In this transformative episode, Ulrike dives with her guest Josselyne Herman-Saccio deep into the age-old struggle between living our dreams NOW versus deferring them to the ambiguous notion of 'someday.' Join us as we unravel the profound impact of shifting your mindset from waiting for 'someday' to embracing the power of the present moment. Many of us fall into the 'someday' trap, where our aspirations are perpetually postponed. Whether it's losing those 10 pounds, starting a new company, moving to Paris, or pursuing any other dream, 'someday' becomes an elusive safety net that shields us from immediate action. But what if we told you that 'someday' doesn't exist? What if we removed that safety net? What dreams would rise to the top of your priority list? The key lies in bridging the gap between 'someday' and reality. By setting concrete deadlines and asking ourselves, "By when?" we transform vague desires into actionable goals. It's about dismantling the limiting beliefs that hold us back and focusing on 'how' instead of 'why not.' Every time we identify a limiting belief, we open up new possibilities for action, leading to remarkable results. We explore the importance of being, doing, and having in realizing our dreams. Contrary to popular belief, having a goal doesn't automatically lead to happiness or fulfillment. Instead, connecting with our dream source fuels our actions and drives us towards our aspirations. Moreover, we discuss the power of choice in our lives. No matter the circumstances, we have the ability to choose our response and who we want to be. Your actions, or lack thereof, reveal your true desires. If you're not taking steps towards your dreams, it's time to confront whether you genuinely want them or if limiting beliefs are blocking your path.Join us on this journey of self-discovery and empowerment as we help you bridge the gap between 'someday' and 'today.' Uncover the limiting beliefs that stand in your way, learn to set actionable goals, and become the person who has a say in your life. It's time to embrace today and live your dreams now, rather than waiting for an elusive 'someday' that may never come. Tune in NOW, your dreams are within reach, starting today.Thank you for listening to our show “Empowering Female Leaders”. We hope you found it informative and inspiring. In this inspiring and transformative podcast episode Ulrike and her guest Robin Osborn, Executive Coach, unveil the mindset shift we can make to move from procrastination to taking bold actions to achieve our goals.Robin speaks from her personal perspective as she faced a life-altering event when she discovered she had a brain tumor. Prior to this pivotal moment, Robin's days were burdened with the weight of obligations and tasks, leaving her feeling stuck in the repetitive pace of life. However, the gift of a second chance at life opened her eyes to a profound realization – life is about the choices we make each day, cherishing it as a precious gift, and embracing the power to shape it on our own terms.Robin unveils that the key to living life to the fullest lies within our mindset and the recognition of our true unique abilities. Often, we unknowingly place obstacles and barriers in our path, creating an inner glass ceiling that limits our potential. The extent to which we let this self-imposed glass ceiling hold us back determines how much we procrastinate and become stuck, unable to take the necessary actions to achieve our aspirations.A crucial step to breaking free from this self-inflicted restraint is to question ourselves honestly: What does an amazing life look like? This becomes the starting point for forging a path toward our dreams. It requires stepping into vulnerability and embracing discomfort, as true growth and transformation emerge when we push beyond our comfort zones. The podcast emphasizes the importance of being comfortable with discomfort, as this mindset shift allows us to tap into our unlimited potential. Armed with a crystal clear and laser-focused plan, the journey toward our dreams is set in motion. Moreover, the acceptance of failure as a natural part of the process grants us the permission to stumble and learn along the way.Consistency becomes a cornerstone for progress. Each week, we must address the obstacles that impede our path and adapt accordingly. As we maintain this unwavering commitment, a profound shift occurs – we no longer perceive limitations; instead, we recognize our inherent nature as limitless beings.Thank you for listening to our show. Join Ulrike in an inspiring conversation with Eva-Marie Lander, CFO of Daimler Truck Financial Services, as they explore how to successfully combine a Leadership role and family life. In this episode, they challenge the notion that being a mother and a C-Suite executive are mutually exclusive roles. Eva-Marie advocates for a more holistic perspective, where one's life is viewed as a seamless whole, with 24 hours to navigate various responsibilities, whether it's being a parent, a CFO, a leader, a friend, or more. She emphasizes the importance of authenticity and reflection, urging listeners to consider who they truly want to be in every aspect of their lives, rather than compartmentalizing their identities. Setting clear priorities and making plans are crucial, but Eva-Marie also encourages listeners to be flexible and attuned to their own needs and those of their families. She shares her empowering insight that family life has the potential to strengthen certain characteristics while challenging others. For instance, patience might not have been her forte, but becoming a mother demanded it and ultimately enhanced her leadership skills. Ulrike and Eva-Marie shed light on the gender biases that persist in the