DOLE Whip Now Has its Own Disney Day of CelebrationFun Facts About Dole WhipDole Whip is a soft-serve dairy free and gluten free frozen dessert created by the Dole Food Company in 1984. Since 2013 it has been fully vegan. It first appeared as an attraction in the Disneyland Enchanted Tiki Room. According to the official Dole website, a 2/3 cup serving of Dole Whip contains 110 calories and 25-27 carbs (depending on the flavor). Remember, the make-at-home Dole Whip recipe that Disney published in 2020 during lockdown is not the real Dole Whip recipe. More entertainment coming to Magic Kingdom Park for the 50th Anniversary CelebrationOn February 11 the new “Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade!” kicks off with nearly 30 Disney and Pixar characters, including Nick and Judy from “Zootopia,” Baloo and King Louie from “The Jungle Book,” José Carioca and Panchito from “The Three Caballeros,” plus Merida, Moana, The Incredibles, and more. It will also include the Magic Kingdom debut of Miguel from “Coco.” The fan favorite “Festival of Fantasy” parade returns to Magic Kingdom Park starting March 9 – the anniversary of the debut of the parade in 2014. It will have two shows daily.“Mickey's Magical Friendship Faire” will make its debut on the Cinderella Castle Forecourt Stage February 25. The show has been updated for the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary and will incorporate favorite scenes from “Frozen,” “Tangled,” and “The Princess and the Frog” – plus a new opening and a new finale with Mickey Mouse and all his friends in their sparkling, EARidescent fashions. Game on! This week we're drafting our Winter Olympics dream teams from the rank of world class athletes that populate our favorite Disney theme parks and movies! But first, all the week's travel news, including face masks are back in at Universal Orlando Resort, Japanese mystery flights from a vending machine, returning home with an expired passport, returning to Disney World's All Star Sports resort, and weird New Year's traditions!  Sharpen your skates and watch out for the zamboni, it's time to hit the trail with the Gold Key Adventurers Society!    In the spirit of fair play, inclusion, and equality, it's time for us to get absolutely silly. Your job today is to draft the best possible teams of athletes for a series of Olympic events. And since we prefer to spend our time with space aliens, fairytale princesses and hillbilly bears, your pool of potential team members is any character-whether human, fantastical, or animatronic, that you would find in a Disney theme park. Remember, we're doing this draft style. So once an athlete has been selected for a team, they're off the board for the rest of the game. Also, we run our drafts the way we run from snipers, in a serpentine pattern, so the person who goes last in round 1 goes first in round 2. Let's get started!
