Ulrike and her guest, Amy Wong, Founder of Always On Purpose®, dive into concrete steps on how to overcome imposter syndrome. If you finally want to learn some easy-to-apply tips on how to feel whole and confident tune in now!Imposter syndrome is a feeling of inadequacy or self-doubt despite evidence of competence and success. It affects people from all walks of life, including high-achieving professionals, students, and artists. It's often accompanied by anxiety, self-doubt, and a sense of inadequacy. To overcome imposter syndrome you can take the following steps: Recognize that it's happening to everyone. Imposter syndrome is a common experience, and many successful people have gone through it. Knowing that you're not alone can help you realize that your feelings of self-doubt are normal and not a reflection of your abilities. Forget about "should." Imposter syndrome often arises when we compare ourselves to others and feel that we don't measure up. Instead of focusing on what you "should" be doing, try to accept yourself as you are and focus on your strengths and accomplishments. Let go of your beliefs. Imposter syndrome can be fueled by limiting beliefs and negative self-talk. To overcome it, you need to identify and challenge those beliefs. You can shift from the paradigm of believing to the paradigm of knowing by gathering evidence that supports your competence and success. So the book really has been written for and who's going to benefit from this conversation is the individual who really is committed to doing well in the world and whether that's by an external standard, internal standard. It's that, you know, they're relatively ambitious. They're relatively committed. They do the work to to quote unquote thrive. And really who this book is written for is for all the folks that have done it, quote unquote, right? And still feel totally unfulfilled. Or you can look at your life on paper and say, wow, I have no reason to be quote unquote unhappy, but yet there's something missing. And it's definitely for the individual that recognizes it's not going to be doing more of the same. I just don't know what to do different. And so who's going to really benefit from our conversation today is the individual who feels that way. It's like, gosh, I'm so close to genuine inner peace. And I know I'm getting in my own way. I get that it's not going to be a bigger title. I get that it's not going to be more money, even though I swear to God, my head is convincing me that's the case. I just don't know what it is. And so that's what I think people have to look forward to is what is that and how do we have to come back? --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/nathan-leslie/message

Amy Wong says, “Life is a lot like math. It's a simple idea. But it gets complicated.” It gets complicated, she says, because we live in fear and false perceptions about ourselves. As a former mathematician, and now a transformational coach, Amy Wong has made it her mission to help people thrive by understanding that “choice” is our superpower to living a life on purpose. “…The quality of our experience of our life, is the sum total of all the choices that we're making.” Amy has faced many choices along her journey including overcoming an eating disorder and leaving her high powered job in Silicon Valley to forge a new path. Sometimes, the biggest transformation comes from the smallest mental shifts - and Amy proves this to be true! Amy applies the neuroscience and psychology of human behavior and lifts the veil to reveal what drives our reactions and how to become more intentional. You will be surprised how powerful these small perspective shifts can be.Discover what drives your desires, why you must assess how you feel, and what it means to become intentional with what you stand for. After listening to this episode you will look at your vision board differently! Tangible Takeaways:Examine the perceptual models that you create for yourself - the beliefs that you hold and the relationship you have with yourself.Ask yourself, “what is the feeling I desire?” and identify it. Grab hold of a focus point, something that is bigger than yourself, and intensely focus on that. Your confidence will grow! You're always standing for something, make it a habit to check in and ask, “what am I standing for right now?” Are you standing to be liked, to be right or for something such as connection and generosity? Mind Love • Modern Mindfulness to Think, Feel, and Live Well
We will learn: How we self-impose our suffering. How to choose “feeling it out” over “figuring out out”. A process called “painting forward” that helps you integrate new choices. Did you know that we make an average of 35000 choices per day? Look back at yesterday. How many of those choices were you actually aware of as you were making them? The thing about those subconscious decisions is, we have more control over them than we think we do. So today we're going to talk about five deliberate choices to help you realize fulfillment and joy in your life. Our guest is Amy Wong. She is the founder of Always On Purpose®. She is an executive leadership coach, author, speaker, and facilitator working with organizations like Airbnb, Salesforce, Roku, LinkedIn, Facebook, and more.
