Angel therapy is a type of alternative healing method that involves working with angels or angelic energies to promote healing, spiritual growth, and overall well-being. It is based on the belief that angels are divine beings who can assist and guide us on our life journey. Angel therapy practitioners may use various techniques such as prayer, meditation, visualization, and energy work to connect with angelic beings and receive their guidance and healing energy. The goal of angel therapy is to establish a connection with the angelic realm, receive messages and insights, and bring about positive changes in one's life. It is important to note that angel therapy is considered a complementary therapy and should not replace conventional medical or psychological treatments when necessary.

Marissa chats with Mary E. Pearson about her expanded and illustrated edition of MORRIGHAN: THE BEGINNINGS OF THE REMNANT UNIVERSE - as well as how our writing processes tend to change as each new book presents its own unique challenges; the pros and cons of writing a multi-book series; thinking of your romance storyline as a game the characters are playing, in order to imbue the relationship with loads of chemistry and tension; some insight into the process of writing a prequel to a longer work; how the insecurities we feel tend to be universal and ongoing (regardless of where you are in your career), but how tapping into your love of a story - and focusing on making it better in revisions - can help you push past those doubts.Books discussed in this episode can be purchased from your local independent bookstore or buy them online from the Happy Writer bookshop.org store (that benefits indie bookstores) at https://bookshop.org/shop/marissameyer Find out more and follow The Happy Writer on social media: https://www.marissameyer.com/podcast/

Bela Siol is back with another beautiful deck to share honoring the witches of Triora, Italy, with her new oracel deck - The Witches of Triora. The witches of this area are akin to the Seeresses of the Germanic north and others who practiced the craft. Bela has created other beautiful decks including the Oracle of Nehalennia, the Oracle of Freya, and the Transformational Oracle of the Morrighan. Bela talks about her passion for creating this deck as an honor and love project to the women who were accused of, tortured, and murdered as witches during inquisition. She also goes into her visits to Triora and how those visits inspired the creation of the deck and the ancestors who whispered to her and others. Support Bela and back the deck at https://bit.ly/3e0UMEk until October 31, 2022. Check out Bela's other offerings at www.belasiol.com and the episodes she has joined me to talk about them. In this episode, I have a soulful conversation with a powerhouse of a woman. Meet Morrighan Lynne. She's an Intuitive Life Coach, psychic empath, and author. Having received certifications through The Awakened School®, The Art of Feminine Presence®, and is a SafeSpace® Trauma Facilitator, Morrighan's style of coaching is intuitive and direct. Focusing on shadow work and trauma healing she gets to the root of the problem and goes where many don't dare.
Morrighan Lynne - Like most people, Morrighan was born with a spiritual sensitivity that she didn't understand. As early as 7 years old she can remember feeling spirits in her home, following her to bed and lingering while she slept. However she and her family didn't understand such things so she quickly learned to shut down her gifts and ignore her sensitivities to spirits. It wasn't until she became a brand new mother, living in Tucson, AZ that her mind and heart began to open to the possibilities her guides were offering. She began studying Earth Based religions, giving her the awareness of balance, honor for the elemental powers and respect of the cyclic energies of the planet. In 2001 she became a Usui Reiki Master which illustrated the importance of energy and how to conduct and focus it for not only herself but for her clients. This soon opened the doors to conversations of Angelic guidance. After moving to Boise, ID in 2005 she attended the Angelic Therapy Practitioner® Course conducted by Doreen Virtue Ph.D. This catapulted Morrighan's passion for offering Divine Services and educating others in this beautiful conversation of Divine Love.
