Greg is the founder of Sanctuary. A place of refuge and community in down town Toronto. I know Greg because he has come to Australia to teach and share his story with Arrow leadership. A great quality of this man is his courage to be honest and vulnerable and as he shares his story in this podcast, you cannot help but be warmed to the humble way of Jesus that has captured and guided his life.

Welcome to the Juras-Sick Park-Cast podcast, the Jurassic Park podcast about Michael Crichton's 1990 novel Jurassic Park, and also not about that, too. Find the episode webpage at: Episode 27 - The Tour In this episode, my terrific guest and palaeoartist Douglas Henderson joins to chat with me about: The Cretaceous rock formations of Montana, landscape painting, artists chronicling their world, starting out in Montana, capturing landscapes in art, adapting paleontology into art, Yellowstone, drawing dinosaurs, not drawing grass, meeting and working with Dr. Jack Horner, maiasaura, Robert Bakker, Greg Paul, Time Machine2: Search for Dinosaurs, Dr. Alan Grant, Victory at Sea, taking creative license, Prehistoric Beasts, illustrations, Phil Tippett, working for Hollywood, that mural in Jurassic Park, The Stephen and Sylvia Czerkas exhibit in Hollywood that inspired Crichton?, Snakewater, Choteau, pronouncing Choteau, and more! Plus dinosaur news about: A new Cretaceous thyreophoran from Patagonia supports a South American lineage of armoured dinosaurs Ecomorphospace occupation of large herbivorous dinosaurs from Late Jurassic through to Late Cretaceous time in North America Featuring the music of Snale https://snalerock.bandcamp.com/releases Intro: Centipede. Outro: Supergroovy. The Text: This week's text is The Tour, spanning from pages 134 - 137. Synopsis: Amidst arguments and drama between Malcolm and Gennaro, the tour begins as the consultants and kids climb into the automated Toyota Land Cruisers and begin their park tour. They visit the Hypsilophodon Highlands, seeing the hypsilophodons and othnielia in their paddock. Discussions surround: Marketing, Japan, People of Visible Minorities, Automation, Feminism, Child of the 80s, The Tour, Dinosaurs, Timeline, and the Island Layout. Corrections: Apparently I've been pronouncing Choteau like some francophone, when it's almost pronounced like "Shadow." I stand corrected. Side effects: May cause you to bring preconceptions of humidity to a piece of artwork, unprovoked! Find it on iTunes, on Spotify (click here!) or on Podbean (click here). Thank you! The Jura-Sick Park-cast is a part of the Spring Chickens banner of amateur intellectual properties including the Spring Chickens funny pages, Tomb of the Undead graphic novel, the Second Lapse graphic novelettes, The Infantry, and the worst of it all, the King St. Capers. Greg Paul is the author of several books like God In The Alley and The Twenty-Piece Shuffle, and he has worked as a homeless advocate and direct service provider for many years in one of the most desirable cities in North America: Toronto, Canada. In this episode we discuss the failure of our elected leaders to prioritize the most vulnerable and how Jesus calls us to walk with and not just give to the financially disadvantaged people all around us.
How would your life be different if you expressed your law for your own life and property? What benefits would you reap if you harmonized your law with the creator's law to bring forth peace and remedy to all controversy? Can you imagine your sense of empowerment in holding and enforcing your rights at law as one of mankind? Our very special guest, Greg Paul has proved these principles in his own experience, and blazed the trail for all with courage follow. Greg walked away from a successful career as a housing developer, cancelled every direct debit and standing order, and quit using money altogether. He lived over a year without using any money whatsoever, and another 6 years without exchanging his energy for money in any way. Greg challenged everything he felt to be wrong with the system, both in and out of the UK court system. He took on power and water companies, banks for mortgage fraud, and reclaimed abandoned homes for the homeless. He had countless encounters with the local police force, and proved time and time again that it is impossible to convict a man without his consent, where he hasn't actually harmed anyone. Greg is the co-founder of the New Earth Project, the International Tribunal for Natural Justice and other initiatives which sought to restore truth and justice to the world. A primary understanding gleaned from these earlier projects was how any initiative which empowered collectives rather than the individual man/woman were destined to become hives of that which they sought to eradicate. For nine years he went on a journey in search of the knowledge of EVERY law there is – to discover the full depth of the framework of principles and laws that govern all life; the laws of the soul; the laws of love; the true law of attraction and how the matrix actually works; He since created The Sovereigns Way, where he shares knowledge of true law and how a man or woman can express their own law and rights forth into the world; the essence of which is how to remove the controversy from one's life to be truly