Within the many letters of the LGBTQ+ spectrum, non-binary individuals embrace identities outside the traditional binary of male or female, challenging societal norms and fostering a more diverse understanding of gender. Often overlooked, non-binary visibility is crucial in dismantling stereotypes and building a more inclusive world where individuals of all gender identities can authentically express themselves while being recognized for their unique contributions. In this episode, Travis McMaster, public speaker and host of Caffeinated N' Queer, joins us to share their gender identity awakening, the importance of non-binary visibility, and resources for those who are exploring their gender.Related Episodes:Listen to Episode 08. Despite the letter B in LGBTQ+, many people, both within and outside of the community, tend to discount the experiences of bisexual people. This ignorance has resulted in bi-erasure, a pervasive problem in which the existence or legitimacy of bisexuality is questioned or denied outright. In this episode, my friend, Sam McClain, joins us to discuss her experiences as a bisexual woman, common misconceptions, and how we can end bi-erasure.Additional Resources:Bisexual ErasureSam McClain - FacebookSam McClain - TwitterGet Your MerchSupport the show

This time, Felicia Rose and ALove did some legwork and obtained some of the materials teachers in Denver Public Schools use to teach health classes. They read through the sex ed sections and compare the guidlines and handouts to the rough research they did last week, and make some pleasant discoveries. Colorado is one of the few states that have to teach actual facts, and our hosts head the bill that made that law and another that built from the bare minimum. Ms. Rose does some teacher roleplay and we formulate some questions to ask real, actual educators next week.Catch up on all the NQO happenings at NewQueerOrder.com and follow the Screw on Twitter and Instagram

***TRIGGER WARNING: Mentioning of bi erasure, invisibility and biphobia.*** Sorry for the delay on this episode, folks! Been an extremely busy time constantly trying to play catch up and starting to feel a bit of burnout which I need to address. BUT I do have this week's episode and it's our very first fan-requested episode! A fan really wanted me to try and get this week's guest, Amber Stark, on the show and I reached out to her and her manager and voila, an episode was born! It was really great getting to know Amber during our conversation and we speak about her relatively new entry into porn and the pitfalls of entering the porn industry as a student. The main bulk of the episode centers around Amber's sexuality. Amber identifies as bi, and we discuss her sexuality, what it was like coming out to her close peers and family, and the animosity that comes with her identifying as bi. We speak about all of the bi deniers out there, where it mainly comes from, the dichotomies that are ever-present when speaking about sexuality, and how she copes with it all. Bisexual awareness month is September and we decided to go back into our archives and re-release an episode we recorded a while back. Why? Because today is a new day but this information is still important and relevant, So with that...This week we start a multi-part deep dive series dissecting Bisexuality. A few months ago we had a listener send us a series of research papers regarding bisexual peoples. We dug through those papers and are attempting to give you an overview on all of the amazing scientific information inside. This week, in part one, we define Bi-Erasure and Bi-Invisibility. We review the health risks that bisexuals face, we discuss overall life satisfaction, and we address minorities within minorities. This one is a bit heavy and not our normal jovial conversation, but it is no less important. So go grab a drink! Curt and Katie talk with Dr. Mimi about how often Bi+ people are left out of the conversation (and training) regarding LGBTQ+ people, the consistent erasure and exclusion Bi+ people face, the biases that show up in the therapy room, and how therapists can better prepare themselves for working with the largest segment of the LGBTQ+ community. It’s time to reimagine therapy and what it means to be a therapist. Didn't you know? It's 20-bi-teen! What better time to get schooled on the ins and outs of bisexuality. In this ep, a couple from season 2 return to talk about the difference between being bi and pansexual, and what it's like when everyone around them assumes they're straight. Plus queer author and columnist Emily Writes comes out in her 30s and we ask some bi and pan teens if biphobia is something they're familiar with.

This week we start a multi-part deep dive series dissecting Bisexuality. Then, sit back, enjoy, and as always, thank you for listening!Find us on social media!!!On Twitter @BytheBiPodcastOn Facebook @BytheBiPodcastOn Instagram @BytheBiPodcastOr email us hereWant to help us out? This week we need to appologise a little as we missed last weeks episode. Technical problems abound and it just wasn't going to happen. This week there is still technical issued going on but we did at least get the episode out. Political Warning We do get a little ranty on politics this week. Not a huge surprise considering the attacks and the general election we have just had. If that isn't your thing then I'm sorry about that but we just can't seem to let it go. Book Recommendation Chav: The demonization of the working class by Owen Jones. While I don't know how biased the author is he does go into a lot of detail on what has happened in British Politics and how one group of people have been specifically attacked for no reason other than being poor. It's a tough read in places but worthwhile. Rope Bondage Last weeks article was written by Emmeline Peaches on how for some Rope Bondage is a form of meditation and can help them release their anxieties. It isn't going to work for everyone but for some it is just perfect. Bi-Erasure This week ACoupleOfKinks are talking about how she came out to her partner and what being "bi" meant to her. How she struggled to even realise that is what she was and by reading other peoples accounts she was able to process her own feelings and understand who she was. It is a great read so do check it out on the site.