These times are so charged. We feel the demand to respond, but you have a right to do it on your own time. Trust your timing to respond rather than react. And learn how to respond with love vs fear during our own hard times and the collective. I discuss the messages from The Morrighan, Quan Yin, and Kali. Remember Unity starts with you. We'll dive into this more in my challenge will be July 13th. Join this group for deity shadow work. Past Episodes I mentioned will help bring your A-Game Of course there is nothing wrong with seeking help to work through trauma. Even I've gone to therapy. It's a great first step. Find the healing modality that works for you. Check out NLP below

Once upon a time, when we could all travel the magickal lands of the world, many a pointy-hatted pilgrim would wind their way to a sacred site right in the middle of the Royal Arcade in Melbourne…Spellbox. A Witches home-away-from-home, Spellbox was a magickal store that is all red velvet curtains, beautiful besoms adorning colourful walls, exotic scents, lovely sounds, and essential ingredients for spllecasters spilling off the deep antique bookshelves. It’s all just a little Gothic, very beautiful and utterly enchanting. The creator of this iconic space is Danae Moon Thorp, whose personal vision, creativity and courage gave so many Southern Hemisphere Witches a glorious refuge in the heart of the city - a place to remember that they were indeed magickal. Now Danae Moon Thorp has written and published her very first book - Becoming the Witch: The Art of Magick. Its prose is lyrical and poetic, the information sound and true, and it is an absolute joy to read. Of course, it’s also beautiful. I could not wait to have Danae on the show to speak about creating Spellbox, the ups and downs of the 20-year-history of this landmark boutique store for discerning Witches, and the stories and spells behind the writing of her first book. In this soulful conversation, Danae speak about the link between Imagination and Witchcraft, how to rekindle the fire of your wild mind and spirit, and ways to reimagine your craft, activate your spells, and become a Witch inspired and thus a Witch free. During tough times, the connection between your imagination and your spirit is utterly essential - please join us for a heartfelt conversation full of beauty and wisdom in our sonic sacred circle. Oh - and we play some of Danae’s fave tunes - they are AMAZING! And, given the bruising times we are within, Lucy offers a Blessing from the Morrighan - for Peace as High as the Sky…Peace Eternal. Blessed Be, beautiful souls. And may peace be with us all.Music is from:She’s My Witch - Kip TylerAnimus - Wendy Rule Hecate - Lewis BarfootThankyou to Shayne (for making this all sound so magickal) Georgia (for creating imagery that captures the enchantment) to all the sponsors - Kohli Tea and Primal Healing, Hemlock and Dagger and Blue Angel Publishing - you’re all treasures and because of you, well, the Witchcast lives and breathes. ***THE FOLLOWING EPISODE INCLUDES GRAPHIC SCENES OF SEX, DEATH REFERANCES, AND DARK HUMOR. IT IS, THEREFORE, NOT INTENDED FOR CHILDREN UNDER 15***In this episode, we explore the famous Celtic Crone: The Morrighan. Her story is one of sadness, tragedy, and beauty. She is the soul of a lost Ireland and can be invoked to help you win the battle and the war. We explore her Halloween origins and the nature of her [eclectic] attitude.Episode Highlights:* Who is “THE” Morrighan; her backstory and historical Celtic roots* The Great Rite: a dramatic reading and why it is so significant to Samhain* Exploring her ancient war goddess status and why she is feared and revered by soldiers even today* Her witch powers and how they can be of service to your life, IF you learn how to use them right* The harbinger of doom and death; why she foretells the death of heroes and how to avoid her deadly shriek* Banshee, witch, or bad-ass fairy? We explore each of these roots and her relation to the ancient Ulster Castle in both Celtic and Welsh storiesThe Morrighan is a rather unique goddess and though she lays her heart on the line both in battle and in love, she is still a mystery. One in which we hope to solve every year Samhain rolls around. This episode will help you gain both historical and spiritual perspective on her real story. For more Mythical Musings, please visit:Substack | Mythical MusingsInstagram | @mymythicalmuseFacebook | @mythicalmusingsDonations | paypal.me/mythicalmusings.comBecome a paid member of the show for exclusive episodes and more!{New and existing members click the link and hit “subscribe” for more info! @mythicalmusings. As the space race is heating up, know the signs. First comes the Raven of Morrighan, the the Dove of the Son of Man
