Mizzou football's New Year's Six Bowl hopes are alive. We recap the Tigers' 33-31 win over Florida including late-game heroics by Brady Cook, Luther Burden caps off a phenomenal game with a huge catch on the final drive, Cody Schrader had another big day on the ground, Brett Norfleet continues to establish himself as the tight end of the future, Mizzou has two touchdowns taken away and Theo Wease steps up when needed. We also talk about the ups and downs on defense including the linebackers getting burned by big plays, the Tigers getting to the quarterback and a huge fumble recovery. We break down the Tigers' woeful punting performance and praise Harrison Mevis after his game-winning kick.
Mizzou fell short against the "No. 2" team in the country Saturday as Georgia knocked off the Tigers 30-21. We recap the game including Mizzou's defensive front getting to Carson Beck early, a huge day on the ground for Cody Schrader and some solid runs by Brady Cook. Luther Burden got off to an explosive start before picking up an injury and was slowed by Georgia's DBs in the second half. We discuss some penalties and miscues but an otherwise strong performance by Mizzou's O-Line. We talk about Dominic Lovett scoring against his former team, some odd refereeing, Harrison Mevis becoming Mizzou's all-time leading scorer and a still hopeful outlook on the rest of the season.
It was good, bad and flat-out ugly at times for Mizzou and the Tigers were unable to pull out a win against LSU. We break down what went well in Mizzou's 49-39 loss including another explosive performance on offense, Luther Burden did his thing, Cody Schrader had a nice performance and WE GOT A BRETT NORFLEET TD as Mizzou's younger wideouts made key plays. We also discuss Brady Cook's performance after he had another solid game, but snapped his pass attempts without an INT streak at 366 after a pair of picks. We also talked about what went wrong for Mizzou's run defense as LSU QB Jayden Daniels and RB Logan Diggs tore the Tigers up & WR Malik Nabers had another huge game. We discussed the strange "disconcerting signals" penalties and key mistakes by Mizzou including a missed FG by Harrison Mevis, a brutal snap infraction penalty by Connor Tollison while the Tigers were driving for the win, Eli Drinkwitz going for it on 4th & 32, Johnny Walker Jr. ejected for unsportsmanlike conduct and how Mizzou can bounce back next with another tough opponent in Kentucky next week.
Max Olsan and Brock Beirman recap an entertaining Week 3 of College Football. They react to Harrison Mevis's 61-yard game-winning field goal against Kansas State. They also discuss who is the better QB right now: Joe Milton or Spencer Rattler. As always, they will give out their Games of the Week picks for a slate of games for Week 4.
Matt and Brad chat with Chris Roseman of the St. Louis Sports Commission about the Zou to the Lou series, and we hear from new Mizzou Athletics Hall-of-Famer Justin Gage. Later, the guys break down the big football win over K-State, look ahead to the Memphis game in St. Louis, and run down a successful week for many Tiger teams.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Harrison Mevis' SEC record-breaking 61-yard field goal against Kansas State came just a yard shy of breaking the all-time Mizzou record. Tom Whelihan, who kicked a 62-yard field goal against Colorado in 1986, joined the Big Show on Wednesday to give his perspective on Mevis' game-winner last Saturday.
Sept. 20th - The Big Show boys ponder if the Mizzou offense can keep chugging this weekend against Memphis. Former Mizzou kicker Tom Whelihan joins the program to talk Harrison Mevis and the art of kicking. Plus an under the bussing to a football organization running around with its hair on fire for multiple reasons.
The gang eats a heaping plate of crow as Harrison Mevis bangs home a 61-yard SEC record breaking walk-off kick to defeat K-State and renew hopes of Mizzou fans everywhere. Unfortunately, I'm growing more pessimistic about Trevon Brazile possibly returning. With so many legendary coaches retiring and aging, there's a big opportunity to fill those voids; why not Dennis Gates and Mizzou? Plus, Harrison Mevis needs to show one thing to secure an NFL future.***Follow Locked On Mizzou for FREE, and never miss an episode:
