New AI technology is giving farmers an insight into the eating quality of their lamb and beef. Alliance group-shareholders can now use Meat Eating Quality technology to analyse the tenderness, juiciness and flavour of meat. Chief executive Willie Wiese told Mike Hosking the tool predicts the performance of livestock using genetics. He says they've tested and validated the outcomes of the predictions against chemistry tests. Alliance will have regional benchmarking data on the new technology by the end of the year. Something different for the podcast--host Stephen Winzenburg is interviewed on fellow WHO talk show host Jan Mickelson's show for a humorous episode that analyzes a raw meat-eating Iowa couple on ABC's reality show "Wife Swap" that traded farm life with a high-class black family from San Francisco. In the middle of the show former governor Tom Vilsack announces he is quitting his 2007 run for the White House. The conversation turns to how the media stereotype Iowans as "hick" and "rural."
The Fat-Burning Man Show by Abel James: The Future of Health & Performance
Have you heard that eating animal protein causes cancer? Or that you'll save the world if you only give up hamburgers forever? Despite dutifully reducing our consumption of animal protein for decades, rates of obesity and chronic disease have skyrocketed. In the face of relentless anti-meat propaganda, what if the blanket advice to follow strict plant-based diets is actually accelerating rates of obesity and disease? When I gave up meat as a young athlete for the sake of health and the environment, my results were abysmal. I lost muscle, gained fat, lacked energy, recovered poorly, and my race performance suffered. Since plant-based fake meats and meat substitutes are incomplete proteins that are not well absorbed or utilized by our bodies, avoiding high-quality animal protein can lead to poor outcomes in health and performance for children and adults alike. Meatless Mondays may sound virtuous, but they're not saving the environment or solving the obesity epidemic as many are led to believe. Indiscriminately blaming cattle for the sins of fossil fuels and industrial agriculture is a mistake. We all want to save the world, but as this week's guest quips: “we can't eat our way out of a climate crisis.” Whether you're raising animals or growing crops, industrial agriculture isn't friendly to the environment or our health. Prioritizing the health of your body and the planet requires that we source real food according to the laws of nature, prioritizing regenerative agriculture and pasture-raised animals over the products of concentrated feedlots and industrial monocrops. When it comes to health and performance, eating high-quality protein from healthy animals is one of the most powerful weapons we have to fight obesity, muscle wasting, and premature aging. Today we're back with our friend Dr. Gabrielle Lyon, a New York Times Bestselling author, podcaster and functional medicine physician specializing in the concept of muscle-centric medicine, which focuses on the largest organ in the body, skeletal muscle, as the key to health and longevity. In this episode with Dr. Gabrielle Lyon, you'll discover: Why what we think of as aging is actually a disease of impaired muscle The surprising relationship between meat, protein, and cancer How society's focus on weight loss has led to neglect of muscle building, which is critical for overall health The most effective exercises and training frequency to build skeletal muscle, optimize metabolism, and fight aging And much more… Read the show notes: https://fatburningman.com/gabrielle-lyon-why-meat-eating-and-strength-training-are-key-to-longevity/ Grab Dr. Gabrielle Lyon's new book “Forever Strong”: https://drgabriellelyon.com/forever-strong/ Join the Abel James' Substack channel: https://abeljames.substack.com/ Watch on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/fatburningman Follow on X: https://x.com/abeljames Like the show on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/fatburningman Click here for your free Fat-Burning Kit: http://fatburningman.com/bonus Brought to you by: The Relax Infinity app at RelaxInfinity.com - Save 20% off with the promo code WILD Wild-caught seafood from MarithymeSeafood.com - Get 10% off your first order with code EATWILD