Welcome to the Spiritual Sovereignty Sisterhood Podcast! I'm Constance and today we will be talking about my journey with the goddess the Morrighan. The powerful Celtic goddess The Morrighan's name means The Great Queen. She is associated with death, power, sovereignty, freedom, environmentalism, leadership, motherhood, prophecy, war, peace, fertility- sexuality, magic, protection, finding your voice, releasing codependency, and creating boundaries. You can call upon her when you need courage. If you recently went through a miscarriage, this podcast episode contains sensitive material that may not be for you. I recommend rooting into your power, your self-compassion if you have been through a miscarriage and then proceeding to listen with an open heart full of deep self-compassion. There is a spiritual meaning to why we have miscarriages and we must first move through deep compassionate allowance of our own grief without judgment or a timeframe. For more information on how to connect to Deities see this previous episode. To learn more about shadow work check out the episode with Azure. To learn more about the inner child check out the previous episode with Bonnie. Just for a minute, we’re going to move From the Present to acknowledge the Past, and then roll forward: So, Let’s take a look at On This Day in Irish History: 2 February 1882 - James Joyce, poet, novelist and playwright, was born in Dublin. 3 February 1919 - Harry Boland and Michael Collins rescued Eamon de Valera from Lincoln jail, after smuggling keys that were hidden in cakes into the prison. 5 February 1921 - Katherine O’Shea (76), wife of Charles Stewart Parnell (1846-91) died 9 February 1854 - Edward Carson, lawyer and Unionist leader, was born in Dublin. Moving to the present: What’s the News, What’s the News? What’s the news today? Our February issue, tho COVID reduced, is still full of info, columns, entertainment and things to do. You will find so much - food recipes, including Cooking Up a Hooley In the Kitchen: Mini-Chedder & Bacon pasties. Katie’s column is a comfort food inspiration, and one of those, “I gotta try this” recipes – the whole idea is just what a covid heart needs. Plus, there is humor, opinion, profiles and history, book and music reviews, Irish Dance news, our monthly Speak Irish Lesson and monthly Irish Crossword Puzzle. February’s puzzle subject is Towns in Clare, Limerick and Kerry. The crosswords are a great way to learn or refresh your Irish knowledge, history and folklore, and all past issues, with the crossword inside, are available on OhioIANews.com. Conor Makem wrote a great column, titled, Newgrange: Ireland’s Neolithic Gem, this month, giving the history and highlights of the structure, built even before the pyramids. His photo of Newgrange is our February front cover. And a few more pics are inside and on the website. It starts with this: My father never forced anything down our throats, but if there was one thing that came close, it was the importance of an ancient mound of stone and earth in the Boyne Valley, known as Newgrange. He used to bring the family to experience it starting in the 1980s. Back then, we could just drive up to the base of the hill, walk past the unmanned booth where someone should have been selling tickets and explore. There was often no one else there, though occasionally we’d run across someone the old man inevitably knew. Many Ohio Irish American News readers will already know about Newgrange and will have their own stories about it, but I would be remiss in my son duties if I didn’t at least dedicate one column to it. What the heck is it? Newgrange was built by stone-age farmers 5,200 years ago, making it older than the Great Pyramids of Giza and Stonehenge. In fact, there wasn’t much that boiled my father’s bottom more than the international press swooning over the 100 stones in Wiltshire while simultaneously ignoring the gem of the Boyne Valley. But, I