That's a wrap on the High School Musical franchise (at least until Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure...). Though not perfect, we agree this is a decent end to the HSM stories, but we think we both would've liked it more if it were a DCOM. I didn't mention it in the podcast, but the fact that it wasn't a DCOM made it a little exclusionary. Like this came out in 2008 PRIME RECESSION time and I'm sure plenty of young kids who watched the first 2 movies come out weren't able to see the movie in theaters because it was another expense (DCOMs are already a lil exclusionary because you had to have Disney Channel to watch them, but that kinda feels like another step).
