Career Q&A with Darren Criss, moderated by Broadway World's Richard Ridge of "Backstage with Richard Ridge!" Darren Criss is a multi-faceted artist with an illustrious career spanning television, film, music and stage. He recently won a Primetime Emmy Award and received a Golden Globe nod for his portrayal of Andrew Cunanan in Ryan Murphy's award-winning series “American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace.” He made television history for being the second actor of Asian descent to ever win in this category and first Filipino-American to ever win an Emmy. His turn as Cunanan garnered him rave-reviews, being deemed as “electrifying,” “chilling,” “compelling,” “magnetic and frightening,” and “career-changing.” It has also earned him acting nods from the Television Critics Association Awards, MTV Movie & TV Awards and People's Choice Awards. Up next, Criss will star as Lieutenant Eugene Lindsey alongside Woody Harrelson and Mandy Moore in the Roland Emmerich-directed World War II film “Midway” that's set for release in 2019. He recently wrapped the UK leg of the wildly successful LM/DC Tour with his “Glee” co-star Lea Michele in Birmingham. Criss is also the founder of Elsie Fest, New York City's first showtunes music festival that was proclaimed by Entertainment Weekly as the “Coachella of Broadway.” In the fall of 2016, Criss returned to Broadway in his critically-acclaimed performance as Hedwig in “Hedwig and the Angry Inch,” which kicked off the 2014 Tony Award-winning Best Musical Revival's national tour. The New York Times touted Criss as “mesmerizing” when he first stepped into the title role on Broadway in 2015. Criss made his Broadway debut in January of 2012 as J. Pierrepont Finch in “How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying.” With Criss at the helm, the revival made just under $4 million, which proved to be the most lucrative three weeks of its 11-month run. Best known for playing Blaine Anderson on FOX's global phenomenon “Glee,” he received an Emmy Award nomination in 2015 for best original music and lyrics for the song “This Time,” which was performed by Lea Michele and appeared in the episode titled “Dreams Come True.”

Welcome to Seasonal Impressions! Brian and Fez discuss one season per episode, paced perfectly for those who binge an entire season of television on a free day, just like us! It's our first true crime story! We watched American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace. We talk about narcissists, 90's music and crime scene photos. Next week we're sticking with true crime. We're going to binge The Bundy Tapes on Netflix.
Ätzen mit "The Favorite". Staffel von "Broadchurch" (Dominik) und "American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace".

Christopher Cross and Dylan Schwan return this week to have some scares passed down to them with a review of Hereditary. And now we’re going to pass those down to you. Is it true it’s one of the best horror films since The Exorcist? What exactly is “elevated horror” and does it even matter? Will Toni Collette get the Oscar she deserves? All of these questions and more are at least entertained in this week’s review. It’s a pretty jam-packed episode this week. We’ve got your TV fix as Chris talks about the first part of the new season of Arrested Development while Dylan reflects on the second season of American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace. Plus, a double dose of HBO as we talk about this week’s episode of Westworld and Jennifer Fox’s HBO film, The Tale. Dylan also saw the new Jackass film, Action Point, and we both discuss the newest Paul Schrader film, First Reformed. There are a bunch of bad Blu-rays this week, so maybe save your money? We dabble through some of the news but mostly it’s trailer talk as the new Suspiria trailer and Widows trailer demanded our attention. Plus, there’s a little bit of White Boy Rick in there too. Next week, we will be back with a review of Ocean’s 8. You can find Film Fallout every week on iTunes, Soundcloud, Stitcher, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, as well as anything else that pulls an RSS Feed. Feel free to share the podcast with your friends if you enjoy it, and rate and subscribe on iTunes to help spread the word as much as possible!

Hi! My name is Terry J. Aman and this installment marks my 27th episode of "VideoFuzzy," my twice-monthly progress report on cataloging more than 2,700 VHS transfers and digital recordings. In this installment, titled "Digging Dirt" I stitch together a second season episode of the FX series "Dirt," in which paparazzo Don Konkey is attacked and tied up in a Senate candidate's sex dungeon. Highlights include some fraught family dynamics and a peek at the early career of Evan Peters. In my Classic Collection I encounter cool episodes of "Rescue Me," "Psych" and "The 4400" and a BBC America production of Hellen Mirren in "Calendar Girls." Also, I'm finding episodes of the second season of "The Riches." My Current Collection turned up a few movies, a few mid-season episodes from "American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace" and some season 11 episodes of "The X-Files," which I discovered may only be about half the actual season, but I've decided is all I'm going to need of that show. In What I've Been Watching, comments on the 12th season of "Supernatural" and some followup news on "Wayward Sisters." Also, Michael Bay's "The Island," comments on "Legion" and "Deadpool 2" was awesome. Finally, I'm still planning a special episode for my first year anniversary in June, and if anyone wants to be part of that, contact me through my Facebook page or email audio or video files to tjaman1970@yahoo.com.
Hi! My name is Terry J. Aman and this installment marks my 25th episode of "VideoFuzzy," my twice-monthly progress report on cataloging more than 2,700 VHS transfers and digital recordings. In this installment, titled "This Show Needs a Doctor!" I talk about "42," a third-season episode of "Doctor Who" I recalled not liking very much the first time around, and now I'm remembering why. In my classic collection, I cataloged several episodes of "South Park," discovered follow-up episodes of "quarterlife" and "Terminal City," and explore a bit of methodology in identifying an episode of "Medium" I was having some trouble with. In my current collection, the season premieres of "The Magicians," "The Alienist," "American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace" and "Waco" tracked into view. In What I've Been Watching, I'm reserving judgment on "Avengers: Infinity War" until the all but inevitable sequel, and I'm looking forward to the "Deadpool" sequel. I've been enjoying "Legion" on FX, and last weekend I dumped a bunch of movies from my DVR, including "Fantastic Four: The Silver Surfer" (2007), "Identity Thief" (2013,) "47 Ronin" (2013), "Inside Out" (2015), "Freaks" (1932), "Murder on a Honeymoon" (1935), "The Thomas Crown Affair" (1968) and "Gaslight" (1944).

