Coy LaSone is a comedian, a producer and a show creater. what inspires him most when making his audience laugh, is that his wittiness is a gift from God. Sinbad, Chris Tucker, and Mark Lowry and are his predecessors. Coy's comedic expressions are taken from simple everyday living; and everyday living is how Coy 's talent was discovered. As a native New Yorker, Coy began making people laugh while riding the bus. Coy believed, if he could make people laugh through everyday encounters, he could possibly make people laugh on stage. Coy proceeded with his mission to do just that, pursue his passion for comedy professionally and with great excellence. Coy LaSone's professional career began by doing stand up comedy at countless church events; however, he did not limit himself to the gospel sector. He started captivating audiences on numerous college campuses from UCLA to Howard University in Washington D.C. It didn't take long for his talent to be nationally known. Coy was awarded first place by a panel of judges in the Chosen Competition, in his region which he was given the opportunity to display his talent in New York City. As a result, Coy was a runner up in the International Boston Comedy Festival where he was chosen above 200 International comedians. Coy's uncanny ability to make people laugh is unbelievable, and his comic timing is unstoppable. His audience is very diverse (anyone that has a gut to bust). His bright eyes, deep smile and natural wit are an automatic magnet that makes an everlasting first impression.

Raising a child in this brave new world of social media, preferred pronouns, and enough consumable media to last a thousand lifetimes, exposes them very early in life to influences that threaten the foundational truths of faith and family.Gone are the days of managing daily television consumption and the latest music release that might contain a suggestive lyric or two. Parents trying to raise their children to be moral, upstanding citizens today, are being hurtled through a blender of wokeness, gender ideology, and immorality at an alarming rate. For the Christian parent, or any parent of moral decency for that matter, what can be done about it? Quite simply, it is imperative that we expose our children early to the foundational truths in the Bible.Animator Butch Hartman believes it is vital to pour Scripture into our kids and believes the best way to reach them with the Gospel message is through the use of animation. And Hartman knows a thing or two about animation. As the creator of Nickelodeon's most successful animated series ever, he is now focusing on making as much Christian content for children and families as he can. Hartman and his wife Julieann recently launched the 40-episode cartoon series “The Garden” which also has an app and companion Bible that includes illustrations of the characters from the series. The Hartmans join us on the Crossmap Podcast to talk about why Butch made the jump to focusing primarily on creating faith-based content. Listen as they share what went into making “The Garden Series” and how their hope is that it will make a lasting impact on children for generations to come.Learn more about The Garden SeriesLinks to Crossmap Crossmap Website Crossmap Facebook

Saluton! Estas mi Tyson Saner, and I welcome you to this episode of Succotash which happens to be #310. I will be your host this week. Last week, Executive Producer, Show Creator, my co-host, and your every-other-show-host Marc Hershon brought you a quartet of soundcast clips from the soundcasts known as Big Facts, No Cap, CoDependent, Penn's Sunday School, and Penny For Your Thoughts. It's a fun show and I urge you to check it out at your earliest convenience. As with all our shows, including this one — eventually —you can find them on pretty much every podcast platform. The most common examples include Apple & Google Podcasts, Stitcher, Amazon Music, Audible.com, iHeart Radio, YouTube, Soundcloud, Podbay, and Podchaser. You can also find the episode by going to our homesite, which is SuccotashShow.com. But right now you are listening to THIS week's show which, as earlier stated is #310, and coming up for you within it are clips from the soundcasts What'd You Do This Weekend?, I Hear Voices, and Kill Me Now with Judy Gold. (Hence the show's title for this week: "Question, Listen, Kill"…) And, of course, we will have a classic advertisement from our longtime FAKE sponsor "Henderson's Pants" for their Flying Jodhpurs. I know you're anxious to hear what I have in store for you so here they are… CLIPS What'd You Do This Weekend? What'd You Do This Weekend? is a hilarious podcast with cartoonist Hilary Campbell and writer Derek Boeckelmann who are obviously best friends who are also very, very funny. Every week they'll answer that age-old question: "What did you do this weekend?" With tales of New York vs LA, delivery vs. pickup, boys vs. girls, each week Hilary and Derek invite guests to get into every aspect of what it means to be alive from Friday night to Monday morning. Our clip is from their June 6th, 2022, Episode 10: What'd You Do This Weekend? with Vivian Martinez and "Tiny Margaritaville!", featuring a section of their discussion of The Bratz Movie. I Hear Voices Animated characters have befriended our imaginations since childhood, but have you ever wondered, "Who is the person behind that VOICE?" I Hear Voices is a celebration of our favorite voices in animation, video games, anime, and more! Hosted by the dynamic Kim Possible duo, Christy Carlson Romano (Even Stevens, Big Hero 6) and Will Friedle (Boy Meets World, Batman Beyond), it's your weekly dose of hilarious conversation with a dash of nostalgia. Plus, each episode features a playful segment where Christy, Will, and their guests interact with the audience and create voices for original characters! I clip fromfrom their May 6th, 2022 epi entitled "The Voice of SAMURAI JACK was in Pulp Fiction!" with guest Phil Lamarr (Samurai Jack AKA Green Lantern AKA Static Shock AKA Hermes, to name a few…) He's an absolute legendary actor on camera and in voice-over. He credits his experience in improv prepared him for transitioning into voice-over. In this clip, host Will Friedle discusses feelings of inadequacy when comparing himself to other actors… Kill Me Now with Judy Gold A weekly podcast, Kill Me Now is hosted by award-winning comedian and writer, Judy Gold. Since Judy always seems to be pissed-off about something, she thought why not interview celebrities about what makes them angry - from the extraordinary to the mundane. The snippet I've clipped is from March 14th, 2022, Epi341, and features Malcolm Nance, who just may be the most interesting man in the world. And this epoisode is just Part 1 of his convo with Judy! And here we are again at the end of another episode. I do hope you find some enjoyment within somewhere. Something that you will remember after you have left this listening space. Perhaps something that will inspire you to check out the full versions of the soundcasts you heard in this episode. Perhaps other episodes from the soundcasts you heard with different guests… or perhaps other soundcasts featuring the guest you heard… it's difficult to say. I've already got ideas of what I will be bringing you in 2 weeks, but until then, consider subscribing to us wherever you can, tune in next week for Marc Hershon's episode 311, be decent to each other, go to www.tysonsaner.com for all the other stuff I am involved in if you are interested in that…and if someone asks you if you've heard anything memorable lately won't you please pass the Succotash? — Tyson Saner