workforce, where working mothers are often labeled as such while working fathers are simply seen as caring parents. They discuss the common trap that women fall into—feeling guilty or inadequate at both work and home. To overcome this, they suggest a simple shift in perspective: imagine how they would view themselves if they were fathers and apply the same compassionate lens. Moreover, Eva-Marie recommends to listeners not feel confined by existing structures or beliefs that certain possibilities are off-limits due to employers' restrictions. Instead, she encourages them to explore various options and embrace their trailblazing potential. Ulrike explores with Lucy Gernon, founder of Powerhouse Revolution, five concrete actionable steps that are game-changing when it comes to overcoming self-doubt and building confidence. Now is your time to step in and step up! The world is changing and we need more powerhouse female leaders to shift corporate culture and make a big impact. Stop holding yourselves back playing small and chase your big goals! Confidence comes from taking action and it takes 66 to 365 days to actually form new neurological pathways in the brain. So if you've been thinking a certain way about yourself for 40 years, it's going to take a little bit of time for you to really change your mindset. But be reassured! By following the five steps of Lucy's method you can make a substantial shift from self-doubt to self-confidence.1. Create Awareness: Get started by exploring your thoughts and becoming aware of your thinking, especially in situations where you feel a lack of self-confidence.2. Collect evidence: Are people actually really thinking that you are not good enough or is this just your interpretation of their reaction? Is their reaction maybe not related at all to you but to something that is personal to THEM?3. Own your superpowers: Now take a step back and look at the big picture and ask yourself “What facts or data do I have to support the fact that I do deserve to be in this role?”4. Power up with perspective: Pick three people and ask for constructive feedback. You can ask questions like “ What do you think my strengths are?” or “What do you think I'm good at?” because when you ask what are you doing well, then you can do more of that.5. Empower yourself: This is about identifying your repetitive, automatic negative thoughts that happen subconsciously and bringing them to the surface. Ulrike and her guest, Amy Wong, Founder of Always On Purpose®, dive into concrete steps on how to overcome imposter syndrome. If you finally want to learn some easy-to-apply tips on how to feel whole and confident tune in now!Imposter syndrome is a feeling of inadequacy or self-doubt despite evidence of competence and success. It affects people from all walks of life, including high-achieving professionals, students, and artists. It's often accompanied by anxiety, self-doubt, and a sense of inadequacy. To overcome imposter syndrome you can take the following steps: Recognize that it's happening to everyone. Imposter syndrome is a common experience, and many successful people have gone through it. Knowing that you're not alone can help you realize that your feelings of self-doubt are normal and not a reflection of your abilities. Forget about "should." Imposter syndrome often arises when we compare ourselves to others and feel that we don't measure up. Instead of focusing on what you "should" be doing, try to accept yourself as you are and focus on your strengths and accomplishments. Let go of your beliefs. Imposter syndrome can be fueled by limiting beliefs and negative self-talk. To overcome it, you need to identify and challenge those beliefs. You can shift from the paradigm of believing to the paradigm of knowing by gathering evidence that supports your competence and success. In this episode, Ulrike is joined by special guest Maja Miller, a Metabolic Health Coach. Together, they delve into the fascinating topic of leveraging the connection between the body and the mind to reduce stress and achieve goals more efficiently and joyfully. Our biography shapes our biology, and when we constantly stress ourselves in various aspects of life, it affects our body's biology, subsequently influencing our mental well-being. This interplay between the body and mind is the key connection we'll be exploring in this episode.Maja takes a comprehensive approach to understanding the physical and mental state of individuals. By analyzing different components, she can gain valuable insights into a person's well-being. Are we experiencing stress, anxiety, or perhaps even depression? Once we identify the areas where we lack, we can make informed decisions and take action accordingly.Instead of focusing on better time management, Maja's approach to managing chronic stress is about differentiating its root causes. She highlights three main sources of stress: emotional, physical, and biochemical stress. Emotional stress arises when we feel overwhelmed and unsure where to begin. Physical stress stems from past experiences, such as a traumatic birth or an accident. Biochemical stress can be triggered by factors like excessive alcohol consumption, inadequate sleep, or the use of over-the-counter drugs.Once we understand the underlying causes of stress, we can implement targeted changes. This may involve adjusting our diet, modifying our workout routines, or reevaluating how we allocate our time. However, none of these changes will be effective unless we cultivate the right mindset. Achieving sustainable change requires a high level of commitment to the process, embracing the mind-body connection as the foundation.Additionally, when seeking to transform our nutrition or exercise habits, it's crucial to take manageable