Jack, Kate and Charlie set out into the jungle to find the cockpit of the airplane so they can send out a distress signal using the plane's transceiver. They also find the pilot, who survived the crash and informs them that the plane had been steered more than a thousand miles off course before it crashed, and thus any rescuers would be looking in the wrong place. The pilot is soon killed by a mysterious unseen "monster." A flashback shows Jack on the plane. Pilot part 2 Kate, Sayid, Sawyer, Charlie, Shannon and Boone head out to take the transceiver inland in an attempt to reach higher ground and get a better signal. Along the way they are attacked by a charging polar bear, which Sawyer shoots and kills. They are unable to send a signal with the transceiver due to the presence of another (stronger) signal, a distress call (translated by Shannon) sent by a French woman that has been playing over and over for approximately sixteen years. Back at the beach, a federal marshal wakes up during his operation and asks Jack about Kate, who, in a flashback, is escorted by the marshal on the plane. In another flashback, Charlie is shown to have smuggled a small bag of heroin onto the plane. In season one reviews of such classics of Gilligan's Island, Get Smart and the Golden Girls will be review. As well as dramas such as Lost, The Practice and the Sopranos. The show is hosted by Kinte.

The 14-episode series, created by Jeffrey Lieber and Charlie McDonnell, is set "15 minutes into the future," a timeline that places sophisticated artificial intelligence alongside Aisha and her high school classmates. (You can probably guess where this is going). Futuristic setting notwithstanding, there are clear parallels to Hardwicke's most celebrated films including "Thirteen" and her cult favorite 2008 adaptation of "Twilight," the bestseller by Stephenie Meyer. Less familiar is the format of "Don't Look Deeper" - Quibi episodes clock in at under 10 minutes - but Hardwicke welcomed the challenge. In an interview with The Washington Post, the director talked about why she signed on to direct the show, the legacy of her films and how it was to work with the "strong and vulnerable" Howard, who stunned Sundance audiences two years ago in the experimental drama "Madeline's Madeline."

Co-creator of Lost… creator of Miami Medical… writer of Tuck Everlasting… showrunner of Necessary Roughness… what more do we need to say? You're sure to love this week's interview with feature & TV writer Jeffrey Lieber! One day in 1986, after blowing up a glass beaker in a lab in high school, Jeffrey Lieber's science teacher, Dr. Nagoi, turned to him and said, “Jeffrey… you be an actor… you be a writer… maybe have a family… but please, dear God, don't be a chemist.” And it was those words that launched a journey that has ended up with Mr. Lieber becoming a screenwriter, showrunner, blogger, father and husband. Every day, while pursuing his passions, Mr. Lieber takes a moment to stop and thank Dr. Nagoi for his sage advice. In our first video interview from a backyard, Jeffrey has many humorous anecdotes about his efforts to secure an agent, writing Tuck Everlasting, developing Lost, creating Miami Medical, showrunning Necessary Roughness, and his path between all these projects. He also has great advice about breaking in, and how to get noticed. Follow Jeffrey on Twitter: @JeffLieber Buy Gray's book for only $4.99!
As part of our special coverage of Austin Film Festival's 26th year, Les chats with writer Jeff Lieber about working his relationship with 'Lost', his career in television, and more. Check it out!

We have to go back! In 2004 the world of television was in need of a game changer. Along came Lost. Lost is the American drama series full of a whole lot of mystery, which premiered on the ABC on September 22, 2004, running for six seasons until May 23, 2010, comprising a total of 121 episodes. Created by Jeffrey Lieber, J. J Abrams, and Damon Lindelof, with Carlton Cuse and Lindelof serving as showrunners and head writers, Lost is a show that blended character driven drama with elements of supernatural and science fiction. Following the survivors of a commercial plane crash, Oceanic Airlines 815 on a mysterious tropical island somewhere in the South Pacific Ocean, Lost’s story is told in a heavily serialized manner, with episodes typically featuring a primary storyline set on the island, augmented by flashbacks, and later flash-forward sequences (as well as a flash-sideways concept in season six), providing additional insight into the involved characters. As the series progresses, Lost evolves from a show about a group of castaways to a show with a rich and expansive mythology, with mysteries to uncover such as The Monster, The Hatch, The Numbers, The Others, The Freighter People, The Dharma Initiative, Jacob, and so much more. There was no way we could squeeze everything into an acceptable podcast length, so we bring you the first of two parts. We look at the ensemble of characters and focus on the first three seasons in Part One of our Lost Rewind & Review.

We have to go back !!
