After seeing a viral Youtube Video, while at work, of a 29-year-old woman hearing her own voice for the first time, Bridget Hilton knew she wanted to recreate that joy in that video over and over again. She sent it to her friend Joe, who had done philanthropic work, cashed out her 401k, worth $5,000, from Universal Music Group, and quit. She high-fived Joe and hopped on a plane to China, without a business plan or any idea how the electronics industry worked to source products for their idea, without even considering they were going up against some of the biggest companies in the world, such as Apple and Sony.Starting out by filling her apartment's kitchen with inventory and making their own packaging from purchases at Michael's craft store, LSTN then grew to 8 figures, partnering with companies such as Delta, Google, Spotify, Wyndham, Virgin, and Amazon. Most importantly, Bridget and Joe donated over a million dollars, traveled to 36 countries, and helped over 50,000 people receive hearing aids through their charitable partner, Starkey Hearing Foundation. In this episode of Limitless, Bridget shares her journey of how she created the first social enterprise company in the electronics industry, and the experiences along the way that caused her to create The Experiential Billionaire Movement, an inspirational movement dedicated to experiencing more and regretting less. From traveling the world helping others hear for the first time, to sharing the stage with Sir Richard Branson and U.S. Presidents, to turning herself into, as she calls it “an experiential guinea pig”, Bridget has truly experienced it all, while growing an 8 figure company that delivers true impact and having a whole lot of fun along the way.IN THIS LIMITLESS PODCAST EPISODE YOU WILL LEARNHow to create a positive impact on others through your company How to strategically position your company against the big-name competitors in the market How the power of belief can potentially transform your life Why experiences are the real wealth in our livesHow patience is key in landing major partnershipsLINKS FROM THIS EPISODEJoin the waitlist for Frankly Co.: https://franklyco.com/?utm=early-accessMore Frankly Co. resources: https://franklyco.com/resources/Connect with Bridget on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/bridgethiltonFollow Bridget on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/bridgetlhilton/Visit the LSTN Sound Co. website: https://lstnsound.com/ Follow LSTN Sound Co. on Twitter: https://twitter.com/LSTN Visit the Experiential Billionaire website: https://www.experientialbillionaire.com/

Glenn Stearns, “When times are tough, you don’t stick your head in the sand”, "Undercover Billionaire" Star, Founder and CEO at Kind Lending & Author shares his story on Global Luxury Real Estate Mastermind with Michael Valdes Podcast #173 Glenn Stearns, star of "Undercover Billionaire" and CEO of Kind Lending, sat down with me to discuss some key elements that led to his amazing success from humble beginnings. He was a father at 14 years of age, and while many would have resigned to the fact that their life was over, Glenn took it as a blessing and made it work. He went on to become the largest wholesale lender in the country and is now incredibly philanthropic. More About Glenn Stearns: Glenn is known for his unrivaled track record for turning his vision and passion into reality through hard work, determination and grit. As a serial entrepreneur, Glenn is going back to his roots and is the Founder and CEO of Kind Lending, a new mortgage banker in the industry. He is creating a collaborative environment where individual input matters and having fun is mandatory. Glenn is mostly known in the mortgage industry for building Stearns Lending, LLC, a nationwide mortgage company that he established in 1989. The company became one of the largest privately held mortgage companies in the nation for many years and received many accolades including being ranked as one of the Top Workplaces in Orange County, California. The wholesale lending division became the #1 lender in America and Stearns has helped over 1,000,000 families achieve home ownership. In 2014, Blackstone purchased the majority share of Stearns Lending. In 2019, Glenn starred in the television show, Undercover Billionaire, on the Discovery channel. The show was centered around starting over again and building a business from the ground floor. The show featured the importance of team building, accountability, and perseverance. The company he built on the show, Underdog BBQ, is currently operating today in Erie, Pennsylvania, where the show took place. Glenn is also the founder of Anivive Life Science, TriVerify, TriMavin, United Housing Services, Carriage Escrow and Mortgage Services Providers Holdings. He is an investor in Indi.com and Lender Price and the largest shareholder of California-based, Infinity bank. Carriage Escrow and United Housing Services were recognized as the largest settlement service provider and largest auditor for HUD. Glenn and his wife, Mindy, are very active in the community having been honored for their dedication to community service and philanthropy with Muhammad Ali’s Parkinson’s Foundation “Couple of the Year” Award, Starkey Hearing Foundation’s “American Couple of the Year,” One OC’s “Giving is Living Award” and the Orangewood Children’s Foundation’s “Golden Heart Award.” About Michael Valdes: Michael Valdes is the newly named President of eXp Global at eXp Realty. He has the distinction of being the first Director in the United States of Latino descent. Mr. Valdes is the Chair of the AREAA Global Advisory Board and co-host of the 2020 AREAA Global Luxury Summit. Glenn Stearns was born to alcoholic parents, diagnosed dyslexic, and failed 4th grade. He fathered a child at the age of 14 and graduated high school in the bottom ten-percent of his class. While some of his friends lost their lives to drugs and alcohol, and others spent time in prison, Glenn's path intersected with mentors