The Funk Assassin Presents: Discothèque Decadence – DD001 Welcome to Discothèque Decadence, where the rhythm is rich, the lights low, and the vibe nothing short of luxurious. The ethos is simple: To honor the golden age of disco and house, and reimagine their essence for today's dancefloors, headphones, and hearts. So slide into something silky… Step beneath the shimmer of the mirrorball… And surrender yourself to the groove. This mix is a sensual journey — A late-night glide through funk-soaked house, nu disco gold, and floor-filling modern classics. From Dave Lee's euphoric Soul Underground to Crazy P's hypnotic Human After All, each track is drenched in decadence and crafted to move both body and soul. The highlight? The spellbinding Eric Kupper remix of NYNE featuring KC & The Sunshine “In The Back Of My Cadillac” — a masterclass in modern disco alchemy that captures the spirit of classic dancefloors while sounding unmistakably now. Expect: • Glitterball funk • Velvet synths and sizzling remixes • Deep, sexy basslines • And late-night vibes that don't quit With selections from Michael Gray, Paul DaSouL, Scruscru, Andy Bach, Da Lukas and more — this is your soundtrack to after-hours glamour and dancefloor surrender. Turn it up. Feel the heat. This… is Discothèque Decadence. Instagram @discothequedecadence

This week we are looking at Daft Punk, French house EDM duo, obscured in robotic futuristic garb and robot helms. Discovery is a fun, euphoric record with well known singles and some hidden gems. Less appreciated, Human After All is a darker, less inviting project -- but one we enjoyed all the more.
On this installment of SRR we make a connection between human and robot.
On our final episode of season 3, we index the discography of Daft Punk. After their recent breakup, we wanted to cover the mysterious robots and their influential music.Don't like our rankings? On this week's NOW episode, Jake and Ryley are making up for lost time with a bumper episode catching up with big albums from Model/Actriz, Caroline Polachek, Skrillex, and more, as well as discussing the latest in music news, album anniversaries, and important single drops. Our main topic of discussion though is reflecting on what has to happen, and how it happens, for great bands to make truly terrible albums - where do things go wrong, and how do such all-time stinkers as Elton John's Victim of Love and Daft Punk's Human After All hold up today? Few albums divide opinion like Human After All, Daft Punk's third long player. Derided on release in 2005, it marked a critical and commercial low for the duo, only to be swiftly rehabilitated when Daft Punk used large segments of HAA on their Alive 2006 / 7 tour. In this special episode of Line Noise Ben Cardew, your regular host and author of Daft Punk's Discovery - The Future Unfurled, speaks to CK303, the DJ behind the brilliant Teachers mixes, about Human After All. Is it a 'bad' album? Was it a necessary one? Is it the anti-Discovery? Or did Daft Punk just mess up? Includes CK303's special Human After All / Marquee Moon mix.

IT'S ANOTHER ALBUM EPISODE! In 2005, Daft Punk released their most divisive and misunderstood record, Human After All. Thomas and Guy-Man wrote an album in just six weeks and then did not do press to hype the release, instead simply saying, "Human After All Speaks For Itself." On today's episode, we talk about the history of the record and then go track-by-track, breaking down the whole thing. BRAINWASHERRRRRRRRRR! WE HAVE T-SHIRTS! Dos sucessos musicais constam «One More Time», «Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger» ou ainda «Digital Love».
One more time!

13:48 "Discovery", 动画片《星际5555》与美国市场; 18:17 "Human After All" 的猛转折与 Coachella 的绝地逆转; 24:05 "Tron: Legacy" 与“向真人回归”; 30:45 "Random Access Memories" 的意义。

