I don't know if you are born with talent, but it pours through Harry Connick Jr's veins. At age three, he performs for smiles; by age nine, Harry is recording an album and plays the Piano Concerto No. 3 Opus 37 of Beethoven with the New Orleans Symphony Orchestra, and by the end of his teens, he is in New York with his first record deal. Harry Connick Jr has sold over 16 million albums and has won over audiences with his recorded and live music, acting in moves, television and performing on Broadway. In this podcast, Harry shares his life story. The phone call from Rob Reiner, who invited Harry first to play incidental music in the movie When Harry met Sally and ended with Harry singing most of the songs and finding fame. Matthew Modine took him under his wing on a film set to show him what it takes to own the camera and how Harry had to stretch himself doing a television show like Will and Grace. You will also learn three of Harry Connick Jr's life lessons that you can apply to help you do more and to be more, to get to where you need, want and deserve to go. Harry talks about dreaming big and then animating that dream, so you never lose sight of your destination or your faith that you will be living it one day. Harry talks about the importance of dreaming and doing, the hours he invests in preparation and practice so that he can break down the door when opportunity knocks. Finally, Harry Connick Jr opens up about how he dealt with COVID and the darkness he felt when his stage lights turned off and the microphones to go quiet. That period of isolation, and the grief he felt from 14 people he knew dying from COVID, led Harry Connick Jr to a renewed faith in his religion, in himself, and performing and creating a new album, 'Alone with My Faith'. It was therapy for himself and what he hopes is a gift for all who are struggling with the realities of today. As I did, I encourage you to listen to the album with headphones on and the room dark.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! What better way to celebrate Christmas than to release an episode about LOVE!!! Ben Higgins was America's Bachelor when he appeared on the TWENTIETH SEASON. Ben is also the founder of Generous Coffee, now his launching a new book called 'Alone in Plain Sight' You can get your copy here. The story of how Jessica and Ben met is something you need to listen too for yourself!! How they have been able to establish a relationship based around love, kindness and fulfilment will certainly leave many listeners in awe. You will get to listen to Jessica's story first then Ben's. In Alone in Plain Sight, Higgins shares Ben's perspective as a fellow sojourner on the journey to find connection and meaning. Examining the questions he has wrestled with personally, he invites us to realize that the measure of how connected we are with ourselves is how connected we are with others; discover why connection with others is essential and how shared pain can bridge even the widest gaps between two very different people; deconstruct the fairy-tale view of love that culture advertises and address the lie that being single is a disease that needs to be cured; and understand that the God who seeks connection is the answer to the deep yearning we have to connect to something bigger than ourselves.Follow Ben and Jessica on Social Media Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/jessclarke_/?hl=enhttps://www.instagram.com/higgins.ben/?hl=enFollow The Story Box on Social MediaInstagram - https://www.instagram.com/thestoryboxpodcast/Facebook Page - https://www.facebook.com/thestoryboxpodcastFacebook Group - https://www.facebook.com/groups/125781678801513YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCEXHMRPxW0qoxV8kKjaFdYwWebsite - https://thestoryboxpodcast.com/ See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

'Tristique' is a meandering, effervescent ride that builds in atmosphere as stellar chords ebb in and out of the mix before 'Alone and Unafraid' takes us to space with its syncopated groove drizzled in elements of nostalgia. Continuing the otherworldly aesthetic, 'Solipsist Debauchery' takes that cosmic noise even further, upping the energy as mesmerising synths and spectral melodies operate throughout. Finally, the scattered drums and ominous tone of 'Zero Expectations' concludes the package with an air of melancholy.

Chubby! on Facebook: www.facebook.com/chubbyrecords Don Carlos on Facebook: www.facebook.com/doncarlosdj Carlo Troja aka Don Carlos hails from Varese, in the North of Italy, and has been active as a DJ from the late 70's. He debuted as a producer towards the end of the 80's with the single 'Alone' on Calypso Records (IMRA), which became one of the cult tracks of the international Deep House scene. His productions have always mixed House rhythms with afro-american jazz sounds, verging sometime towards disco, sometime towards progressive house or electronic soul. In 1992 IRMA USA released his first album 'Mediterraneo', followed in 1993 by the Montego Bay project, produced together with Stefano Tirone (S-Tone Inc.), also on IRMA. He then released some singles on the Chicago based label Guidance under the Aquanauts moniker. He also reached the UK charts with the hit ‘You Make Me Feel’, sung by Byron Stingley, cover of the cult song by Sylvester. In 2000 he released a single on Erik Morillo's Subliminal Soul label and played highly acclaimed gigs at Ministry of Sound and Turnmills in London. In 2002 he released his third album ‘Music in My Mind’ featuring top guest vocalists like Kim Mazelle, Michelle Weeks, Taka Boom and Kevin Bryant. Following two mixed compilations ('Cafe De Paris Saint Tropez' and 'DJ Set') in 2004 IRMA released a collection of his 90's productions titled 'Mediterraneo', like his debut US album.

Comment sommes nous passés d'Alone in the Dark à Alien Isolation?