digress. Located in Meath, just west of Drogheda in County Louth, the circular mound … When we are all done here, hop over to the website to read The Rest of the Story, or pic up the February free issue at any of our 367 distribution locations. OhioIANews Columnist Bob Carney writes about St. Brigid, and there is more than one, in his Cleveland Comhra (conversation) Column this month. Brigid is considered a patron saint of Ireland just as St. Patrick is. February is recognized as the beginning of spring in Ireland, a time of growth and renewal. The Festival of Imbolg, on the first of February, celebrated the arrival of spring as the earth awakened after the dark winter months. Goddesses were important (Dee eh dees) deities in the ancient religions of the celts, as they were thought to play a daily role in the lives of the people. Brigid was the goddess most associated with (imm molg) Imbolg. Her name means, “the exalted one”. She was the patron of poetry, craft and healing and was often called upon by women in childbirth for protection and safe delivery of their child. Brigid was the daughter of the Dagda, chief god of the (tuath de dannan) Tuatha Dé Danann, and the Morrighan. With her flame red hair, she was also the goddess of fire and hearth, and a patron of warfare. She appears in many stories in Irish mytholog. In one, she is the wife of Bres, the ruler of the Tuatha Dé Danann. Their son, Ruadan, is killed in the second battle of Magh Tuireadh after wounding the god Giobhniu. Brigid went to the battlefield to mourn his death. Caoine Keening This is said to be the first caoine (keening) in Ireland. The practice of hiring women to caoine at a graveside continued up until recent times. Brigid’s caoine was so sorrowful that it caused all of the combatants to lay down their arms at the sound of it. As a result, the warriors of Leinster would seek her protection in battle. In other stories, she is wed to a different king, and her three sons slay Cian, the father of Lugh the Long-Arm. She is still known as the “Goddess of the Well” in pagan customs, a link to the fertility and life giving waters of Mother Earth. There has been a resurgence of pagan and druadic beliefs and practices in recent times. In Lough Gur, Co. Limerick, her feast day is celebrated with “green man” dancing around the fields, symbolizing the fertilizing of the earth. In the evening, her followers gather around a communal fire and listen to stories of the goddess. Of all the Celtic deities, she is the most universal and can be found in the mythologies of Northern Britain, Scotland, Western Europe, and Ireland. Patrick’s success as a missionary was partly a result of his ability to incorporate the familiar into his message of the Christian beliefs. The story of the shamrock to explain the Trinity is one example. He took traditions of the druids in Gaelic culture and tried to explain them, according to the teachings of Christianity. Later missionaries in other parts of the world would try to erradicate old beliefs and impose their Christian ideals by any means necessary. The chieftain of Leinster, a man named Dubhtach, and his people were ardent worshipers of the goddess Brigid, and refused to recognize any teachings that cast doubt on her position as the mother goddess. Yet, this is where the origins of Brigid the saint are found. Brigid of Kildara (Kiladare) … When we are all done here, hop over to the website to read The Rest of the Story, or pic up the free issue at any of our 367 distribution locations in and around Ohio. Season 2 Episode 32: Jean-Jacques Fournier The Poetry of Crows & Ravens I am delighted and thrilled that my dear friend and poet; Jean-Jacques Fournier is with me today to speak about crows, and ravens within his poetry. As background, ravens and crows are embedded within our mythologies from ancient times. In Greek mythology the crow was a symbol of Apollo in his role as god of prophecy. In Norse mythology, Odin is portrayed by a raven. In Celtic mythology, Morrighan, the warrior goddess appears in the form of a crow or raven. Crows and ravens have been envisioned as a mediator animal between life and death. They have been known as tricksters and mischief makers. Jean-Jacques has great insight into these magnificent creatures. So put the kettle on and add to this exciting discussion, on Tea Toast & Trivia.

