Show #746 Good morning, good afternoon and good evening wherever you are in the world, welcome to EV News Daily for Sunday 12th April 2020. It’s Martyn Lee here and I go through every EV story so you don't have to. BMW 7 SERIES ELECTRIC RUMORED TO HAVE AT LEAST 650 HORSEPOWER "When BMW announced the beefiest version of the next-generation 7er will have zero emissions, it didn’t disclose any details about the power delivered by its electric motors. Now, our pals at BMWBLOG claim to be in the know about the hottest version of the fullsize luxury sedan." says Motor1: "Rumored to be called Mi7 or i7 M60, the range-topping 7 Series is said to have at least two electric motors delivering a combined output of 650+ horsepower or about 50 hp more than the M760i. The report goes on to mention the flagship 7 Series will have a large battery pack with a capacity of over 100 kWh for a range between charges of up to 400 miles (644 kilometers). It won’t be the only M Performance version as below it will reportedly sit a plug-in hybrid model tentatively called M750e with a turbocharged straight-six 3.0-liter combined with an electric motor. The electric derivatives will have some stiff competition coming from existing models such as the Porsche Taycan and Tesla Model S as well as from the upcoming Audi E-Tron GT, Jaguar XJ, and the Mercedes EQS." https://www.motor1.com/news/408983/bmw-7-series-electric-power/ InsideEVs has more info on the pack sizes: “Regarding the i7, there will apparently be (at least) two variants. One will draw juice from an 80 kWh battery pack while another will have an even bigger 120 kWh pack; this should take it up to 600 km (385 miles) on a single charge, and there’s a good change it will only be offered in the long-wheelbase model in order to actually have enough room for the pack to fit.” https://insideevs.com/news/409390/bmw-i7-rendering-all-we-know/ HOT PLUG-IN HYBRID VOLKSWAGEN T-ROC GTE "The Volkswagen T-Roc range could potentially be bolstered by a high-performance GTE version in future, should the market produce sufficient demand" says Auto Express: "When asked during a press conference call if a performance plug-in hybrid for the T-Roc would be a good fit, VW’s Project Manager for Electrified Drivetrains, Dr Kai Philipp, said: “Our MQB technology gives us the possibility to do so.”Power would come from the petrol-electric powertrain that’s widely used across the Volkswagen Group. A 1.4-litre turbocharged engine is paired with an electric motor, which is capable of producing as much as 242bhp in the new 2020 Golf. However, the GTE would be more efficient than either: the 13kWh battery should enable an electric-only range of around 40 mile." https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/hybrid-cars/352045/hot-plug-hybrid-volkswagen-t-roc-gte-cards CONSTRUCTION OF TESLA GIGAFACTORY 4 REPORTEDLY POSTPONED "After the super quick pace of work at the Tesla Gigafactory 4 (aka Giga Berlin) site in Grünheide, near Berlin in Germany, the activity now is almost frozen. Some were saying that Tesla is waiting for a permit, but the latest reports indicate that the company is revising its construction plan." says InsideEVs: "Tesla previously completed clearing the tree farm and ground leveling. The next stage would be the foundation, which seems to be postponed. Torque News reports: "We just got breaking news from Tesla Giga Berlin. Brandenburg’s public radio RBB 24 reports that Tesla has to postpone the construction of the foundation for its Gigafactory 4 in Grunheide, outside of Berlin." According to the State Environment Agency, Tesla wants to revise the approval documents on one more point: In response to criticism from local residents, the company had announced that the factory should use less water than originally planned." https://insideevs.com/news/408936/construction-gigafactory-4-postponed/ LORDSTOWN MOTORS SHOWS ENDURANCE ELECTRIC PICKUP'S IN-WHEEL MOTORS IN ACTION "Several automakers, from Ford to Tesla, are planning to launch electric pickup trucks, but startup company Lordstown Motors will have something that sets its Endurance pickup apart from the rest—in-wheel electric motors. A new video shows one of the in-wheel motors in action." says Motor Authority: "Mounting the motors inside the wheel hub frees up space, and offers the potential to more precisely control how much torque is sent to a wheel. Torque can be added or subtracted by adjusting the amount of current going to the motor, rather than using the clutch packs, differentials, or brake applications typically used to adjust torque split. Lordstown says the Endurance carries a base price of $52,500. It is accepting $1,000 refundable deposits for early build slots. In comparison, Tesla says its Cybertruck starts at $39,900. Lordstown has said it will start deliveries in the fourth quarter of 2020. Lordstown is also targeting commercial fleets, while the Cybertruck is aimed at individual retail buyers." As a result of increased supply, its lead time has been halved to 26 weeks. The longest wait is on Porsche’s first electric car, the Taycan (36 weeks), followed by the Seat Mii electric and Skoda Citigo e IV (26 weeks). But as I've got a long weekend off I'm leaving it at 80% . But in the past I've had the leaf plugged in at 100% for 3/4 days. Holidays when I've flown from the airport 30 miles away left it for two weeks at 60/70% . TBH I don't think it matters short term. Eg long weekend. But longer term week to two weeks plus I would say leave around 80% . Just my experience of 3yrs EV driving Ybe EV • 2 days ago Hi Martyn, Regarding your question of the week. I keep my Nissan Leaf connected up to my V2G charger. I have set it to charge to maximum of 95% and discharge to minimum of 25%. It tends to do one full cycle over a 24 hour period. I have been on the OVO V2G trial in the UK since July 2019 and have seen no significant battery degradation in that time. The current lockdown just means the car spends more time connected to the V2G charger and goes some small way to help smooth out the demand peaks. The best part is that I have had basically free electricity for my home and EV since the trial began :-) Chris Avram Car models may have special needs in layup. Chevy/Holden Volt Amperra will only maintain the 12 Volt battery if it is "rumning" or plugged in. Cant choose SOC so mine sits plugged in at 100% SOC = 85 % REAL. Also need to run it for 10 minutes on gas every month or so. Fabian Bonasera • 5 days ago We're keeping our 2013 Nissan LEAF at 80%. We're not sure if we should keep it plugged in all the time or not. We are still driving it 1 or 2 days a week for small trips, so we could charge just one night every week if that's better for the battery's health Victor Wood I parked up my Ioniq with about 75% charge as that’s what it was at when I last parked it. Once every couple of weeks I will go to the (remotely located garage) and change it’s parked position and leave the car on for 15 minutes to recharge the 12v battery. Tbh the 12v battery worries me more than the HV battery. Kenz300 x • 6 days ago If the car is parked for a long time leave it at 50-60% no more. Bill B Our Audi E Tron is setting @ 79 miles in the garage, here in FL USA. Probably not going anywhere for a while. Getting groceries delivered. PETER GLASS The BMW i3 manual is pretty clear. If you are leaving the car for over 3months then it should be plugged in. It has so little vampire drain that as long as it’s on reasonably high charge frankly there’s nothing really to worry about. There is no facility to set a charging limit, e.g. 80%, like a Tesla or Kona so you’d have to unplug manually at the right time if you wanted to leave it short of 100%. One important thing is, the i3 battery management has ‘passive cell balancing’ which is best done at 100% [it does happen at high charge but what level is unclear] so having the car idle is an opportunity to leave it balancing and getting a deep sleep. [The manual is equally clear about not leaving the car on low charge. What is low? Well, it won’t let you turn on the heaters while sitting waiting at a rapid charger if it’s under 12%, so clearly the BMS is unhappy there. I drove back from Poole in 2017 with only 6 or 7% left and didn’t charge it back up for over a day – I’m sure the car emailed me it was unhappy, but I can’t remember for sure…!!]. I think most EVs need to be concerned about is their 12Volt batteries and it’s worth waking up the car, switching it on for say 20mins letting the DC to DC converter do it’s work [especially if they are a few years old]. I expect the i3 manual on the 3month lay up is thinking about this issue. RAJEEV NARAYAN I’m a physician so I’m driving 80 miles a day or more! In the past however when I have left the EV for a week or so, I left the battery at about 50% under the assumption that the battery dislikes extreme states of charge or discharge. QUESTION OF THE WEEK How can the EV industry help people get driving electric as soon as this is all over? Show #740 Good morning, good afternoon and good evening wherever you are in the world, welcome to EV News Daily for Monday 6th April 2020. It’s Martyn Lee here and I go through every EV story so you don't have to. Listener correspondence: JS Davison Hi Martin, Long time listener