Send us a textLast month, Russell Brown announced he was stepping down as a justice of the Supreme Court of Canada. His resignation put a halt to the Canadian Judicial Council's probe of a claim of misconduct directed against Brown related to an incident in the United States. And it means there won't be a public report on the matter.Accounts of the incident differ but it has been established there was some kind of fight between Brown and a US Marine veteran at a resort in Scottsdale, Arizona. The Marine veteran, Jon Crump, alleged Brown was belligerent and harassed his female drinking companions. The Four Seasons are one of the greatest vocal groups of all time. Led by Frankie Valli, their lead singer with the distinctive falsetto voice, they had dozens of hits beginning in the early 1960s including “Sherry”, “Big Girls Don't Cry”, “Can't Take Me Eyes Off Of You”, “Dawn (Go Away)”, “Rag Doll”, “Working My Way Back To You” and many more. My guests in this episode all had important roles with The Four Season. L. Russell Brown wrote their hit song “C'mon Marianne”. Lee Shapiro was their longtime Keyboard player and the arranger for their hits “December 1963: Oh What A Night” and “Who Loves You”. Robby Robinson is the band's current Keyboard player and Musical Director for the last 46 years. And John Paiva was the band's guitarist from 1973-78. In honor of The Four Seasons my featured song is “Sherry”, their first smash hit.---------------------------------------------The Follow Your Dream Podcast:Top 1% of all podcasts with Listeners in 200 countries! For more information and other episodes of the podcast click here. Welcome to a Very Special Episode of the podcast celebrating the show's 3rd Anniversary! I started the podcast in March 2021 during the depths of the pandemic, when musicians like me couldn't play live. It was a bleak time for all of us. I needed to find a creative outlet and so I started this podcast. From the beginning it grew quickly and exponentially. It's been ranked for some time now in the Top 1% of all podcasts. I have listeners worldwide on every continent in 200 countries, and it has won several awards! My guests have included many of the world's most famous musicians and other creatives.Last year to celebrate the 2nd Anniversary I played excerpts from several guest interviews. But for this 3rd Anniversary show I wanted to do something different - and fun. So here's what I decided. After each interview I ask my guest to record a short promo for the podcast. I use these promos at the beginning of other guest interviews. Everyone does their promo a little differently in their own style. After all, they're artists! So I thought it would be fun to put together a montage of promos featuring a slew of my guests. The entire list is below.I want to thank my guests and my listeners for the success of the podcast. As I like to say - Keep On Rockin'! Featured Guests:"Cousin Brucie" Morrow, John Lodge, Ted Nugent, Al Kooper, Gary Puckett, Suzi Quatro, Tony Orlando, William Lee Golden, Richie Furay, Peter Noone, Timothy B.
