Author and researcher, Stephen Sakellarios, believes that his former reincarnational lifetime as writer Matthew Whittier actually co-authored the original version of A Christmas Carol, long attributed to Engish author Charles Dickens. Stephen has researched documents that to him prove that the original manuscript was passed to Dickens instead of him managing to write and publish it within six weeks as originally portrayed. To discuss this and other aspects of reincarnation on The Paranormal Peep Show is Ben Emlyn-Jones and Neil Ward.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/paranormal-uk-radio-network--4541473/support.
Durband did not send me a description, so, I'll try one of these...see if I can do my best here! The Get My Go crew honors BB's request, and grants him a third episode! It's not all fun n' games though, as Dean The Aussie Guy (of the brilliantly comedic 'United States of Australia' podcast) finally "breaks" K100 & The Raven Effect's Joe Feeney, who tosses his usual calm and thoughtful analyses aside for yelling, cursing, and revenge fantasies! The Chadster (Eyes Up Here w/ Francine) debuts his Engish accent (in response to Hughezy's recent Australian accent,) and Mike Durband attempts to steer the show and stay the course during the most out of control GMG ever!Plus how will the crew respond when hearing, for the first time, some audio in which Vince Russo has to figure out how to sternly lecture a grown man who emailed him with the grammar and attitude of a small child, while also placating him from throwing yet another spoiled rich boy tantrum?* *Run on sentences brought to you by The Creative Control Network (and Jack Kerouac)
This week on WADR, our hosts are living up to the aim of the show (conversations with respect and grace) with an Easter special on ... GRACE!Grace is of course a concept strongly associated with the cross of Christ. It is a word Christians chuck around - but do we have a good understanding of what it means? And can grace even be immoral?'The Secret Life of Us' then makes a return, with Michael and Megan sharing episodes in their life when they had grace shown to them. Finally, on 'Through The Wardrobe' our hosts give their take on The Engish, a grizzly western reboot about an aristocrat bent on revenge in the new world. Can grace be shown to those who've taken everything from us?WADR is hosted by Megan Powell du Toit and Michael Jensen. It is part of the Undeceptions podcast network.

Dr. Slavick is one of the contributors to the National Committee for Effective Literacy's White paper on Comprehensive Effective Literacy Policy and Instruction for English Learner/Emergent Bilingual Students. She currently serves as the director of professional development for the Literacy Squared program at the BUENO Center at the University of Colorado Boulder. She received her Master's Degree in Bilingual Special Education and her Ph.D. in Educational Equity and Cultural Diversity. Prior to obtaining her Ph.D., Jody worked as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, and district resource teacher in bilingual education and English as a second language programs. Dr. Slavick shares that there are multi-dimensions of literacy in all grade levels - in order for our students to be literate, our classrooms need to centered around interacting with a variety of languages, even in Engish medium classrooms. Students need to be engaged with using their entire linguistic repertoires as much as possible - we need to encourage students to tap into all of the knowledge they have in all of their language. All new learning is based on previous learning, and we cannot cut off all of the language learning that is happening outside of the classroom. The Friday Newsletter | Daily Gardener Community Historical Events 1763 Birth of Jean-Paul Friedrich Richter, German Romantic writer. He's remembered for his humorous novels and stories. He once wrote, When one reads a poem in January, it is as lovely as when one goes for a walk in June. 1902 Birth of Harry Lutf Verne Fletcher, ("Luh-tf")(pen names John Garden and John Hereford), Engish writer. Harry wrote many books on gardening. In Purest Pleasure (1948), he wrote, Who has learned to garden who did not at the same time learn to be patient? 1917 Birth of Richard Henry Martin Robinson, gardener and professional horticultural photographer. He was regarded as one of the top gardeners of his generation. In 1955, Richard and his wife, Helen, began creating a spectacular garden at Hyde Hall set on 400 acres and nestled among the prairie wheat fields of Essex. Helen initially started gardening as a way to brighten up the place. Gardening at Hyde was hard. The landscape battles whipping winds and pitiful average yearly rainfalls. In summer, the clay soil is rock hard. In winter, whatever moisture there is, is locked in the suffocating clay. Early on, trees, pines, evergreens, and heathers were installed to provide structure and winter interest. Foxtail lilies and roses added color that the garden so desperately needed. Together, Richard and Helen transformed Hyde Hall into a garden masterpiece. In 1993, nearly forty years after the Robinsons bought Hyde Hall, the garden was gifted to the RHS. Grow That Garden Library™ Book Recommendation The Essentials of Garden Design by John Brookes This book came out in 2008, and it is a garden classic. John Brookes was a master garden designer who perfected his craft over five decades. And although John passed away in 2018, he is still regarded as one of the significant garden-makers of the late 20th century. John's books (like today's recommendation) continue to inspire and instruct gardeners with simple and timeless wisdom. John always began his design projects with his famous grid system. And in this book, The Essentials of Garden Design, he walks you through that process as well as everything you need - the tools, the techniques, the plants, the building materials - to create a garden that looks like it belongs in the landscape. So whether you're planning a large installation or just something small and functional, you can't go wrong with John as your guide. This book is 192 pages of garden design mastery from a man who firmly believed that gardens were about the people who lived in them. You can get a copy of The Essentials of Garden Design by John Brookes and support the show using the Amazon link in today's show notes for $2.51. Botanic Spark 1905 Birth of Phyllis McGinley, American poet, and writer of children's books. Her poems were often light-hearted and humorous, offering a clever examination of daily life in the suburbs. In 1961, Phyllis won the Pulitzer prize. She won a Pulitzer prize in 1961 for her book, Times Three, which featured seventy poems written over three decades in the mid-1900s. A gardener, Phyllis once wrote in The Province of the Heart (1959). The trouble with gardening is that it does not remain an avocation. It becomes an obsession. And here's a little poem Phyllis wrote called Daylight Savings Time. In spring when maple buds are red, We turn the clock an hour ahead; Which means each April that arrives, We lose an hour out of our lives. Who cares? When autumn birds in flocks Fly southward, back we turn the clocks, And so regain a lovely thing That missing hour we lost in spring. Thanks for listening to The Daily Gardener And remember: For a happy, healthy life, garden every day.