who gave him motivating examples of how to not meet the fate of his friends and instead take control of his destiny. He took that life-changing encouragement and ran with it. Glenn became the first person in his family to attend college and graduated with a degree in economics from Towson University. Inspired by stories of people who took risks and achieved their grandest ambitions, he then moved to California where he slept on the kitchen floor of a one-bedroom apartment that he shared with five other recent grads. While waiting tables, Glenn continued to search for new opportunities to rise above his humble beginnings. At 25, after working as a loan officer for 10 months, Glenn formed his own mortgage company Stearns Lending. By 2010, Stearns Lending reached nearly $1 billion a month in funding while experiencing record growth. Stearns not only survived the 2007 mortgage-lending crisis, it emerged as one of the top lenders in the country. Glenn attributes his resilience to putting “people before profit” and having transparent integrity in lending standards. Since 2010, Stearns Lending has funded over 150-billion dollars in loans, making the corporation America's #1 Wholesale Lender in 2013. The company has helped nearly 1,000,000 families achieve home ownership. In 2014, Blackstone purchased the majority share of Stearns Lending for an undisclosed sum. Glenn is also the founder of Anivive Life Science, Stearns Wholesale, Stearns Holdings, Stearns Ventures, Artemis Holdings, TriVerify, TriMavin, United Housing Services, Inc., and Mortgage Services Providers Holdings. He is an investor in Indi.com and Lender Price and the largest shareholder of California-based Infinity bank. In 2011, he was inducted into The Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans. This Award is given to individuals in recognition of personal and professional success despite humble and challenging beginnings, in addition to personal initiatives and accomplishments in giving back to others. In 2013, he became the youngest Member elected to the Horatio Alger Association's prestigious Board of Directors. Glenn and his wife Mindy are very active in the community having been honored for their dedication to community service and philanthropy with Muhammad Ali's Parkinson's Foundation “Couple of the Year” Award, Starkey Hearing Foundation's “American Couple of the Year,” Orange County's “Giving is Living Award” and the Orangewood Children's Foundation's “Golden Heart Award”. In this Podcast, Glenn shares his wisdom about getting out of your comfort zone and leadership, resilience and failure; his thoughts about “overnight success” stories and the boundaries between mentors and friends, as well as his definition of the American Dream. Live interview from stage: Mrs. Tani Austin has been named the Female Philanthropist of the Year and honored at the First Ladies Summit at the UN General Assembly. I was recently in Las Vegas and interviewed Mrs. Tani Austin live on stage at a conference. Mrs. Austin is the co-founder of the Starkey Hearing Foundation. Her husband, Bill Austin, is the founder of Starkey Hearing Technologies. Tani travels the world and has helped more than 1 million people receive the gift of hearing thanks to her Foundation. Mrs. Austin is as down to earth as it gets yet rubbing elbows with former presidents and folks like the Dali Lama are a regular occurrence in her world. I have a great deal of respect for her fierce honesty and willingness to roll up her sleeves and make an impact. Our conversation covers many areas and topics - if you’re wondering how to inject a little more purpose in your life - you’ll find this helpful. And if you have a live event coming up and want to do a live Why Not Now? interview on stage, keep me in mind. Follow Mrs. Austin on Twitter or visit the Starkey Hearing Foundation website: https://www.starkeyhearingfoundation.org/

Dr. Astro Teller is a computer scientist and entrepreneur who currently oversees Google[x], Google's moonshot factory. Dr. Danielle Teller is a physician specializing in intensive care and lung medicine; she has trained doctors and run research programs at Harvard University and the University of Pittsburgh. In this conversation — my first podcast with a couple — we cover a lot of my usual questions (favorite books, routines, philosophies of living, etc.) but focus on something I haven’t personally figured out: relationships. It's important to note that the Tellers are not “for” marriage but, rather, “for” the freedom to decide how to live most honestly and happily, whether as part of a couple or as a single person. Combining the rigor that has established them as leaders in their respective fields, Astro and Danielle walk me through how they think about relationships, and how they survive and thrive as two driven people. "Why would I be wound up? I'm either ready, or I'm not. Not everyone sees the world in the same way. Of course that's plainly obvious if you've ever spent time in the dungeons comment sections of the internet, but it's easy to forget that it's also true in a literal sense. Not everyone sees or hears the same way you might … and that's as true for smartphone users as for anyone else. So what kind of considerations go into buying and using today's mobile technology products when you're visually impaired? What kind of brand wars exist in the world of the blind? Are we going in the right direction with audio cues and glass screens, or were the days of tactile controls far superior? In the feature segment of today's show, we'll have special guest Aaron Linson of BlindPodcaster try to answer some of these smartphone accessibility questions, questions which don't get asked often enough in our tiny little slice of the journalistic world. And not to worry, news-hounds: before the feature, we're running down the mobile-tech world's key events of the past seven days with Chief News Editor Stephen Schenck. So whether you're here for the news of the week or the first-of-its-kind feature, welcome.
