With so many dozens of albums over so many wildly disparate eras, it can take a lifetime to truly get your arms around Bob Dylan. On this episode, Kirk is joined by two guests who have spent their lifetimes doing exactly that. Matt Sitman and Sam Adler-Bell, in addition to co-hosting the terrific political history podcast Know Your Enemy, are both lifelong Dylan fans. This spring, they came on the show to give listeners a tour of Dylan's many eras, and to give newcomers a place, or places, they might start getting to know him better.DYLAN SONGS DISCUSSED, IN RELEASE CHRONOLOGY“Blowin in the Wind”  and “Corrina, Corrina” from Freewheelin' Bob Dylan, 1963 (and as sung by Peter, Paul and Mary)“Like A Rolling Stone,” “Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues,” “From a Buick 6” from Highway 61 Revisisted, 1965“Subterranean Homesick Blues,” “Mr. Tambourine Man,” and “Outlaw Blues” from Bringing it All Back Home, 1965“Rainy Day Women #12 & 35” and “Pledging My Time” from Blonde on Blonde, 1966“All Along the Watchtower” and “I'll Be Your Baby Tonight” from John Wesley Harding, 1967“Lay, Lady, Lay” and “Girl from the North Country” (with Johnny Cash) from Nashville Skyline, 1969“Knockin' on Heaven's Door” from Pat Garret & Billy The Kid Original Soundtrack, 1973“Forever Young” from Planet Waves, 1974“Tangled Up in Blue” from Blood On The Tracks, 1975“Hurricane” and “Romance in Durango” from Desire, 1976“Changing of the Guards” from Street-Legal, 1978“Serve Somebody,” and “Do Right to Me Baby (Do Unto Others)” from Slow Train Coming, 1979“Saved” from Saved, 1980“The Groom's Still Waiting At the Alter” and “Lenny Bruce” from Shot of Love, 1981“Pressing On” and "Solid Rock" live in Toronto, 1980“Neighborhood Bully,” “Jokerman,” “Sweetheart Like You” from Infidels, 1983“Dark Eyes” from _Empire Burlesqu_e, 1985“Brownsville Girl” from Knocked Out and Loaded, 1986“Sylvio” from Down In The Groove, 1988“Everything Is Broken” and “Most of the Time” from Oh Mercy, 1989“Hard Times” from Good As I Been to You, 1992“Train of Love,” Johnny Cash tribute, 1999“Pay In Blood” from Tempest, 2012“I'm A Fool To Want You“ by Frank Sinatra, Jack Wolf, and Joel Herron from Shadows in the Night, 2015, and as recorded by Frank Sinatra“Polka Dots and Moonbeams” by Jimmy Van Heusen and Johnny Burke, from Fallen Angels, 2016“How Deep is the Ocean” by Irving Berlin from Triplicate, 2017“I've Made Up My Mind to Give Myself to You” from Rough and Rowdy Ways, 2020ALSO DISCUSSED/REFERENCED:The Know Your Enemy episode about Dylan's The Philosophy of Modern Song"Moonlight Mind" by Will Epstein and High Water from Crush, 2016"Lonely Woman" by Ornette Coleman from The Shape of Jazz to Come, 1959"Rainy Day Women #12 & 35" as recorded by Tom Petty and the HeartbreakersSam's review of A Complete Unknown in The NationBob Dylan: Expecting Rain websiteEpisode one, "Weather”, from Dylan's radio show Theme Time Radio Hour, featuring Muddy Waters on "Blow Wind, Blow”Audio from D.A. We'll be diving into the surprising rise of golf carts as everyday transportation. Since the pandemic, the golf cart industry has grown fivefold into a $5 billion market. We'll discuss how communities are making them street legal and why families are trading in SUVs for carts to run errands or cruise around town and contrasting the charm with the frustrations, from traffic slowdowns to unsafe driving by teens and even kids. While golf carts weaving through the suburbs are just one example of how technology and convenience can disrupt the guardrails of safety, some people are upset that this “golf cart revolution” is creating roadblocks. And speaking of roadblocks, we all travel a different kind of road every day—the information superhighway—which brings us to our next topic: cybersecurity.Joining us is Mark Hurley, CEO of Digital Privacy & Protection LLC, a company that provides personal digital protection services to the clients of wealth managers throughout the United States and Canada. Henry welcomes dear friend and co-founder of The Bob Dylan Fan Club, Kait Runevitch to discuss 1978's Where Are You Tonight? (Journey Through Dark Heat).  Where Are You Tonight? (Journey Through Dark Heat)Written by: Bob DylanThere's a long-distance train rolling through the rainTears on the letter I writeThere's a woman I long to touch and I miss her so muchBut she's drifting like a satelliteThere's a neon light ablaze in this green smoky hazeLaughter down on Elizabeth StreetAnd a lonesome bell tone in that valley of stoneWhere she bathed in a stream of pure heatHer father would emphasize you got to be more than streetwiseBut he practiced what he preached from the heartA full-blooded Cherokee, he predicted to meThe time and the place that the trouble would startThere's a babe in the arms of a woman in a rageAnd a longtime golden-haired stripper onstageAnd she winds back the clock and she turns back the pageOf a book that no one can writeOh, where are you tonight? The truth was obscure, too profound and too pureTo live it you have to explodeIn that last hour of need, we entirely agreedSacrifice was the code of the roadI left town at dawn, with Marcel and St. JohnStrong men belittled by doubtI couldn't tell her what my private thoughts wereBut she had some way of finding them outHe took dead-center aim but he missed just the sameShe was waiting, putting flowers on the shelfShe could feel my despair as I climbed up her hairAnd discovered her invisible selfThere's a lion in the road, there's a demon escapedThere's a million dreams gone, there's a landscape being rapedAs her beauty fades and I watch her undrapeI won't but then again, maybe I mightOh, if I could just find you tonightI fought with my twin, that enemy within'Til both of us fell by the wayHorseplay and disease is killing me by degreesWhile the law looks the other wayYour partners in crime hit me up for nickels and dimesThe guy you were lovin' couldn't stay cleanIt felt outa place, my foot in his faceBut he should-a stayed where his money was greenI bit into the root of forbidden fruitWith the juice running down my legThen I dealt with your boss, who'd never known about lossAnd who always was too proud to begThere's a white diamond gloom on the dark side of this roomAnd a pathway that leads up to the starsIf you don't believe there's a price for this sweet paradiseRemind me to show you the scarsThere's a new day at dawn and I've finally arrivedIf I'm there in the morning, baby, you'll know I've survivedI can't believe it, I can't believe I'm aliveBut without you it just doesn't seem rightOh, where are you tonight?  