Actress & The Brink Author Jaime Andrews Interview | The Struggle of Addiction and Hollywood On the outskirts of popular culture for over 20 years, Jaime Andrews started acting professionally at the age of 12 at Arena Playhouse on Long Island. Best known for her work as a comedic commentator on TruTV's World's Dumbest, she has been a billboard model (Stoli), an album cover-girl (My Chemical Romance), a columnist (Backstage, New Thinking), a commercial queen (she shipped her pants for K-mart and has hung out with the Geico gecko and Chester Cheetah, among dozens of others), a theater manager (Sacred Fools) and, most recently, an award-winning filmmaker (Division, now available on several platforms). She was a recurring Guest Star on Good Girls Revolt, whose premature cancellation started an online firestorm at the dawn of the Me Too movement. WACKY-BUT-TRUE: FLORIDA MAN LETS 12-YEAR-OLD DRIVE JEEP 85 MPH _ A Florida man is facing felony charges after police said he let a 12-year-old girl drive his SUV and told her to speed because he wanted to be a “cool father” — even though he is not her dad. 41-year-old Shaun Michaelsen told the arresting officer he is friends with the girl's mother and that the girl and her friend were staying with him for a few days. He said the girl had asked earlier in the day if she could drive his Jeep, so he thought “it would be cool” and that he was trying to be a “cool father.” Michaelsen also told officers he had been drinking. … The arrest report indicates an officer spotted the Jeep making an illegal U-turn and then speeding away at about 12:10 AM Monday. He followed and the Jeep reached speeds of 85 mph in a 45 mph zone before he was able to pull it over. The officer said that when he asked the 12-year-old why she was driving so fast, she said Michaelsen told her to. WACKY-BUT-TRUE: PREGNANT WOMAN FALLS THROUGH KITCHEN CEILING _ A pregnant U.K. woman who fell through her kitchen ceiling didn't break a single bone — but immediately went into labor. The woman was 35 weeks pregnant when she crashed through her bathroom floor and fell ten feet into the kitchen. The woman and her husband were renovating the bathroom for the arrival of the baby and there was nothing but plasterboard and joists. She thinks she missed a step. As soon as the paramedics got to her home they checked her out and then rushed her to the hospital to deliver her baby. WACKY-BUT-TRUE: LOCKED IN A VAULT _ In Argentina a man went to the bank late one Friday afternoon to get something out of his safe deposit box. He had only been inside the vault for a few minutes when the lights went out. He assumed there was some kind of electrical problem, but after a few minutes in the dark, he started getting nervous. He cried out for help, but no one answered. Then he heard the heavy doors of the vault closing with a loud thud. He was locked in, and since the bank didn't have weekend business hours, he knew he was going to be in there for a long time. On Monday, the bank security guard was surprised to see the man when he opened the vault. The man, who seemed no worse for the experience, explained that he had stayed alive thanks to a bag of cookies he had with him.