from down under, so time to break out your (very average) Aussie accent. In case you are not aware Subaru have released a very soft Forester Hybrid in Australia with a very small battery and electric motor. You will glad to know Subaru obviously bought some technology from Toyota, as the ad on the T.V. calls it a 'self charging' hybrid. I imagine our EV hating (and oil loving) politicians will love this. Keep healthy and I look forward to many more podcasts. John from Western Australia. Registrations of Tesla vehicles have fallen for two consecutive months in China, showing the U.S. carmaker isn’t immune to the broader auto-industry slump." https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-04-07/tesla-is-nearing-debut-of-longer-range-china-made-model-3?sref=W369vOBR TESLA PROUDLY HIDES ‘OCTOVALVE’ INSIGNIA IN MODEL Y "A number of the Tesla Model Y’s secrets are now coming to the surface, as auto veteran and teardown expert Sandy Munro continues his disassembly and analysis of the all-electric crossover. Among the most noteworthy of these secrets is the vehicle’s “Octovalve,” which could very well be an upgraded version of the Model 3’s unique “Superbottle,” which serves as the heart of the all-electric sedan’s thermal management system." writes Teslarati: "Tesla appears to have provided its latest vehicle with an “Octovalve” instead. Munro is yet to tear down and analyze the Octovalve, but just like its predecessor, it seems to be the heart of the Model Y’s cooling and heating system. Interestingly enough, the use of the Octovalve instead of the Superbottle in the Model Y may be due to the all-electric crossover’s heat pump. Prior Teslas like the Model S, Model 3, and Model X have used electronic resistive heating systems, which are quick but less efficient than heat pumps." Elon tweeted on 20th March: "PCB design techniques applied to create a heat exchanger that is physically impossible by normal means. Heat pump also has a local heating loop to spool up fast & extend usable temperature range. Octavalve is pretty special too. Team did great work. No credit to me." https://www.teslarati.com/tesla-model-y-octovalve-easter-egg-teardown/ BMW TO KEEP ITS KIDNEY GRILLE ALIVE IN EV ERA "One of the most recognizable grille designs in the industry is staying put. BMW will continue to use its iconic double kidney bean grille design – large or small – even as the automaker moves toward offering more electric vehicles." according to Motor1: "The BMW Concept i4 also featured an enormous grill that made many people wonder what's in store for the rest of the BMW lineup. Many of today's electric vehicles don't have a traditional grille like you'd expect to find on a gas-powered car. EVs still require some cooling, but there's more leeway with the design." 2020 FORD MUSTANG MACH-E SUV PRICING ADJUSTED "Ford has revised its UK pricing for the forthcoming Ford Mustang Mach-E. The adjustment means that the extended-range, rear-wheel drive model now starts at just under £50,000, making it eligible for the government plug-in car grant deduction." according to CarBuyer: "The price change only applies to the long-range model, which now starts at £49,900, a slight reduction from the original list price of £50,190. The adjustment means that buyers will benefit from the government’s £3,000 plug-in car grant, which now only applies to electric cars with a starting price of under £50,000." https://www.carbuyer.co.uk/news/170717/2020-ford-mustang-mach-e-suv-pricing-adjusted TESLA IS WORKING ON SOMETHING CALLED ‘CHEETAH STANCE’ FOR THE PERFECT LAUNCH "Tesla is working on a new version of “Launch Mode” that will include something called “Cheetah stance” to involve the adaptive suspension in a launch from a standstill." says Fred at Electrek:" Last year, Tesla developed a new “Smart Adaptive Air Suspension” for Model S and Model X.Now Tesla is taking advantage of the new suspension to build a new feature around it According to Tesla hacker Green, who had access to an upcoming Tesla software update, the automaker is updating Launch Mode, which enables Tesla performance vehicles to launch at full power, for the Model S and Model X Raven. It sounds like Tesla will lower the suspension in the front, which is already required to use the current ‘Launch Mode,’ but it will leave the back higher — like a cheetah." https://electrek.co/2020/04/05/tesla-cheetah-stance-launch-mode/ NEW DACIA SPRING ELECTRIC CONFIRMED TO ARRIVE NEXT YEAR "Dacia will launch “Europe’s most affordable electric car” next year, bosses have confirmed." reports Jonathan Burn at Auto Express: "Prices are yet to be confirmed, but in order to