Lois is the founder of Bee Loud Words and delivers workshops for kids on how to live well, be healthy and happy. She describes herself as a bouncy Tigger! You'll find out why when you listen, but maybe that should be 'bounce back Tigger! Lois has been on quite a journey in her life. As a child, she bounced from vicarage to vicarage with her family before becoming an Engish teacher eventually head of the department. She married a headmaster and had two sons. However, at the age of 49 and for the sake of her mental health she knew things had to change, she divorced and started the business. Her aim is to pass on to as many young people as possible the life hacks she's learnt along the way, to improve their resilience, mental health and playfulness. I also learn how being a Vicars daughter is great for business networking (who knew?) and how we all have transferrable skills we can bring from one career to the next, no matter how different those careers may be. Plus, I learn how you can make literature come to life by using a cracking German accent! Enjoy! Today's Media Roundtable discussed some of the top stories in the First Coast, including: Florida's pandemic death toll surpassed 50,000 people on Thursday after a summer surge fueled by the highly contagious delta variant of the virus that causes COVID-19. City Councilman, former mayor and longtime public servant Tommy Hazouri was laid to rest Thursday amid stories about his loyalty to Jacksonville. Hazouri died last Saturday after developing complications from a lung transplant. He was 76 years old. On Tuesday, Gov. Ron DeSantis announced that lawmakers will consider a proposal during the 2022 legislative session to end the Florida Standards Assessments. The statewide Engish language arts and math exams are given annually to students in third through 10th grades. DeSantis says he wants to eliminate the exams and move to a different way of evaluating students. I went to check the pronunciation and I think I managed to get close to the correct pronunciation, Olga Tokarczuk is a Polish writer, one of the greatest representatives of literature in her country, and among other things she won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2018. I had never read anything by her. A few days ago, I got her book translated into Italian "The Tramps" and despite being a book of how many… 300, almost 400 pages, I have almost finished it and I cannot put it down. How to define this book? First of all, it is very well written, and it must also have been translated very well, because you know that when we sometimes you read a book in translation and it sounds a bit strange, maybe it has not been translated well but a novel published in Italy by Bompiani, I imagine that Bompiani, especially when it comes to the Nobel Prize winner, put the best translators at work. "Flights" [English title] is a fantastic book. It is difficult to tell what it is about, it is a novel but it is not even a novel, let's say that several images are told almost as snapshots. There is one that particularly struck me and that I read while I was at the airport and which is actually called "The airport". In these couple of pages, the author reflects on the fact that today large airports have become almost a sort of small nations themselves, she begins by saying that while once airports were built outside the town, now they are getting closer and closer to the center, and actually it is the city that is built around the airport, and airports have their hotels, their restaurants, their shopping malls, their places of worship and then she continues saying that they only just need to be recognized by the United Nations because they already have everything else, we all have our passport for this country, this nation that is the airport, passport and identity card are our boarding passes, and this analogy is really pushed to the extreme but in an incredibly natural way, and those who have spent many hours at international airports waiting to transfer between planes, will perfectly recognizes her/himself in all these descriptions. This book, which I repeat, [English title] is called "Flights", and as always I will put the notes in the text of the program, yes this book is about many things, but basically is about being human. I absolutely recommend reading, a fantastic summer reading whether you are on the beach or on top of a mountain.