The Transformational Oracle of the Morrighan deck by Bela Siol This episode we are going to take a short visit to our Celtic neighbors to visit with oracle deck creator Bela Siol. Bela created the Nehalennia deck (see episode 22) and, as she is also working on a Freya oracle deck, I thought it would be nice to discuss with her about the deck she is creating for The Morrighan. The Morrighan is a Goddess of the Celtic Pantheon and has close relations to Freya. I know many Heathens who work with The Morrighan, either regularly or occasionally. So She is very much connected to many people. Episode 144 Jenna Greene is OFF THE CHARTS. Really, here is what our episode looks like Jenna Jenna Jenna EXTRAVAGANZA!!!!! First, Mojo and Jenna have a deep conversation about the music and Jenna's hopes for one of the songs. Interestingly enough, Sparrow thinks that Jenna's style is perfect for a certain mouse's boss's animated movies. We aren't saying the name of the phenom that is, but Jenna does IN the interview because one of us is anti-capitalist, but you might have got the hint. Then, the WHOLE musical part of the show is a showcase of Jenna Green and it is amazing. Jenna has a new album called WINGS (Sparrow thinks this album will really take flight). From it, we hear The Cave, Morrighan, and Give Your Dreams Wings (hint hint, this is the song). We are especially fond of live albums, so we are excited to share Kernunnos and Butterfly Maiden Song. Synopsis Known for hunting the supernatural, no mortal man realizes Lord Cedric is one of Sorceress Morrighan’s abominations. After competing in a tournament, he is wed to a Lady of the Court, Angeline. Cedric’s senses begin to overwhelm him and he struggles to decipher his feelings; Are they a creation of his incubine bloodline or truly heartfelt emotions for the girl who has lost it all to him? He finds himself forced to choose between falling in love or continuing his suicidal quest to kill his creator. Epic battles against all manners of beasts and demons fill this story with memorable antagonists such as Morrighan and her two sisters; Romasanta the Father of Werewolves; Succubus Queen Lillith and many more. Find yourself engulfed in lores and history long forgotten from the 12th Century and beyond. Excerpt Angeline’s face mottled. Raised on a farm, she couldn’t help but scoff at the fact his lordship was rather bold for someone of his rank. In all her years at the Castle, not even a peasant had dared to spit in front of a Lady of the Court, let alone relieve himself. It was exasperating keeping her back to him. He was right behind her doing his business while she was trying to gather wood. Dropping what little she had in a pile, she decided it would have to wait. He was in the way and was in no mood to go too far from the camp. She watched as the horses started fussing and fidgeting at their hitching tree. Her eyes caught a strange movement from the tree. Once more, the bare tree shuddered and one horse screamed, pulling its reins tight as it backed away. “There it is.” Cedric finished and turned around to walk back to the horses. “Stay back.” “What is going on?” Swallowing her nervousness, she watched the dead tree quiver again and more screams came from the horses. “What is happening?” “Dinner.” Scoffing, he stopped halfway; the horses were frantic and trying to tug free, biting at their reins. Despite the distance, Angeline could see the whites of the eyes of the horses that were now pawing at the tree. They were desperate and frightened beyond anything she had ever seen. One horse managed to break free and sped off down the trail, leaving its companion screaming and bucking. The other horse was fighting to free itself, but all it produced were raw spots from its harness that dripped blood down its cheek. The bright red lines glistened in the sunlight as the struggle continued. A rumbling was coming from the ground as the dead tree started to grow taller as if a weed pulled up by an unseen hand. The horse was bucking and squealing, foam dripping from its mouth, eyes wild with fear. In horror, Angeline watched as the ground exploded, the horse pulled high in the air. The dead tree was the horn on the nose of a Sand Orm. It was a massive serpent with scales running down into the ground that imitated the look of an earthworm. Smooth and the color of the soil, she marveled over its size as she caught glimpses of a treelike fin that ran the beast’s length. Once more, the ground trembled under her feet. The mammoth Orm snatched the horse dangling from its nose-horn into its mouth. Its gapping jaws were large enough to hold three horses with room for the riders. She slid to her knees in awe as she watched the massive creature eat. Its jaws muffling the horse’s scream quickly, despite the lack of any teeth besides the hard boulder-lined lips. Her ears met with a mixture of crackling and popping, unsure of when she was hearing the bones of the horse or simply the stony collision of the monster’s jaws. Lord Cedric was unmoved. The Orm turned its enormous head to face Cedric, a low groaning rippled from it as it did so. Trees and bushes shifted and moved just behind it and down the trail. The entire forest snaked back and forth like waves on the ocean connected to this monster that towered over them like a small mountain. Th

