I have a confession. I did not listen to God's plan for me. In 2022, I ignored God's plan for me. I had just published my book and was meditating when I felt the Holy Spirit say, "Create a program for women and their daughters to help them navigate anxiety." I didn't hear this command audibly; I felt it in my spirit. And I thought, okay, that sounds cool, but I won't do it. Despite having written a best-selling book about anxiety, having a doctorate in pharmacy, and being in the throes of raising three kids who have experienced anxiety, I doubted I had the expertise. Fast-forward to January 2025, and bam! God woke me up and has been peeling back all the layers of my heart and soul like an onion. Here's where I am today and what it means for the podcast, my business, and you. God's plan for me is coming to fruition. Let me start by saying that this has not been easy. It's taken much time, energy, and mental capacity. But here I am, and I feel God leading each step I take. He has shown me a lot, opened my eyes, and awakened me from resistance and disobedience. So, of course, this season has been difficult. Opportunities I had not been expecting. In 2024, Molly Claire hired me as a business consultant to help her with SEO, her podcast, and online visibility. I worked with her through two successful launches, and towards the end of the year, she proposed that we continue to work together and that I join her master coach training. No was my initial response. Not because I didn't love working with her, but because I wasn't convinced I needed training to become a coach. After all, I already had a master certification as a Christian life coach that I wasn't using. After praying about it, I felt God leading me to it. In the back of my mind, I thought, well, maybe I need parenting and trauma training as I expand my book series. It couldn't hurt, anyway. So I agreed and highly recommend her program for any coach who wants to expand on their knowledge of coaching. If you reach out to Molly, tell her I sent you her way. But that's not all! As I learned from Molly and her other instructors, I realized I wanted to learn more about the nervous system and the brain. We all want security. That's why we chase after savings, investments, and careful planning—trying to protect ourselves from life's uncertainties. But even the best financial plan can't prevent every hardship. What if true security isn't found in what we have—but in something far more reliable? Welcome to The Daily, where we go through the Bible verse by verse, chapter by chapter, every single day. Today, we're looking at Ecclesiastes 7:11-14: Wisdom is good with an inheritance, an advantage to those who see the sun. For the protection of wisdom is like the protection of money, and the advantage of knowledge is that wisdom preserves the life of him who has it. Consider the work of God: who can make straight what he has made crooked? In the day of prosperity be joyful, and in the day of adversity consider: God has made the one as well as the other, so that man may not find out anything that will be after him. — Ecclesiastes 7:11-14 Solomon gives us a fascinating comparison—wisdom is like money. Both offer protection. But here's the key difference: money can run out, lose value, or fail when we need it most. Wisdom, on the other hand, preserves life. True wisdom gives us an advantage—not by removing challenges, but by helping us navigate both prosperity and adversity. It teaches us to rejoice when things go well but also to stop and reflect when they don't. And ultimately, wisdom points us back to the sovereignty of God—reminding us that some things only He can control. Life is unpredictable. We go through highs and lows, blessings and hardships, and sometimes, we scramble to make sense of it all. But wisdom teaches us to trust the One who holds both prosperity and adversity in His hands. Instead of resisting or resenting the tough seasons, we can rest in the fact that God is at work—even in what seems “crooked” to us. Wisdom doesn't promise an easy road. But it does help us walk with faith, knowing that our security isn't in wealth, success, or even our best plans—it's in God's unshakable control. In this episode, we kick off the Israelites' slow descent into spiritual chaos. At first, Judah is on a winning streak, taking down the Canaanites. But, surprise! They hit a snag with those pesky "chariots of iron"—a little roadblock that keeps them from finishing the job. God's got a plan, but the Israelites, being the rebellious lot they are, decide it's fine to make peace treaties with the very people God told them to drive out. And so begins their spiral into idolatry, with Canaanite gods and practices slipping in like unwanted houseguests. By the end of it all, the Israelites don't just worship Yahweh—they've got a side hustle with the Canaanite gods. Spoiler alert: It doesn't end well.
