No one does style quite like the Italians and as the popularity of gelato spread across Europe, ice cream makers had to find a way to ship it more efficiently. Chefs in Italy created Neapolitan ice cream, which was one big block with multiple flavors. And in the 1800s when Italian immigrants in New York began shipping it over from Europe they called this treat spumoni, after their favorite molded ice cream treat from Naples. The classic flavors include chocolate, pistachio, and cherry. Though when vanilla is substituted for chocolate, it's just as delicious. On National Spumoni Day, try a new twist on an old favorite that helps you beat the Summer heat alla moda. If the term “over the hill” has you clamoring for a bottle of hair color, maybe you need some perspective. There are plenty of senior citizens who made a splash that launched their golden years into the stratosphere. Take the Long Island comedian who didn't land his lucky break until his appearance on the Ed Sullivan show at age 46. While he may have gotten “no respect” in his junior years, his appearance in Caddyshack at age 59 launched an enviable career for Rodney Dangerfield. This Little Bug Adds Billions To The Bottom Line! Welcome to August 21st, 2021 on the National Day Calendar. Today we celebrate an industrious insect and dessert Italian style. If you think the humble honey bee is just another bug, think again!  While they seem to be aimlessly buzzing from flower to flower, they're actually performing a valuable task.  It's estimated that over one third of our United States food production depends on bees pollinating crops.  Farmers spend millions of dollars renting beehives that help this process.  Without honey bees, many fruits and vegetables would disappear from our grocery stores.  And these insects contribute around 24 billion dollars to agriculture every year, which is some pretty heavy lifting for a tiny little insect. Think about that the next time you're tempted to swat one away from your drink.  On World Honey Bee Day celebrate our busy friends that are hard at work keeping us fed.    No one does style quite like the Italians. When their delicious gelato became popular across Europe, ice cream makers had to find a way to ship it.  Neapolitan ice cream was created in one big block, which seemed to do the trick.  When Italian immigrants came to New York, they brought this treat over as spumoni, named after their favorite ice cream from Naples.  This molded dessert marries chocolate, pistachio and cherry flavors, though vanilla is sometimes substituted for chocolate. Ultimo programa de Spumoni (por lo menos por ahora) y con Rocha decidimos hablar de dos de los mas grandes del cine, John Williams y Steven Spielberg, ambos culpables de nuestro amor por el cine. Escuchamos las bandas de sonido de varias de sus películas y no podemos evitar emocionarnos, y si hablamos de emocionarnos con el cine no podíamos dejar afuera a Steven Spielberg. otro martes pasó, y nos dejo un nuevo episodio de Spumoni, hablamos de todo lo que vimos, esta vez hubo estrenos y algunas viejitas. En soundtracks nos metimos con Steve Jablonsky (TMNT2, The Island, Transformers), y ahora si, la parte difícil, cuales son las películas que mas nos gustaron de Tony Scott. costo elegir solo tres, por lo menos para nosotros.

Ausente con aviso, este programa contó con Rocha, Dani y la participación especial de Fernando Guida, metieron lo que vieron, algo de música, los soundtracks de Harold Faltermeyer (Top Gun, Tango & Cash) y las mejores películas de Richard Donner, obvio que Los Goonies esta.

Este fue un programa especial, bastante enquilombado. Tuvimos como invitado a Fernando Guida, y decidimos hablar de series, sin orden. Mencionamos las que se nos venían a la mente. Muchas, no todas, y seguro faltaron esas series que pensas que son las mejores, pero esto es así. que le vamos a hacer. @noquedanombres

Cine Cine Cine, de eso hablamos. en este episodio hablamos de lo que vimos en la semana, que fue mucho, escuchamos un tema de Loco Por Mary, elegimos como compositor a James Horner, y llegamos a la conclusion que sus temas son todos parecidos, y terminamos con las películas de los Hermanos Farrelly.

Otra semana, otro episodio. no tuvimos la suerte de ver varias películas esta semana, pero siempre algo comentamos. Escuchamos un lindo tema de Paul Simon para preparar lo que venia a continuación, Mark Mothersbaugh en Bandas de sonido, y ahi nos mandamos a hablar de las películas que nos gustaron de Wes Anderson. Ojala lo disfruten !!!