become Europe’s cheapest EV it will have to undercut the £17,445 price tag after incentives of the entry-level Skoda Citigo e-iV. The electric hatch is a rebadged version of the Renault K-ZE that's currently available in China. Measuring up at 3.73 metres in length, it sits between the Volkswagen up! and the three-door MINI Hatch in terms of size." https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/dacia/109132/new-dacia-spring-electric-confirmed-arrive-next-year QUESTION OF THE WEEK If you’re staying at home and not driving, what condition or state of charge are you leaving your EV parked up in? Show #722 Good morning, good afternoon and good evening wherever you are in the world, welcome to EV News Daily for Tuesday 10th March 2020. It’s Martyn Lee here and I go through every EV story to save you time. Thank you to MYEV.com for helping make this show, they’ve built the first marketplace specifically for Electric Vehicles. It’s a totally free marketplace that simplifies the buying and selling process, and help you learn about EVs along the way too. CADILLAC CANCELS DEBUT OF ALL-ELECTRIC LYRIQ OVER COVID-19 CONCERNS "Cadillac has cancelled the upcoming debut of the Lyriq, an all-electric mid-sized SUV designed to be an entry point into luxury brand’s new EV lineup, over concerns about the COVID-19 outbreak." reports TechCrunch: "GM’s luxury brand had planned to reveal the Lyriq on April 2 at an event in Los Angeles. The Geneva International Motor Show was cancelled, as well as MWC in Barcelona and the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas. The GM brand said in a statement that the event was being cancelled “out of an abundance of caution.”. The Lyriq is just one in a roster of electric vehicles that GM plans to bring to market in the next two years. The automaker revealed March 4 a sweeping plan to produce and sell EVs that hinges on a new electric architecture that will support a wide range of products across all of its brands, including Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC." https://techcrunch.com/2020/03/09/cadillac-cancels-debut-of-all-electric-lyriq-over-covid-19-concerns/ MINI COOPER SE GETS 110-MILE EPA RATING "MINI just announced the final specifications for the MINI Cooper SE (aka MINI Electric), valid from March 2020. At the same time, the EPA released its range and energy consumption ratings." says InsideEVs; "We start with the EPA range rating, which is in line with previous estimates. The new specs released is energy consumption - slightly higher than in the case of BMW i3. 2020 MINI Cooper SE Hardtop 2 door EPA rating: range of 110 miles (177 km). BMW i3 is equipped with a 42.2 kWh battery, while the MINI Cooper SE only gets a 32.6 kWh pack. The motor is the same as in i3s." MINI Cooper SE (MINI Electric) specs: EPA range of 110 miles (177 km) WLTP range of 200-232 km (124-144 miles), WLTP energy consumption of 15.5-18.0 kWh/100 km 32.6 kWh (gross) and 28.9 kWh (net) battery pack (12 modules; 93,2 Ah cells) 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in 7.3 seconds, 0-60 mph (96.5 km/h) in 6.9 seconds TESLA SHARES PLUMMET "Tesla shares plummeted by 13.6% to $608 per share on Monday, dropping 6 percentage points more than the S&P for the day, as plunging oil prices and the continuing coronavirus outbreak weighed on investors." according to CNBC: "The oil price battles between Saudi Arabia and Russia could challenge Tesla’s electric vehicle and solar roof sales in markets where it remains more affordable for people to stick with fossil fuels, and where they are not incentivized to switch to renewables. Historically, when crude oil and gas prices decline, electric vehicle sales -- and solar installations -- slow down." https://www.cnbc.com/2020/03/09/tesla-stock-drops-as-cheap-oil-covid-19-challenge-electric-car-sales.html GERMAN CONSTRUCTION COMPANY ARIKON WILL BUILD TESLA GIGAFACTORY "Tesla may have plans in mind for its newest factory in the German state of Brandenburg near Berlin, but someone has to actually build the thing. That someone will be German construction company Arikon, according to German news source EFahrer. " writes Clean Technica: "When Tesla needed someone to come in and clear the trees from the construction site, Arikon answered the call, using 36 harvesters and 18 forwarders to complete the work ahead of schedule (and before any more court challenges could materialize). In the process, it created 400 nesting sites nearby. Specialists were brought in to move anthills and relocate reptiles. More than three times as many trees will be planted to offset the loss of trees at the construction