese Thibetan and Sanskrit translations of the original Senzar Commentaries and Glosses on the Book of DZYAN —these being now rendered for the first time into a European language. It is almost unnecessary to state that only portions of the seven Stanzas are here given. Were they published complete they would remain incomprehensible to all save the few higher occultists. Arkham Noir és un dels exponents d'aquests nous jocs per jugar en solitari. Una aposta valenta de l'editorial cordovesa Ludonova, que ha aprofitat l'alliberament dels drets de les obres de l'escriptor H.P. Lovecraft per treure un joc basat en el seu potent imaginari. Però el que realment més m'impacta d'Arkham Noir és la persona que hi ha darrere de tot plegat: Yves Tourigny. Un autor de jocs canadenc poc conegut però molt original en tots els seus dissenys: Expedition: Northwest Passage (joc aparegut el 2010 d'exploració i col·locació de rajoletes amb un tema fascinant per casar-ho amb aquesta mecànica), Blueprints (joc de daus sortit l'any 2013 on se'ns proposa construir gratacels amb daus de diferents colors que representen diferents materials) i Cosmogenesis (sortit el mateix any que Arkham Noir i per la mateixa editorial estatal, potser és el joc amb el tema més ambiciós que mai he vist: crear-nos un sistema solar). Però si Tourigny ja m'atrapa com a autor de jocs, l'enamorament és total en saber que és ell mateix qui ha fet els dibuixos d'Arkham Noir i Cosmogenesis! És un gran il·lustrador com es pot veure en la seva pàgina web personal. Si Ludonova li ofereix confiança per demostrar el talent que té com a autor i dibuixant... jo seguiré desfent-me en elogis per aquest binomi. Per cert, espero en candeletes l'edició en castellà dels altres dos casos per col·leccionistes que van sortir únicament en anglès. Si no els aconsegueixo crec que perdré "punts de cordura"!!!