Follow @songsofbob, @henrybernstein.bsky.socialIf you would like to support hosting my podcasts, please check out my Patreon where for $5 I will give you a shout out on the podcast of your choice. Ford has introduced the Mustang GTD Spirit of America, a tribute to the iconic American car that has been part of American culture since 1965. This week, we have an exclusive interview with an expert on the car. We caught up with Brandon Turkus, Ford's Enthusiast Vehicles Communications Manager, at the Chicago Auto Show for the inside scoop on the vehicle Ford calls the fastest production Mustang ever built. The model honors the American spirit of ingenuity and perseverance, as well as the 60 years of Mustang achievement.   The Mustang GTD Spirit of America features exposed carbon fiber aerodynamic elements and unique exterior trims. The all-new 2025 Mustang GTD sets a new performance bar with 815 horsepower, 664 pound-feet of torque, and a top speed of 202 miles per hour. And that's only the beginning of the story. We'll have much more in this episode. In the news this week, a reliable report says Chevrolet plans to drop one of its conventionally powered SUVs from the U.S. market after this model year while emphasizing the battery-electric version. We'll tell you which one and the surprising place where the gas model will continue to be sold. Elon Musk has announced that Tesla will launch its robotaxi service much earlier than expected, and we'll have details on that. A new electric vehicle charging network has just gone into business, just as automakers call for the resumption of work on the federally sponsored EV charging infrastructure, which has built a paltry number of charging stations so far. You might be sick of tariff talk, but the Administration has announced tariffs on steel and aluminum that could have an impact on what you pay for your next car. We'll have our thoughts. On the road test front, Host Jack Nerad will put the 2025 Mazda3 through its paces. His test car was equipped with an increasingly rare piece of kit — a six-speed manual transmission, and Nerad will tell how he liked the car on a 500-mile round trip to the Central California coast. Meanwhile, on the other coast, Co-Host Chris Teague road-tested the all-new version of the Nissan Kicks small crossover SUV, and he'll have his report. She was also a series regular on “Street Legal”, a reboot of one of Canada's most successful and long running drama's, and has recurred and starred on the CW's “Family Law”, “The 100”, ABC's “The Crossing” and she will be starring next in CW's “Superman and Lois.” But beyond her acting accolades, Yvonne holds a special place in the heart of "Reppin" as a three-time guest and a dear friend. As I mark this significant occasion, who better to join me than Yvonne, who has been a big part of my journey? Yvonne leads my 100th episode, switching roles as host while I, Evelien, become the guest. Though I'm not at ease in this position (to say the least), I trust Yvonne and knew I would be in good hands. As she leads the conversation, you'll discover more about me, my background, and the journey that led to the creation of "Reppin." It's a chance to peel back the layers and share insights into my life beyond the mic. So join us as we raise a toast to 100 episodes of meaningful conversations, laughter, and friendship. Tune in as Yvonne Chapman takes the reins in this special milestone episode of "Reppin!" Subscribe to REPPIN for a unique blend of Hollywood insights and real-life lessons, offering universal wisdom for navigating the industry, life in general and fostering positivity, equity, unity and integrity. Also discussed are other considerations around a carb to EFI conversion.A faster car needs better brakes, with the factory setup, including drum brakes on the rear, being retired in favour of an Arizonzacar brake package that includes Willwood 4 piston callipers and 12.5" rotors. The car also utilises an ABS system from an E46 M3 BMW, and Darren runs us through the requirements, including yaw, pressure and speed sensors. The drivetrain sees a 240SX gearbox mated to a 280Z bell housing, Quaife diff and CV axles to put the power to the ground, and a shortened driveshaft and Techno Toy mount kit to help get and keep it all in place. With most owners ditching their L series in favour of an RB26 or LS V8, it's nice to see this 240Z chassis simply modernised vs radicalised and with 40-50hp more as planned, this car is undoubtedly going to be even more of a weapon on track.

At this point in time, Casa de Colores is the only humanitarian, direct-action group in El Paso that helps LGBTQIA+ migrant refugees in need with stipends and resources for clothing, food, clean water, shelter, transportation, and communication (cell phones and telecommunication services). Casa de Colores is filling a necessary gap for this population with our dedication and the support of our donors. We are working tirelessly through advocacy, legal and social aid, and by providing resources for migrant refugees that identify as LGBTQIA+, predominantly trans and those living with HIV/ AIDS. These resources include clean water, food, clothing, shelter / shelter referral, telecommunications services, social worker and immigration lawyers on call, medical care, and - for very special circumstances - stipend services (cash in hand).