free. In this episode, Alec talks with Greg Paul, co-creator of the course, Law for Mankind, about taking control of your own choices and overcoming deep-rooted fears by living a life of sovereignty through the common law of love. Please join Greg's FREE Common Law Q&A this Wednesday May 25th at 11AM PST! https://thesovereignsway.com/law-for-mankind-open-q-a-special-may-2022/?link=19641 From HFFH Director, Alec Zeck: Do you really need to fight for your freedom? Or is it something that you already have and you simply need to know how to express it? We've come to understand that the former will lead you down a never-ending path of seeking and the latter is more than likely the truth. Freedom is something you already have, you've just been conditioned, propagandized and led to believe that you don't. So how do we go about expressing the freedom that is inherent to our BEING? I consider Jon and Greg‘s course, Law for Mankind, to be the most important material I've come across in the last 2 1/2 years https://thesovereignsway.com/?link=19641 Jon Little and Greg Paul, the men who developed the course, are hosting a live, open-to-all Q&A on Wednesday the 25th of May at 11AM PST. I highly, highly recommend signing up to give you a sense of what their course is about. You want to be able to hold those who commit trespasses against you— especially in the COVID era— accountable for their actions, right? You want to be able to navigate the legal system while asserting your rights, right? You want to be able to avoid controversy, seek remedy and handle things outside of court, right? And, most importantly, you want to know how to be free, both internally and externally, right? I cannot stress enough the importance of the material offered by Greg Paul and Jon Little at The Sovereign's Way. This course is worth ALL of the bangs for ALL of the bucks. But don't take it from me, sign up for the free Q&A here and find out for yourself! https://thesovereignsway.com/law-for-mankind-open-q-a-special-may-2022/?link=19641 If you've been educated, informed and enriched by this podcast and would like to help support the fight for health freedom, please visit: https://healthfreedomforhumanity.org/donate

Sanctuary Toronto is at the forefront of street-level outreach in Toronto. Throughout the pandemic, they have faced incredible challenges, one of which is the dissolving and fragmented sense of community on the streets. With indoor spaces closed, subway benches roped off, park encampments destroyed, you wonder if the homeless have any spaces in which they could welcome you. Hospitality assumes that you have a space or a community to invite people into. And of course, they exist, but when the urgent and acute emergencies of street life dominate such a community, you don't have the extra space or margin to cultivate community. You got to stop the bleeding. You cut the chit-chat and get straight to the point and meet the need. Given the aftermath and ongoing struggles of the pandemic, communities like Sanctuary Toronto are presented with limited options to sustain the primacy of community in their practice. When key community members are literally dying in high numbers before you, it's hard to keep up with the ideals of a relationship-driven ministry. This is the first part of an interview I had with Greg Paul, where we begin discussing the oscillation that occurs between being a community or an agency in this season of ministry.
In the fifteenth episode of the LITC podcast, Niels, Natee and Marc tackle some controversial subjects. We start with the end of the world, and things go downhill from there. Today's palaeoart subject is the inimitable and insufferable genius of Konstantin Flyorov, and Natee interviews the wonderful Levi Hastings. Did we really have to choose this month to be talking about Russian palaeoart? Which dinosaur can bite your hand off? Are Natee and Levi kindred spirits? What does Niels mean when he calls someone "a character"? And can we get one of Bex Groom's new Dearc plushies, pretty please? The episode was recorded before Greg Paul's most recent paper came out, so expect no tyrannosaur three-ways. Show Notes at Chasmosaurs.com

Marc interviews Friend Of The Blog Steve White about his upcoming compendium of Mesozoic Art, his new, gruesome alphabet book, and of course his legendary work for Dinosaurs! Magazine and the wilderness years that followed. In the news, Niels and Natee desperately try to give the ornithischians some love while the prima donna theropods soak up all the attention. In the June/July issue of Free Inquiry, today's guest Greg Paul makes the case that a loving God cannot possibly exist next to all the suffering and death, children have had to endure throughout human history. How to Stop Enabling (0:00:00) Service brings joy to not only the recipient but also the server. It feels good when we go out of our way to do something for another person, especially for our own kids. However, there can come a point when our service harms more than it helps. Rather than giving someone the boost they need to be successful, we become enablers of self-destructive behaviors which negatively affects both ourselves and the person we want to help. Joining us on the show is Sharon Martin, a psychotherapist and