Episode 241 features Bright Kelly from Philadelphia, PA. Currently releasing music under his solo moniker, he is also the frontman of the band called The Great Enough, which gained success opening for Imagine Dragons and other big names. Bright is a hardworking songwriter, and I appreciate his lyrics for their creativity and bluntness. He has one best all-time lyrics I've ever heard from any guest on this show, in calling Keith Richards a sorcerer in ‘Jesus Was A Socialist.' So he's earned my respect for that alone. Beyond his lyricism, he appears to be an extremely positive and amicable person to work with. I believe his attitude will continue to serve him well, and I am now a fan of his music, which I would describe as Imagine Dragons meets a street-wise version of the Goo Goo Dolls. I featured two of his songs, and if you enjoy them, you can find them wherever you stream music. During our conversation, we delved into the backstage drama of opening for 20,000 people, the state of the music industry, the importance of supporting other artists, and we may have talked some trash about some venues (just kidding). Episode 191 features my guests The Brown Goose from Tallahassee Florida. They are a 5 piece rock outfit whose latest album is called “This Is The Way." Coast Arcade is an emerging Indie Pop Rock band from Tāmaki Makaurau, New Zealand. They describe their sound as Indie Pop Rock with subtle punk and surf twists. This combination of genres crafts their energetic and fun summer sound. Formed in high school in early 2021, Coast Arcade are already regulars in the NZ music scene. Peter Bjorn and John are a Swedish indie pop/rock band, formed in Stockholm in 1999 and named after the first names of the band's members: Peter Morén (vocals, guitar and harmonica), Björn Yttling (bass guitar, keyboards and vocals) and John Eriksson, known in his solo work as Hortlax Cobra (drums, percussion and vocals). Yttling also worked as producer for the band's first four albums.They are best known for the 2006 single "Young Folks", which featured Victoria Bergsman, formerly of The Concretes, and was a top 20 hit in the UK Singles Chart, as well as being featured in football video game FIFA 08, MLB 2k13, the singing game Lips, as the school project in the film Bandslam, as part of the soundtrack of hit sitcom  How I Met Your Mother, as the opening track in the pilot episode of Gossip Girl and the theme tune to British Television adverts for Homebase store and Air New Zealand "Safety Safari" surfing video. It was also named NME's second-best track of 2006, beaten by "Over and Over" by Hot Chip.In Australia it was voted number 16 in the annual Triple J Hottest 100 for 2006. Matt/ a.k.a Monroe (member of Brandon Flowers Band/The Killers, support for Justin Timberlake) has written and produced the song/music video “U OK.” Monroe is an Indie Pop/Rock band from New York City. Matt Berman's musical accomplishments span from the studio to the stage. He is a musician and composer based in New York City. Matt's desire for film scoring began while studying saxophone at The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music. His mindful and astute ear can be heard within this body of work with Monroe through his writing (both musically and lyrically), performances and production quality. Monroe has opened for Justin Timberlake on his Man Of The Woods tour and Aaron Carter on his Love tour in 2019.

Jacqueline Auguste-  Jacqueline Auguste: ​Across The Board is an award-winning Canadian rock band from Toronto, Ontario. Formed in 2013, Across The Board quickly gained popularity with their YouTube cover series Pick Up and Play (now with over 500 videos on YouTube), imprinting their unique and innovative musical style and videography on both contemporary and classic rock songs while featuring other local artists as guests. Across The Board includes founding members Jacqueline Auguste (lead vocals/lead guitar) and Andy Ramjatten (guitar/percussion), with supporting members Martin Heller (keyboards), Ryan Sousa (drums), Ben Healey (guitar), Tasha Henry and Shezelle Weekes (backing vocals). Del & The Wave started as a dream for something more -- to achieve what other people always wished they could, but couldn't for the reasons life provides. So they sold their stuff and bought a crappy white van, thus the beginning the journey of a lifetime. Since then they've played across the Midwest, bringing their tight harmonies and folk roots to the Indie Pop Rock scene with accessible, yet deep & meaningful lyrical themes....topped off by a brotherhood hell-bent on speaking in as many horrible accents as possible. Today I am speaking with Del & The Wave from Columbus, OH. During our conversation we talk about: What inspired the band to form Reasons the band up rooted from Connecticut to move to Ohio The steps the band has taken to grow as a group and as individuals I loved hearing about the process of moving states away and finding a city they wanted to settle in. I could relate to moving for the purpose of growing as a musician. We get into that during our conversation and as we talked we got to know each others reasons for being so invested in music. I hope to bring Del & The Wave back to Dayton soon. Join us this week as we welcome the Indie Pop/Rock band, Night Lights. With members from Mexico, Japan, California, and Norway, Night Lights brings together an eclectic assortment of indie, rock, and soul influenced sounds in an effort to make people dance and feel feelings. The now LA based band met in 2012 while attending school in Boston, and has since discovered a balance between profound lyrics, hooky melodies, danceable music, and intriguing harmonic progressions.
