(00:00-24:11) – Query & Company opens on a Tuesday with Jake Query, Jimmy Cook, and producer Eddie Garrison discussing Jimmy and Eddie’s trip to Bucc-ees yesterday with their day off. Additionally, they start previewing this week’s game for the Colts against the Broncos with this game having a huge impact on the Colts playoff hopes. (24:11-37:44) – With Jimmy being out yesterday, he didn’t have a chance to share his thoughts on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish drawing the Indiana Hoosiers in the first round of the College Football Playoff. Jake asks for his opinion on the game and which team he will be rooting for come next Friday night. (37:44-45:55) – Last night the Indiana Hoosier cruised to a victory over the Minnesota Golden Gophers. Jake and Jimmy share some of their takeaways and explain why they are still hesitant about believing in this Hoosiers team. (45:55-1:11:17) – Stephen Holder from ESPN.com makes his weekly appearance on Query & Company to discuss the biggest game of Anthony Richardson’s football career (high school, college, or professionally), admits that he doesn’t really know what to do with Adonai Mitchell right now, believes that the Colts defense has become very dependent on creating turnovers to get stops, and answers Jake’s trivia question about his Miami Hurricanes. (1:11:17-1:20:19) – Over the weekend the Indiana Pacers lost to the Charlotte Hornets for the second time this season. Jake and Jimmy have a conversation about where things are at right now with the blue and gold following Rick Carlisle’s comments this morning on the Wake Up Call with KB and Andy. (1:19:42-1:28:19) – Hour two of the program concludes with Jake asking Jimmy and Eddie if we should continue something that we started last year. (1:24:08-1:55:01) – Scott Agness from Fieldhouse Files makes his weekly appearance on Query & Company to weigh in on how much the Pacers are missing Aaron Nesmith right now, explains what the team is having to keep in mind as they start exploring trades for backup centers, doesn’t know what to attribute the lack of chemistry to just yet, and opines on he believes is going on with Tyrese Haliburton. (1:55:01-2:03:46) – With the Query & Company Fantasy Football League playoff set, Jake reveals which four teams made it in the inaugural league. Additionally, they touch on the top basketball recruit deciding earlier today that he will be playing at BYU next season. (2:03:46-2:15:33) – Today’s show ends with the JCook Plays of the Day and JMV joining the guys in studio following their conversation about the importance of this week’s NCAA College Basketball rankings!Support the show: https://1075thefan.com/query-and-company/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Send us a textIn this comprehensive episode of *2 Giants Goofballs: New York Giants News & Updates*, Drew and Rob tackle one of the most significant shake-ups in the New York Giants' recent history. The spotlight is on Daniel Jones, who publicly addressed the media for the first time since being demoted to third-string quarterback. His heartfelt and introspective statement reflected on his six-year tenure with the Giants. Jones expressed immense gratitude to the Mara and Tisch families for the opportunity to play for one of the NFL's most storied franchises. He extended thanks to his teammates, coaches, and staff, acknowledging the strong relationships he built and the support he received throughout his journey. However, Jones did not shy away from taking responsibility for his struggles. He openly admitted that his inconsistent play contributed to the team's lack of success this season, adding that he wished he could have done more to help the Giants win games. Despite the disappointment, Jones struck an optimistic tone about the future, expressing excitement for the opportunities that lie ahead in his career and reaffirming his love for the game. The episode delves into the surreal sight of Jones being used as a scout-team safety during practice, a role that underscores just how far he has fallen from being the team's cornerstone quarterback. Drew and Rob discuss the implications of this move for both Jones and the team as a whole, questioning whether the organization is handling the situation appropriately. Former Gmen and current Bucc, Shepard warned that DeVito has the tools and mindset to surprise opponents, a sentiment that should resonate as the Giants look to snap their five-game losing streak. The hosts also shine a light on rookie running back Tracy Jr., whose production has been a bright spot in an otherwise challenging season. Tracy's stats, including over 545 rushing yards and three 100-yard games, put him well ahead of most rookie running backs this year, including Bucky Irving and Ray Davis. Beyond the Giants, this episode offers a broader view of the NFL landscape with a detailed look at Week 12 matchups. The hosts analyze key games like the Minnesota Vikings vs. Chicago Bears, featuring two teams trending toward low-scoring affairs. They explore betting angles, player performances, and injury updates, providing fans with insights to watch for on Sunday. Other matchups highlighted include the Detroit Lions facing the Indianapolis Colts in a game that promises offensive fireworks, and the New England