As a little girl Suzanne wondered what life was really all about, what was beyond the stars and how she fitted in. Big questions for a little person but not surprising when at 2 years old, an early recollection and lasting memory, at this time in her very brief childhood, is prior to birth and choosing what she would look like in this life! Her Father ending his life when Suzanne was in her 20's prompted an awakening and searching for answers in all the esoteric spaces. Spending time having readings with her Mothers Astrology friend did not alter considering her self a "normal " teenager. Even an experience of having 360" vision as she drove to an astrology reading was interesting, not strange. As the energy work called her, Suzanne's sight became more and more activated and open. She explored Spiritual Response Therapy, using charts and a pendulum to find and release negative thought patterns and replace them with positive and supportive ideas. Shortly thereafter a system of channeling came through her, which she called The Art of Universal Knowing℠ -- or TAUK® for short. Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique - QHHT, found her with the teachings of Dolores Cannon which opened up a portal of service to humanity becoming a moderator of Dolores Cannon's Official Worldwide Professional Support Forum for Practitioners. Suzanne began assisting the great and humble Dolores in her classes in the United States and Australia, facilitating hundreds of QHHT® sessions. Suzanne believes our imagination and creativity are our two of the greatest gifts we come into Being with. However though-out our lives we are taught to dumb it down, become disconnected from our magic. Knowing we are here for a reason, to learn from our choices and the situations we put ourselves in, is the opportunity to empowerment and switch the timeline to living our path of highest optimal heath and optimal happiness! The tools and techniques Suzanne offers on her website are delicious keys to switching on these timelines and accessing our true potential. And then there are the tours to Egypt...next level opportunities lie here in discovering and uncovering our limitless potential. Excited for life, Suzanne embodies the spirit of the Cosmic reporter! We are so excited to share this episode with you, settle in and get comfy, it's quite a ride!

I'd look into the night sky and deeply want to know what was outside of where I could see and wondered how it all was made. In my early 20's I started to read books by Edgar Cayce and Shirley MacLain and others. I delved into the topic of past lives. I studied Reiki, and energy work. In 2008 I had a breakthrough where a teachable process of channeling came through me. It was called The Art of Universal Knowing or TAUK for short. The aspect that I loved about my process of TAUK was that it demonstrated that all answers lie within each of us if we have the desire to remember our connection. I started teaching TAUK in classes and one on one. I then developed an online class that is widely used and successful. In 2012 I took my first class with Dolores Cannon and instantly felt a homecoming in her work and the results I saw on my friends and clients. Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique (QHHT), like TAUK, provided the experience of finding where all answers are, but in a different and beautifully simple way. My QHHT practice grew, I became a moderator of Dolores Cannon's Official Worldwide Professional Support Forum for Practitioners and began assisting the great and humble Dolores in her live-in-person classes in the United States and Australia. I've facilitated hundreds of QHHT sessions and am always amazed and recharged after each session. To sit amongst the energy of a client's High Self is like sitting in a bowl of love soup! I feel I have the best job in the universe(s)! Since Dolores' passing in 2014 her daughter Julia, myself and others are dedicated to carrying on the amazing life work of Dolores. It is a thrill to share the experience of QHHT with my clients, to mentor and teach practitioners and to keep exploring the multi-dimensionality that I wondered about as a little girl. We are SUPER stoked to announce another new guest, Liam Galiano, to The Story!Liam started playing bass in a Lancaster County high school when Primus' “Tommy the Cat” inspired him to stop pretending to play clarinet and start pretending to slap bass. Luckily, thanks in large part to lessons with professor and consummate bassist Tim Wolfe, Liam learned to tastefully play any genre, at least well enough to not get fired! This has led him to a still early but successful career of session work and live performance for a huge variety of artists and