author, here to discuss enabling and what we can do to stop it. Self-Talk (0:19:58) If you're the kind of person who processes your thoughts best out loud, you could wind up having long conversations with yourself. Some bystanders might look at you funny during these conversations. But what these people don't know, is that talking with yourself might have some real benefits. Joining us on the show is Judy van Raalte, professor of psychology, to discuss how talking to yourself can actually be a useful psychological tool. The Paper Therapist (0:34:44) You open up your journal and you read the last three entries: one from 2017, the next written in 2018, and the last one from about a year ago. Each one includes some phrase about how this is the year you're finally going to write in your journal every day. We all know journaling is a good idea, but often we lack the motivation to do it. Maybe we just don't know why it is such a good idea and how it can help us. Bryan Collins, author of “Yes, You Can Write” and avid journal writer, joins us to talk about the benefits he's seen from journaling and how it has shaped his writing abilities. Women's Suffrage (0:50:35) Have you ever heard of Seraph Young? This Friday isn't just Valentine's day—it's also the 150th anniversary of the first vote ever placed by a woman, Seraph Young. Beyond people like Susan B Anthony, there were women working towards female suffrage across the nation—women that were strong and diverse--and their stories are rarely told. Joining us to help us not just tell history but tell HER-story as well as talk about the importance of women leadership and women's suffrage is Neylan McBaine, author and women's suffragist expert. Balancing Life, Kids and Work (1:05:38) Organizing and balancing daily life between work, school and extracurricular activities for families can be a struggle. Add to that wanting to make sure that your family is eating healthy with fresh ingredients, and without wasting, can add an even more complex layer to an already busy life. Husband to actress Lindsay Price, father to sons Hudson and Emerson; owner of two top LA restaurants, a 2019 recipient of a Michelin star; star of the forthcoming Field Trip with Curtis Stone, cookbook author and philanthropist through his #Commit2One campaign, award-winning chef Curtis Stone believes that meals made with fresh ingredients, and enjoyed together, are key to bringing balance to busy schedules. Financial Benefits to Decluttering (1:13:28) We've all heard the benefits of clearing out junk and making room for things that truly make us happy, but did you know that decluttering our homes and lives can help us financially? Jen Smith from Modern Frugality joins us to share how our wallets can benefit from a little tidying up. Mt. Everest (1:27:12) Can you imagine climbing 29,000 feet to the top of Mt. Everest? Few people can do this because it takes such intense mental and physical preparation, skill, and the right gear. That's what makes Greg Paul's story so amazing. On May 13, 2016, at the age of 61, Greg became the first person in history to summit Mt Everest with two artificial knees. But this wasn't the first time he tried to climb the tallest mountain in the world. He faced many setbacks and disappointments in the years leading up to his accomplishment. So, we invited him on the show to talk about his experience conquering Mt. Everest and how he was able to persevere despite adversity.

Religion is often viewed as a dirty word—even in Christian circles. But if you consider the root of the word religion, you'll see that it's a much more noble concept than it's been made out to be. Greg Paul is a founding pastor at Sanctuary in Toronto, and the author of Resurrecting Religion. Greg argues that much of what we consider religion really isn't religion at all, and reminds us of the pure religion that God calls us to in his Word—which is much more about community than it is about a "personal relationship."
Greg Paul and David Peck talk about his weapons of love, bad, crazy, vicious religion, belief, and the politics of fear, vulnerability, oppression, exclusion and the enormous problem of faith. Greg Paul is a pastor and member, as well as the founder, of the Sanctuary community in Toronto. Sanctuary, a community in which people who are wealthy and people who are poor live, work and share their experiences and resources on a daily basis, makes a priority of welcoming and caring for some of the most hurting and excluded people in Canada’s largest city, including people struggling with addiction, mental illness, prostitution, and homelessness. Greg is the author of the recently released Resurrecting Religion and several other award-winning books: Simply Open; Close Enough to Hear God Breathe; The Twenty-Piece Shuffle; and God In The Alley. He is the father of four children, and married to Maggie, who has three children of her own. For more information please head here: www.sanctuarytoronto Image Copyright: Greg Paul. Religion seems to have a bad reputation in today’s society. Greg Paul, the founding pastor of Sanctuary Toronto and author of the book Resurrecting Religion: Finding Our Way Back to the Good News, admits that there is a lot of bad religion out there and that’s causing people to avoid it.