Hi! My name is Terry J. Aman and this installment marks my 24th episode of "VideoFuzzy," my twice-monthly progress report on cataloging more than 2,700 VHS transfers and digital recordings. My Friday Night Feature highlights the pilot episode of HBO's "Dead Like Me" as edited for rebroadcast on SciFi, with a breakout on Dolores Herbig herself, Christine Willes, and her several appearances through my media collections. Christine Willes in "Dead Like Me" Christine Willes in "Reaper" Christine Willes in "Supernatural" A crowdsourcing attempt, Exhibit D, settled out of court when I was able to track down on my own the source of three clips from, as it turns out, "Rockstar Supernova" off CBS. My classic collection turned up the pilot episode of "Psych," the CG-heavy NOVA presentation of "The Elegant Universe" with Brian Greene and strong episode installments of "Rescue Me," "Monk" and AMC's "Hustle." My current collection turned up a PBS presentation of 2013's "Hawking" about the life of physicist Stephen Hawking in his own words and interviews with family and friends. Also, the BBC America presentation of "An Adventure in Space and Time" -- a sort of making-of dramatization of the first seasons of "Doctor Who" -- the "Doctor Who" Christmas Special 2017 "Twice Upon a Time" and a look back at the Peter Capaldi and Stephen Moffat eras, along with a couple of Mark Twain award presentations and the series premiere of "Happy!" In What I've Been Watching, some comments on the finales of "The Alienist," "American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace" and "The Magicians," as well as the live version of "Jesus Christ Superstar" and oh my yes: The second season premiere of "Legion," which destroyed my ability to even. Finally, in "Video Outreach," I helped Nancy Pearson, a theater friend of mine in Minot, with transferring a half-dozen VHS tapes of Stanley, N.D., speech and music nights and an all-school reunion dating from the late-'80s and early-'90s that she said turned up in a housecleaning enterprise. Following the transfer, I was able to hand them off to her and get some reactions. Good to check in!

Hey guys! This installment marks my 21st episode of VideoFuzzy, my twice-monthly progress report on archiving more than 2,700 VHS transfers and digital recordings. First, thank you to podcaster Fei Wu for sharing my comments along with those of a couple dozen other podcasters on her Fei's World Podcast mini-episode 140, "How to Embrace the Plateau as a Podcaster" (link) For this one I'm joined by writer Kymn Files to discuss "quarterlife," both her stage version and NBC's. I break into a new binder of DVDs in my current collection and find a Prairie Musicians feature on singer-songwriter Brenda Weiler. And in what I've been watching, "The Magicians," "Working Buddies," I pick up the first season finale of "Claws," and some realizations about "American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace." Happy viewing!
Heller to måneder i fengsel enn tre uker på Gjøvik, si.
Hey Clinkers, Aaron here -- I am out of town this week so welcome to an episode Jack and I recorded on a Monday. We never record on Mondays. It was weird. In this episode, we cover the pending return of "Magnum P.I.," The CW's new "feminist" angle for "Charmed" and the awful new version of WGN America. Also, Aaron had an Aziz Ansari conundrum he really needed to work out ... just listen, you'll see. NEWS HIGHLIGHTS THIS WEEK: 19.8 million viewers tuned into the 60th Annual Grammys, which is a 24% drop in ratings from 2017 — and it's an all-time low in viewership for the awards show CBS officially ordered reboots of "Cagney and Lacey" — described as "a reboot of the iconic series about two female police detectives and friends who keep the streets of Los Angeles safe" — and "Magnum P.I." — described as "an update of the classic TV series and is set in Hawaii. It follows Thomas Magnum, a decorated ex-Navy SEAL who, upon returning home from Afghanistan, repurposes his military skills to become a private investigator." SYFY has renewed "Happy!" for Season 2 Netflix has renewed "Fuller House" for Season 4 The CW has officially ordered a pilot for the new "Charmed" reboot series. It's been a year since the network announced the show, which was originally supposed to take place in the '70s. The network has allegedly scrapped the '70s theme for a "feminist angle," according to the show's official synopsis. The synopsis goes on to say, "the sisters will use their witchy powers for 'vanquishing supernatural demons, tearing down the patriarchy, and maintaining familiar bonds.' In this installment, I explore the second season of Canadian masterwork "Slings & Arrows." I track the first couple episodes of "Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency," an outrageously good episode of "Family Guy" from 2005, a Christopher Guest submission "For Your Consideration" I'd completely forgotten about (along with a few even more forgettable entries). My current collection turned up "Class," "Machete Kills" and another disc mishap. In what I've been watching, there's "American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace" and “grown-ish." "The X Files," grudgingly, does seem to be worth a look, "The Magicians" and "Happy!" continue nicely, there's a spinoff planned from "Supernatural," and the premiere of "The Alienist" on TNT.
