One thing I've really appreciated about you over the years has been obviously, you know, you're one of the most intelligent marketers out there, but something about understanding human behavior, positioning and dynamics. So for example, however many years ago, maybe you remember what year it was, you did the first state of the internet address. You did it in an office that looked pretty fancified, you sitting at the big desk and what people didn't realize, and I know you explained this later...

The Madames are on a season break, so they stole a Tempad from the TVA to bring you their full commentary series on Season 1 of Daredevil. As far as they're concerned, it's one of the few good reasons to head back to 2020. And it's a great refresher just in case Matt Murdock pops up in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Matt Murdock's former mentor, Stick, returns to Hell's Kitchen after abandoning Matt 20 years before. They sing Kumbaya around a fire & discuss their feelings. Just kidding. Stick manipulates Matt into pursuing his own agenda, which involves the only man Wilson Fisk fears - or so Stick claims. Against Matt's wishes, Stick kills a special child. This leads to an epic fight in which the two destroy Matt's apartment & Matt orders Stick out of New York. Meanwhile, Karen Page & Ben Urich are still pursuing the Union Allied story. And after saving Karen from a goon attack, Foggy is finally made a member of their secret crusader club. The episode concludes with Matt drowning in a pool of guilt, analyzing his relationship with the man he both owes & resents so much. Daredevil is the launch point for the Netflix universe of Marvel shows. It stars Charlie Cox, Elden Henson, Deborah Ann Woll, Vincent D'onofrio, Toby Leonard Moore, Vondie Curtis-Hall, Ayelet Zurer, Bob Gunton, & Rosario Dawson. We ran a little late this week but we are back and to talk about the post WWE shows after Summerslam. What did Raw do with Karrion Kross, NXT was bland and cool Kyle isn't cool, Becky Lynch is a heal and we don't believe this is a good idea and Bianca Belair needs a edge. Corbin is now happy Corbin but do we like it? AEW this week was not as good but CM Punk let us know that good things are coming! How do we feel about the ne NXT logo or should we worry more about the product after. NWA had it's first all women's PPV and we had a return and retirement. All this and more so come join us for great wrestling talk with No Gimmicks Needed
This week we discuss Bryan Danielson heading to AEW. We also talk ‘Yes' chants at AEW DYNAMITE and how long “a little bit more patient” really is. Is Bryan Danielson truly destined for AEW? We also discuss the teases of Adam Cole, the former Bullet Club member and significant other of Dr. Britt Baker, and Windham Rotunda, formerly Bray Wyatt at the WWE, heading to AEW. NXT has been rebranded and what are the fears of how this will affect one of the better pro wrestling shows available to fans. Finally, with SummerSlam behind us and two big returns to the WWE and SmackDown, what is next for the WWE? More precisely, we discuss what comes of the return of Becky Lynch and Brock Lesnar. Becky Lynch, who defeated Bianca Belair for the SmackDown Women's Championship, and Lesnar who approached Roman Reigns and took out John Cena. I am not Ahab. No huge aquatic creature has chomped off my leg. I am not Hemingway. I have never battled a marlin. But, I have always dreamed of whoppers. The post Fish Schtick – Gone Astray Podcast first appeared on Connected Traveler.
Your conspiracy-minded Mom subscribes to the tenets of QAnon, believes she's a half-human/half-alien starseed, and thinks Jim Carrey is playing Joe Biden in real life, and not just SNL. She's tough to take, and never respects the boundaries you try to set. Is there still room in your life for her? We'll try to get to the bottom of this and more here on Feedback Friday! And in case you didn't already know it, Jordan Harbinger (@JordanHarbinger) and Gabriel Mizrahi (@GabeMizrahi) banter and take your comments and questions for Feedback Friday right here every week! If you want us to answer your question, register your feedback, or tell your story on one of our upcoming weekly Feedback Friday episodes, drop us a line at friday@jordanharbinger.com. Now let's dive in! Full show notes and resources can be found here: jordanharbinger.com/529 On This Week's Feedback Friday, We Discuss: Your conspiracy-minded Mom subscribes to the tenets of QAnon, believes she's a half-human/half-alien starseed, and thinks Jim Carrey is playing Joe Biden in real life, and not just SNL. She's tough to take, and never respects the boundaries you try to set. Is there still room in your life for her? [Thanks to cult expert Steven Hassan for helping us with this one!] The closest friend you've ever had passed away earlier this year, and you've noticed yourself, against character, succumbing to overwhelming feelings of anger at unexpected moments. Does the rage from grief ever go away, or is this just who you are now? Disgruntled in your current leadership position, you've considered taking a lower stress, lower responsibility role where you don't have to hold people accountable. How do you know if you're making a wise move for your own mental health or throwing away an opportunity that will become manageable over time as you learn to adapt? You fell for your roommate. After a period of intimacy, she withdrew, citing a series of toxic relationships and a need to focus on her own self-discovery before committing to anything serious. You're trying to take this as an opportunity to work on your own issues, but the rejection still hurts. What can you do? You've recently applied for a job within your company. The thing is, a number of your contacts have applied for the same job and asked you for referrals. You don't want to damage your network by not responding at all, but it seems awkward to recommend other people for a job you want. How can you handle this delicately without sounding selfish or self-conscious? Have any questions, comments, or stories you'd like to share with us? Drop us a line at friday@jordanharbinger.com!