steps and find pleasure in the process. The human mind is wired to avoid pain and seek pleasure. Therefore, any attempts to change habits that go against these inherent drivers will likely be short-lived. Understanding and harnessing these drivers is vital to long-term success, whether it's adhering to a new diet or staying consistent with a fitness routine.Join Ulrike and Maja as they unravel the intricate relationship between the body and mind, providing practical insights and strategies to reduce stress, increase efficiency, and find joy in the pursuit of our goals. Learn how to align your biology with your desires and cultivate a mindset primed for lasting change.Tune in to this episode and unlock the power of the mind-body connection in your own life.About Maja MillerMaja Miller is a metabolic health coach and functional diagnostic nutrition practitioner. I am diving with Elle Ballard, Life & Abundance Mentor, into the world of entrepreneurship and discussing the challenges faced when transitioning from being an employee to becoming your own boss. Being an entrepreneur can be a rewarding journey, but it's essential to navigate the path with awareness, confidence, and inner peace. Let's jump right in!One of the most important factors in entrepreneurial success is choosing something you love doing. Building a business requires dedication and persistence, and if you're passionate about your work, it becomes easier to stay committed even during challenging times. However, based on our experience there are a few watch-outs you should consider:One of the first things to keep in mind when starting your entrepreneurial journey is the importance of spending money wisely. As you embark on this new venture, be mindful of your finances and make strategic decisions to ensure long-term sustainability.Another common pitfall is underestimating the time it takes to break even. While you may have an unwavering belief in your product or service, it's crucial to maintain a realistic outlook on how the market will respond. Take the time to conduct thorough If you're currently employed, consider utilizing that time to begin building or preparing your business. This proactive approach can help shorten the period during which you won't generate a substantial income. By taking advantage of your employment, you can make progress toward your entrepreneurial goals while still having a stable income stream. As an entrepreneur, you'll be responsible for driving your own success. This requires self-discipline, passion, and unwavering energy. Every day, it's up to you to take action and move closer to achieving your goals. Stay motivated and committed to the vision you have for your business.Managing social media platforms can be overwhelming, especially when you're starting out. Instead of spreading yourself too thin, focus on two or three platforms where your target audience is most active. By doing so, you can invest your time and efforts into nurturing a strong online presence. Additionally, consider repurposing your content across different formats to save time and reach a wider audience.Lastly, avoid comparing yourself to others who may seem more successful. Remember, you don't know their entire journey or the sacrifices they made to reach their current position. Focus on your own progress and celebrate your achievements along the way.We hope these tips have provided valuable insights and encouragement as you embark on your entrepreneurial path. Remember, it's a journey filled with ups and downs, but with determination and the right mindset, you can turn your dreams into reality.Thank you for tuning in to Empowering Female Leaders. In this episode, Ulrike and her guest Lisa Haisha, a life coach with an MA in Spiritual Psychology, go deeper into depicting the imposter syndrome and how you can turn it into your superpower.Imposter syndrome is the inability to believe that we deserve that success or that our success has been legitimately achieved as a result of our skills. As long as we are not clear about what thoughts run through our heads, our imposters can quietly distract us from ambitious challenges, although we would be very well able to master them. In this episode, Ulrike and her guest Chloé Oestreich, leadership coach, consultant and speaker, share an impressive number of great tips on how to develop executive presence by acting in three core areas: vocal, physical, and mental. Effective communication is not just about the message, the words, and the language – rather, it's about a leader's executive presence, their inner confidence, mindset and whether they have the ability to inspire and lead through their vision. Executive presence is created on three different levels:1 - Vocal: Our voice is over 5x more powerful than the actual words we speak. It is therefore important to become aware of our pace, volume, tonality and pitch. 2 - Physical: Our body language is even 8x more powerful than words. Women often have a tendency to fall into low-status poses. What are the poses you are taking on? Taking high-status poses, in turn, not only helps you to appear more confident it also changes the chemicals in your body and enables you to feel stronger on the inside.3 - Mental: It is important to be clear about your intent when joining a meeting and to be present in the moment. Are you having this chaotic mind chatter when you enter a room? Then deliberately focus on the other people and start to listen carefully. This helps you not only to be more present but also to switch from an inward focus to an outward focus. If you want to get a heap of practical tips that you can apply right away to increase your vocal, physical and mental presence, tune in to this episode now!About Chloé Oestreich:Chloé is a