He was shot at by a gun-obsessed MAGA kid, with Trump signs in the front yard of his home, in a MAGA world in which stochastic terror threats are Trump's only campaign, only belief, only religion. Republicans! Stop shooting at Trump! This wasn't an MSNBC viewer and it wasn't a Democrat and it wasn't the fault of the corporate media and Biden's oratory didn't impact him and this didn't happen because I keep saying Trump is a Hitler. TrumpIS a Hitler. The Republicans trained the weapon on Trump and they fired. And shame on Biden and the other Democrats and the eternally gullible media for falling for the promises of a Trump pivot. He said we need to unite the way the extraterrestrials put "To Serve Man" on their Twilight Zone cookbook. The moment the Democrats took the bait, he explained what his demands were: as part of "unity" he expects all criminal charges to be dropped against him immediately. When he let his true soul out? They were chanting that as the GOP convention yesterday. There is no joining of hands here. As always, when the Republicans mean unity, they mean everybody has to agree...to do what they say. Nice timing on delaying the Documents case, "Judge" Cannon, until the morning the GOP Convention opened, and dismissing it. Bluntly, Biden should take presidential immunity and use it. What would Trump do in the mirror image of the assassination attempt? Less than four months before the election and the guy ahead in the polls gets shot at. And the Secret Service clearly screwed security into the ground. And we don't know WHY a kid registered with the same party as the candidate would try to kill the candidate. And we don't know WHY a local police officer confronted the shooter moments before the shots only to back away. And we don't know why, most insanely of all, the kid had a cameo in a Black Rock commercial for retirement plans. And we DO know it is being investigated as an act of domestic terrorism. And you know, you KNOW, a Trump in charge would look at this and say ‘good enough excuse for me! I am declaring a national emergency and invoking the insurrection act.” Do it, Joe. AND: please, stop with the "violence has never had a role in America." With the release of their Metal Blade Records debut, Cattle Decapitation seemed focused on creating an album more akin to their death metal predecessors on To Serve Man. However, an evolution would occur over the next few years that would set them apart from the many trends in metal and hardcore throughout this time. By the way “The World Of A” was the first hardcover science fiction novel published after World War II in 1948.When Van Vogt revised his novel in 1970, he commented on Knight's review saying "I foresaw a brilliant writing career for the young man who had written so poetical an attack."Damon Knight is generally acknowledged to have been the first outstanding Science Fiction critic. He wrote around 17 novels and more than 100 short stories.His work found its way to TV when the short story “To Serve Man” appeared on The Twilight Zone in 1962. I am thinking you can figure that one out all on your own without my help— Then of course—you must look at how China is controlling the world supplies of critical medicines—like anti- biotics— which they control 97% of all supplies— In fact— the active ingredients for roughly 80% of all prescription medication used in America and Europe— are directly connected to the Chinese Communist Party—and its strict control—do you not believe—that at some point—China will hold all the cards it needs to demand world compliance— Meanwhile—they are dumping billions—yes billions of dollars into the mass media messaging you get here—from the major networks to social media—all of it—Nike—Coca Cola—the Washington Post—Facebook— are all getting fat—happy and frankly complacent and lazy by taking so much money— Do you remember the Twilight Zone episode—To Serve Man? They have since 2013—when a $4 Billion dollar investment was made by the Bank of China—to make it possible— In fact the Chinese currently own more than 25% of every pig living in the US right now—they are buying up farmland and timberland as fast as they can—whilst politicians sit asleep at the wheel arguing about Critical Race Theory and Climate Change— and a hundred other things— also campaigns the Chinese are likely paying the PR bills for— Today the Chinese control more than half of all the pork production in the world—and now have the most advanced processing in the world too— And how about one or two more—like Nathan's Famous Hot Dogs—nothing more American than that—except the 110 year old brand—that began at a stand on New York's Coney Island is—that's right owned by the Chinese— And the CCP is also buying commercial real estate—simply put—they are buying up housing in the United States—it looks like they do want to stop by for dinner— And here is one more—in addition to stealing our technology and patents—lying about their intentions with global warming—taking over food production and buying millions of acres of farmland—among other things— It is the Chinese—flooding this country with Fentanyl— Let that one sink in for a minute—because I am betting you thought that was something that was being made in Mexico or Bolivia—maybe—BUT it is the Chinese that are the ones skirting their own laws—to profit on the misery and death of Americans who get hooked and get killed by that poison— China outlawed fentanyl in 2019—so the clever folks behind the red curtain just shifted gears—and began flooding the U-S with the precursor chemicals—needed to make it by the ton— Today there are more than 100 Chinese vendors hiding behind the Chi Comm curtain—sending the poison in—and profiting in a massive way— So yes, the problem with China—is just about everything—

Today we celebrate pigging out and being in the zone. For the past few weeks, we've probably all been eating a lot of comfort food. I know I have. And maybe you've felt a little guilty about it. Today it doesn't matter what you have, gobble it up and don't count the calories. Chips, cookies, pizza, or maybe some cake. Just enjoy yourself. If anyone asks why you're on your second bag of potato chips, tell them to lighten up. It's National Eat What You Want Day and you're allowed to pig out if you choose, though getting crumbs on the couch is probably too far. You are about to enter another dimension. A dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind. The opening narration and theme music from the Twilight Zone make up one of the most iconic TV show introductions ever produced. Think of how many times something weird happens and someone starts humming that tune. It's amazing that more than 50 years have passed since the show first debuted and it still holds up as a fan favorite to this day. Check out some classic episodes such as To Serve Man or Nightmare at 20,000 Feet to see what we mean. Damon Knight (1922-2002), noted science fiction and fantasy editor and novelist, and master of the short story, in conversation with the hosts of Probabilities, Richard Wolinsky and Richard A. Lupoff, on July 3, 1983 at Westercon San Jose. Damon Knight, who died at the age of 79 back in 2002, made his mark in the world of science fiction as a short story writer, novelist, and as an editor of several magazines and anthologies, including the Orbit series of 21 paperback anthologies, which ran for over a decade. In a career that stretched from 1940 to the mid-1990s, he wrote seventeen novels, and a long list of science fiction and fantasy short stories. His most famous story, “To Serve Man” became a classic Twilight Zone episode. For those in the field, however, he is most noted for being the founder of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America (SFWA) organization, and the co-founder of the legendary Milford and Clarion Writers Workshops. The interview began with questions about his start as a science fiction writer, and his entry into a group of leftist science fiction writers known as the Futurians, in the early 1940s, and continued into a discussion of the founding of SFWA, his work as an editor, and his work in early television After 1983, he would go on to write seven more novels after the interview in the nearly two decades he would go on to live. As with many revered science fiction authors of the second half of the twentieth century, without any new television or film credits, his renown has faded over time, and few, if any, of his novels or anthologies remain in print, though some are available as ebooks. This interview was digitized, remastered and re-edited in March and April 2021 by Richard Wolinsky. As with most of the Probabilities interviews, this interview hadn't seen the light of day since it was first aired, and has never been aired or published in its entirety until now. To Serve Man is a short story by Damon Knight. It is told from the point of view of a translator working at the United Nations, as he narrates the story of the Kanamit, a race of aliens that seem to radiate goodwill, friendship, and plentiful gifts. Humans are naturally distrustful of unconditional gifts. We have been raised to always question, always be curious and never take anything at face value.