Patriots taking on the Miami Dolphins, with Miami's dominance over New England as a major talking point. The episode builds toward Sunday Night Football, where the Eagles meet the Rams in a critical NFC clash, and Monday Night Football, featuring the Ravens and Chargers in a matchup of offense versus defense. This episode is packed with thoughtful analysis, raw emotion, and a blend of optimism and realism for Giants fans. Whether you're invested in Daniel Jones' legacy, curious about Tommy DeVito's potential, or just looking for NFL-wide insights, Drew and Rob deliver a detailed, must-listen breakdown of all tSupport the showAll Episodes are shot LIVE with fan interactions on Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, & TwitchSponsor the show at: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/2giantgoofballsInterested in starting a podcast. This is another episode about how CHANGE…the only constant in life. lol The only constant is change. Everything must change. Man plans and God laughs. These quotes remind me of how important it is to learn to go with the flow of life. Have you ever made a plan, and just watched it completely fall apart? Yep, that's what happened to me over the long weekend last week. My hubby, TD and I were planning to visit his family in Tennessee over the 4th of July weekend. I packed everything and we were on the way. We stopped at Bucc-ee's, yep, again. Lol. TD hadn't been able to reach his father, so I reached out to his aunt, Del in the parking lot of Love's, which is across the street from Buccee's. We went there because, well Buccee's didn't have hot chocolate, TD likes to mix hot chocolate with coffee. Interesting. We sat the parking lot talking to both his aunt and his father and we made the decision to turn around and go back home. Covid-19 was increasing in the area so we headed back south. Luckily, we were only about an hour and a half away when we stopped. Let the adventure begin, I thought to myself with slight irritation. I mean I had packed and we were turning around and going back home. That meant I would have to unpack. Welcome to change. On the road. I had been texting with two of my oldest friends, Suzanne and Gina, I mentioned them in episode 2024 - Week 3 - Know the Stages of Grief. We've known each other since I was about five. Suzanne has been in the area helping with her husband's mother and I randomly asked where she was. Well, she was in Kennesaw. And we were in Acworth, not too far away. Hmmm. I texted. Where in Kennesaw? She told me she was getting a pedicure and the name of the shop. Sounds like a stop to me. Thanks to technology we found the shop and I was able to stop by and have a random chat and get some hugs. On our drive back towards home we were trying to find a place to eat lunch. All of the places we stopped by were closed for the Fourth of July. I suspect because many people cook out and those restaurants were not barbecue places. About 30 minutes closer to our home we stopped by a barbecue place that was open. We got something to eat, and I noticed a young woman who was leaving and called out her name. It was an intern that I knew from when I worked at PriceWaterhousecoopers, Pwc, over seven years ago. We hugged and agreed to reconnect via LinkedIn. We finally made it home about six hours later. I thought about the emotions I felt throughout the day. Traveling can make me feel a little antsy, and it was hot. In the span of a day, we have so many feelings and emotions. Here I just a few I experienced: • Agitation - last minute packing/unpacking. • Sadness - I no longer have parents, grandparents, aunts, or uncles • Joy - seeing my oldest friend, Suzanne • Hangry - hungry and angry • Grateful - to be home and sleep in my own bed Did I do some deep breathing throughout the day? I sure did. When I find myself getting agitated, my go to breathing practice is to breathe in for a count of four and out through my mouth for a count of seven or eight. Change will happen. Do you stop planning? I don't think so. Life continues to be a practice in adaptability and flexibility. I believe everything that happens is purposeful. I have not seen my friend Suzanne since the funeral we attended in January for Gina's mother. It was great to see her and laugh and get a few hugs. Life is full of change. We can be mad or create adventures. Embrace change. Be kind. And much more. My book, Why Struggle? Life is too short to wear tight shoes is filled with 25 practices and five meditations and affirmations to help you manage this unpredictable journey called life. I am learning to laugh more and be less serious when change happens… because it will. What about you? How do you manage lives on predictable changes? --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/barbara-faison/support

The honorable Judge Dan Jacobs opens the second half of today’s shortened show telling us about his field trip up to Bucc-ee’s and plenty of other hot spots up north. Dan discusses the oddity of seeing the Rockies on TV and not the championship teams that reside in The Can and why the Rockies were able to get a deal and not them. All this gives Dan some cause for concern for what implications it might have for the future of sports. Dan concludes today’s show answering texts from our listeners.

