The latest episode of Plastic Surgery Untold breaks down what surgeons really mean by the term gummy bear implant. These are highly cohesive gel implants designed to reduce rippling, hold their shape, and still feel soft and natural—earning their nickname because the gel sticks together like a gummy bear candy. What sets them apart is the balance of structure and softness. Today's implants offer projection and fullness while staying flexible, making them an especially valuable option for patients who've lost breast volume after major weight changes, including those experiencing “Ozempic breast.” • Highly cohesive gel minimizes rippling • Form-stable design adds shape and projection • Softer feel for a natural look and touch Every manufacturer has slightly different versions, so the right choice depends on each patient's anatomy and goals. These advances give surgeons more freedom to tailor breast enhancement for truly natural results. Catch the full conversation now on Plastic Surgery Untold, streaming on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, iHeart, Pandora, and YouTube.

Philip Andrew Armstrong is a decorated combat veteran, elite-level medic, program manager, and resilience-driven father of four. Raised in the woods by hippies and unable to read until the age of 14, his early life was unconventional, marked by hardship, self-reliance, and grit. Those experiences became the bedrock for a path of resilience that carried him through combat, service on some of the world's most elite special operations teams, and ultimately, earning a master's degree from Harvard, proving that where you begin doesn't define how far you can go.Philip began his military journey as a U.S. Air Force Pararescueman (PJ) with the 23rd Special Tactics Squadron. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal with Valor and the Purple Heart for his actions under fire in Afghanistan. He earned additional valor recognition while serving as a civilian contractor with various agencies, deploying five more times to Afghanistan and once to Libya in support of counter-terrorism operations. In 2018, Philip sustained a leg injury from an AK-47 ricochet during an overseas deployment. He officially retired from contracting in 2019 to focus on recovery, his family, and building a purpose-driven life beyond the battlefield.Today, Philip serves as a medical and operational program manager, co-owner of a real estate brokerage in Florida, and co-founder of Ambassadors of World Wildlife, a nonprofit delivering medical and conservation support in remote, high-risk environments. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Purdue University Global and a Master of Liberal Arts in Sustainability from Harvard Extension School. He is a board-certified Critical Care Flight Paramedic and has completed some of the most grueling and advanced tactical training in U.S. Special Operations. He's also a triathlete and a licensed private pilot and paraglider pilot.Philip lives in Florida with his wife—a former F-15 Strike Eagle backseater with two combat deployments—and their four young children. Together, they are embarking on the journey of homeschooling, with a focus on cultivating resilience, leadership, and adaptability in their family. Through social media, Philip shares raw, honest reflections on post-traumatic growth, high-performance living, mental health, and the challenges and triumphs of modern fatherhood.---------Follow Philip on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/operator.drama.llama/--------Timestamps:

Submission guidelines can be found at http://www.TallTaleTV.com   ---- About Tall Tale TV ---- Hi there! My name is Chris Herron and I'm an audiobook narrator. In 2015, I suffered from poor Type 1 diabetes control which lead me to become legally blind for almost a year. The doctors didn't give me much hope, predicting an 80% chance that I would never see again. But I refused to give up and changed my lifestyle drastically. Through sheer willpower (and an amazing eye surgeon) I beat the odds and regained my vision. During that difficult time, I couldn't read or write, which was devastating as they had always been a source of comfort for me since childhood. However, my wife took me to the local library where she read out the titles of audiobooks to me. I selected some of my favorite books, such as the Disc World series, Name of the Wind, Harry Potter, and more, and the audiobooks brought these stories to life in a way I had never experienced before. They helped me through the darkest period of my life and I fell in love with audiobooks. Once I regained my vision, I decided to pursue a career as an audiobook narrator instead of a writer. That's why I created Tall Tale TV, to support aspiring authors in the writing communities that I had grown to love before