site." https://cleantechnica.com/2020/03/06/german-construction-company-arikon-will-build-tesla-gigafactory-in-brandenburg/ OXFORD CITY SIGHTSEEING BUSES ARE GOING ELECTRIC "THE first electric open-top double decker bus has arrived in Oxford – helping to reduce air pollution ahead of the launch of the city's Zero Emission Zone." says local paper Oxford Mail: "The bus is the first of five open-top City Sightseeing Oxford buses, owned by the Oxford Bus Company, that are being retrofitted to electric. The bus company has made an investment of £350,000, including an investment of £80,000 to install the charging equipment for the double decker sightseeing buses, including a battery storage system to harness the energy produced by their solar panels." https://www.oxfordmail.co.uk/news/18292517.oxford-city-sightseeing-buses-going-electric/ EQC BY HOFELE IS BASED ON THE MERCEDES EQC Hofele are launching a new version of the Mercedes Benz EQC, the EQC by HOFELE and the car will come with a number of upgrades, the car was originally going to be unveiled at the cancelled Geneva Motor Show" reports Geeky GAdgets.com: "The EQC by HOFELE gets a range of styling upgrades over the standard car and it also gets some high end ‘Turbine’ wheels and more. The exterior of this EQC has unique HOFELE styling enhancements, subtle in design and detail, but they elevate the standard EQC to the premium luxury class of EV’s. Finished in the very exclusive Mercedes-Benz “Alubeam” paint, often described as “Liquid Metal”, this very expensive paint finish immediately lets us know that this EV is something very special." https://www.geeky-gadgets.com/eqc-by-hofele-is-based-on-the-mercedes-eqc-09-03-2020/ GOODYEAR RECHARGE REGENERATING-TIRE CONCEPT AIMS TO CUT WASTE "Goodyear has developed a "self-generating" design to extend the life of tires, as well as make them more adaptable to different conditions." writes Green Car Reports: "The Goodyear ReCharge tire concept features a tread that can be replenished using fluid-filled capsules. So instead of replacing the whole tire, only the tread is replaced. In a new as-you-drive approach to the idea of the retread tire, the tread compound is made from "biological material" reinforced with fibers based on spider silk, Goodyear said. The compound is completely biodegradable, according to the company. Because the tire is airless, drivers won't have to worry about maintaining pressures or fixing punctures, Goodyear noted." https://www.greencarreports.com/news/1127362_goodyear-recharge-regenerating-tire-concept-aims-to-cut-waste THE APEX AP-0 WILL BE A SURPRISINGLY LIGHTWEIGHT EV SPORTS CAR "While most electric supercars have giant batteries, big power and heavy weight figures, the Apex AP-0 will top the scales at just 1200kg. It'll be revealed this Friday" says Car Throttle: " It’s quite the achievement to build an electric car that weighs so little, as even the dinky Skoda Citigo e iV weighs a little bit more than that. You can put that skinny figure down to extensive use of carbon fibre in the chassis. There’s not much in the way of power or performance details yet, but it should be able to get close to the Apex AP-1 model revealed last year. That car used a 2.3-litre Ford EcoBoost engine out of the Focus ST and Mustang, and pushed out almost 400bhp for a 0-62mph time of just 2.5 seconds. With all the electric motor’s torque available instantly, we’d think that the electric AP-0 could match this figure.

Plus CHARLES HALL does the same and moves up to EXECUTIVE PRODUCER! Fully Charged Live mention. Telsa Model 3 Order Email Exchange from a Patreon Supporter Update on Tesla Solar+Powerwall option when ordering a Model 3. I was on the UK Model 3 configurator today, checking prices so I'm up to date. And on the final page they now present a new option for Solar + Storage: "Produce and store your own clean energy to power your home and charge your car, day and night." A BATCH OF 250 TESLA POWERWALLS ARE GOING TO THE UK "Tesla has been having a tough time ramping up its Powerwall production, but we are now starting to see more projects including a new batch of 250 Tesla Powerwalls going to the UK." says electrek, quoting Tonik Energy: "Tonik Energy announces that they are the first UK energy supplier to offer the state-of-the-art Tesla Powerwall. Following a successful pilot programme, Tonik has commenced rolling out 250 Powerwalls to homes across the UK, with installations performed by their in-house team." https://electrek.co/2019/06/04/tesla-powerwalls-going-uk/ GM, FIAT CHRYSLER ADMIT BUYING REGULATORY CREDITS "Amidst reports on Tesla’s varying stock price, sales, and competition, the news is