genres. Not limited to his '75 Fender Jazz, Liam also plays upright bass in musicals, and six-string bass in his own music. He released a Christmas album performed exclusively on solo bass and voice, and plans to release some new original music this year. Before joining Soul Miners Union, Liam toured with Sun & Rain and shared bills with some of the top names in that scene including Perpetual Groove, Papadosio, and Tauk. While he still loves the absolutely bombastic creativity of high school idols Les Claypool and Brian Richie, Liam's biggest influences today are those bass legends who have not only chops, but also restraint. Through studying Marcus Miller, Chuck Rainey, James Jamerson, Victor Wooten, Geddy Lee, and so many others, Liam has found his own voice. As the great Ian Martin Allison says, “I have never wanted to be the star; I wanted to be the star's bass player.”Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/the-story/donations

This album included reworked versions of songs from his demo as well as new material. In 2018, Hornsby released Legend of the Unconscious Enigma as a follow up to his previous album. In contrast to his debut, he transitioned to a more organic sound without the use of synthesizers and electric guitar. He began experimenting with acoustic guitar in open tunings as well as more complex overdubs. In the Spring of 2019, Hornsby went on a solo trip to northern India. He purchased a guitar in Delhi and began writing new material in the Himalayas. When he returned to the United States, he perfected these songs and composed the remainder of the material on what would become Teetering on the Edge of the Void. Teetering On the Edge of the Void was Hornsby's first professional album. It was recorded in late 2019 to analog tape in a studio in Nashville, Tennessee. The result was a psychedelic world folk album tinged with heavy Indian influence and orchestrated segments. Released in June, 2020, this acclaimed album was his most ambitious to date. It became the final album in his conceptual trilogy and was self released on vinyl. Less than a year later, Hornsby released his first professional instrumental album. Dogwood Dance was recorded in Asheville, NC and exemplifies his advanced guitar style that has been compared to artists akin to John Fahey. The Australian record label Ramble Records funded its release on vinyl. Both of his most recent albums have gained attention worldwide and have been positively reviewed on blogs, as well as airplay. Meeting in Boone, North Carolina, Unaka Prong borrows their name from a mountain range in western North Carolina. With their fourth and newest release, Kudzu, Unaka Prong continues to produce their unique blend of instrumental jazz fusion and alternative rock. Now based in Durham, NC, they've played across the southeast over the last few years, supporting bands like TAUK, Moon Taxi, and Dumpstaphunk.

In this episode we will be exploring Expedition Ships & Asia River Cruises. Featured Articles:"Expedition Ships for (Almost) Everyone" by Lilian Africano"Asia River Cruises" (9:06)by Lillian Africano
Rob and Seth first talk about they had to miss some of an Umphrey's McGee show to conduct this interview, which at once pained Turner but also indicated how strongly he felt about the brilliance of this guest. A quick tribute to Kofi Burbridge, a musician who passed away shortly before parts of this episode were recorded, unfolds to the Teel interview which finds him quick to explain how thankful he is to do what he loves for a living. Isaac talks about the importance of a band having a vision and being careful to make licensing decisions with this in mind. He also relates a revelation he had while working at Payless Shoes, how he auditioned for Stomp and the fact that he loves writing music and would be "really content" with just writing music if for some reason he could no longer tour. Isaac also mocks the "fashion-ignorant" Turner for being overly impressed with his own yoga pants, but he welcomes Turner's offer to give him a Kyrie Irving shirt (upon further review, it will probably be a Jayson Tatum shirt). The trio talk about the improv in the song "Convoy," the importance of "uber subtle non-verbal communication" and how while the band often knows exactly where they are going, those moments "when you know you don't know" can be the blessings which "hit you in the face." Teel admits his love of hip/hop and how in his teaching his students learn the importance of making a statement and how Kendrick Lamar "doesn't even know he's a drummer." Isaac also walks us through how his song "CMF 9000" evolved from an Ableton piece to a TAUK staple (this is demonstrated to completion at the end of the episode). He