I think all of us should have a dream, and what we should do is try our best to acheive it!The next song we want to share is《Dream It Possible》.The song is Huawei BG consumer brand song. Carrying high Huawei brand spirit: believe in yourself, dare to challenge, chasing the dream. The Chinese singer Zhangliangying released them in Chinese and English double single 《My dream》and 《Dream it possible》.Dream needs through the grinding time, ravaging experience, may also experience confusion. Some peple say that no matter how the Huawei mobile phone is ,the beautiful song is deeply in my heart !The lyric‘Never quit and never stop' passes on the power and hope. 插曲: Get Ready for It C:If you don't go after what you want, you'll never have it.If you don't ask,the answer is always no.If you don't step forward, you are always in the same place. The next song we're listening to is Get Ready For It,sung by a great Engish group Take That. But to be frank,I don't know about it so much,on account of it's early establishment in 1990 and early break-up in 1996.But,I do know the movie Kingsman,of which Get Ready For It is the end song. The movie relates a story how a problem guy achieved his dream to be a kingsman and saved the world. The encourage lyric of the song is also related to the movie for instance,You are a fool or a king's man only you know. The whole arrangement is of great momentum. It just catch your ears at the first tone. 插曲: 3 things B:3 Things is a song from Jason Mraz, it's like a breath of fresh air that can make you comfortable. Based on characters created by Edgar Rice Burroughs, Alexander Skarsgard stars as John Clayton III of Greystoke Manor, an earl living comfortably in London during the Victorian Era, whose past has made him something of a legend, where he was orphaned and raised by apes until adulthood. Margot Robbie plays his wife Jane, who was once saved by Tarzan while she was exploring the jungles of the Congo, soon entering into a steamy relationship with the feral man who would soon come to learn the customs and laguage of a proper Engish gentleman, abandoning his former life. Christoph Waltz emerges as the main nemesis, playing Captain Leon Rom, an emissary from the floundering Belgian regime who has been sent to the Congo in the late 19th Century in order to propogate, by any means necessary, the extraction of valuable diamonds from the mostly tribal lands, which they've also sought to colonize for further exploitation. Chief Mbonga, one of the powerful heads of those tribes, agrees to give Rom the riches he's seeking if the Belgian is able to secure Tarzan to him. To fulfill his part of the bargain, Rom entices Clayton to return to his former stomping grounds, ostensibly for humanitarian purposes. In tow are Jane and a U.S. envoy to the region named George Washington Williams out to thwart what he feels is the continued enslavement of Africans of the region. When Rom kidnaps Jane in order to bring Clayton out to the open, the latter finds himself having to use his old skills of the jungle to bring down powerful forces seeking to upend all that he has come to hold dear in this world.
We could call this memo, “The Poodle and The Vamp, Part Two,” but we won't. No one likes the sequel quite so much as they liked http://mondaymemo.wpengine.com/newsletters/the-poodle-and-the-vamp (the original.) Talent isn't rare. Our world overflows with worthy talent that continues day-to-day unrecognized. I'll wager that you possess such talent. There is something you're capable of doing, I'll bet, that could make you famous around the world. Your fame might even happen in a whoosh, the way it did for Billy, Tom, and Ted. Billy Graham started preaching in 1947. In 1949, Billy set up a circus tent in Los Angeles, certainly not the first to do so. So there he was, night after night, just another preacher with a tent, when two words forever altered the trajectory of his life: “Puff Graham.” William Randolph Hearst, the newspaper mogul who inspired the movie, Citizen Kane, sent that unexplained, 2-word telegram to every editor at every newspaper he owned in America. The next day, papers from coast to coast were glowing with stories about this Christian minister. Hearst never told the papers to quit puffing Graham. And they never did. In his book, Just as I Am, Billy Graham says he never learned why Hearst took an interest in him. “Hearst and I did not meet, talk by phone, or correspond as long as he lived.” Billy Graham was, and is, remarkably talented. But so are 10,000 other ministers. Every poodle needs a vamp. “Tom Clancy was an insurance salesman in Maryland when, in the early nineteen-eighties, he wrote a book, ‘The Hunt for Red October,' that Ronald Reagan, with a handsome public mention, turned into a best-seller. Clancy's career took off like, well, like one of his rockets. Too nearsighted to serve in the armed forces, Clancy, who kept a tank on his front lawn, was a military fantasist whose end-is-nigh concoctions spawned a franchise…” – David Denby, The New Yorker, Jan. 20, 2014, p. 78 Reagan played vamp for Tom Clancy just as Hearst did for Billy Graham. But what about Teddy Roosevelt? Wasn't he one of the most popular and beloved presidents in the history of the United States? Nope. Not really. His policies and decisions were as hotly debated as those of Barack Obama today. We think of Roosevelt as “one of the great ones” primarily because his monumental face watches over America from Mount Rushmore along with Washington, Jefferson and Lincoln, the undisputed big boys of American history. Roosevelt's vamp was Gutzon Borglum. Borglum was not commissioned by the government to create Mount Rushmore. It was a private work begun by a private individual. And that individual was a buddy of Ted Roosevelt back when Teddy was still alive. Roosevelt had been gone for only 8 years when Borglum began his carving. If Gutzon Borglum was only just now beginning to carve that granite in South Dakota, he might chose Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln and Carter because Gutzon answered to no one but himself. That is the power of a vamp. Do you believe in someone? Vamp for them. The Wizard of Ads partners are known throughout the Engish-speaking world because we have agreed upon a covenant: Never boast of your own accomplishments but only those of your partners. “You vamp for me. I'll vamp for you.” It's called “third party credibility,” or at least it used to be. Today they call it “feedback,” “comments” and “customer reviews.” Billy, Tom and Ted went viral before it had a name. But one thing remains the same: A poodle needs a vamp. Every business is a poodle. Every ad writer is a vamp. How good is yours? Roy H. Williams