Drawing on the Bardic traditions his performances are both entertaining and educational, weaving a tapestry of myth, peace, and anthems that speak directly to the heart, but never without a good splash of humour. He is also the voice behind Druidcast, the official podcast of the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids (OBOD, for short) - modern day Druids. You can find out more details about Damh on his Contributor Page on our website. The Story of 'the Spirit of Albion: the Movie' As you probably know by now, we have been following the progress of the making of a new film called The Spirit Of Albion: the Movie. The name of the movie comes from the title of an Album and song by the Pagan Folk musician Damh The Bard. Filming started in April 2011 and final production of the film is taking place now ready for a Beltane release (May 1st 2012). The film revolves around the lives of three young people who are all facing personal challenges of one kind or another. Then on 31st October they find themselves drawn to a clearing in the woods, and nothing is ever quite the same again…. The Archway Theatre Production As you may know the idea for the Movie came from a play that was originally written and created by a group of young people between the ages 16-24 at a Young Adults Workshop under the guidance and direction of Gary Andrews. The play was inspired by the emotive music of Damh the Bard, a famous British Pagan Folk singer. These talented young people chose ten of his songs and weaved a magical, modern day story of very real social issues and how three young Adults are struggling to deal with these challenges in their lives. The play became well loved by the Pagan community. At first it played at The Archway Theatre in Horley, Surrey for three nights where it was a huge success! Damh, his wife Cerri and many other people from the pagan community attended along with friends and family of the cast and crew. People were deeply moved by the powerful play and many people were in tears by time the final curtain fell and the talented young actors bowed to a standing ovation. After the success at The Archway Theatre, the play was revived for a performance at WitchFest International at The Fairfax Halls in Croyden. The Spirit of Albion at Witchfest By this time many of the original cast had moved on to University and “a new age-appropriate cast made up of experienced actors” was brought in for this one-off performance. Again the play proved to be a strong emotive performance. With the demands of its audience, it was realised that this story could have a much wider appeal if a movie was produced. Filming begins! The Shooting script was finished by August 2010; and by April 2011, technical equipment for shooting the movie had been gathered, songs storyboarded, locations chosen, and cast, costumes and make-up were in place. It was time to record the songs for the film sung by the principal cast members and overseen by Damh the Bard. The first shoot was at a private woodland on a beautiful sunny day. Damh was to be filmed playing his song Pagan Ways, and it was here that the flash-back section to Damh’s songGreen and Gray was shot, with Gary Andrews playing the priest and Séan George portraying The Horned God. When commenting on this filming, Damh, in a state of wonder, said: “It was just as I imagined it when I wrote the song” From this comment it sounded to us like Gary and the cast were creating something magical, and we couldn’t wait to find out more. The filming continued throughout the Spring and Summer, taking place on location at The Weald and Downland Museum in Singleton Sussex, then a trip to the West Country to Grimspound, Stonehenge, Wayland Smithy and other wonderful magical sites. Afterwards back to Surrey for some indoor filming which we were lucky enough to see. It was quite magical to watch Damh’s songs brought to life by these talented actors and their supporting crew as well as keeping up with the production via Marq English‘s Video Production Diaries. More than once many of us felt shivers go down our spines as certain scenes were acted out. The final Marathon over-night Shoot Then came the Finale! The over-night and final shoot – at an idyllic private woodland called Morgan’s Wood owned by the lovely Darren and Siobhan Thomas. Well, we arrived late Saturday evening, said “Hello” to everyone, pitched our tent and went to find out what was happening. The principal characters were being made up and changing into costume in a gazebo. While everyone was getting prepared for shooting, it gave us an excellent opportunity for some impromptu interviews with cast and crew, which you will hopefully be hearing in upcoming shows. The Cast prepare for the Final Shoot Now is our chance to show you how amazing the actors looked