The legendary dance duo has called it quits 28 years after forming in Paris Daft Punk, the Parisian duo responsible for some of the most popular dance and pop songs ever made, have split. They broke the news with an 8-minute video titled “Epilogue,” excerpted from their 2006 film Electroma. Asked if Daft Punk were no more, their longtime publicist Kathryn Frazier confirmed the news to Pitchfork but gave no reason for the breakup. Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo formed Daft Punk in Paris in 1993, helping to define the French touch style of house music. Their debut album, 1997's Homework, was a dance music landmark, featuring classic singles “Around the World” and “Da Funk.” By the release of its follow-up, Discovery, in 2001, the duo had taken to making public appearances in the robot outfits that became their trademark. The singles “One More Time” and “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger” cemented them as global superstars. Their imprint in the popular imagination continued to deepen in subsequent years, with records including third album Human After All, live LP Alive 2007, and the Tron: Legacy soundtrack album. Twenty years into their career, Daft Punk blew up once more with “Get Lucky,” the lead single of their 2013 album Random Access Memories. The ubiquitous track sold millions of copies around the world and won two Grammys for the duo and guests Nile Rodgers and Pharrell Williams, both of whom also featured on follow-up single “Lose Yourself to Dance.” Random Access Memories earned Daft Punk a further three Grammys, including Album of the Year, and the ceremony hosted one of the last stagings of their spectacular live show. “When you know how a magic trick is done, it's so depressing,” Bangalter told Pitchfork in a 2013 Cover Story. “We focus on the illusion because giving away how it's done instantly shuts down the sense of excitement and innocence.” The year of Random Access Memories' release, Daft Punk were also credited with co-production on several tracks from Kanye West's Yeezus, including the formidable opening trio of “On Sight,” “Black Skinhead,” and “I Am a God.” They would go on to collaborate with the Weeknd on the 2016 single “Starboy”—Daft Punk's first Billboard singles chart topper—as well as a second hit, “I Feel It Coming.”Beyond the singles, their visual identity, interstellar mystique, and party-music ethos inspired generations of artists across genres. LCD Soundsystem's breakout song, “Daft Punk Is Playing at My House,” captured the duo's paradoxical embodiment of hipster cool even as their singles dominated airwaves. They released several batches of incredible holiday merch. They were sampled by R&B greats Janet Jackson and Jazmine Sullivan, parodied in Family Guy and Powerpuff Girls, and celebrated in art galleries around the world. I sat down w singer-songwriter Mario Lanza, whose singles "Tried and True", "Distracted", and "Parallax" are available on all streaming platforms. Before this he sang in the band Human After All. We drank Hamm's (obvi) as we discussed playing in barns, going to shows from a young age, Mario's songs, getting out of the service industry, and our mental health journeys. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/ben-slowey/support
Columna sobre Human After All, tercer disco del dúo Daft Punk. Funky Monks - Miércoles de 19 a 20 por www.radiomonk.com.ar
French house duo Daft Punk's place in the annals of music history has long been cemented over the course of their four studio albums. Since bursting onto the scene the pair have revolutionized contemporary electronic music through their distinct-yet-frequently transforming sound, and their experimental visual artistry. (Not even to mention their now-iconic helmets.)In the mid-00s however, their status of unquestionable artistry was briefly thrown into question with the release of their 2005 album Human After All. Audiences were taken aback by its sound, which cast aside their sample-heavy style of electro-house in favor of a blend of minimalist techno, industrial dance, and noise experimentation. Critics and fans were not immediately onboard. It's been many years later and now we're going to find out if Human After All still deserves its reputation as the misfit of Daft Punk's catalogue. Joining Lilz and Patrick is Boston-based electronic musician mynameisblueskye, for a rousing discussion on concept albums, sampling, audience reaction, and more!Local Music Feature: "Patiently Waiting" by Mynameisblueskye
This week we slip back in time to early September, for a conversation with Danny Miller, publisher of Weapons of Reason and co-founder of creative agency Human After All. The serial magazine maker speaks about the mixture of altruism and pragmatism that runs through his projects, including the Publishing Playbook, a free online resource for anyone who wants to make their own magazine, and of course Weapons of Reason, a magazine that wants to inspire positive action in its readers.
Human After All represent a creative agency with a strong and forward thinking creative identity. With its origins at university, they have evolved to become an agency commanding respect from peers, industry and students alike. Having launched Little White Lies magazine, they have gone on to create striking campaigns for the BAFTAs, Studio Canal and Everyman Cinemas, earning them a strong reputation for their work in the movie world. Their portfolio reads as a body of work that might have been compiled by a student with ambitious professional dreams. I meet Paul Willoughby, Victoria Talbot and Angus MacPherson at their London studios to discuss how they have achieved this. We talk about the balance between strong client relationships and creative freedom, the importance of continuing to create personal projects in order to stay fresh and attract exciting client work and why it's crucial to have parameters in place. http://www.humanafterall.co.uk/ - Human After All official website https://twitter.com/HumanAfterAll - Human After All on Twitter https://www.instagram.com/humanafterallstudio/ - Human After All on Instagram http://weaponsofreason.com/ Weapons of Reason Magazine Show sponsored by Illustration Ltd: http://illustrationweb.com Heart Internet - http://heartinternet.co.uk

Everyone likes Daft punk, but I've got a feeling a lot of people don't appreciate their older stuff, so I've knocked this little beauty together, imaginatively entitled 'Matt Hibbert's 'Now That's What I Call Daft Punk' 2013 MiniMix'. It's basically one big 25 minute minimix/megamix/mashup of all my favourite Daft Punk records in chronological order, so starting with Da Funk from 1996 and finishing with 2013's Get Lucky, featuring all the best stuff from their 3 studio albums, Homework, Discovery and Human After All. No remixes included either, it's all originals. Anywho, enough mind numbing chit chat, listen, download, repost, share, like, tweet, FB, comment, do what you want, i think it's decent. Tracklisting in order (not taking into account acapellas and samples, who's even arsed?): 1.Da Funk 2.Around The World 3.Burnin' 4.Revolution 909 5.Rollin N Scratchin 6.Teachers 7.Fresh 8.One More Time 9.Aerodynamic 10.Crescendolls 11.Harder Better Faster Stronger 12.Digital Love 13.Short Circuit 14.Robot Rock 15.Technologic 16.Get Lucky