also relates about how the band benefits from each member having its ego enough in check to benefit from their each other's composition inputs and how this in turn makes the whole greater than the sum of its parts. He walks us through many TAUK songs, particularly delighting Rob by relating some of the history of the Turner favorite, "Check Mate." The new, free live release "Real TAUK Vol. 1" featuring tracks suggested by the band comes up, and Isaac indicates receptiveness to Turner's idea to have Part Two be selected by some of their most fervent fans. Perhaps most touching is how Teel repeatedly returns to the theme that much of his success in life and music is due to his mother. God bless her. The episode ends with Seth and Rob each sharing some recent live music experiences, and Rob ranting about confounding Twitter responses he received from cranky New York writer Caryn Rose and the curious Twitter inferences of the movie soundtrack artist, Branford Marsalis. Seth and Rob had one night together before they won’t see each other for several weeks, so they fired up this spontaneous episode. After a nod to Ben and Jerry’s new “It’s Ice…..Cream” flavor, Polay and Clark, Osiris and the Alternate Routes podcast, the hosts announce that friends of the show Great Peacock and Infamous Stringdusters will be doing four dates together March 27-30. The hosts talk about Great Peacock and play their recent track “Rattlesnake,” which features Tom Blankenship of My Morning Jacket on bass. Upcoming show events are discussed including Atlanta’s Holiday Hootenanny which will take place at The Variety Playhouse on December 20, and features Peter Rowan, Larry Keel, Jeff Mosier and others. Then the guys talk about the coming Umphrey’s McGee New Year’s run, and in particular the December 29th show. Tauk have agreed to divert their routing so that they can open that show, and late-night reignite the ferocious hybrid Tauking McGee. The guys talk about Tauk’s 2018 Shapeshifter II release and they end the episode by playing, “”Recreational Outrage” from that cd. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Last time we spoke to TAUK, they were gearing up to get in the studio to record the follow up to Sir Nebula. At the time I remember letting Matt and A.C. know that I really dug their sound, and was looking forward to new music. Well, since then, they have indeed recorded a new record, but before they release that canon of music in the Fall, they dropped an EP Shapeshifter 1: Construct a tidy 5 track effort with lots of new twists and sonic turns. We caught up with Matt to talk about the the EP and to get more info on the new record and their spring and summer plans…. One of the things I love most about The Sound Podcast is the really wide and diverse music we get to listen to, and talking to the artists who share their craft with us. Such is the case with Tauk a quartet from New York who mix all kinds of genres for explosive sometimes hard hitting instrumental jams. We recently sat down with AC Carter who plays keyboards and guitarist Matt Jalbert of Tauk. The discussion started when I asked Matt how the band hones their sound…… You can listen to this episode below, or by connecting and subscribing to one of the podcast platforms here or search your favorite podcast platform for “The Sound Podcast”; Itunes: bit.ly/sndpodi TuneIn: bit.ly/sndti Stitcher: bit.ly/sndsti GooglePlay: bit.ly/sndplay Get The Sound Podcast App: bit.ly/TSPAPPS See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Hailed as “The grooviest band north of the border” (Live for Live Music), the Toronto based funk family have been blazing a trail through the North American music scene leaving only happy hearts and dancing feet in their wake. The combination of Yanick Allwood (keyboards & vocals), Jaime Rosenberg (drums), Justin Bontje (bass) and Phil Tessis (guitar) results in an infectiously fun show, as well as virtuosity and beauty that will challenge your musical mind. After Funk’s sound and hard work has not gone unnoticed; being selected as the Electric Forest’s Instrumental Forester in 2014 earned them two sets at the festival and they have served as support for Walk Off The Earth, Lettuce, Snarky Puppy, Dumpstaphunk, TAUK and more. The band has released 2 albums to help you prepare for the experience: ‘Til The Sun Comes Up features Canadian hip hop legend Choclair and earned over $10,000 in crowdfunding presales and their self-titled debut EP was mixed and mastered by Alan Evans of Soulive. Both albums promise to have you rocking out and singing along to catchy melodies and funky grooves. But if you truly want to find out what comes after the funk, you’ll just have to come experience it for yourself.