while playing their roles. Lucy Brennan as Arianrhod Séan George as ‘The Horned God’ Lucy Brennan looked stunning and ethereal as the Goddess Arianrhod, the narrator of the story, and it was fascinating to watch Lucy Darkness, Makeup & Prosthetic expert, turn Séan George into the very masculine Horned God. Lucy also did the prosthetics for Redvers G. Russell to turn him into the mischievious Puck. Redvers G. Russell as Robin Goodfellow (Puck) Joy Tinniswood looked almost elven dressed for her unique portrayal of Cerridwen and Jo Marriott was beautifully intimidating dressed in her armour to play The Morrighan. Joy Tinniswood as ‘Cerridwen’ Joanne Marriott as the Morrighan Filming took all night, with constant supplies of coffee and a welcome warm meal at about 2 a.m. Everyone was tired but in good spirits. The camaraderie between members of the cast and crew was high and it was a pleasure to feel a part of the team. Around the Camp-fire Most of the filming that night took place in a Grove of trees where the scene was set for the Primary human characters to meet up on the 31st October. The talented young actors who played the primary Human characters were Emma Doubleday as ‘Esther’, Ella Sowton as ‘Annie’ and James Abbott as ‘George’ and they played very real and believable parts, drawing us all into the story. The magic of a woodland fire, and the fantastic lighting gave us observers the feeling that for a while we had stepped into an otherworldly realm where the Celtic Gods and Fae walked and that something unseen but magical was happening. As dawn started to break the last of the filming for that night took place. After the final cut at 8.30 am, a lovely warm breakfast of porridge was served (including the hidden ingredients of muscavado sugar and double cream!), after which many of us went off to our tents for a couple of hours sleep, before people started arriving for an afternoon of filming. After four hours sleep we crawled out of our tents, and went to join the many people who had arrived to take part in the afternoon shoot. The heavens had opened and everyone was drenched, but were drinking coffee, eating pastries and still smiling. This was the final shoot of the movie and it was huge. We would like to thank Gary, Joy and the cast and crew of the Spirit of Albion movie for welcoming us with open arms and allowing us to be included in this very special and magical journey. Brighid: The Triple Goddess of the Celtic Irish by Patricia Monaghan An avid traveler, Patricia has researched earth spirituality and goddess worship on three continents. She has traveled widely in Europe, especially in Ireland; she holds dual US/Irish citizenship and has edited two anthologies of contemporary Irish-American writing. She is at work on an Encyclopedia of Celtic mythology and folklore as well as a book of poems based on Irish myth. Here we have an excerpt from Goddesses and Heroines about the Goddess of Imbolg, Brighid. You can read more about Patricia on her website or her Contributor Page. Lyonesse by Brocc Brocc came into being over the summer of 2008 - a product of gales and rain in the woods and a badger who came to stay and has become our symbol. The songs this group weaves tells tales of myth and legend and the old beliefs of our lands and peoples. We embody the history of this land ... and we want to give something back. Our music is timeless, evocative of earlier, simpler times. The instruments reflect our love of forgotten timbres - we play english & swedish bagpipes, woodwinds and recorders, the medieval hurdy-gurdy, mandola and bandurria, and a host of percussion. This is our offering............... You can find out more details about Brocc on Myspace or on their Contributor Page on our website. Anait, Queen of the Shee in Alba by Andy Guthrie We are incredibly privileged to have Andy as a Contributor to the show. He tells stories that are alive in his family today and that have come down through the ages. He says: The old Legends are a passion and a Joy, and the writings of Fiona Macleod are inspiration, in all I do. I have been a Head gardener of 31 years for large house, and sill working, I see the years come and go from spring to winner, and love it all. I retell the old stories. You can read more about Andy on his Myspace page or on our Contributor Page. Scarborough Fair by Skully Skully has graciouslly allowed us to play his rousing version of Scarborough Fair from his album Irish Makeover. The vocals on this track are by Annette Buckley. "These are songs that have been performed and sung for generations", says Skully, "from the sean-nos singer beside a fire in an old thatched cottage to grand orchestrated versions, these songs have been passed down through the years". You can find out more details about Skully on Myspace or on their Contributor Page on our website. Celts v Romans: Diarmid's 1st Battle by Conor Diarmid is a Briton form the Cantiac tribe of the South East. He and his friends are preparing to face their adult rituals when a threat comes from across the channel, a threat of