CARNIVORE vs ANIMAL BASED…why Paul Saladino switched and the benefits he's seen. This is just one of many topics we cover in today's episode as I'm joined by Dr. Paul Saladino who is very well known across all social media platforms as the animal based diet guru. Paul once only ate meat for an entire year, then switched his diet to what he follows now which includes fruits, fruit juice, honey, dairy, and even some starches. We talk about why he made the switch and what even got him into health and wellness to begin with in the first place. You may or may not know of Paul's health issues prior, but he shares about that in today's episode along with tips for those looking to go animal based on a budget, benefits one can see going animal based, the best foods to eat for fertility, how saunas could be hindering you and your partner from conceiving, is there such a thing as eating too much meat and developing high acidity in your body, and there's even something called a “meat allergy” and what we should look for if we have it. We also dive into hidden plastics in consumables that we may never have even thought of like the paper the butcher uses to wrap our meat in, vacuumed sealed meat, and even dust in our homes. Everything from intermittent fasting to ways on how to prepare foods the right way to eliminate all variables in getting an upset tummy, Paul and I could have talked for another hour at least! This was such a fun conversation and Paul is truly a real, down to earth human being and I think as you listen, you will truly see his authentic, genuine, kind self come through…. Topics Discussed: Followers Q+A Does Paul eat Chicken, yogurt, and anything out of a can? How do we reconcile our love for pets with the animals on our plates? This episode peels back the layers of cognitive dissonance that shroud our relationship with animals, inviting you into a space of personal discovery and societal critique. As your host, I share my own evolution in understanding the contradictions between the animals we call family and those we consume. Join me in questioning the societal conditioning that dictates our affections and appetites, and discover how confronting these uncomfortable truths can lead us toward more consistent and compassionate living. Venture further into the ethical labyrinth of our food systems, where I dissect the tangled roots of animal agriculture and its historical ties to colonialism. I don't cast blame on subsistence hunters and fishers; instead, I spotlight the broader systemic injustices that permeate our food choices. I also share my own experience growing up hunting and fishing before deciding to go vegan. Learn why adopting a plant-based diet might not just be a personal preference but a necessary step for sustainable living, and how embracing the unease that comes with change can be a catalyst for global transformation. The source mentioned: What is Cognitive Dissonance?
How much do you talk to your children about where food comes from? This was a question I hadn't thought about much until someone posed a question about separating the imagery of an idyllic farm in the books we read to our children from the realities of animal husbandry. It got me thinking hard - because as a passionate sustainable meat advocate, I care deeply about my meat. Where does meat comes from? How is it reared? How has it been treated? Is it healthy to eat? How much should we eat? How is it produced? Is it bad for the environment? These are all questions I have thought about, changed my mind about and grappled with over the years. It is a question that has been close to my heart ever since my Paleo days, when I started becoming interested in food. So in this episode on Raising Healthy Mothers I'm tackling the issue of how to talk to our children about meat – and realise in the process that it's very little to do with the meat itself and much more to do with our values and what we want our family to value. I discuss... The environmental impact of vegan food in agriculture and why it's important to have that conversation too. What's really important when it comes to choosing meat, and how to balance different priorities of cost and values How I talk to my children about eating meat – and why it's become difficult since moving out of London What sustainable animal farming means to me, and the hierarchy of importance according to my personal values The wider question of whether sustainable farming can feed the world The question of privilege in having a choice about the meat we choose to eat – and whether the choices you might feel forced to make is a short-term one. This is one of those episodes that might ruffle some feathers as I'm sure many people out there have a different opinion to me. If you do have an opposing view point then I'd love to hear from you – and if you agree with me then let me know too! Horsegirl Kat, an avid horse rider, joins to discuss a dark secret we have willfully ignored throughout the centuries. Are horses bloodthirsty carnivorous killers? From baby chicks, to human testicles, to even others of their kind, horses have consistently been witnessed throughout