my ordeal. My goal was to help them promote their work by providing a promotional audio short story that showcases their writing skills to readers. They say the strongest form of advertising is word of mouth, so I offer a platform for readers to share these videos and help spread the word about these talented writers. Please consider sharing these stories with your friends and family to support these amazing authors. So when Bush’s asked Josh to write them a commercial jingle, he took it a step further and composed a semi-autographical baked-bean power ballad! He tells host Rachel Belle the whole story. Josh learned to cook during the pandemic and developed a soft spot for ugly, misshapen farm produce. So Seattle chef Becky Selengut joins the show to talk about her cookbook Misunderstood Vegetables. Becky wrote it after countless encounters with folks at farmers markets and the grocery store who didn’t know what to do with produce like rutabaga, celery root and burdock. Sour Patch Kids were the result of paying attention to the industry and the wants and delights of the world at large. And delivering what the people wanted. Dave Young: Welcome to the Empire Builders Podcast, teaching business owners the not-so-secret techniques that took famous businesses from mom and pop to major brands. Stephen Semple is a marketing consultant, story collector, and storyteller. I'm Stephen's sidekick and business partner, Dave Young. Before we get into today's episode, a word from our sponsor, which is, well, it's us, but we're highlighting ads we've written and produced for our clients. So, here's one of those. [Waulkie Feet Ad] Dave Young: Welcome to Empire Builders Podcast. Dave Young here, along with Stephen Semple. All Stephen told me for this episode is that he's excited about doing it because it's got a Canadian tie-in, but he didn't whisper the name of the company or anything into my ear as we counted down. Stephen Semple: I forgot to. Dave Young: Yeah. Stephen Semple: Oh, I forgot to. Dave Young: He just stood there looking at me. Stephen Semple: I'll tell you now, Sour Patch Kids. You know the candy? Dave Young: Sour Patch Kids. Oh, gosh. Are they the origin of all the little sour candies that are out now? Stephen Semple: It's always hard to say if they're the exact origin, but they were certainly one of the first ones that went big, for sure. Dave Young: And the candy was after most of my candy-eating days. So let's dive in. Stephen Semple: So you're trying to tell me you eat no candy now? None? Dave Young: Well, that's what the doctor says should be happening. But as a child, I'm just too old to devour a lot of Sour Patch Kids, I think. Tell me when this started. Stephen Semple: So the Sour Patch Kids started basically in the early 1970s, is kind of when they came out. It was a Canadian company, but the other thing is it didn't, first of all, start as Sour Patch Kids. It was actually first called Mars Men. And in 1985, they renamed it Sour Patch. Dave Young: Okay. I was adulting by then. Where did this start? Wait, Mars Men? Stephen Semple: Mars Men. Dave Young: Yeah, that's not a good name. Stephen Semple: No. So today, it's part of a big conglomerate, it's part of the Mondelēz Group, and it's estimated that there's about $248 million worth of Sour Patch Kids sold every year. So that's a lot of little kids. And it was started by a little Canadian company. There was a guy by the name of Frank Galatolie who was working at Jaret International, and he was admiring the American candy revolution, and he was the sales and marketing manager for Jaret. And what Jaret did was they were an importer of food that foreign transplants would like. So they would go out and they would find some sort of food that people from India would like and bring it in or from Poland and they would bring it in. So basically, they really specialized in this whole idea of finding foods that foreign transplants would like. Dave Young: Interesting. I like that idea. Stephen Semple: And he wanted to do a twist on gummy candy. So in 1920, Hans Riegel, in Germany, made the first gummy, and that was like a gummy bear. And they were really popular in Europe, but they weren't super popular here. And he didn't want to do a traditional sweet candy, and Halloween was really growing candy, and candy could now be found in different places, and all of this other stuff going on. And he also started to notice that there was an emergence of a different type of candy, like the Atomic Fireball came out and sour Lemonheads came out. So he was noticing that there was this desire for stuff that was not just sweet, and they were really the first to do this whole idea of sour and sweet. So they combined two acids, so it would be super sour and that super sour would drop off and then would come back as being sweet.

