Join us in Brisbane Central as we commence our new series, How To Make. This week Pastor Neli emphasises God's divine purpose of work and creativity in our lives. Everyone is a worshipper of something or someone based on what they are willing to sacrifice. Our lives should be living sacrifices, and the renewal of our minds is tied to what we worship. When you understand your divine purpose in work and worship, not allowing culture to dictate our lives, you begin to focus on what truly matters for eternity. Be encouraged you can align your life with God's purpose. What has God given you to create and cultivate? Now out of the ground the Lord God had formed every beast of the field and every bird of the heavens and brought them to the man to see what he would call them. And whatever the man called every living creature, that was its name. The man gave names to all livestock and to the birds of the heavens and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper fit for him. - Genesis 2:19-20 (ESV)

We all have a job to do. Whether we're clocking in and out every morning, or raising up little ones in our home, God calls us to do that job as service unto Him. When we view our work as worship, we're ultimately redirecting the glory back to Him, and, hopefully, in turn, inspiring others to do the same. Starting next Monday, October 24th, we'll hear stories from individuals who are actively viewing their work as a means of serving God and advancing His Kingdom. When you look at your schedule or calendar, do you start to get stressed out? Do you wonder how in the world you can get it all done? With work, kids' activities, friends, errands, and just trying to get dinner on the table every night, it can be a challenge! Well, going nonstop and never taking a break is not really what God has designed us to do. We will be looking at why the Sabbath should be an important practice in our lives today as believers. I look forward to jumping into God's Word with you!

Have you ever hired a construction crew to do some work for you? I imagine most homeowners have – especially ones like me with a low skillset. How awesome would it be to have a crew to whom you could say, “You don't need to send me a detailed bill; just tell me how much it costs and I'll pay it.” That's trust. And trust is built upon a foundation of integrity. In the Book of 2 Kings, we'll see such an account. It's inspiring. And it's a great example of the work ethic we'll find in Ephesians 6:5-8.
What motivates you to work? Rewards, money, family, profits, recognition, competition, promotions, purpose…? If you own a business, are employed by a business, run your home, or are a student in college or high school, one or more of these may drive you to be wildly productive in your work. But what if there is a higher motivation? Regardless of the kind of work you do, join us as we continue our preaching series Workship to discuss this motivation and its potential impact on your work.
What is the point of work? Business leader. Stay-at-home parent. Retired astronaut. High school student. Pastor. Volunteer. Barista. Professional underwater hockey player. What do they all have in common? Let's find out together!
It's okay to be sad. Jesus and His Kingdom message are true even if you don't feel anything. Jesus speaks the truth without all the modern hype. We're deceived by trying to live from dopamine rush to dopamine rush and calling that 'spiritual life'. The Father is seeking those who will worhip Him in Spirit and truth. Worship is not a type of song. It is not necessarily singing songs at all. Workship is bowing yourself down to something. Bowing down, in your heart, to someone or something, is workship. Jesus is able to save the sick, yes, but when should He stop? When would it be okay for Him to let someone you love die. Does death matter? Does life matter? If there is eternal life, if there is resurrection, then it matters more than we seem to think. These thoughts shared by Jason Stuart Percy at Refuge TLH in Tallahassee, FL on Sunday, November 28, 2021.
Nepal's “Bhai Tika” ceremony is the culmination of one of Hindu religion's most important festivals, known as Tihar, or Diwali. It marks the end of a five-day event, which honors deities, rekindles friendships and brings loved ones together. But what does this have to do with worshipping dogs, cows and crows? And how is keeping them happy linked to avoiding death and infernal suffering? Lets find out!

In verse 20 of Bhaja Govindam, we learn that we need to study the Bhagavad Gita and to workship Lord Krishnaso that we can gracefully accept death when it comes - we could possibly go beyond death. Symbolically, the flow of the Ganga represents the flow of knowledge and devotion. To take a sip of that devotion is what we are urged to do. Workship is described in the Gita as to serve mankind. Service is true worship.
When we remember Whose we are, it empowers us to honor those over us and strengthens our witness.

The Yoga of Architecture is a meditation practice that runs through the subtle energy fields of the seven chakra wheels within the human body. Each wheel represents a different endocrine gland that is connected to a vital organ. As we move from microcosm to macrocosm, the organs in the body correspond with the different functions within an arcology, a holistic ecocity design. Seeing the complexity of an arcology as a fractal or miniaturization of the planetary ecosystem, arcology becomes a living cell within the Cosmos. Unlike our present patriarchal civilization that is spreading out of control like carcinogenic tumors, a planetary networks of arcologies becomes healing nodes protecting wilderness by working as an immunity system. Using Barbara Marx Hubbard's Wheel of Cocreation to build the social architecture within an arcology, we have a way to create a morphic field necessary for its manifestation. Arcology, a whole-systems design approach to living, is a city in the image of Woman. The Yoga of Architecture gives us topography for constructing both an inner and outer spatial relationships that leads us to the Queendom of Love. It is a pathway to creating a second genesis so that the world soul finally has a universal home. Yoga of Architecture becomes a collective spiritual practice of building a new world. The workship, a word combining work and worship of the divine, puts practice into action. Such activity not only allows us to understand of our common purpose, but to live the spirit of global unity by constructing a new sacred reality. Please join me in doing the Yoga of Architecture meditation practice. As more and more of us follow the path of building the divine architectural green print in our hearts, we find the external means for our planetary salvation. Arcology: evolutionary architecture; the fusion of architecture and ecology Doctress Neutopia is available to give face-to-face Powerpoint slide shows on the Yoga of Architecture.
