Kawasaki announced a new model, the KLE500, which slots perfectly into the same spot as the CFMoto Ibex 450. Both bikes fit a previously empty niche in the small adventure bike market, have solid motors, and are great bikes for the price (under $7k). So which one would you buy? We compare some of the stats and figures, coupled with Liza's assessment from her recent ride. One of the things that the Ibex does well is the chassis, making it a very stable ride for a 386lb bike. This leads Emma to talk a bit about the chassis, how the geometry works, and which ones have a reputation for being great. Stunt Misfit Bryce brings us an interview with Rosson from Austin Moto Adventures that he got while attending the TourTexas Rally last weekend. Lastly, we read listener emails and share some updates from previous shows. Nobody Wants This, Netflix's Jewy rom-com series, is back for Season 2, and the bagels are here for it. Not only did they binge-watch the show, but they also praised the show's portrayal of Jewish life, the depth of its Jewish female characters, and the show's realistic depiction of Jewish LA. Whether you watched the whole thing or checked out after 15 minutes, Esther and Erin think viewers should give this Jewish content a watch. Later, they shout out a Jewish indie project that also just landed at Netflix. Nutrition Nugget! Bite-sized bonus episodes offer tips, tricks and approachable science. This week, Jenn is talking about Royo Baked Goods, a family-run Brooklyn bakery that's making some bold claims about their bread and bagels. With nutrition numbers that seem almost impossible—80-calorie bagels and 30-calorie bread slices—Jenn knew she had to investigate what's really going on. What she found in the nutrition facts and ingredient list sparked an interesting conversation about modern food alternatives. Are these the answer to enjoying your favorite carbs guilt-free, or is something else going on here? Jenn dives into what makes these products different, what caught her attention, and why the "healthier" option might not always be the best choice nutritionally. You'll want to hear what she has to say before you place your next bakery order. Like what you're hearing? Be sure to check out the full-length episodes of new releases every Wednesday. I always try and bring the sunshine and some good energy and often I like to bring some good bagels. Today if you use your 'smellavision' link ( only kidding there is none - yet lol ) it smells like fresh bagels! I want you to meet Beth George, former attorney turned bagel whisperer and owner of Bagel-ish in Beacon, NY, and wow… this woman is rising dough and raising entrepreneurs. Beth's origin story is pure heart: in 2006 she started baking to help her son manage health and behavioral issues—researching the gut–brain connection long before it was trendy. That journey led her to develop healthier, more digestible bagels (tip: freeze, then toast—the “resistant starch” effect can lower the glycemic impact, and pairing with protein helps even more). But Beth didn't stop at a great bagel. Through Bagel-ish and her consulting/training work, she now teaches entrepreneurs how to open thriving bagel shops—in the U.S. and 12 countries (from Ethiopia to Sweden to Taiwan!). Clients range from one-store startups to multi-location operators. One early client even made it to Shark Tank and later exited big. Want in on the bagel business? Startup ballpark: ~$450K on the lean end; many projects land $450K–$800K (retrofits can be closer to ~$200K). Revenue targets: to make the math work, plan for roughly $1.0M–$1.8M in annual sales and aim to keep about 25% by managing labor, food, and occupancy with discipline. Pro move: repurpose a former food location to save big on buildout. Why her bagels stand out Focus on healthier wheat formulas (tastier + more gut-friendly) Real-world training on formulas, equipment, SOPs, and projections A founder who blends legal rigor, R&D, and insane passion (her BYOB—Bake Your Own Bagels—shirt says it all: Passion Makes Perfect). If you're heading to the Hudson Valley, pop into Bagel-ish, 226 Main St, Beacon, NY. If you're dreaming of opening your own shop, Beth's training center and consulting might be your best first step. Listen to my full conversation with Beth George on The Debbie Nigro Show and get inspired to turn that bagel dream into a blueprint. Learn more: bagel-ish.com

145,000 miles in 145 days. Wow, just wow. Patrick 'Old Man' Cornell just set a new long distance riding record, not just by beating the old record of 100,000 miles, but adding in the previous record of 45,000 miles. When I heard this, I wondered what kind of superhuman could achieve this? How much planning did he do? How much luck did he have? But most importantly I wondered "Why?" Pat answers all those questions and more for us, but most importantly is the answer to the question "Why?"; to raise money for Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy. Give a listen and join us on the journey with him. Oh, and also, Liza bought a new bike. To share your passion of motorcycles with friends is fun, but sharing your passion of motorcycle racing with your daughter is even better. Annie grew up watching her dad John race, and at a very early age asked when she could get her own bike. Through him she discovered the same passion for racing motorcycles as her dad, starting out on smaller bikes and working her way up to now, where she and her dad are racing on identical bikes. They have formed the Itty Bitty Racing Committee and travel together to racetracks, wrenching, riding and camping side by side. On this episode of Taste Buds with Deb, host Debra Eckerling speaks with Alan Silberberg, an award-winning author, cartoonist and children's TV creator, whose latest book is “The Bagel Who Wanted Everything.” This funny, heart-warming story of a plain bagel's quest to see what else is out there in the world is the latest in his series of silly kids' books about Jewish food; other titles include “P is for Pastrami” and “Meet the Latkes.” When asked what it's like to be in his head, Silberberg says, “”It's like going up a really beautiful hill that sometimes you trip and then fall very fast into a big, splashy pool of chicken soup. I'm up, down, making things up … coming up with characters; it's a fun life.” Silberberg loves drawing food; it's the gateway to every kid, every family. “It's like a muscle memory for your tummy,” Silberberg says. “There aren't enough good funny stories about food, especially Jewish food; I have the Jewish funny food niche.” Silberberg shares his journey from loving to doodle, to working in kids TV, to author. He also talks about his favorite Jewish foods, bagel preferences, fun with food characters, and how to live an everything bagel kind of life. “My books allow kids to enter the story and not identify as the kid, but go, ‘Oh, I'm kind of like that bagel,'” Silberberg says. “There's something safe about … being able to connect [and identify] with a food.” To learn more about Alan Silberberg go to silberbooks.com and follow @alan_silberberg on Instagram. Charlotte Kainz was just a kid, and even though we never met her, we have a lot in common with her. Like us, she was obsessed with bikes since she was little. She got her first bike, a PW50 at the age of four, and with her family's support, starting racing flat track at a young age. It was a family affair, and they could be found most weekends at the local track, where the owners treated everyone like extended family. It was here that our guest, Wendy Schneider, first met Charlotte and started interviewing her back in 2006 for her documentary on women flat track racers. It was only after Charlotte's untimely death on the race track in 2016 (where Stumpy John witnessed the crash in person) that Wendy realized the film needed to be about her and her extraordinary life. Wendy talks about the making of the film, getting to know Charlotte, her family and all of the other riders. This episode takes a more philosophical twist. We are joined by The Existential Biker, Louisa Swaden, whose new book The Stoic Rider: Philosophy in Motion has just been published. After decades away from motorcycling Louisa returned in her 50s as a nervous novice with a fear of speed. Which makes her story all the more extraordinary because within the space of eighteen months she went from being afraid to go over 50mph on the freeway to racing at Bonneville and setting land speed records at Pendine Beach in Wales. Louisa attributes her success to her stoic mindset and her decision to just say Yes! to opportunity, even when you're not ready.