Today's episode is the second part of our ongoing conversation about obstacles that impede our spiritual journey. Don't panic if you've jumped into the series midway. You were supposed to hear this first, apparently! Today we'll talk about the fear of death. It can smother our day to day existence. If you're able to cut those tethers, or at least make peace with death, you'll be free to channel that energy elsewhere. The fear of death impedes our spiritual growth, it arrests us, handcuffing us to those base levels of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. In order to explore your connection to something more, you must feel safe, which takes cutting the tethers of fear. And because death related anxiety is prevalent in western civilization, I figured it was a good one to tackle together. The lessons are applicable to any overarching worry you have.Show Creator and Social Media Links: Art Director – Nora HotesLink to audio engineer—Aidan ConnersCurious Cat on TwitterHost, Jennifer Hotes, on TwitterResources and Materials: Many Lives, Many Masters, by Dr. Weiss on Amazon.comMidnight Gospel Wikipedia and Episode Summarieshttps://www.betterhelp.com/advice/phobias/7-steps-to-overcoming-your-fear-of-death-necrophobia-or-thanatophobia/17 Ways to Overcome Your Fear of Death and Death Anxiety by psychologist Nick Wignall

“Even after I had shows on VH1 or Nickelodeon or Comedy Central it was still like, I'm a kid from Jersey. I'm a dad who lives in the suburbs. I'm never going to have a Fox show, but you have to believe the impossible is possible.” - Dave Noll How do we continue to grow and move forward in 2021 with positivity and tenacity? These are characteristics that I work on cultivating every day. Things aren't easy right now, so we need to consciously create what we want in our lives. And, as we all know as “Onlys,” creating what's next takes time and energy. That's why I'm so excited to have Dave Noll on today's episode. An expert at embodying positivity, tenacity, and creativity, Dave has created more than 50 television series including the Chopped franchise, the game shows America Says, Punchline, Insanity, and Face The Truth, and the new podcast game Factorious. Dave and his partner Cleve Keller joined together exclusively in 2007. With 3,300 episodes under their belts, they have become one of the most successful format development teams in the world. Dave believes that in order to have these hits, you have to pitch a lot and not be afraid of rejection. Last year alone, he and his partner created 70 plus shows, pitched in over 100 meetings, wrote more than 40 show decks, and loved every minute of it. So how does he keep going and do it with joy? "So much of television is pitching that one thing and working really hard at it, but leaving all the doors open." - Dave Noll In this episode, Dave shares his “Only” story about his early years at MTV and what he calls his "Power Of The Only Love Story". We discover what Brandon Tartikoff, the former president of NBC, said to him that shaped his outlook and what Julia Roberts, Adam Sandler, and I have in common. Listen as Dave Noll shares the secret to his success, how he maintains a positive attitude, and how to stand out when pitching or creating anything. "Think of yourself as the product; what is the one thing that makes you unique?" - Dave Noll Show Notes: How to keep going How Onlys achieve their success The power of positivity Where Dave Noll got his tenacity The moment Dave knew he made it Tips for pitching television shows and more The One-Click Method "In order to face all those disappointments, you have to keep the wonder." - Dave Noll 3 Pieces of Advice or Action Steps: Positivity Tenacity Creativity "Every hit is just one click away from another hit." - Dave Noll Brand and Resource Mentions: Jerry Weintraub Book Bob Iger-Former Disney CEO Brandon Tartikoff-NBC President Connect with Dave Noll: LinkedIn | Instagram | Twitter Thanks for being a part of this bold and powerful conversation on The Power of The Only!