No nos veíamos hace dos semana, así que teníamos muchas películas que comentar, eso dejo afuera las noticias, pero le dio pie a Hans Zimmer y Christopher Nolan. En ese episodio hablamos de demasiadas películas. Warcraft, TMNT 2, The Dark Knight, Inception, The Prestige, y muchas mas peliculas...

Una nueva semana, y un nuevo programa. Arrancamos hablando de todo lo que vimos, The Night Of, The Shallows, War Dogs y mas. Noticias del cine. En soundtrack hablamos y escuchamos a Danny Elfman, y siguiendo esa linea aprovechamos y metimos las que nos gustaron de Tim Burton. Nuevo Episodio de Spumoni Cine, y como siempre mucho cine. comentamos todo lo que vimos esta semana, un poco de noticias, se fue la gorra, The Kinks con Sunny Afternoon, las bandas de sonido de Ramin Djawadi, y hablamos de las peliculas que mas nos gustaron de Arnold Swar.. no, Scwar, tampoco, Schwarzenegger, ahi va......

Nuevo episodio de este programa donde el protagonista es el cine. En lo que vimos metimos un poco de Suicide Squad, Criminal y alguna otra. En noticias no encontramos mucho pero algo hay. El compositor elegido es James Newton Howard, y escuchamos un poco de Viven y Waterworld. En tres buenas y una mala nos metimos con Michael Mann, coincidimos con las buenas, pero no con las malas. Desde ya que los invitamos a un nuevo Spumoni, y a que nos escriban lo que quieran, aca o en @noquedannombres.

Un nuevo episodio de Spumoni, discutimos sobre lo que vimos esta ultima semana. Tiramos noticias de cine. En Soundtracks hablamos del ingles John Powell, musicalizò Face Off, Shrek, X-Men The Last Stand y la saga Bourne. Aprovechamos el estreno de Jason Bourne para hablar de Matt Damon, y confirmamos que un actor que cumple.

En el 4to episodio de Spumoni hablamos de muchas cosas, la hora nos queda corta. Esta semana vimos varias películas y las comentamos, ademas se lanzaron muchos trailers nuevos y hablamos de ellos, también hablamos de las bandas de sonido de Brian Tyler, y por ultimo metimos también un 3 por 1 de Julia Roberts. Esperemos que disfruten de este programa.

Arrancaron las vacaciones de invierno y nos agarro la melancolía. Hablamos de todo lo que vimos esta semana, En Bandas de Sonido hablamos de Michael Giacchino, quien compuso música para muchas de las películas de Pixar, Noticias del espectáculo y en el 3 x 1 hablamos de Pixar. Volvimos, con nuevo formato. Hablamos de lo que vimos, noticias de cine, Bandas de sonido y el tres por uno de Tom Cruise. Estamos muy contentos con este regreso, esperamos que ustedes lo disfruten como nosotros.

Todos tenemos un amigo que dice: "Ah no, yo cine nacional no veo", y pensamos, que gil, lo que se pierde. Es verdad que no vemos todo, pero muchas figuran entre las películas que mas nos gustaron. Varios directores y actores a quien nos gusta seguirles la carrera. Esperamos que disfruten de nuestra charla de cine.

La primera vez que no enteramos de su existencia fue con Virgen a los 40, y desde ahi buscamos todo lo que hizo. El flaco se empezó a rodear de grandes comediantes, algunos conocidos, a otros los descubrió el. Director, productor y guionista, haga lo que haga, ahi estaremos.

De joven se animo a parar una filmación del mismisimo Steven Spielberg, pero se comió una terrible cagada a pedos, ahi decidió que ademas de actuar también iba a dirigir. Hablamos de Ben Stiller, por lo menos nosotros, disfrutamos de todas las películas que dirigió y de un 80 % en donde actuó. Se destaco mucho mas por sus comedias que por sus papeles dramáticos, pero siempre garpa verlo.