TAUK, the instrumental rock quartet from New York, is one of our very favorite bands. They work hard, make driving, energetic music, and tackle their challenges with a determination and artistic spirit we can only revere. Collisions, TAUK's sophomore effort, is funky, hard-driving and replete with infectious grooves. In their second maDCap appearance, Dan & David visited with Alric "AC" Carter, Matt Jalbert, Isaac Teel and Charlie Dolan backstage at The Hamilton. The boys catch us up on their lives and discuss the album 'Collisions.' Look for TAUK on the road this summer, including dates at JazzFest in New Orleans, Electric Forest in Michigan and Red Rocks with Umphrey's McGee on July 3rd. @TAUK | http://TAUKband.com | twitter.com/TAUKband | fb.com/TAUKband http://madcapdc.org | twitter.com/madcapdc | fb.com/madcapdc

Tauk is a four-piece instrumental band from New York who make driving and evocative music that touches the soul. Guitarist Matt Jalbert, keyboardist Alric 'AC' Carter and bass player Charlie Dolan have been performing together since middle school, adding drummer Isaac Teel to complete the quartet a few years ago. Dan & David caught up with Tauk ahead of their show at the 8 x 10 in Baltimore in November, and this young, ambitious band gave maDCap a fascinating look behind the curtain of a group living out their dreams, moving complete strangers with their songs, and striving to make a living in the music business. http://taukband.com twitter.com/taukband @taukband fb.com/taukband instagram.com/taukband --- http://madcapdc.org twitter.com/madcapdc fb.com/madcapdc instagram.com/madcapdc

AURAL FIX Edition of the ROCK SHOWTop 20 Songs of 2011 from the Long Island Music Sceneok, end of the year means Top Blah, Blah, Blah lists and Aural Fix is not immune to them! After many beers (Mike) and deep meaningful thought (The J?!), and in no way influenced by politics or payola (Mike), we have come up with our Top 20 Songs of 2011 from the Long Island Music Scene. It is by no means definitive, as there was actually a Top 50 List, but we only have a 2 hour show and only 20 songs actually fit in that allotted amount of time. Especially when you factor in the format breaks and The J's mic hogging endless rambles, we did what we can with it. If you are displeased with not making the list, complain to The J. I'll try to get the 30 of 50 Top Songs out this weekend in a separate podcast, but I drink alot and tend to get distracted...- Mikeps - some classic moments to listen for in podcast: PUI intro, dead air brought to you by M&J ... and more sillinessMike FerrariPublisher, Creative Director:AURAL FIX COMMUNIQUE, P.O. The Experience Long Island edition of the Aural Fix Transmission! We had festival organizers as well as a few of the creative participants that will be giving Long Islanders a taste of their art! This is the un-edited 2 hour show. I wanted to get it online since the event is this coming weekend. We'll chop it up later, but right now its a whopping 162mb file!
Push Play at WCWP By Mike Ferrari Okay, long time AF readers are like, “C’mon Mike, a boy band in Aural Fix?!” To this I say – when your band came to WCWP, did you have 20 screaming teens and tweens holding signs with your name on it? I didn’t think so!In that long standing tradition of good looking boys, sugary pop music and hype galore, Push Play has gone where boy bands like N Sync and New Kids On The Block et al have all gone before... straight to teenage girls hearts. While Push Play certainly does all this, they do go beyond simple crass commercialism, and forgettable little ditties. The band donates a portion of all their proceeds to various local charities.Featuring a fab four of local Long Island teens; CJ on Lead Vocals, Rhythm Guitar, Keyboard, Nick on Bass and Derek on Drums they pump out songs like “Away” which is pure pop confection, but it is sweet and and it's hard to resist the hook. Sometimes the vocals get a little over processed like on “Starlight Addiction” but I guess no different than most pop artists you’re hearing on your FM dial right now.The band came down to the MyWCWP.com radio station to do an in-studio interview and acoustic performance on the Top 40 Format Total Access Show with host Nick Parker. About 20 people showed up to the station, many holding signs with messages to Push Play. At one point the station let the fans into the studio with the band, and some like Morgan Manganello of Holbrook, got to ask the band a question on air.So you local musicians are seething in your basement or garage demanding to know why it isn’t you on the cover, or you in the pull out centerfold poster. I’ll explain it as best I can... because you’re not a cute teenage boy. You haven’t dropped the cash on the PR machine to crank out fluffy hype about all the things you do. You haven’t dressed up and looked like a rock star or care about your image. You haven’t wrote a sugary pop song that sticks in the heads or tugs at the hearts of teenage girls. To put it simply – you haven’t done what Push Play has done. The boys in Push Play with the support of “band mom” Sue Baran have done all these things. As superficial as it may seem to you, this is the way the music industry today works. The key here is to find some things to incorporate into your music business plan from their play book. However Push Play hasn’t been all hype, having sold out Irving Plaza and School of Rock earlier this year, and recently signing with Creative Artists Agency. The band has made themselves known at Nokia Theatre in Times Square and ZooTopia all through good old fashioned grass roots, word of mouth and incessant MySpace and online social networking. Hype will only carry an artist or band so far, you still need to sell tickets and fill seats! Push Play has done this and more, and they’re just getting started. www.myspace.com/pushplayrox See The Gallery from their appearance HERE