that the electric car maker has been making good money by selling greenhouse gas credits to fellow carmakers." says ibtimes.com: "According to filings by General Motors (GM) and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) to the state of Delaware, GM's agreement with Tesla for greenhouse gas credits was inked on Feb. 25. The filings affirmed how established carmakers such as GM and Fiat Chrysler have been relying on Tesla to comply with the United States’ environmental regulations. Tesla has generated almost $2 billion in revenue from the sale of regulatory credits since 2010." https://www.ibtimes.com/tesla-rescue-gm-fiat-chrysler-admit-buying-regulatory-credits-musks-company-2797469 VW'S FIRST ELECTRIC CAR ALREADY HAS OVER 20,000 RESERVATIONS "Preorders for Volkswagen's first production EV are running ahead of schedule. That's according to VW board member Jürgen Stackmann, who tweeted on Tuesday that the German automaker now has over 20,000 "pre-bookings" for its battery-powered ID 3 small car." reports CNET: "European order books for the five-door hatchback opened one month ago, and according to Stackmann, the German automaker was hoping to reach 30,000 reservations by the time the IAA -- the Frankfurt Motor Show -- opened its doors in mid-September. While 20,000 ID 3 reservations are a drop in the bucket compared to the 400,000-plus reservations that the Tesla Model 3 claimed upon its introduction, VW's total is somewhat encouraging, especially as reservations require a 1,000-euro refundable deposit (around $1,100, £885 and AU$1,610)." https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/news/vw-id3-electric-car-reservations-ev/ 2020 SEAT MII ELECTRIC REVEALED IN PRODUCTION FORM "SEAT has confirmed it will launch an electric version of its Mii city car in the autumn of this year, marking the brand’s first foray into the zero-emission market."says Motor1.com: "Offering a provisional range of 161.5 miles (260 kilometers) on a single charge and boasting an 82-horsepower electric motor like that of the VW e-Up!, the little runabout will be imaginatively named the Mii Electric. SEAT says the new model, which is based on the gasoline-powered Mii that shares so much with the Skoda Citigo and Volkswagen Up!, will mix “dynamism, urban design, an advanced powertrain, and new levels of connectivity with affordability and low cost of ownership. 6.8-kWh battery pack. When it’s full, it has enough power to run the Mii for 161.5 miles (260 kilometers) on the new WLTP economy test, while charging to 80 percent using a 7.2 kW charger will take about four hours.”. https://www.motor1.com/news/352899/2020-seat-mii-production-version/ HYUNDAI KONA HYBRID DEBUTS IN EUROPE AS EFFICIENT, LITTLE CROSSOVER "The Hyundai Kona family grows in Europe with the introduction of the new Hybrid model to join the purely combustion-powered variant and the Electric EV. European sales start in August, and there are no pricing details yet. The company isn't yet confirming whether the Hybrid variant is coming to the United States." reports Motor1.com: "The hybrid setup uses a 1.56-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion polymer battery, and the only available gearbox is a six-speed dual-clutch transmission." https://www.motor1.com/news/352718/hyundai-kona-hybrid-debut/ ORKNEY TO BECOME UK'S FIRST 'SMART ENERGY ISLAND' "A £28.5M project is aiming to turn Orkney into the UK’s first “smart energy island”, by eliminating the use of all fossil fuels." picks up New Civil Engineer: "The ReFLEX (Responsive Flexibility) Orkney project will use new energy technology, including domestic and large-scale batteries, vehicle to grid chargers, electric buses and e-bike schemes, and an industrial-scale hydrogen fuel cell. It is hoped the project will eventually eliminate the need for fossil fuels on the island. “FlexiGrid” software is also being deployed to manage the island’s renewable energy grid and charge batteries to be installed across the island." https://www.newcivilengineer.com/latest/orkney-to-become-uks-first-smart-energy-island/10042870.article TEVVA MOTORS FUNDING DEAL 'OPENS' ELECTRIC VEHICLE MARKET "British electric truckmaker Tevva Motors has announced a landmark agreement with Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions, which “will open the way for fleets to move from fossils fuels to electric”, according to Tevva commercial director David Thackray." says CommerciaLFeet.org: "The deal, which Tevva finalised in late 2018, will, “enable fleet operators seeking a move to e-Trucks to replicate the leasing options they have long enjoyed with diesel vehicles”. Auto - Rund ums Auto.
