Authors Stephanie Woodfield and Karen Storminger join me to discuss their new book - Prayers to The Morrigan. In this book you will find prayers to the many guises of The Morrigan, her many animal forms, as well as prayers for multiple situations in life. Prayers To The Morrigan is an exercise in devotion to the Great Queen through words and images.  Stephanie Woodfield (Orlando, FL) has been a practicing Pagan for the past twenty years. A devotional polytheist, teacher, and Priestess of the Morrigan, she is one of the founding members of Morrigu's Daughters and is an organizer for several Pagan gatherings. Stephanie teaches classes on devotional work and magical practice in the US and internationally. A long time New Englander, she now resides in the Orlando area with her husband, two very pampered cats, and various reptiles. In her spare time she enjoys creating art out of skulls and other dead things. She is called to helping others forge meaningful experiences with the Morrigan, as well as the Gods and land of Ireland. Karen Storminger has been a practicing polytheist pagan most of her life. Karen is a devotee of The Morrigan. She is an active member of the Connecticut Wiccan and Pagan Network and The Tuatha De Morrigan groups. She is one of the organizers and founding members of the Morrigan's Call Retreat. Karen has been writing poetry of all kinds since an early age. She has had poetry published in several anthologies; Bibliotheca Alexandria's “Garland of the Goddess”, “The Dark Ones”, and GirlGod publication's “Warrior Queen: Answering the Call of the Morrigan”. Karen is the co-author of the book “Prayers to The Morrigan: An Illustrated Book of Devotion to the Great Queen”.

Poppy, Zack and Alice are three friends who meet after school to play a game of fantasy and imagination. They use dolls and action figures to tell an elaborate story involving pirates, mermaids, and other adventurers. The main story involves the Great Queen, a bone-china doll who lives in the glass cabinet at Poppy's house. Zach wants to stop the game, because his father believes middle school is too old to play make-believe, but Poppy brings the friends together one last time. She's been dreaming of the ghost inside of the china doll–and the ghost won't rest until the doll is buried in her grave.  Recommended in this episode: The Book of Boba Fett and Wolf Like Me UP NEXT:  “The Prayer of Ninety Cats” by Caitlín R. The Total Solar Eclipse only visible in the Antarctic Peninsula and the southernmost tip of South America and Australia is at totality at 1:33 am Central Saturday morning, December 4.  The partial eclipse opens at 1:00 am and completes at 2:06 am with the full eclipse lasting nearly an hour and totality lasting nearly two minutes. The next Total Solar Eclipse will be in 18 months. This  Sagittarius Eclipse activates Antares, the Royal Star of the Scorpion  Constellation and Mercury is aligned with the Great Attractor so the potency of our thoughts and words is increased and we can  connect to our own Royal Heart--more in my podcast.Venus at Greatest BrilliancyAs if the Eclipse weren't enough, tonight,  December 3 Venus is at her greatest brilliancy.--brightest to us--in the Evening Sky TONIGHT.  She will of course remain very bright through the coming week as she begins her descent to the horizon over the coming month. Also look for her Sunday night December 6 with the crescent moon "on her throne" as the gorgeous Love Goddess she is in her brightest Evening Star apparition.Venus is the Earth's Twin or Mirror being the same size as Earth, same composition, and spinning in the opposite direction.   There are many riddles inherent in her nature and cycles but one we have been experiencing and most powerfully today is the fact that when she is in her crescent phase (yes, planets also have phases like the Moon), she appears brightest to us. She is completing her Gemini Evening Star Phase which began in May this year.  Over that period of time she has met the Moon 7 times and in the tales of the Great Goddess Inanna this means she has reclaimed her Seven Great Powers including her Crown of Sovereignty and now sits on her throne fully exalted. The Sumerian priestess and scholar Enheduanna devoted her life to writing praise poems to Inanna/Venus.  Take note that Inanna was a Goddess of War as well as of Love. For this reason and because there were distortions in the cultures she emerges from such as systems of power over and glorification of war, I have taken the liberty of changing the words in the final stanzas to honor her new evolving and perhaps ancient nature as one who empowers EACH of us regardless of social status or rank, to claim our FULL ROYALTY and shine our light, stand for Peacemaking and contribute to the healing of the whole. If you speak these words aloud in addressing the Great Love Goddess in the Sky, the Great Queen who has regained her throne, realize she lives IN YOU whether you are in a male body, a female body, or a body defying labels.Lady of all divine powers,Lady of the all-resplendent light,Righteous Lady clothed in heavenly radiance,Beloved Lady of the Sky God and the Earth MotherMistress of heaven with the holy jeweled crownWho loves the beautiful headdress befitting the office of her high priestess,Powerful Mistress who has seized all seven divine powers,My lady, you are the guardian of the seven divine powers! You have seized the divine powers,You hold the divine powers in your hand,You have gathered up the divine powers,You have clasped the divine powers to your breast!Like a dragon you have cast your bright light upon all the landsWhen you claim your right to embody and shine on the Earth at this time, all will feel the power of your divine love emanating from within themselves.Your love so fiery and yet so sweet, offering sacred waters to heal all the dry scorched lands.O Mighty Lady of Earth and Sky you will help them to remember and Goddess of Love, the Goddess of personal Sovereignty, the Feminine Divine Rising to Bring our World Back into Balance.MORE in my PODCAST here!

Welcome to the Spiritual Sovereignty Sisterhood Podcast! I'm Constance and today we will be talking about my journey with the goddess the Morrighan. The powerful Celtic goddess The Morrighan's name means The Great Queen. She is associated with death, power, sovereignty, freedom, environmentalism, leadership, motherhood, prophecy, war, peace, fertility- sexuality, magic, protection, finding your voice, releasing codependency, and creating boundaries. You can call upon her when you need courage. If you recently went through a miscarriage, this podcast episode contains sensitive material that may not be for you. I recommend rooting into your power, your self-compassion if you have been through a miscarriage and then proceeding to listen with an open heart full of deep self-compassion. There is a spiritual meaning to why we have miscarriages and we must first move through deep compassionate allowance of our own grief without judgment or a timeframe. Pwyll goes to the Otherworld and meets the Dread Lord's Queen! In the last episode, Pwyll, the Welsh Prince of Dyfed, strikes a bargain with the Grey Lord, Death Himself - Arawn, Lord of Annwn. To make up for his great insult, he agrees to enter into single combat and fight a mighty King in the Otherworld on Arawn's behalf. Arawn uses his magic to change his shape with that of Pwyll, so that each looks like the other and then escorts him through the worlds to his castle in Annwn. In this tale, Pwyll finds his way around the Court of Arawn, seeing many strange marvels and meeting many mysterious people. As the time of the evening Feast approaches, he finally gets to meet the Great Queen herself..!
