Brian provided the soundtrack to so many characters of our childhoods, whether as a writer or actor. As we continue the amazing conversations we got while at exocad Insights 2024 in Mallorca, Spain, we want to thank again the good people at exocad that made all this possible. This episode brings us three fantastic conversations with 3 fantastic people. First up is Dr. Marcus White from England who is one of the UK's foremost opinion leaders in digital dentistry and intra oral scanning. Dr. White talks about his on-site lab, utilizing remote designers and milling centers, and his view of the full arch workflow. Next is UK lab owner, Ashley Bryne. Ashley is the son of a lab owner that told him not to get into the business. It's a great thing he didn't listen to him, because now Ashley owns Brynes Dental Lab, one of the biggest labs into digital and implants in England. Ashley talks about his journey, why his labs uses both exocad and 3shape, bringing technicians to Insights, and being a part of the Conus Group of laboratories. Then we wrap up the episode with Seth Potter. Since the age of 12, Seth knew he wanted to be a dental technician. After school and working in a lab, Seth soon found himself needing a new direction. So, he got a laptop and exocad and started looking for work. Now he's not only a freelance designer but also a Independent Certified exocad Trainer. Bisexual Brunch along with Nichi, Ashley and Lewis were included in the UK Pride Power List 2021. Lewis managed to stay in the list in 2022 and soared to No 79 while MIM, the production company behind Bisexual Brunch was also named UK Production Company of the Year 2021 (Silver winner). Most recently it was revealed Bisexual Brunch's listening figures are in the top 10% of podcasts worldwide - and the show reaches 108 countries, more than half the world! Ashley outlines the Bisexual Brunch specials challenging the political parties in the run up to the General Election and Sarah from Scotland 'Asks a Bisexual' - she's 28 and never dated a man before. How should she go about it?
George Layton is prolific - he's done the lot - and he's still working in his early 80s. Both an actor and screenwriter, his career stretches from the early 50s and Children's Hour and working with Violet Carson (who played Ena Sharples in Coronation Street), through years as a star on shows like Doctor in the House and It Aint Half Hot Mum, via cameos on The Likely Lads and semi regular roles in Minder and more. He's also a big friend of Richard O'Sullivan, so we'll no doubt find out how he is.This is the first of a series of interviews we're sure as there's so much more to talk about with George who was also in EastEnders, Doctors, Casualty, French and Saunders (The list goes on)....plus there's all those scripts he's written or wanted to write. In this episode, Ashley Byrne and I recap the iconic coach fashion show disruption which made headlines. We talk about the planning that went into it, the nerves, and the positive and negative backlash on social media. PETA is notorious for these kinds of actions and trust me, there's a method to their madness. In this episode we discuss the importance of disrupting the status quo and how it leads to change. Everyone wants to attack the messenger instead of actually facing the message and our last episode together was called "The Truth About PETA" where we myth bust all the false claims big ag has made about PETA. Well one thing people can't argue is that LEATHER KILLS... And that's just what my sign said.https://www.youtube.com/shorts/mYPJ0ZYA6hEHope you enjoy this episode. PETA, short for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, is the largest animal rights organization in the world with more than 9 million members and supporters globally. In her discussion with Stacy, Ashley explains how PETA's philosophy centers on the notion that animals exist for their own purposes, not for human purposes. She describes some of PETA's recent campaigns, which strive to change the way people think about animals. Ashley also talks about PETA's Mobile Clinic, its 24-hour cruelty hotline, and Beauty Without Bunnies, a searchable database of companies that don't test on animals. She stresses the importance of knowing where your products come from. Additionally, Ashley describes PETA's stance on TNR and encourages pet lovers to adopt their pets from shelters rather than buy them from breeders. To learn more about PETA, visit their website.