history devouring meat and sipping on blood. When pitted against mountain lions, tigers or even humans, they are capable of mercilessly eliminating their enemies! Are they true monsters, or is this the result of mingling with humans for 6 thousand years? All of this and more... may be answered in the book we read! Ingrid Newkirk (founder of PETA, radical stuntwoman) is one of the most controversial – and wild - humans on the planet. After founding People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) in 1980 she campaigned to change animal cruelty laws, halted cosmetic and crash testing on animals and has largely rid the world of fur fashion. She didn't take the mild, collaborative route, though. Ingrid has hung naked among pigs' carcasses in London's Smithfield market, famously raided Vogue HQ to protest their use of fur, along with a KKK meeting to stop the shooting of pigeons. Ingrid is now 74, her hobbies include Formula One racing (Michael Schumacher is a mate) and she is cited as a “hero” to countless celebrities, including Bill Maher (on her board) and Joaquin Phoenix (bought the film rights to her book Free the Animals). Ingrid reached out to me to chat on Wild. I'm not vegan and I wear wool. Our chat was both robustly challenging and moving. You can buy the 30th Anniversary Edition of Free the Animals here and read more about PETA Australia here. Here's that Australian perspective data I mention, outlined in The Conversation essay and here's a rebuttal written by another academic, also published in The Conversation. If you need to know a bit more about me… head to my "about" pageFor more such conversations subscribe to my Substack newsletter, it's where I interact the most!Get your copy of my book, This One Wild and Precious LifeLet's connect on Instagram Hosted on Acast. A recent article is saying that beef consumption is down 40% since 1980. Dr. Martin knew that consumption of meat was down, but didn't realize it was this much. The current narrative is that meat is bad for you, that it'll cause cancer and you should not eat it. Despite consumption being down, why is it that heart disease is up, diabetes is up, cancer is up? None of them are down. Join Dr. Martin for a history lesson on the decline of beef. He explains why he thinks it's one of the worst things that has ever happened to our society.

While Michael describes his new book as essentially a ‘love story' between two seemingly distinct characters with different outlooks on life and death in the human and animal kingdoms, it draws in part – as did the entirety of his first two books, Mass Casualties and Civilianized – from his experiences serving in the US Army in Iraq in the 2000s and the PTSD he suffered upon release from duty. After penning his way out of his troubles, which included additional substance and drug abuse, Anthony became a writing mentor to other Army veterans so that they too, can learn to live with their experiences by putting them on paper. In this discussion with host/fellow author Tony Fletcher, the pair tackle all manner of subjects: the merits of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the bloody field hospital operations that Anthony assisted in, the sense of failure knowing that Iraqi lives saved in surgery were likely lost once the Americans left, the cowardice and deception of certain military ‘leaders', the prevalence of PTSD and suicide among veterans, how writing can help, how writing directly from experience can help even more, how Anthony came to pen a graphic memoir, and the all-important role of the illustrator. Especially, he discusses the relationship, detailed in Just Another Meat-Eating Dirtbag, with the love of his life, ‘Coconut', a vegetarian and animal rights campaigner who Anthony describes as having a soul like ‘exposed nerve endings'. As their relationship develops, the memoir follows Anthony's attempts to go ‘under cover' by becoming a vegetarian in the hope of converting Coco, who had been fat-shamed by her mother as a child, back to meat. The conversation wraps up with a discussion about slaughterhouses in the food industry and on the battlefield, the surprising prevalence of vegetarianism among 'bad-ass army dudes', the movie The Game Changers, and the difficulties of giving up life-long habits, from meat to cigarettes. It is, believe it or not, an upbeat conversation!More info about Just Another Meat-Eating Dirtbag, including links for purchase: https://www.streetnoisebooks.com/just-another-meateating-dirtbagMichael Anthony is at https://masscasualties.com/ He can also be contacted directly through his website.Street Noise is at https://www.streetnoisebooks.com/Chai Simone is at https://www.instagram.com/limina_1999/One Step Beyond on