leadership coach, consultant and speaker. Join Ulrike with her guest, Odille Remmert, a Subconscious Reprogramming Specialist and Empowerment Coach, as they share easy-to-apply techniques to trigger a mindset shift. Tune in if you want to learn how to produce positive emotions that enable you to become more productive and creative. In this episode, Odille shares insightful information and creates an understanding of the life-changing Remmert Method. This method is based on three simple facts:1. Thoughts are connections between neurons (nerve cells) in the neocortex of the brain, and those connections trigger matching chemicals: Positive thoughts trigger “feel-good” chemicals, and negative thoughts trigger stress chemicals.2. Stress chemicals cause blood to drain from the prefrontal cortex of the brain (where we do our cognitive thinking). This means that when we're in a negative emotional state, we literally can't think straight - because we don't have access to the part of the brain we need for: problem-solving; comprehending information; strategizing; noticing opportunities; and all other higher levels of thinking.3. Implicit childhood memories provide the “evidence” that proves our self-image and worldview. In turn, our self-image and worldview provide the foundation for our unconscious decisions and actions. And those memories can be changed to the opposite, positive, and empowering!About Odille Remmert:Odille Remmert and her husband, Steve, created The Remmert Method, based on the latest in neuroscience, along with their own experiences and overcoming challenges along the journey, and the experiences of their clients. They've developed simple, powerful techniques and tools that empower their clients and followers to get fast, natural, automatic, permanent results.About Ulrike Seminati:Ulrike Seminati is a long-standing senior executive, coach and author. Unconscious gender bias remains a significant barrier to women's career advancement. It is also difficult to identify and prevent. In this talk, Ulrike speaks with her guest, Selvi Supuriamaniam, an HR leader focussing on women leadership, about the different shades of bias and how to thrive anyway.Bias happens on two different levels. One level is the bias from the outside when someone else is taking decisions or actions regarding ourselves and when these actions are influenced - consciously or unconsciously - by our gender, skin color or other reasons. This external bias can be mitigated by better communication, an open approach to the topic, and by building alliances with other people to bring the topic to the table.Another bias that might have an even more significant influence on our life and career is our own internal bias. Even though we believe that we see the “reality”, we are all having an interpretation of facts and incidents that are biased by our upbringing and beliefs. Understanding our own bias is therefore most helpful to overcome the inner obstacles that these create and to empower ourselves to seize the opportunities that life offers us.About Selvi Supuriamaniam:Selvi is an HR leader with high enthusiasm for Diversity and Inclusion focusing on women in leadership. She has played various roles in HR for the past 15 years in both being a business partner and specialist. She is currently based in Dubai with her family. Join Ulrike Seminati with her guest, Poonam Buchar, as they talk about how to step into your power by embracing your emotional pain as part of you. You can't move forward if you live in the past. In this episode, Poonam will share her method SAFE from the Pain to transcend the darkness of pain and illuminate your way to the beautiful life waiting on the other side.Surviving sexual assault, attempted suicide, and an arranged marriage is one thing. Processing all that pain so you can live a full life after is something entirely different. In the shadows of emotional pain, survival can take priority over healing. Peace and empowerment after trauma are possible—when you embrace your pain as part of you. After trauma, Poonam Bhuchar reemerged as a survivor and reclaimed her power. In this episode she shares with us her SAFE method:S = Stop and accept that you are in pain: There's a cultural belief that you're weak, that society is going to place a judgment as soon as you admit that you are in pain. But the truth is it's okay to fail. It's okay to feel less than insecure and fearful as long as you learn to overcome it. A = Accept responsibility for where you are and the decisions that you've made. Even though we are not in control of what is happening to us we are in control of how we deal with it. It is not about blaming yourself - it is about empowering yourself in taking things in your hands and stepping out of the victim mode.F = Forgiveness. Forgive somebody who hurt you is a gift that you do not make to the other person but to yourself. By forgiving you empower yourself to move forward and to no longer put your energy into people or circumstances who hurt you. E = Embracing yourself and your journey. If you truly want to embrace yourself you have to accept the mistakes you make and the journey you are on. Then you can achieve inner peace and power and manifest what you want in life. About Poonam BucharPoonam Bhuchar is a speaker on overcoming trauma and emotional pain in order to live a happy, fulfilled life. Born and raised in London, she immigrated to the United States at 21 and experienced a multitude of painful challenges such as sexual assault, abuse, and the aftermath and cultural humiliation of divorce. Throughout her journey, she developed the SAFE Method to help others acknowledge, discuss, and grow from their emotional pain without stigma or judgment. Learn more at www. emotionallysafe.com.