Some might say throw caution to the wind, but as we all know, safety is actually a very important topic. The boys get together to discuss some tips to make sure you're safe on your next adventure. Also, John brings the heat with some hot take's about Bucc-ee's.
(00:00 - 24:36) - The Friday Edition of Kevin & Query begins with the news of the Colts new alternate jerseys and the Washington Commanders being sold. What team, other than the Colts, has a logo that changes color when sold at retail compared to the players uniforms. The Colts news jerseys aren't that special, they are cool, but Jake and Marc don't think it will really move the needle in terms of appeal. (24:37 - 26:56) - Morning Checkdown (26:57 - 45:08) - Greg Rakestraw of the ISC Network and Soccer Saturday stops by the show for a quick spot discussing women's soccer both internationally and in Indianapolis. Rakestraw says the gap in skill between America and the rest of the world is starting to shrink. Other countries around the world are starting to take soccer more seriously. Canada, Spain, and Germany are all becoming serious threats. The segment closes with callers discussing soccer at Lucas Oil Stadium, and the Colts uniforms. (45:09 - 1:09:44) - More Colts jersey talk. What if this is an audition for a new standard Colts jersey? Now that the Washington Commanders have been sold, the team may be changing its name and imaging again. A caller has some stories for Jake. Jake and callers go on a trip down memory lane with Indianapolis hosting the Pan-American Games. (1:09:45 - 1:23:56) - A final caller involving the Pan-Am games. Mark has concerns about the Colts schedule this year. With the team's lack of cornerbacks there are several offenses that could pose a major threat against the team this year. Mark runs down the list of teams and Jake gives his levels of concern on each individual team. Depth is the Colts biggest concern this season. (1:23:57 - 1:32:44) - Indiana State Fair Ticket Giveaway (1:32:45 - 2:00:52) - George Bremer of the Anderson Herald Bulletin joins the program to talk about the Indianapolis Colts upcoming season. Bremer also gives his initial view on the new Colts jerseys. Talk turns to Shaquille Leonard's health coming up to the 2023 season, and while the video he released is encouraging, nothing is really set in stone until he is finally back on the field and up to speed. Bremer believes that Jonathan Taylor's contract is more concerning than Leonard's health. He also believes that Anthony Richardson is the main choice for starting week one at quarterback. Michael Pittman Jr. as the Colts primary receiver is going to have to also help be that reliable source for Richardson. Training camp with fewer and shorter practices seems to be more of a hinderance than a help to Bremer. (2:00:53 - 2:12:29) - Pop Quiz (2:12:30 - 2:20:02) - Jake can stop a Bucc-ee's competitor Wally's on his way to Iowa.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Bo and Blake talk food, fun and dad jokes in the first hour of the show live in the BankPlus Studio. The guys start the day talking a little Y'all Lifestyle as Blake grills Bo on his un-American takes on Bucc-ee's and Mexican food. The guys look at this weekend's action in the NCAA Tournament and discuss why everyone should be cheering for San Diego St. against Alabama in the Sweet 16. Bo gives his thoughts on why sports fans in San Diego are so weird when compared to other places around the country. With today being National Goof Off Day, Blake shares a recent study that showed dad jokes are an important part of growing up when it comes to social development. That leads to a chaotic discussion around the best dad jokes, and listeners weigh in with some of their favorite jokes. Bo and Blake debate which SEC coaches could be goof-off guys, and which ones probably starch their boxers on an off day. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

This is a uniquely special episode where I was invited down to Giga Texas to interview Elon Musk. I don't think we need an introduction, here--we all know who he is. The audio was edited by one of my best friends, Hart Deer (lead singer of Soulfire, an Atlanta-based rock group) and @TeslaHerbert Elon opened the fudge I'd brought him from Bucc-ees, and a few horns honked in the background as we were in a factory. So I apologize in Elon invited me to come back since I didn't get to ask all of my questions--he was incredibly focused on working in the factory and I'm grateful for the time he took with me. So there will, eventually, be a Part 2 to this episode. In this episode, we talk about: SpaceX and the light of consciousness, Starlink and helping with disasters, his work with the Musk Foundation, the declining birthrate and the role poverty plays in it, one critical solution that would lift people out of poverty, Tesla, Tesla's new justice and legal department, Tesla Energy and the work it's doing in Texas to help the grid and we also touched upon AI.