The hosts reveal their perfectionist tendencies – from drawing border lines to ensure precision to their frustration watching more talented artists effortlessly outshine them during school years. This nostalgia trip leads to a thoughtful discussion about how these simple childhood activities have transformed into popular adult stress-relief tools. When the conversation shifts to impersonations, the hosts analyze what separates good impersonators from great ones. Sharing personal encounters with comedians like Kat Williams and experiences at comedy clubs around Phoenix, they debate who deserves the crown for best celebrity impression artist. The genuine enthusiasm in their voices makes you feel like you're sitting with friends, trading stories about memorable performances and unexpected opening acts who stole the show. The episode reaches its most animated point during a hypothetical scenario about opposite-sex roommates and the inevitable question: can men and women live together without romantic complications? Each host offers a different perspective on maintaining boundaries, reading social cues, and navigating potential attraction – from the practical "it's a business arrangement" approach to the candid admission that certain situations are designed to blur the lines. The debate reveals as much about each person's dating philosophy as it does about modern relationship dynamics.Whiskey preferences become a surprising window into social status as Crown Royal sparks a spirited debate about liquor hierarchies. From accessible brands to allocated bottles that "rich people" enjoy, the hosts playfully navigate the complex world of premium spirits. Their conversation transitions naturally to athletics, comparing track stars to NFL speedsters and analyzing why raw speed doesn't always translate between sports – a fascinating examination of how different types of athletic performance require specialized skills beyond simple velocity.Did you enjoy this dive into nostalgia, relationships, and friendly debates? Prioritizing long-term fitness over short-term pleasures is the key to achieving your goals. Fitness can feel good, just adjust your time scale. Feel Good Fitness: Prioritizing Long-Term Fitness over Short-Term Pleasures Are you tired of starting over every Monday? Do you find yourself constantly battling between instant gratification and your long-term fitness goals? You're not alone! In this episode, we're diving deep into the psychology of prioritizing long-term fitness over short-term pleasures, and how to escape the gummy bear trap. We've all been there: the siren call of the donut, the allure of skipping a workout, the "I deserve this" mentality that derails our progress. It's easy to fall into the trap of doing what we want right now, but what happens when those "right now" choices add up? Six months down the line, are you closer to or further from the body and health you truly desire? This episode explores the crucial concept of the time domain in fitness. We often think about our goals in terms of what we want immediately, neglecting the bigger picture. We'll help you dissect your true desires, peeling back the layers of "I want a 6-pack" or "I want to weigh X" to uncover the deeper "I don't wants" – the feelings of bloat, guilt, low energy, and lack of capability that drive your long-term vision. How to Prioritize Long-Term Fitness over Short-Term Pleasures The Gummy Bear Trap: What it is and how it sabotages your fitness goals. We'll explain how focusing on short-term pleasures can lead to long-term dissatisfaction. Identifying Your True "I Wants": It's more than just aesthetics. We'll guide you through a process of discovering the deeper motivations behind your fitness goals – the feelings of health, strength, confidence, and well-being you're truly seeking. Mastering the Time Domain: Learn how to shift your mindset from immediate gratification to long-term vision. We'll explore practical strategies for aligning your actions with your goals. The Power of "Peeling Back": Discover how to analyze your goals and understand the underlying "I don't wants" that are driving them. The MED (Minimum Effective Dose) for Long-Term Success: We'll discuss how you don't need to go to extremes to see results. Identify the key changes that will have the biggest impact on your fitness journey. Honing Your "Feel Good" Skills: Learn to recognize and appreciate the positive feelings associated with healthy behaviors. It's not just about white-knuckle discipline; it's about enjoying the process. The Importance of Self-Awareness: Pay attention to how your body feels after certain actions. Develop a deeper understanding of how your choices impact your well-being. Playing with the Time Domain: Experiment with different approaches and find what works best for you. Fitness is a journey, not a race. Key Takeaways: Prioritizing long-term fitness over short-term pleasures requires a shift in mindset and a deep understanding of your true goals. It's not about deprivation; it's about making conscious choices that align with your vision. Small, consistent changes can lead to significant results over time. Self-awareness and the ability to recognize how you feel are crucial for long-term success. Amanda Prowse and Penny Dommett nattering around the kitchen table, chatting about all things random. Are we sitting comfortably... here we go!  We start with a giggle - shock horror! And get straight into the weather - of course we do ! We talk about the lingering after effects of Christmas... Penny still has Christmas cake lurking in the kitchen! We lose it talking about our house guests and the joy of nightlights and candles... Mandy had a fright in the night and then swallowed some Deep Heat (not recommended!) - and Penny sounds like Aunt Josephine from A Series of Unfortunate Events - she's scared of everything!!!! How we laugh. Mandy had her own unfortunate incident in the night with a bowl of gummy bears - don't ask! Feeding the birds - what's best to give them? Penny's roof squirrel is back! We have a little insight into Penny's beautiful zoned garden and her bird life...  How many coats is it okay to own - Mandy has one, just one - whereas Penny's cloakroom looks like a rack at Go Outdoors!!!! Did you know many local libraries have a collect a coat scheme - check out to see if yours does - it's brilliant! We talk about the general brilliance of libraries... visit yours! We go large on outdoor picnics - what a treat on a cold day to have soup in a field ! And discuss the joy of a grazing board! Did you ever have a hot Bovril after swimming when you were at school? Ah... memories! We find out that Penny's dad had a governess - I knew she was posh! So, if you fancy it, pull up a chair and join us for a delightfully irreverent chit chat about life and all its random tangents - bring a cuppa. Cake optional...

In this episode of Geek Freaks, Frank is joined by Kyle and Scott to dive into the latest announcements from New York Comic-Con 2024, including Marvel's big reveal of Rise of Emperor Doom and updates on DC's Creature Commandos. The episode also features a review of the highly anticipated Silent Hill 2 Remake, with Kyle sharing his in-depth thoughts on the game's pacing, atmosphere, and more. Plus, hear their thoughts on other exciting reveals, like the upcoming Wolfman trailer and the return of Daredevil: Born Again. Timestamps and Topics: 00:00:00 - Intro and Welcome 00:00:20 - Rebooting Forgotten 80s/90s Cartoons: Space Ghost, MASK, Gummy Bears 00:03:34 - Mike Flanagan's New Carrie Series 00:05:24 - NYCC Announcements: Marvel's Rise of Emperor Doom 00:07:20 - Marvel's Wolfman Trailer Discussion 00:08:44 - Spider-Man 2 News and DLC Update 00:12:06 - DC's Creature Commandos and The Future of DCU 00:19:19 - Daredevil: Born Again Release Date and Expectations 00:27:07 - Silent Hill 2 Remake Review: Kyle's Full Breakdown 00:35:22 - Network News: Outlast Podcast Survivor Discussion, Challenge Accepted, and More Key Takeaways: Marvel's Rise of Emperor Doom is set to be a game-changer, exploring complex political themes akin to Civil War. Kyle praises Silent Hill 2 Remake for its faithful recreation but notes the pacing issues that come with an expanded open-world environment. Practical effects are making a strong comeback with the Wolfman reboot, emphasizing old-school horror. DC's small-screen successes may pave the way for more cinematic triumphs, with Creature Commandos and James Gunn leading the charge. Daredevil: Born Again is highly anticipated for its grounded storytelling, bringing back familiar faces like Vincent D'Onofrio and Jon Bernthal. Quotes: "I love how MASK was like G.I. Joe meets Transformers, with the added twist of powerful masks. It's such a classic that deserves a reboot!" – Kyle "The Silent Hill 2 Remake captured the same eerie atmosphere, but some pacing issues made it feel unnecessarily drawn out at times." – Kyle "James Gunn is polishing the next era of DC, and I think that's the right move after the rocky cinematic past." – Frank Call to Action: If you enjoyed this episode, don't forget to subscribe and leave a review!