socials:Instagram is OneStepBeyondPodcastFacebook is One Step Beyond with Tony FletcherTwitter is OneStepBeyondP1Theme song is 'Yes Men' by The Dear Boys. (image source: https://dinosaurpictures.org/Carnotaurus-pictures) Host Matthew Donald and guest co-host Ben O'Regan discuss Carnotaurus, a carnivore that heard all other dinosaurs end in ‘saurus' so decided to change one letter to be distinctive. I respect the commitment to bare minimum effort. From the Late Cretaceous, this 25-foot abelisaurid theropod had two devilish horns and a grumpy personality, making it a big bully in the dino world. Honestly, if my arms were even shorter than T. rex's, I would be grumpy too.Want to further support the show? Sign up to our Patreon for exclusive bonus content at Patreon.com/MatthewDonald. Bonus episode! It's become a habit to release a "one Ryan show" on or around holidays, so how about some incendiary thoughts about what people put on their plates during Epic Eating Season? It took some re-releases to get there, but Bambi has become one of Disney's biggest hits ever and is beloved by many fans, but this review doesn't join all those people in the gush parade. Not that the movie doesn't look great and there certainly are interesting themes in this nature-loving subject matter. There are also many favourable comparisons to The Lion King. Still, this episode is a rip-fest. So as America enjoys/dreads spending several days with family during the Thanksgiving weekend, settle in with a brief solo gab that has a thorn in its hoof about Bambi. New 2022 - Meat Eating & Mind Games: Exploring the Psychology of the Human Disgust Emotion and Why we have to Disguise animal flesh to make it Desirable - Milton Mills, M.D Milton Mills, MD • https://www.preventionofdisease.org/milton-mills #MiltonMills #DiseasePrevention #Vegan Milton Mills, MD practices urgent care medicine in the Washington DC area, and has served previously as Associate Director of Preventive Medicine and as a member of the National Advisory Board, for Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM). He has been a major contributor to position papers presented by PCRM to the United States Department of Agriculture regarding Dietary Guidelines for Americans, and has been the lead plaintiff in PCRM's class action lawsuit that asks for warning labels on milk.Dr. Mills earned his medical degree at Stanford University School of Medicine, and completed an Internal Medicine residency at Georgetown University Hospital. He has published several research journal articles dealing with racial bias in federal nutrition policy. He frequently donates his time via practicing at free medical clinics, and travels widely, speaking at hospitals, churches and community centers throughout the country. He was featured in the recent attention-getting film “What the Health,” and will also appear in the upcoming film “The Silent Vegan.”A major focus of Dr. Mills' patient advisement as well as his lecturing, is the use of nutritional measures to reduce the risk of major chronic diseases. He notes that the scientific research literature shows plant-based diets as supporting better overall immune system function, and during work with HIV-positive and AIDS patients at clinics, he's observed that those who go vegetarian seem to improve, with increased energy and higher T-cell counts. He therefore hopes throughout the future to examine further the relationships between diet and immune functionality, particularly the effects of plant-based eating choices upon outcomes forHIV-positive patients. To Contact Dr. Milton Mills go to https://www.preventionofdisease.org/milton-mills CLICK HERE - To Checkout Our MEMBERSHIP CLUB: http://www.realtruthtalks.com • Social Media ChannelsFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/TRTAHConferenceInstagram : https://www.instagram.com/therealtruthabouthealth/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/RTAHealth Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/company/the-real-truth-about-health-conference/ Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/c/TheRealTruthAboutHealth • Check out our Podcasts Visit us on Apple Podcast and Itunes search: The Real Truth About Health Free 17 Day Live Online Conference Podcast Amazon: https://music.amazon.com/podcasts/23a037be-99dd-4099-b9e0-1cad50774b5a/real-truth-about-health-live-online-conference-podcastSpotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/0RZbS2BafJIEzHYyThm83J Google:https://www.google.com/podcasts?feed=aHR0cHM6Ly9mZWVkcy5zaW1wbGVjYXN0LmNvbS8yM0ZqRWNTMg%3D%3DStitcher: https://www.stitcher.com/podcast/real-truth-about-health-live-online-conference-podcastAudacy: https://go.audacy.com/partner-podcast-listen-real-truth-about-health-live-online-conference-podcastiHeartRadio: https://www.iheart.com/podcast/269-real-truth-about-health-li-85932821/ Deezer: https://www.deezer.com/us/show/2867272 Reason: https://reason.fm/podcast/real-truth-about-health-live-online-conference-podcast • Other Video ChannelsYoutube:https://www.youtube.com/c/TheRealTruthAboutHealthVimeo:https://vimeo.com/channels/1733189Rumble: https://rumble.com/c/c-1111513 Facebook:https://www.facebook.com/TRTAHConference/videos/?ref=page_internal DailyMotion: https://www.dailymotion.com/TheRealTruthAboutHealth BitChute: https://www.bitchute.com/channel/JQryXTPDOMih/ Disclaimer:Medical and Health information changes constantly. We've been told that eating healthy means eating a lot of vegetables, but what if plants and vegetables have a "dark side"? What might an animal-based diet do for our health and well-being? There's a lot of buzz about the carnivore diet right now. What does an animal-based diet look like and how can it benefit us? Dr. Paul Saladino, a leading expert on the science and application of the carnivore diet, sheds light on what this kind of diet can do for those on a healing journey. As a conventionally-trained doctor, he was taught very little about nutrition, but he took it upon himself to do a deep dive. What he found changed the course of his practice. Now, he uses the carnivore diet to help patients reverse autoimmune conditions, chronic inflammation, and mental health issues. Today, Paul compares the long-term effects of eating a vegan diet with meat-eaters. (Hint: the latter fare better.) He reviews why animal products are very good for us and why plant foods are less so. He explains why he considers the carnivore diet good for both men and women. And why his own animal-based diet today includes some fruits and even raw milk. (As you listen, please keep in mind that the Wise Traditions diet that WAPF recommends is rich in fat and contains moderate amounts of protein and carbohydrates.) I share an ancient legend about a samurai and his attempt to tame a fearsome man-eating horse! The story draws many parallels with ancient Greek myths of the Mares of Diomedes, and of the taming of Bucephalus. Are these tales of monstrous horses remnants of a buried ancient knowledge we have conditioned ourselves (and our horses) to forget, and what may these stores tell us about our relationship with the same animals who helped us shape modern civilization? ====================== Send us suggestions and comments to tracingowlspodcast@gmail.com Follow us on Instagram @tracingowls Sound effects obtained from https://www.zapsplat.com ====================== FURTHER READING: Mares of Diomedes | Wikipedia The Forgotten Story Of Meat Eating Horses | The Horseaholic When vegans see the light: Meat-eating horses in mythology and modern day CuChullaine O'Reilly (2011): Deadly Equines: The Shocking True Story of Meat-Eating and Murderous Horses. SHR # 2900:: Amazing Meat-Eating Probiotic - Wade Lightheart - Animal protein delivers so many health benefits. It's sad that some, as they age, find it hard to digest. They avoid meat, poultry, pork and even fish because they just feel it laying there in their stomachs for what seems like hours. There exists a very special probiotics that, on its own, can digest meat all by itself. In fact we will link you to a time lapse video of it doing it so you can see for yourself. If you're someone who has shied away from eating meats, or you want to get more amino acids from the meats you're already eating, this interview is important to you. Horsegirl Kat, an avid horse rider, joins us to discuss a dark secret we have willfully ignored throughout the centuries. Are horses bloodthirsty carnivorous killers? From baby chicks, to human testicles, to even others of their kind, horses have been witnessed throughout history devouring meat and sipping on blood. When pitted against mountain lions, tigers or even humans, they are capable of mercilessly eliminating their enemies! Are they true monsters, or is this the result of hanging around humans for 6 thousand years? All of this and more... may be answered in the book we read! If you desire facts, why are you listening to podcasts? Go read a book! ====================== Huge THANK YOU!!! to Katrina for sharing her badassery with us while high on caffeine! In this final lesson on altars and sacrifices I answer some of the questions I've received from brothers and sisters who've been listening to the teachings. Then I go into a very brief exegesis of Jeremiah 7:22-23 (an objection often given to animal sacrifice), and end with looking at the subject of meat-eating verses veganism in Scripture. Was mankind vegan before the flood, or did veganism at least exist pre-fall?
