On this episode of the Sisters in Alchemy podcast, Crystal and Jenna go deep into an insightful conversation about generational belief systems, including those passed down from our elders to those that we pass on to our own kids. They hope that this conversation stimulates your own exploration into belief systems, especially if you are breaking chains and stepping outside of the norms that were passed on to you. The process of dismantling belief systems to build them back up in the best way to serve you is a powerful act of self love, respect, and truth. And that doesn't mean it's easy. They dive into what empaths and highly sensitive people (HSP) are, how empaths feel and process the emotions of others, and the true gift of being an empath. If you resonate with being an empath or HSP, you both feel and enhance energies, emotions, etc. of others around you. In other words, you are literally processing so much information all the time. Crystal and Jenna want to remind you of the power that holds and how you can actually honor it versus stifling or being afraid of it. You can choose (by being unaware) to take on the energies of others that aren't yours, which often leads to system overwhelm, manifesting in health problems, digestive issues, etc. OR you can choose to protect yourself, to connect with others through this gift, to feel with them but not for them. You get to create and enforce boundaries, assess your relationships, protect and clear your energy, be aware of your capacity, and know that it truly is a gift. On this episode of the Sisters in Alchemy podcast, Crystal and Jenna go deep into how to magnetize your soul tribe. They focus on the main healing modalities and areas that they focused on before they were able to connect with each other in such a deep, powerful friendship. These areas included sister wounding, mother wounding, fear of being seen and/or rejected, and creating safety and love internally before they could truly accept it externally. If you recognize yourself in one or more of these areas, try not to judge or focus on “how far/much you need/want to change”, instead show yourself love and grace and allow yourself to get curious. The shadow is not to be feared, it is to be explored and given attention, because that is how we alchemize. Sacred sisterhood, or sacred soulhood, is like a journey, a place that you can travel to spiritually, it's deep, safe, and you can share the depths of your soul together. On this episode of the Sisters in Alchemy podcast, Crystal and Jenna go deep into the body. They focus on how to tap/tune into the body and it's messages, how the body stores information, experiences, emotions, and how to begin releasing and healing, and women's bodies, the inherent shame and pain that is carried within our bodies due to thousands of years of repression, sexualization, and disrespect. Crystal and Jenna share vulnerably about their own experiences in each of these areas and how and what they have done to experience vast healing of and within their bodies. They touch on how to truly listen to your body, including practices like meditation, creating intentional, habitual time and space to check in with yourself, body care practices like dry brushing, and more. Your body deserves such deep love and care because it is your one vessel, your actual connection between Spirit and the Earth. And every experience, emotion, food, and trauma that your body is exposed to has an impact and it requires intentional care to process, release, and nurture it. Some examples include exercise, shaking, twerking, dancing, and hip opening. As women, we especially get to lean in to these practices and/or others that feel good because we have been shamed, sexualized, silenced, and ripped of our sovereignty for thousands of years. We were (and in places and situations still are) taught that our bodies are bad, that we are powerless, that we are unsafe. Now is the time where we get to reclaim our sovereignty, our power, our truth, our BODIES. On this episode of the Sisters in Alchemy podcast, Crystal and Jenna go deep into Spirit Talks, pulling Duality and Healing Earth from the Priestess of Light Oracle Deck. Duality is a theme that interweaves throughout our lives, encompassing pain and joy, masculine and feminine, light and dark, spiritual and physical. Duality, a word of many meanings that can be the source of much misunderstanding when we are not consciously aware of its presence and its messages. The beauty of this card is striking, showing Mary Magdalene in her cave (her protection and safe haven from the men who sought to kill her), holding a single candle, a skull, and a book. This card brought up many emotional messages for Crystal and Jenna, highlighting the duality of Mary Magdalene in the cave - she was a powerful woman and therefore was viewed as ‘a dangerous threat' to the powers of the time which caused her to flee and seek the safety and protection of a cave where she lived the rest of her days. Although the times of crucifixion and witch hunts are in the past in many areas of the world, so many of us hide within our metaphorical cave - stuffing down all of the pieces of us (our skull) that are not ‘right' or ‘good' or ‘comfortable' as deemed by society, family, etc. In combination with Healing Earth, these two cards remind us to lean into the feminine. There is immense power in receiving - love, healing, understanding. On this episode of the Sisters in Alchemy podcast, Jenna and Crystal go deep into reclaiming the witch. In the episode, they dive into the evolution of the word witch, including the etymology of the word witch, the current perception and understanding of a witch, and their own definitions of being a witch. Throughout history and still today there is a connection between witches and magic to evil and/or the devil. They pose questions such as, “is there one entity called the devil?”, “does power come from within or without”? Jenna and Crystal both believe (as do many others in the spiritual space) that the power we hold as witches comes from within and we have access to connecting to outside powers as well, good or evil. It is within our intention that we choose to connect to light, to use the light, and to share that with the world. And in reality, the power that we believe is coming from outside of us, is actually an illusion, the separateness and is an illusion, as we are one with all humans, nature, and divinity. The fear that is instilled in us to fear magic, witches, and witchcraft only further reinforce that separateness, continuing to take power and sovereignty away from us all. The goal of this episode is to encourage you to create your own definition of the word witch based on what feels good to you. And remember, you are a witch based on who you are, not on what you do.