the very worst kind. The news from the Gauls is that the Romans plan to invade the Britannic Isles, once they have conquered Gaul. A force must be sent to Gaul to help them in a great battle, to drive the Romans Out. But there are traitors at home, who must be dealt with quickly. But which tribe are they? What is their plan? Will Diarmid and his friends be brave enough to face these trials? Will Aedan the Druid have the wisdom to guide them? OR will the life, and the people, they love be destroyed by the Roman power? You can find out more about Conor on our Contributor page or get his book from Amazon. Morrighan's Quest by Laura Powers Step into a world that is steeped in the imagery of another era. Reach through the portal of time with a mystical experience at Stonehenge (Circle of Stone), fly on the raven's wing as Morrighan prepares to meet her destiny (Morrighan's Quest) and journey to the quiet place "in-between my thoughts and my dreams" (My Avalon) that so many of us seek. There is something at work here beyond the usual scope of imagery and songs. You're invited to experience the musical journey now… You can find out more about Laura at her website or on our Contributor page. Imbolg, from Land, Sea & Sky by Shae Clancy and Francine Nicholson Shae Clancy and Francine Nicholson have collected essays from Celtic scholars to form a fascinating book that helps to explain the difference between Celtic fact (what we actually know) from Celtic fiction (what we speculate). Sadly, the book has never been published and Francine passed away in 2003. Shae has enabled the book to be published on the web. Francine Nicholson, M.A., was a librarian in New England and scholar of all things Celtic. The loss of her passing, perhaps appropriately on 1 February 2003 (Imbolc), is poignantly crystallised by fellow Celtic scholar, David Stifter: 'It is very sad news to hear that Francine Nicholson has left us. She had a vast and astounding erudition and knowledge of Celtic mythology and folklore, and her contributions . . . were a great source of enrichment and information. I feel it as a heavy loss that she will no longer contribute to our discussions.' You can read Land, Sea and Sky on Shae's website. Listener Feedback Matt We read an email from Matt, who raises a question about identifying the characters from Irish Mythology. Brighid by Kellianna Kellianna can be found on Myspace, but her own website provides lots of useful information, including the lyrics to her songs, another chance to listen to more music as well as being able to buy her two CDs. Her music can also be purchased through iTunes. You can find out more details about Kellianna on her Contributor Page on our website. The track she has given us permission to play is called Brighid, and you can find the lyrics on her site. About the track she says: This is another song where the lyrics were written by Heidi Couture for an Imbolc gathering in February of 2002. I wrote the guitar part and again it was another perfect marriage! On the CD Laney Goodman adds some beautiful woodwind tracks and Tina Horn kicks in on the djembe. The dream feels so real she must force herself to get a grip. This experience is just the beginning for Eve, a Los Angeles clinical hypnotherapist and researcher investigating whether reincarnation is fact or fiction. Unstoppable visions of an ancient lifetime steal days from her. The danger escalates when she wakes up physically injured and marked with a strange symbol. While Eve battles the past to maintain her sanity and safety, her project is jeopardized as another researcher’s attempts to take over. One partner dies and another is accused of inappropriate conduct. Eve and her friend, Dr. Andrea McMurray, don’t believe in coincidence and probe their shared visions for answers. On the other side of the Atlantic, Welshman Ryerson Sanders is haunted by his dreams and believes Eve’s research project can help him. For both of them, an ancient Celtic prophecy and long-sought revenge entangles the past with the present. A druidess and a shape-shifter must join to save the druid way of life, while a queen conspires to kill Erin’s only high king. Will the oaths and agendas of the past reach across the centuries to strengthen or to destroy? Find the book at Podiobooks.com and at themarkofadruid.com. Promo - The Fox Arlene Radasky The Fox The Fox is a historical novel that contains adventure, ancient Celtic beliefs, sacrifice, love of family, ancient and modern culture, and divorce. Have you ever wondered who your ancestors were? How did they live? How did they die? Most of us do. In The Fox, you will follow the lives of Jahna and Lovern, two people who lived in what is now Scotland, during the time of the invading Romans. The Romans threatened Jahna and Lovern, their clan and most importantly, the life of their child. They struggled to find a way to stop the coming invasion and in doing so, left traces of their lives. Aine is working to rebuild her career and is led by instinct, or a vision (or is it a ghost?) to a hilltop in Scotland.
